Then your original comment means nothing and adds nothing to the conversation. Should I just randomly go into discussions and talk about what words sound like to me?
Tunneling? Tunneling sounds like someone just digging a hole to traverse the map! What? I'm not referring to what tunneling means at all. I just thought I should mention what I thought tunneling sounds like!
My original comment was a direct response toward OP... not you
At no point was anything I said meant for you.
K, I’m going to go back to enjoying my life now before you rudely impeded on it.
Take care, byee

You really don't understand what that term even means.
I wasn’t really even referring to anything regarding the actual term and what it means. Maybe don’t go around telling people what it is they do and don’t understand. Thanks.

That whole “Power Role” mentality sounds like a toxic ego trip. Hope that’s not actually the DBD norm amongst killers.

Every hit doesnt touch me. Every killer has bad internet or vpns. Always getting hit through windows, pallets. Deadzones, LT walls. No filler pallets, no jungle gyms. Pretty much forced to run DS because tunneling us so common. Camping he hooks from the start of the game.
PH still boring as hell to verse, he can still cancel, has a spammable range. Bad event where I have to hold rb for 80 seconds to get bonus bloodpoints. The event offerings are hard to find and bad bp economy for survivors makes getting through these blood webs incredibly hard.
Only reason I even have offerings is because I have the og 2018 pustula petals. I tried playing a few games im already falling asleep. Dbd is simply a bad game. With devs driven by greed. They gave us this joke of an event.
I should also mention all these problems I mentioned are met with the usually survivors op you have swf on coms.
Still say it’s those HitBoxes.
Killers get like 2+ feet of space inbetween their weapon and the survivor to score the hit. Then they accept the hit like they actually earned it by swinging through empty air. It looks completely unrealistic.
I can’t take hitting a survivor seriously when I’m not even slicing into them. I’m excited for when this game gets precise and every hit is earned. That feels more rewarding, imo.
If games like Siege can have realism to the precision of requiring the hit to strike the target’s body for scoring the attack, then there’s no reason why DBD can’t be the same.
It’s like playing a cartoon.

The penalty for DCing is sth like this:
As per offenses...
- 5 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 60 minutes
- etc etc.
After 24 hours of no DCs the timer is rolled back to Zero.

You’re math is correct.
Not sure what exactly is causing your issue, but I will give you two known scenarios:
- If you leave on the offering screen too late, a pip sometimes is taken.
- Also, when a player DC’s they lose 1 pip as punishment. What most players don’t realize is that after you close out of the game and reboot again, you will lose another pip.
Example: A player is at Rank 1, then they DC. This brings them back to Rank 2 and 4/5 pips. They play another match and pip back up to Rank 1 again. Then they close out of DBD entirely and play a different game. When they load DBD again they will be at Rank 2 and 4/5 pips again. It’s like an extra de-pip penalty for the DC.
I know of this happening to several players (some intentionally DC’d and other’s unfortunately were disconnected no fault of their own) and they all experienced the drop in pips as described above.
Is it an internal intentional mechanism to counter the DC by way of a negpip penalty aside from the normal, instantaneous de-pip players receive? idk
I don’t know if the devs are aware, but there hasn’t been enough reporting of this glitch(?) for them to know to investigate it if it isn’t in fact something they intentionally implemented.
Edit: that’s at least some insight. Again, not sure what the exact cause of your mysteriously dropping a pip would be.

To add to this, BoxGhost puts up 10 codes at a time, on the hour, every hour, so even though she averages about 500 viewers that's still 1/5 of her viewers who get codes (not to mention those who already have them), and she leaves the final 2-4 characters hidden for like, 2-3 minutes. It's pretty nice of her, and that's how I finally got my one.
Completely agree! She is being extremely smart and thoughtful of her console audience. Hope they’re all giving her some good love in return for her kindness 🥰
Edit: Also bravo on securing your Dwight crow 🥳

Vinc3ntvega does 5 codes at a time every hour and then at the end of his stream does a whole bunch, like 15 I think.
Haven’t heard of any others doing that.
Possibly they are “cashing in” on their increased attention they’re all getting by milking the codes out one at a time.
Console players cannot beat the PCers keyboard quickness.
10-15, even 20 partial codes (giving console players the opportunity to enter the code of their choice) simultaneously... then the last 2 of every code’s characters simultaneously for each would be their best chance to get one.
Hope more whisperers pick up on what Vinc3ntvega is doing and up that a few notches. Most players have their own fav streamers to watch regularly, are jus there solely for the codes anyway, and have no desire to return to or support the whispers streams after the event concludes.
-
Wish devs would introduce 1 new “Blighty” Halloweenish, Spooky kinda map EVERY year for this event. Then make those offerings Ultra Rare on the Bloodweb appearing as infrequently as possible, while still providing some opportunities for players to attain them. Then, each year, make those maps appear more frequently.
We’d all have 3 new Eternal Blight maps to play on now, and counting! 🎃👻
...I love maps 🥳
-
They have all been given a high number of codes.
The fog whisperers would benefit console players greatly by instead of typing out ONE single, solitary code (minus the last 2 characters), they pre-type out 10 or 20 codes then enter them all onto the screen simultaneously... then enter the last 2 characters for each simultaneously.
Everyone would be aiming for whichever code they prefer. The possibility of PC players going for the same codes as other PC players would then be greater, providing more opportunity for console gamers to get their Dwight Crow.
Seems like a better option to try an give more console players success.
...at least worth the try.
One code at a time isn’t primarily benefiting any other than the PC players.

Haven’t seen Spirit for a week now
...kinda miss her😔
-
Ironically coincidental Coldwind offerings every match and you’ll never play DBD again
-
“do something cool like having Sabotage cut down a player on a hook, the hook could still be stuck inside of their body thus causing the bleeding status effect and it'll take another player to remove it”
This hook sabo save idea is fantastic!
...and it makes perfect sense. They can sabo vacant hooks, shouldn’t be anything barring survivors from taking down those which are occupied. Incorporate an anti-tunnel mechanism in there somehow, and it’s golden.
-
Whenever I’m repairing a gen and a skillcheck appears just as teammate walks up to help repair, the lag stutters the bar, freezing it for an instant, rendering it unhittable, forcing the gen to blow. Happens almost everytime just upon the approach of another survivor. idek
Another example of the lag issues 😔
-
The entity gets enough pay from a killer’s full day of hard work with minimal compensation to them for all their extensive efforts, so I say
...Let em run free! 🥳
Watch and share Dead By Daylight GIFs on Gfycat -
Oni, Spirit, Trapper, Pig and PH are the only Killers who would benefit from that action, unless Billy and Bubba are rendered capable of sawing thru lockers (but that may be a bit much), since all the others either have small blades that wouldn’t reach the survivors inside, or club esque weaponry that cannot “stab” at all.
-
I usually offer a White Ward (just in case) when taking a Brand New Part/ Wire Spool with the Commodious ToolBox since I wait til the last (or second to last) gen to use them.
I’ve seen so many Solo matches (where players either don’t know or aren’t paying attention) saved from ending in a 3 gen this way.
Feels rewarding.

Autodidact: omgz just heal me already!
BBq: waay too easy when used by experienced players

Yeah, just faced one.
Think he was going for the movie vibe, since he stalked and face camped everyone on hook.
I know the player.
Their profile shows they were listening to the Halloween soundtrack 🎃🔪
-
Yeah, not sure why it wasn’t fixed in the last update, seeing as how it’s been occurring in-game for over 2 months now.
I always make it an objective to hit at least 1 Great Skillcheck everytime I’m using a medkit, just to be certain that 5% progression bonus guarantees to complete the full heal.

The only actually honest fogwhisperer i've seen has been tru3ta1ent, it feels like he actually says whats on his mind without thinking "how can i lick the devs' asses this time", most fogwhisperers i've seen are just awfuly biased towards the devs and not the community, take for example paulie and king on twitter talking about how we are all ungreatful and ######### that we event got halloween skins.... also calling the ppl that want to have an event to earn cosmetics morons should not be supported by bhvr but i guess it is (not gonna specify who says that a lot)
Since earlier this year, I don’t watch whisperer streams anymore, or any streaming much for that matter... here and there.
I feel it’s silly forking over time and $$$ daily to people who reply, “So and so, thank you for the $20... Person over there, thanks for the 10,000 bits... subathon day, thanks for the 5,000 new paying subscribers!”
It’s insane.
People are putting food in their mouths, clothes on their backs and paying their bills.
I wouldn’t even be able to sit there in my gaming chair accepting people’s money to be a personality while they watch me play a video game for 6 hours everyday.
It’s like paying people to hang out with them.
Just weird, imo. That’s jus me.
Paulie was always my fav whisperer. He really is a beautiful soul, a classy gentleman, and he keeps it family friendly. I truly believe he completely loves DBD and is genuine about how he feels so compassionately with enjoying almost every aspect of the game. I understand how people watching Paulie feel he’s a dev snob, since he is usually pretty positive with regards to changes, but I disagree. Everything he says is from a honest, DBD loving heart.
Tru3 was the first whisperer I ever watched. He’s just living his life, earning a ridiculously good living from streaming across multiple platforms. He knows BE is paying attention, yet he doesn’t mince his words. How he really feels is exactly what everyone hears. I appreciate his honesty immensely, as well. It’s interesting, I always envisioned him as the rebel outsider of the fog whisperers. It’s like BE gave him that honour but he really doesn’t “need” it or regard it as such. Tru3 can continue what he’s doing without feeling he needs to agree with anyone, and he’ll still have his base backing him through the journey. Not sure if he ever went to any DBD live whisperer meet ups or not, tho he just seems he’d be the one content with not participating in all that “red carpet” esque gatherings, idk.
-
Aw, it’s really not fair at all.
Wish I could get the charms an jus send em to ya😔
The devs are from all different areas of the world, so I’m sure they understand, jus surprised they didn’t take those with your situation into consideration beforehand when brainstorming this charm giveaway to better implement a method for every one to have a equal chance to get the reward.
-
Wow, there are many more fog whisperers than I thought

We're "rebuilding it from the ground up" meaning its implementation. As a perk requiring sharp timing, its network implementation needs to be revisited. The intention was not to say we're changing it function entirely. Any changes to its function will be for design reasons, not due to implementation details.
Sharper timing on pallet dropping would be something you all may agree is a necessary design investment and hopefully consider looking into eventually, as well.

What would they do to alter DH?
Tokens? Protection hits for DH to take effect?
Adjust the exhaustion timer?

If you listen to what they said, it's not about changing it to be functionally different. It's about adjusting the code for it to work better with the current network setup. I doubt they are going to change it, just make it more consistent.

you loose nothing, you just don't have the game in your pc or console, when you reinstall you get all your progress back since it's on behavior server
Oh, yeah that makes sense

Yup. I play on steam, so all my progress and purchases are saved on my account. Nothing is lost. As in for console I can't give a definitive answer, but I can't imagine it being different than pc.. Unless there's a bug.
Yeah, I’m on PS4 and narrowly avoided frustratedly deleting DBD twice now.
Wasn’t sure what would happen, still hanging in there
-
@Uncharted said:
The "event" was the last straw for me. I uninstalled yesterday and I'm certainly not planning on coming back soon.
I still have hope for DBD, hence why I still keep up with what's happening, but until the devs come with much needed balancing and changes (looking at OoO which is in a fine spot according to the devs), I won't bother investing time and money into what this game has become.
Guessing that’s PC
If you reinstall, will all of the progression and purchases you had at the time of uninstalling be reinstated, or is that all lost?
...and is the result of deleting/ restoring DBD app on console the same with all being lost or completely restored?
-
Still haven’t gotten it in any of my Bloodwebs yet😔

Don’t mind them really, but not with that hairstyle
Edgy Rough Cut hair with the Disco Ball tank top & Jacket is my main fashion for Meggers and those lenses complete the look.

the og
2nd
3rd
4th
5th
jason lives
7th
jason goes to manhattan
jason goes to hell
jason x
and the reboot
By appearances Freddy vs Jason still counts

Yeah, same, totally
Also, by appearances, F13 & Halloween both have 12 (including Kills & Ends), unless you count Michael’s cameo appearance on the old TV set in SotW.
Kinda like the whole “see who ends up with more films” friendly competition between the two, personally
EDIT: Hope we get to see them face off against each other some day... maybe even team up for the slash
