It do not affect top tier killers for the most part. Skill decides a lot for those killers.
Can you name objective factors that make one of these two Hillbilly players better than the other?
https://youtu.be/6lmIYb1iTyQ https://youtu.be/yHP4IG3zj0cBoth of them play double engravings and both of them know how to curve and parkour as Billy so what makes one of them better than the other player?

I think it'd be a pretty massive nerf as it'd hit him hard on map mobility.
Having to go to a Locker to refill just for that wastes time everytime it happens.
It can also lead to you not having fuel, or very little, once you do find someone, making people have to decide between 2 ultimatums: Don't sprint around and save fuel for taking one down, or use fuel for running around and restrict yourself to just your main weapon.
This.
The only thing I would consider nerfing is instasaw as it removes the need for good predictions most of the time thus making it kinda easy mode. Then again... Even with any addon he can still be looped like a regular killer.
-
No.
-
No such thing as a "best" killer/survivor player as skill is only 1 of many factors that decide how you perform in DBD. Map, rng, builds, lag/latency etc - all these factors have huge impacts on the outcome of every single match.
-
By the way why is Legion so low in the list? They're pretty good memes imo:

How about the AFK Myers video lol
Afk Myers was awesome as well especially the "you get what you deserve" part hahaha
-
-
You realize both of these addons do pretty much nothing, don't you?
-
Everytime someone even says "rank" I immediately assume the person must be new or bad at the game especially when it comes to DBD.
-
Last time I decided to play solo survivor I played 3 games 2 of which had MULTIPLE survivors who were in the killer's friends list and thus helped them kill me by blocking me at generators.
That was about 1 month ago. Haven't played any solo survivor game since. All of them had red ranks and just a couple hours in the game. Needless to say I think playing killer is BY FAR less frustrating than playing solo survivor, too. I'm at 4000+ hours at this point by the way.
I 4k pretty much every single time even with meme builds and bad addons against any red rank players as Bubba.
Meanwhile as solo survivor you can legit loop the killer for MULTIPLE MINUTES and still die because no one is touching gens.
That's why I don't even act toxic when I face SWF teams. They're just trying to find a way to enjoy survivor gameplay. I can't blame them honestly.
-
So why are you hiding the real data? We all know Bubba is the hottest killer. No other man can look as deep into your eyes as Bubba when you're hooked ! Bubba's bond goes deeper than anything else in this world.
-
Farming itself is not bannable however specifically working with the killer to kill another survivor is a bannable offense.
What to do when it happens:
1) Record it and try to make it so all survivors can easily be identified separately. Recording them while they are injured, healed, downed etc. can be helpful to identify them easier.
2) open the menu so all survivors, their character models and their names are displayed in the video separately.
3) record the post game screen so the killer's name is displayed.
4) upload the clip on YouTube.
5) submit a ticket and copy the Youtube link to the video in the ticket. If the video is obvious enough they will get banned pretty quickly.
I've reported a group recently myself that did the same thing. They recorded themselves blocking me in a corner till their killer friend arrived to kill me. I used their own video to get them banned.
A few days after reporting them I checked their profiles and one of them took a screenshot of the "you got banned" message at the start menu. That's why I know they got banned.
Long story short: Submitting a ticket works wonders!

Quote: "Same with yellow flashlights compared to purple instablind ones with Odd Bulb and everything."
The devs removed "insta-blind" YEARS ago.

The thread makes no sense.
Killers are toxic because they had to deal with toxic survivors before? You can literally use the same argument for toxic survivors.
"bUt tHeY pRoBaBly hAd To dEaL wiTh A tOxiC kiLLeR bEfOrE"
No, just no. One can not justify being an arse.
As for your other statement: "killers are meant to be overpowered"
No, they are not. Dead By Daylight is not a movie - it's a PVP game. Killers are meant to be BALANCED. Neither side is supposed to be overpowered as you're playing against REAL PEOPLE.
-
Killers aren't op. Most survivors are just bad. In the current state of the game it goes like this:
strong SWF > strong killer > average SWF > average killer > most solo survivors > weak killer > weak survivors (including weak SWF teams as they will throw the game for altruism allowing even bad killers to snowball easily)
-
I have an instadown...
-
PC players are better than console players by the way haha
-
Seems balanced because:
- If the survivor uses the window from the inside they will fast vault and gain some distance granting the chance to reach a loop outside the building.
- if the survivor fast vaults into the building the killer will catch up quickly using the door and most likely get the hit/down as the survivor won't have enough distance to reach a loop.
So basically this change makes the loop a fair 50/50 chance for both sides or at least it seems that way. Obviously there's still Dead Hard for distance and stuff and we don't know what pallet changes there will be so we will have to see. But from the looks of it I think it will be a decent change.
-
Your tbagging throughout the match tells me you just posted this clip to brag. As for the number of kills he had a chance to 3k despite playing like a newbie. If he had waited for your Dead Hard at the gate and if he had found the slugged survivor who was lucky enough to find the hatch crawling it would have been a 3k. The total duration of the match was 10 minutes. That's just as long as a match should be. Endgame is still part of the match.
-
So we are ignoring the fact that some killers can pip/rank up brainlessly easy compared to others?
-
Even if you submit a ticket and upload a video that leaves no room for misinterpretation griefing trolls usually only get banned for 1 day unless they get caught doing bannable stuff multiple times. I reported a group that worked with the killer the other day.
They were in each others friends list. One of them recorded themselves blocking me at a generator for minutes till their killer friend came to kill me. He hadn't managed to even touch me all game despite playing instasaw Hillbilly which was kinda sad in the first place.
Anyways long story short I used their own video as evidence and only one of them got banned for literally 1 single day. I expected them to get banned for AT LEAST a month.
-
Total survivors: 152
Number of survivors who escaped: 48
-
All survivors are just skins to me
-
Yes, let's pretend you wouldn't tunnel someone to death if it wasn't for ds haha.
-
Well I sure hope that guy quits the game. Whiny baby killers who get mad over their own incompetence and thus try to ruin the game for others are the reason most skillful solo survivors have stopped playing the game resulting in a combination of boring games against potato survivors and sweaty SWF squads - never something in between.
-
Despite being a fan of most horror movie icons I gotta admit I don't know anything about Candyman. What's his power?
-
What's this list based on? As in what kind of survivor mindset? Because I'm pretty sure survivors that care about escaping are mostly afraid of Bubba as he has that stigma of never giving you more than 1 chance.
-
People will always act like little arses in PVP games regardless of what's going on in this world. Best thing you can do is practice to ignore it.
I literally had another 1 minute game the other day. Downed a tbagging Dwight easily. Dwight disconnects. Find/down a Meg - she disconnects. Find/down an Adam - he disconnects. 5 gens left. Hatch still spawns right next to the last survivor - another Meg.
Meg keeps vault spamming for a solid 3 minutes (I wanted to see just how long that person would do it) till I eventually went to the hatch and got my dose of tbagging before Meg finally decided to jump through the hatch at 5 gens left.
That's just how things are. If hypocrites and childish arses make the game completely unbearable for you I (respectfully) suggest to play something else because PVP gamers will always act that way even if there were a zombie apocalypse out there.

That's not correct. While you are downed the track "punished" is played:
https://youtu.be/r60SYapg_EYAt topic: I don't think the track "being watched" made it into the live version of the game or it was removed like Michael Myers' tier 1 stalking sound effect (it was removed post DLC if I remember correctly):

Quote: "at least one of us can win".
How can you possibly consider a 1 person hatch escape "winning"? It's more like a "ok your team got completely destroyed - you're free to go now" kinda escape.

I thought the next mid chapter was about Hillbilly's and Bubba's addons?

That's all you have to say? 800+ posts and that's all you say? No input or no opinion huh? Probably because I'm mostly right about everything I've stated.
You can not expect people to be kind if you consider playing killer "baby mode". Obviously those that enjoy the role are gonna feel offended to some degree as you reduce their efforts by calling it baby mode. Personally I don't feel offended but I understand some people will.
As for the topic itself: Playing killer does feel easy for the most part - I will agree there (4000 hours Bubba main/playing since 2017 who's been rank 1 on both sides a million times). However after all these years I have realized three major things:
1) Elite survivors who never panic, know all weaknesses of every killer and loop completely flawlessly like machines will pretty much always win unless you play a killer that can ignore game mechanics (Spirit and Nurse come to mind)
2) Elite survivors are extremely rare. In fact I can easily play 10 games without finding a survivor I would consider even strong.
3) Due to the fact elite survivors are rare as hell the game can NEVER be balanced around them otherwise "normal survivors" would never escape. Since normal survivors make up the majority the game MUST be balanced around them so if I end up facing a team of really strong survivors I will take the loss and move on unlike "truly talented streamers" who think they should have a chance to win literally every match.
-
For me it's always Bills. Most of them are probably Left 4 Dead fans who want to give DBD a shot because it includes one or Left 4 Dead's most popular characters. However since DBD has virtually nothing in common with Left 4 Dead all those Bill players seem to be kinda weak. Sometimes I feel bad for killing them.

So it's just a bad version of lithe?
4 seconds speed boost instead of 3, can be combined with pallet stuns for additional distance unlike Lithe, doesn't require pallet vaulting thus allowing you to use unsafe pallets to get to stronger loops more easily and you could still loop double walls and the jungle gym window or the killer shack window without wasting it unlike Lithe etc.
-
I posted an exhaustion perk idea a while ago based on chase duration as I would like to see a (very rewarding) exhaustion perk survivors have to work for:
@Yamaoka said:
Description: "getting chased for a set period of time boosts your confidence and your will to survive. Determined to not go down you drop a pallet and use the chance to escape.
Determined prey activates after a total chase duration of 60/50/40 seconds. Dropping a pallet while Determined Prey is active allows the survivor to sprint at 150% of their running speed for a maximum of 4 seconds.
Determined Prey can not be used while exhausted. Using Determined Prey causes exhaustion 60/50/40 seconds"
NOTE: I realize a 4 second 150% sprint is extremely strong. However if you think about it all the other exhaustion perks don't have actual requirements and still grant either immunity (Dead Hard) or a 3 second 150% sprint for doing nothing special.
Sprint Burst: You just start running. 3 seconds 150% sprint.
Lithe: Vault pallet or window. 3 seconds 150% sprint.
Balanced Landing: Fall down somewhere. 3 seconds 150% sprint and no sound while falling.
"Determined Prey" requires you to actually get chased for a set period of time before you can even try to use it to escape the killer. It rewards strong survivors and still requires a pallet to use once activated. It's basically an exhaustion perk you have to work for.
It triggers by dropping a pallet (so it requires resources) and gets activated after a total chase duration of x-seconds (so you have to work for it) and results in a 4 second sprint burst.

Lol watch otz hillbilly vid when every survivor was in arms reach the whole game and gens still flew..then you'll know why I say what I do..gens still go by way too fast on the new maps which are the devs modeling plan..and even then..what? We wait six years for map reworks which solve nothing at all? Lol
What video are you referring to?
-
Even the slightest map change (this includes change of loop variables) can have huge impacts on the outcome of a match. The harvester loop (to name a sample) used to be quite a pain to mess with. However the devs nerfed Balanced Landing AND repositioned the hay allowing killers to either just use the vault to catch the survivor or even jump on the hay allowing some killers to straight up instadown survivors trying to loop the harvester:
https://youtu.be/ulnidbrNZFgSo yes, map changes can (and most likely will) change a lot in the long run. It just takes a lot of time.

no its really not
It's literally listed when you click on the troll icon when you report someone as "working with the killer". Besides it's common sense that cheating -by working with the killer to kill all the other survivors- is bannable.

Its only bannable because they were holding you hostage normally this is not a bannable offense
Working with the killer to kill another survivor by itself is a bannable offense.
-
1 = that's more than just annoying. It's bannable. Actually I submitted a ticket a few days ago because 2 survivors (who were in the killer's friends list) trapped me next to a gen I repaired till their killer friend arrived (after failing to catch the other solo survivor despite a 2 minute chase (they trapped me long enough for multiple crows to spawn) while playing Hillbilly with instasaw. They even recorded themselves doing it so I downloaded the footage from their profiles and sent it in said ticket.
If they don't get banned despite recording themselves doing it I'll be speechless.
-
@Acromio said:
As far as the game's rules go, this isn't holding the game hostage, as you're eventually going to die, be it because the bleedout gauge runs out or because the killer will eventually commit to the mori.
It's griefing, though.

The survivor queue was really quick for me that day so I just thought close it down when loading rather than leaving the lobby and letting others get screwed by them. He is a red rank killer as well??? Make no sense to me to cheat to get to red rank. There isn't even an achievement on console for getting to rank 1. He was the deathslinger and I'm not even kidding he was easily the worst one I have faced so far. If she wasn't sandbagging everyone. We would have been out easy.
She even had deliverance on so when it was the final 2. He could hook her and she can direct him to the last one and then unhook herself. Proper scummy behaviour.
Canceling their games and informing other players is about the best thing one can do but I'm still disappointed they're still not banned even though they've been farming survivors to death since freaking 2018. Just out of curiousity what map was it when he played Deathslinger?
-
@MPUK said:
On xbox I had two people with very similar names that had ITA at the end as a separate word. One was a survivor the other was the killer. The survivor was doing nothing, obviously at this point I didn't know the killer's name. Afterwards when I'm dead after being sold put by this survivor I realise what was going on. 10mins later I'm in a lobby with the girl again, I check recently played with. Same guy is the killer. Wait for the lobby to start loading the game and close the game. You can waste your time trying to get a lobby together again. I also messaged the 2 other survivors saying don't play with that person, they're cheating.
I should be able to block ever playing with those kinds of people
I know these two you're talking about. They've been doing this since 2018 and still didn't get banned even though the entire XBOX DBD Community must have reported them at this point. Goes to show that reporting does absolutely nothing.

Pennywise is literally an entity from another dimesion. The entity would probably make a deal with Pennywise but in the end his power would be useless. Adults aren't exactly afraid of Pennywise. And shapeshifting will never work foe this game at all. Unless they let you shapeshidt into gens or pallets or something.
Didn't Pennywise die because it got called names?
-
Just so you know survivor lobbies are actually crazy fast at the moment. Takes only seconds for me to find a lobby at red ranks. Too bad I refuse to play solo survivor at the moment. Boring as hell with all the trolls who block you in a corner just because you killed them in another game as killer.

-
The fact she just started mending instead of running and disconnected as soon as you downed her means she was probably just annoyed of Legion. Therefore she didn't mean to taunt you. Person was just annoyed of mend-simulator. Just what I think.
