Just play both based on queue times. I can't understand people that only play one side.
-
I own stranger things on steam but play on gamepass. Really don't want my millions and millions of blood points to go to waste.
-
I can't run perks I don't get guaranteed value out of. Perks that ensure you get to the end game are better for me.

Just bait it out
Half the time their so focused on when you're going to swing their not paying attention to what's in front of them they run in to walls, trees and things. Don't swing like a crazy person and you'll be all right.
Yeah man I love hugging every survivors ass, for forever, on the chance they have dead hard(they do). Then if they hold it weirdly long you miss anyway. Super compelling gameplay.

Do you mean hindered rather than incapacitated? If not then it'd still be useful for stopping gens getting done in your face. Edge case, but still nice.

Seeing the new Never-Sleep Pills and Prayer Tablet Fragment makes me eager for more direct side grade add-ons that change how the killer plays. Here is a proposition for Demogorgon's Rotten Pumpkin:
Pumpkin flesh infected by the rotten soil in Hawkins.
- Traversing the Upside Down destroys the Portal entered by The Demogorgon.
- Exiting the Upside Down blocks All Windows and Vault locations within 32 meters of the Portal for Survivors for the duration of the Of the Abyss cooldown. The Aura of the blocked Vault locations are revealed to you for the duration.
- Grants 200 bonus Bloodpoints for traversing the Upside Down.
Rotten Pumpkin allows you to destroy and move your own Portals, an effect that Demogorgon was unable to do. However, the Add-on is not as strong, as while it's utility is nice, it takes more than it gives in most cases. Building in Claustrophobia into the add-on should be interesting, as it provides some chase assistance after portaling. It at most would last 10 seconds, as that is the current cooldown of Of the Abyss.
Please point out any oversights below. Thank you!
This poster has a series of them. They're all quite good imo. Show their threads some love.

Appreciate it. Any advice/feedback for these or ideas for some of the other ones? I'm stuck for the rest.
Honestly? They're much more creative than anything I can come up with and seem to fit the mould of changing up killers' gameplay. I especially like the clown one, deafen is really underutilized and works with the noise they give off.
-
These meme add-on ideas you've been pumping out are very clever. Really enjoying reading them.
-
I thought it was auric cells for the last one.
-
I always have fun when I play survivor, solo or not. The people that complain about it are the ones that screech about their team being the issue and of course, never them, in every other multiplayer title. No self awareness in them.

Hexes and boons are not the same mechanic, and shouldn't be considered the same way for balancing.
The reason that boons aren't broken on snuff or are one use only is because they're designed to provide continual slowdown from survivors who keep staying off generators to relight their boons and keep their buffs up. Through that lens, we can undertand that single-use boons or single-use specific totems is a catastrophically bad idea that'd completely undercut the entire intended effect.
We also have to consider that boons aren't broken. Circle of Healing in particular is broken, but after its upcoming nerf, it should be... more manageable, at least? I'm not sure, it might need more but that's not really the point- the point is, the other three boons are not overpowered. Two of them are nearly useless and the third one is just decent, so clearly boons don't actually need any real adjustments.
At least, not major ones. I do think some things could change, I'd personally like if the killer could hear the directional cue from further away, but it's just minor tweaks like that.
Yeah, it's bizzare that people even equate them. The only aspect they share is a totem interaction, but they do it in a completely different way.

So it isn't fun having a fairer game? Killers fun doesn't matter?
Everyone's fun obviously matters. But you can't be punitive toward people for playing the game how they want. For similar reasons you can't make hook camping punishable, for example. Folks have different conceptions of fun.
A better solution is to give killers a multiplicative BP bonus depending upon how many survivors are grouped up. Don't punish the players, take the bite out of unfortunate situations.

Clearly you must to care that much. It's funny the killer mentality you get so mad over a t-bag and Macro you throw the game and get butt hurt. Poor you. Some internet person didn't play how you like:(
Jesus, this is some awful tribalistic garbage. We're all playing the same video game
-
Doing this to a Mikey is a war crime.

- Its not fair for killers. Its easy for killers. Boons beside CoH arent stroong enough to justify such a change. Even CoH would be useless with such a change.
- Cause hexes arent Boons. Hexes effect the whole game, not just a certain part. Hexes are designed for this setup. Theyre not Boons.
- You can snuff them within some seconds. Killer would cry a river if they have to break a totem for 16s.
- The AoE is already not that big. Killers still ignore that yxou have to run up to that area in order to get the benefit.
- Surely not.
I'd happily spend 16s on a boon if it got rid of it permanently.
-
You can't punish people for having fun with their friends. Ridiculous.
-
It is immediately nerfed if you find the glowing, crackling pile of bones and hold m1 for a bit.
-
I support showing them after, with a BP multiplier for the killer.
-
He really really didn't need the terror radius nerf.
-
Really combative post. I'm sorry you feel that folks who are just trying to win the game are "toxic". Your language doesn't really engender sympathy.
-
Nobody looks at reports that do not have footage attached
-
I was hoping he had a psychotic break and decided to go murder, but it looks like he was taken seeing as how he left the auris behind.
-
Imagine if you weren't playing a survivor-approved killer.
-
I don't especially want one. Don't care for the character.
-
I've been taking photos of my dumb perk builds to remember them. It's a fairly jank way to get around something that should just be in the game.
-
.....shurikens? He's an organ stealing demon, not ninja.

Dumb stuff like what?
It makes corner techs a thing. It removes tracking through walls which makes breaking line of sight incredibly strong vs. any killer, it makes inside tech way more effective.

@Tr1nity said:
This is basically something that fixes it for every killer except spirit.
ya know, the only killer where IW is a problem
Iron will gives survivors leeway to do all kinds of dumb stuff that's impossible without it. It needs some sort of limiting factor.
-
You have to have footage attached to the report of the offender showing the offense, along with a notarized statement from each teammate saying that yes they were in fact a problem. Then you need to pack your bags, go to Canada and present bhvr with fancy chocolates and prostrate yourself before their headquarters.
Then and only then, will they maybe look at your report. Maybe. If they feel like it.

Categorically not. I feel like I'm the only one who remembers how awful the emblem system of matchmaking was.
You are not. My games were much more random and fun. Sometimes I'd get a lobby of green ranks that inexplicably spanked me. Sometimes I'd get red ranks who were terrible. That each game had that sort of variance kept me engaged.
Things are rote now. Predictable. If I 4k a couple of times I'm going to go against obnoxious full meta survivors. If I beat them I'm going to be paired vs. teams I have no reasonable way of beating, which is frustrating and unfun. The implementation is so straightforward and simple that it's moronic.
-
I'm really hoping for a survivor/killer hybrid. The observer has a tendency toward violence, getting blackout drunk and he's really bitter about his situation. I'd love it if those tendencies led him to cooperate with the entity, while another version of him sent himself into the trials out of guilt to stymie his killer-self.
-
No, it's pretty oppressive. Especially when it's in every. Single. Game. On every single survivor.
Points for being contrarian though. Well done.

I much prefer these changes to a gimmick to be honest. I know that's not a very common opinion, but hey, I play Legion because I like their current power.
Yeah it's weird to me how people get hung up on a trailer from years ago. It's over. It's dead. What op is proposing is just a new killer named legion. Where's that leave everybody that likes their current gameplay and simply wants to see it refined and improved? Foolish to not consider that.
-
I like the idea of a killer than hampers the survivors when they look at them somehow. I think that's fitting for slendyman.

As a non english mothertongue a question. Your last sentence means you play killer a lot? Its a problem of understanding. I am sorry.
Yes, I play killer a great deal out of obligation. It feels like doing the community a service rather than for my own enjoyment.
-
My games are simply very swingy. If I have the temerity to 4k a couple of times then I'm vs. full TTV seal team lobbies. If I just go for hooks and no kills then I play vs. Claudes and Dwights trying to meld into trees. A happy medium simply does not happen without careful manipulation on my part which is extremely tedious.

To be fair Solo Q ain’t no fun either and most of time it’s a cheap way for millers to get easy games. Since the recent MMR tests I’ve stopped playing Solo Q and only play SWF now or killer.
ive played against a few swfs and to be honest it’s not been anywhere near as bad as solo q, which is probably why I don’t mind it as much, sure you can get some sweaty games but overall I rarely lose any, might be killer permitted though I use wraith hah
I don't know why people say this. I have fun on survivor regardless of whether I'm grouped with others. If the queue times weren't prohibitive I'd never play killer.
-
I actually really like the obsession key addon. You know what half your team is doing at all times with it, it doesn't require a charge. I pair it with blood amber and get pretty good value.
The real issue is that medkita and BNPs outshine every other item by such a wide margin. Dunno what to do about that.
-
They implied they're gonna look at base wiggle in the patch notes. Dunno why they can't ever roll out related changes at the same time, but that's behavior Interactive.
-
Most pvp games don't support the workshop. You'd just have neon client side survivor skins and transparent texture packs so you can see through geometry.
-
Looking forward to having 60+ of that 4% speed-when-the-game-is-over addon.

Marty Mcfly Ray Tracing shader (RTGI) works on non RTX cards but it's not free and GeForce Experience Freestyle might have Ray Tracing options in the future.
Can't use them on gamepass/Microsoft store. Maybe epic or whatever as well.

I'll just copy and paste my response from a similar thread:
Grades correlate to time spent in the game, which is analogous to having a working knowledge of the game more often than not. An iri 1 survivor is gonna be better than a bronze whatever survivor by dint of experience the vast majority of the time. It's more than a little silly to say the two are not related at all.
-
This is quite a lot, but I'll say reviving a survivor or resetting every survivor's hooks by one is exponentially more powerful than resetting a single gen. Also the last thing I want to do as a killer is to ignore survivors to go off massage pustules or whatever.
-
@Blueberry said:
Here's another.
Why do they ask how "useful" the new survivor perks are but only how "fun" the new killer perks are?
Like seriously?
Killers are set dressing to facilitate survivor gameplay and fun. Their priorities have always been obvious.

I don't understand people's fixation on new game modes. I can't think of anything that would interest me on that front.
-
Literally just nerf iron will. Second most frustrating perk in the game after dead hard. It should have a very generous time limit like lucky break.
-
If you've never seen VHS you should. One of the best horror anthologies ever made. Southbound as well. Splinter is good.
You can safely skip all the Korean stuff folks are recommending. It's always incredibly hammy, intentionally dumb. Train to Busan is one of the worst films I've ever seen and I watch a great deal of very very low budget found footage horror.

FOMO. All battle passes lean on it.
I've only ever seen one obvious cheater in the game. Otherwise a couple subtle ones, maybe more I didn't catch
