Absolutely casual. I am extremely resentful at being dragged into an MMR system when I play unranked exclusively in every other online game
-
I watch a lotta horror flicks but not really any slashers. I prefer anthologies.

Resilience and this is not happening
Yeah! There's dozens of perks you can do this with. I had a whole list typed up when I first started playing this game, but then I gave up on it.
-
I wish they'd combine one or more bad low tier perks into one better one. Hope and Lightweight fire example.

Going after unique Survivors six times without losing the game in the process is a significant amount of work if you're the Pig.
You don't have to do that though. If you play normally you're very likely going to get at least two bonus traps. If you're hellbent on tunnelling survivors to death then you're gonna get less, but that's not really an interesting way to play the game and I'm not interested in incentivizing it.
Reckon you could lower it down to an extra trap per two tokens. That'd give it a nice synergy with Make Your Choice but I think an additional six traps would be too strong

I wouldn't use that add-on, personally. That is an absurd amount of work in order to have an add-on that is better than Jigsaw's Sketch.
..... hooking survivors is work? What's not work then?
-
Ah, a get out of jail free card, every time you get hit. What could go wrong?
-
Even the best killer players in the game cannot overcome a good swf when they are playing a mid-low tier killer.
This is just..... factual. There are many stressful otz games where he fails to do well because of this. Denying it is like trying to say water isn't wet.
-
Yes, if it were buffed heavily, it would be a decent perk. What's your point?
-
Shock a year and a half before you think you should. Latency makes the timing really tricky.
-
He is good, actually.
-
Spies should prevent the killer from disturbing crows.
-
He changed the criteria for a win heavily.

Here's my prediction:
"We've noticed that Dead Hard has seen a surge of use since the improvement of validation. We wanted to make a perk that gives the survivor the chance to dodge a hit from the killer, but we understand that this sometimes causes frustration for the killer player. We've taken a look at the data, and we feel comfortable with making a change to make Dead Hard feel more fair while retaining the perk's identity and fun. From now on, Dead Hard will now cause the exhaustion status effect for 65/55/45 seconds, an increase from 60/50/40 seconds. We'll be keeping a close eye to see if any further changes are warranted in the future"
They're not gonna make exhaustion perks have different timers for new player accessibility.

I genuinely don't understand why so many people think BHVR blindly follow stats for their balancing when that clearly isn't true and hasn't been for a while.
Yeah, just like 80% stats 20% feedback.

Its the perk Tier should be removed, not double BP gain.
You earn 18.000 BP, you use it to get Items/Addon/Offering for the next match (With the maximum possible is 25.000BP)
Earn double BP would make people only use high rarity addon/item.
Yeah, this one. I don't really wanna see 4 iridescents every game.

DMS isn't meta apparently.
I've seen it....twice? Once on a pinhead and once on an artist. Corrupt is nearly every game though.
-
I'm really wary of it. I'm not sure what they're pushing for is what I like about legion. It is a buff though.
-
Only if I can make it private.

Cry more lol it is already gone to useless.
I don't think we need the hatch back as it was before but there maybe a need to revisit how the hatch works because most survivors think it is useless. Honestly I always take stock of the doors and if its not a super speed killer I will often wait need a door to hit it. Cause the number of times I have had a killer stand on top of a hatch to wait for me to appear is insane. If they are just hard camping the hatch and there is only one gen left I'll try to go to a gen close to a door get it done get the light to come on and run to the far door and get it open. Seeing the sad look on the killers face as the realize they got played is great.
Jokes on you, I give the last survivor the gate every game no matter what. It's free -MMR, baybee

The day the announced the perk there was an actual, "We Won" thread posted by Killers, and I think it had 6 f*cking pages of Killers patting themselves on the back.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/316816/coh-nerfed-we-won-guys-we-won
Read the thread. Look at the comments. Most people agree the nerf was understandable, but the wrong way to go about it. Hell, the comment with the most updoots says exactly that and it's got more than the OP.
As an aside saying "KILLERS WANT THIS" and "KILLERS ARE LIKE THIS" is a really reductive way to get your point across. Folks that prefer that role are not a hive mind. Dead by daylight has two parts to it, if you're not playing them both you're limiting your experience of the game.

Absolutely. This is why new Killers don't start at the minimum rating; we expect your experience with the game as a whole to transfer over.
I lost like twenty games at plague when I picked her up. It was awful. I went back to legion and clown for a long time. They play completely differently.

The killer MMR deviation is very small.

Sure it does. That’s what Dead by Daylight is all about!
If that's really what is all about? Then it shouldn't be.
-
I haven't seen a single "WE WON" thread from these supposed killer mains.
What I have seen are a bunch of well-reasoned and insightful posts about how most folks didn't want it nerfed in this fashion. They wanted Circle (and boons in general) to be a powerful but limited resource. Their infinite nature means that they'll always have to have a weak effect to not be oppressive.
And honestly? Circle? Still a good perk. A-tier. It's telling how incredibly overpowered it was at launch that it's been scaled back drastically and is still a really good perk.
-
I don't understand endgame builds. They aren't fun for me, for some reason. Chases and the back and forth of gens are the interesting bits of the game. After all the gens are done I mentally check out.
-
I really don't think the game needs more ways for people to be rude to one another.
-
People would hardly ever endorse killers.

Can we assume that serious consideration is being given to upgrade to UE5? It seems that opens up huge possibilities for optimisation?
This would just be a new game. You're asking for dbd2

i can confirm rookie spirit was in the shrine at one point. way back when, i bought it thinking it would be a game changer, but i barely use it now.
Ah, I had no clue. I was thinking it would be bad but underrated, like old Boil Over.
-
The Horizon games have incredibly aggressive culling of everything not in the screen. I can only assume DBD renders everything, all the time, at an time. If probably has some weird assets that don't need to be loaded in knocking around as well. They don't fix this cuz it would break the game.
-
Last QnA they heavily implied that they were going to raise the limit. Why has it taken them so long to actually do it? Behavior Interactive reasons.

Silent bell w/aura reading is incredibly powerful and they aren’t even perks. Anyone who says these are not a problem in a match is not being honest.
Yeah but then you're playing against a wraith so uhhhh..... Still not problem.
-
I saw this happen to a legion yesterday. It was dead dawg and a duo abusing Exponential at the main building. The legion obviously didn't know what it was even when he ran past it. Felt bad for him. 2k, but a very miserable game.
-
When you mention only a killer's strengths and omit their weaknesses any of them sound strong. It's a disingenuous way to frame your argument.
That being said, I'm certain they'll figure out some way to leave legion worse than before.
-
Remember that timed they heavily nerfed coup de gras? Haha
-
I miss them as a vague metric to measure myself vs. my teammates and enemies. I'd rather just have MMR visible after some fashion though.
-
I wish blindness were more powerful and reliable. I see Windows in many of my games as well.

Did no one watch the video? The title is a joke.

PIP = Climb rank
High rank = More points
What's not to understand about that?
I....I don't care about BP? I have all the perks I want and a stockpile of addons and items that cover my needs. Climbing in rank is not rewarding, it's just an indicator of how often you play the game.

He still could be better than what he is now tho.
So could 90% of the roster. I think if his zombies had consistent and good pathing he'd be A-tier.

Make the effect of carter's notes discipline add-on base kit (reduce detonation delay by 0.3 seconds) and have the discipline add-ons have a different effect (the affliction of discipline can stay the same though) and add new hallucination effects, such as fake totems, fake breakable walls and fake boon totems.
This one. The shock delay needs to be slightly less. The timing is really punishing with latency.
-
Why does he need a buff? He's quite good
-
I have never once paid attention to pips and cannot understand the mind of anyone that does. I click through all that endgame stuff immediately, look at my opponent's builds, say GG and requeue. Don't care about emblems either unless it's for a rift challenge.
-
If you have to hoot and holler about how you could have won but chose not to, it kind of makes it gross. I do the same thing, but I don't talk about it. Pretty sure survs know.
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
Hmmm how about this:
If someone DC within the first 5 min of the game, the match would be canceled OR there is no punishmenet for leaving.
If the end game colaps will not end the game, you are able to DC without punishments and you keep all your bloodpoints.
"I would love to DC at my first down every game. Please make it happen bhvr"
-
I wasn't around back in this supposed no heal meta, but it doesn't sound so bad to me? At least if you catch a survivor in a dead zone or a bad position you can down them.

@Vampwire said:
Undying basically already does this. Plus being able to move your totem around indefinitely would mean all the risk/reward factor of it would be removed. Hook a survivor next to your totem? It's alright I'll just move it. Oh this guy knows where my totem is? It's fine I'll just move it somewhere else.
Well the alternative is tunneling the survivor that knows out of the game, so it's not really that bad of a solution.

If he left of his own volition, he never would have left the Auris. It's his lifeline and he cannot get another one.
