  • I suspect he'll have some sort of passive that, when it's filled up makes him take off his glasses and his kitty cat eyes glow. Dunno. Then he gets a better dash or something.

Boring dude. I dunno what they're gonna do with him.

  • I'd put legion at the bottom of B tier but aside from this.... Looks alright. Maybe dredge in A tier.

  • I'm really sorry you didn't get boil over value once. Is that really work making a thread over? Is it really worth stripping decision making ability from the killer?

  • They shelled out for a real top tier algorithm on this one.

Well now we just let two people go instead of one lol.

    300 bp though 😔

  • Hardly anyone uses add-ons..... What? Punish everyone for the actions of one?

Blame MMR for this situation, not the players. In any case, it's not a problem.

  • I don't really run meta perks. Maybe iron will but that's just because it makes head on a little more feasible.

All my perk builds are centered around some dumb build I come up with. High Fiber legion. Possible Wizard Doctor. M1 Plague.

  • Dead hard is literally the only perk that bothers me. "Nuking" the meta just makes more useless perks which is the last thing we need.

  • I would love to see Dwight in just the laziest, most ill-fitting Superman suit of all time

Is it cause killer is stressful and feels like an uphill battle? I might be projecting a bit there, and certainly no judgement, but I am now honestly curious why you don't?

It's always stressful and I get tired of dealing with the rude behavior of survivors. Yes, you dropped the pallet. Proceed to tbag. Yes, you are vaulting many times near the hatch, you won the rng contest. Ok kids, time to get out of the gate. Yes, your flashlight macro is very very impressive.

It gets tiring after a while. I don't do anything that warrants that sort of behavior. Also in every game when three gens pop after like my second hook it's like yes.....I could probably win this if I play scummy. Do I? Even having to make that decision wears on a man.

Solo queue? Don't care. Killer hits me in hook? Dope, that just means I had a good chase. Nobody comes to rescue me? That's alright, onto the next game. I literally don't understand how anyone gets upset when they play survivor. It is so so easy and so stress free. Hold m1. Goof around.

  • I always have fun playing survivor, solo or with friends. If the queue times weren't 5 minutes a pop I'd never play killer.

It's the other way around, these slowdown builds do not work. It's the bamboozle and NOED build which actually produces the best results. I've played other killers and none of them struggle as much as Plague does, it takes too long to infect everyone and to get them to a state when you can actually instadown them. She's a slow killer with an unreliable gimmick which misses its target half of the time.

You have NO idea what I have to endure in the aftergame-chat, don't even try to judge me on my conduct. I'm not the aggressor here.

Double emetic. No way out. BBQ. Pop. Thant. Puke on people and leave. Don't commit to bad chases. Try it for a few games.

Believe me, I get it. I play primarily killer and I've been told to harm myself and been insulted in incredibly vile ways in this game more than any other. You do not have to engage these people. You should not. It doesn't do anything but increase the amount is vitriol in the world.

So Flashlights are free wiggles too?

Keep in mind, they wouldn't get I frames with this version. You would need to sneak up on the killer as theyre carrying some one, if you fail to do so, the killer is put into a really good position

You cannot be serious with this disingenuous framing. As a killer I can do stuff about a flashlight. I can face a wall, I can execute a 180. There's agency there. This proposed dead hard only requires someone be in the vicinity with iron will equipped. Or if it's not an exhaustion perks anymore anywhere relatively near with sprint burst. The level of execution required is magnitudes less than a flashlight save. It's closer to picking up under a pallet four times a match.

  • @Canas said:

This isn't playable, it's just loss after loss no matter which strategy I try. Gens get done so fast, I can't even get more than a hook before they finish their objective. Matchmaking doesn't even bother to adapt, it's quite literally nonexistent. How the hell am I supposed to enjoy playing this killer if she constantly gets bullied?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SXTPDA3R4QU5/toxic-bullysquad.png

This build has no gen regression. You will not win games without gen regression. Mind breaker on it's own is a worthless perk. In your other post you've gone back to your awful bamboozle build.

It seems like you don't want to learn and change your play style. Which is fine. But don't complain when you do the same bad thing and get the same bad results. Honestly after seeing how you conduct yourself in the end game chat I regret giving you any advice.

nah. They need Sheva because she is a greatly designed character.

but she was only playable for one game and didn’t really reappear in the series, and she doesn’t have any direct relation to Wesker as far as I remember.

though hopefully she (and Carlos) will find their way into the fog as legendary characters!

She's cool and I like her, for sure. I'm just saying why behavior will pick her. I sincerely doubt most of their staff has even played re5.

Except when he is on the 4th hit and insta downs you, regardless of health state.

I think if they just removed this unnecessary addition, survivors wouldn't mind it as much. Not a big deal on huge maps but small maps it happens often.

I find Legion OK when you compare to Nurse/Blight but his playstyle is really boring. Deep wounds is non-gameplay.

Yeah but it doesn't *have* to happen if you play with it in mind. Run away from your teammates. Count down the frenzy timer. Literally just think a little tiny bit.

  • @Tiufal said:

Legion on release was entirely broken. Legion now is just an even more annoying mending simulator.

Occasionally I play legion and run the mending add-on and just run around and stab people to spite people like you. No downs. No hooks. Just mending.

Wouldn’t Jake Muller also make sense (especially with Wesker in mind), as well as Sherry Birkin.

They need Sheva for diversity reasons.

  • Wesker. Sheva. Wesker will have some sort of anime dash.

He doesn't really have any monstrous aspects for 95% of his presence in the games so I'm pretty sure he won't have zombies or anything. That's not what he's associated with. He's just a generic superhuman with kitty cat eyes.

  • It's funny to see it confirmed so overwhelmingly. Pretty sure some people would take it in all four perk slots if they could.

  • I like talking to folks in the end game chat. Sometimes people are rude but that's ok. I had an Adam last night with truly next level sprint burst holds and we had a good chat about it. Moments like that are really nice and worth the negative ones.

  • @Shroompy said:

Thing is, if you make the perk to dodge a hit it becomes mostly useless against skilled players using an M1 killer, so sure you could use it to dodge powers but then that makes the perk become situational

I much prefer a version some one suggested (forgot who) which completely reworks the perk. Turning it into a perk thats a one time use that can save teammates

While you're injured you can dash forward towards the killer while they're carrying some one to knock them off their shoulder, this makes the perk a high risk high reward. If you mess it up you put the killer into a really good situation, if you succeed you put you and your team into a really good situation

This isn't high risk. It's just a free wiggle for your teammate.

You wouldn't be able to bless a hex totem directly. However, you can bless a dormant totem. To bless a totem you'd first have to do a cleansing action on a hex totem, which would work only if the hex has multiple charges. You would also be able to tell if a hex has multiple lives based on the number of skulls that are intact on the totem, giving you an immediate visual to see if that hex is actually one you can bless. For example, Hex: Ruin, being immensely powerful and consistent, would still only have one charge. The moment it's cleansed it's gone(unless you use it with undying of course). And you would see that it has only one skull and know that blessing that totem isn't an option.

This is just an idea though & not all the details for it are thought out exactly. This is to prevent immediate and permanent hex to boon/dull actions. And if a hex totem loses all it's charges the totem is destroyed. There might end up being a boon perk available as a possibility in the future with these new totem mechanics that would allow you to really quickly turn a dormant totem into a blessed one or to revive a certain number of broken totems as temporary boons. After all, a killer would be unlikely to go towards an already broken totem in most situations.

However, with this mechanic it would also be something you might not want to do, since not only will getting rid of the hex alert the killer to your location, it'd also give them a quick immediate snuff as they would have probably come towards that totem to catch you after hearing the notificiation. The idea is that blessing a totem is best when the killer doesn't directly know where you are when you bless it. Which is pretty clearly already intended to be the case seeing as the killer can actively snuff boons and grab survivors off them.

Also, snuffing a boon no matter when removes the boon like it does normally, but also removes a charge. It's sorta like hooking a survivor multiple times. The last snuff of a specific blessed totem destroys the totem, but doesn't remove the boon perk.

Okay. Thank you for clarifying! I think it's a unique idea that I've not seen before. I'm not sure how consistently anyone could determine what boon is strong or weak in order to figure out how many charges it saps from a particular totem. Exponential is on the weaker side, but shines on two floor maps for example. But that's a rather small detail. It's a very clever way to make boons a more limited resource, it's thematic and makes hexes a more enduring presence than they currently are. I like it!

  • I understand the hex part of the equation, but not the boon. You have to snuff the totem 2-3 times to get rid of the boon? What happens if you bless a hex totem?

I've been playing her since 3 years (from the moment she was released) and you're telling me I'm missing something about her? What exactly is there I'm doing wrong? She exists to spread her infection to enable instadowns either by committing via relentless puking or by making survivors get sick over time. Her struggle begins when it comes to finally securing the down, at that point she's simply a m1 killer without a power.

You're just running generic "good killer" perks on her without leaning into what makes her unique. This is boring. Don't be boring. Incentivize survivors to cleanse. Run thanat. Survivors hate hate hate seeing that debuff and will behave irrationally in order to make it go away.

Plague is just an m1 killer without a power when not in corrupt? Wrong. She makes survivors instadown for nearly the entire game with very little interaction from her. No other killer can do this.

I'll give you a couple builds I run on her:

No way out/Pop/Thanat/BBQ. Survivors tend to cleanse in the end game, then hit the gates. I run double emetic with this build to mitigate the crappy hit detection. No way out makes an easy snowball during this time. I have won 14+ games in a row with this build before I got sick of it. I am a very mediocre killer and I'll tell you freely that I was beating survivors that are way better at the game than me with this.

Then for funsies, another build that leans into her easy instadown nature: m1 plague. Enduring/spirit fury/franklins/Brutal. I run the yellow seal and the purple toe on this. The offering that removes two fountains is also viable. You emphasize infecting gens and are still a threat to survivors with your normal puke. If you wanted to win and have less fun you could swap out franklins for Pop or something, but I play this build to goof around. For all that, it's surprisingly effective. I win way more games as m1 only plague than you'd think.

In any case: just rethink how you play and enjoy plague. Mess around. Be creative. She's a really versatile killer and playing her like you do is rather dull.

  • You are playing her wrong. The hit validation is very annoying though.

  • It takes agency away from the survivor and killer at the end of the game, forcing both to watch a canned animation for..... What reason?

It's pointless at best and harmful to a lot of fun stuff that can happen in the end game at worst.

  • I just wish they'd nerf the perks you see in every game a little bit and buff/rework all of the obtuse or useless ones to bring them in line with the newly-nerfed meta ones. The good perks don't need to be made equally useless.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/324037/i-think-the-new-mori-change-is-really-bad-for-the-game-heres-why

One thing to keep in mind tho, for every killer that carried a survivor to the hatch, there has been 5 killers waiting nearly 4 full minutes for the bleed out timer to reach the final 0.1% only to pick up a survivor, carry them to the hatch, hook them nearby and close the hatch.

This is why we can't have nice things.

....... This almost never happens. What are you on?

  • @StarLost said:

    My thoughts:

    • Queue incentives is a fantastic addition that is flying under the radar at present.
    • Rebalancing the meta is going to be...interesting, but I'm worried that the nerfs to regression perks are going to shift things a bit too hard in one direction.
    • Losing the BP bonus off BBQ is going to hurt.
    • Tokyo Ghoul chapter when?

Queue incentives are a bad bandaid for an essentially hostile killer experience.

  • I don't understand how unlocking perks with prestige works.

So I have to get trapper to level 50 three times in order to have the good versions of his perks? I can't get the max level of a perk unless I buy it three times on the shrine? Is that 6000 shards then? I just don't understand how this is less grindy than before.

  • The change is that when you down the last survivor you have to watch an animation now? That doesn't really seem interesting to me, sorry. Do you miss out on the blood points from the hook as well?

  • Really negative right off the rip, huh?

  • Why does the larger survivor, the stronger being, not simply eat the weaker ones?

To be fair, while I'm sure Mandy has leeway in how she goes about communicating with the community, if her bosses are telling her to do something, like gaslight about a perk description, she really doesn't have a choice.

If my boss told me to go push a lie to a bunch of people I would simply refuse? Your boss isn't your God and master. I get that it's just a perk in a video game but integrity is integrity.

Mandy was on here trying to gaslight the shadow dance description as a bug. I think she's a decent PR person but that was super scummy. You dont write a description and program an attendant function into the game as a bug.

I don’t care about dead hard getting nerfed. You can need it and make it useless. The simplest nerf you can give dead hard is to make you incapacitated so that you can’t drop a pallet or vault a window. Would it make the game better? Absolutely and I’m for that. But can they please start buffing all the other perks. Why does ace in the whole give you one addon? That’s stupid

It also lets you keep your addons!
