I am not familiar with Dress to Impress, so forgive me if I misunderstand the question and I only have limited expertise.
In terms of frames per second lag can be reduced by optimisation. This is achieved in various ways but it comes down to putting the least amount of necessary steps into a calculation or making it less complex. If we dive deep, everything that happens on a screen is determined by math. Similar to our brains, the processing unit can handle shorter algorithms much easier than longer ones. For example you could add a line of code that says that something should happen X amount of times instead of writing the algorithm X amount of times (this is just the most simple example I could come up with, not something that should be an issue). It is much easier to calculate 6×2 than 2+2+2+2+2+2, even though they are basically the same.
This can also be used to make animations more easily processable. If the Dress to Impress devs are still new, it is likely they still have some screws to tighten in that regard.
For server delays, I assume that DBD Mobile has better and more servers around the world than Dress to Impress. That means players have a higher chance to be physically close to the servers. Any information in the game would need to go from your device to the servers (and back, although that works a bit different), which causes some delay that can vary depending on the speed of your internet and the distance to the servers. DBD Mobile is likely to have servers with a higher capacity as well, which means that a higher amount of information can be managed simultaneously.
Excellent info, exactly what I was looking for n kinda what I imagined was the reasoning. Figures it would be you with a response so calculated, lol. Haven’t been on here in almost a year (or played DBD in about as long.. cozy hiatus:) and not sure if you were into him as much as GeneralV, LordGlint, or CountOfTheFog were, but it looks like you guys are finally getting your Freddy rework! Hope they make him as OP as he deserves to be, after all this time, but nowhere near as invincible as JVoorhees when they finally get around to adding him to the roster😆 …May be the only thing that ever gets me back into the fog🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for the reply🫶🏽

Spooky from Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion for Nurse
They’ll never do it, but I’d L🩷Ve it❣️☺️
-
The Entity has a pretty evil sense of humor
…tumbleweeds included
-
HARD AGREE!!!
since this got moved, for any Devs reading this, YES! Ashley Graham in DBD would be rewarding for all parties, even just as a Legendary.

Look, I just like facing Demo
Everything about him just makes me happy☺️

I don‘t want a buff I want just as many would say bad Onryo 1.0 she was a lot more fun and if she needed anything, it were the QOL changes and buffs from the reworks, but not the actual rework parts.
Also it‘s true, that survivors have full control about how good/much you can use your ability and Tv auras are too much it makes her chase a lot worse than it could be.
Yeah, Devs overthought her rework, and the end result is what it is.
I’d love OG Sadako back too

Then they complain that you slugged them. As bad if not worse of an offense.
If they’re intelligent and have common sense they’ll be thankful that they weren’t tunneled.
If they’re the last player in the match, then yeah there not many other plays for the Killer. Since there are other Survivors aside from the one being now, currently, chased, then the one on the ground would only have justifiable grief toward the teammates if they choose not pick downed Survivor up.
There’s a difference between being downed and being slugged, imo. Downed is having some timeframe for an opportunity to be picked up or pick one’s self up. Slugged means there’s no hope for getting up and Survivors are forced to crawl around the ground like a slug.
Yes, most people will inevitably complain about something, and realistically their complaints aren’t always justifiable.
-
Yeah, I’ll be playing during BP events and after a New Chapter releases… aside from that, DBD really isn’t worth the time invested.
Rifts are fun, but not worth the grind, imo, considering there often aren’t any cosmetics I wanna grind for.
Played less than 30 hours since August 2023
feels SO Good😌
-
and rightfully so!
That anyone thinks Sadako is “garbage tier” is a garbage take!
…We’ve heard many of those takes from certain players.
You’re absolutely correct, vs experienced SWF she’s no exception to the fact that as with most Killers, a experienced player will usually end up with 1-2K (master Killer players still 3-4K).
Also totally correct that “This is sadly how this game works. Against most public survivors though, she's very decent.”
Yes, Sadako still can still easily average a 2-3K in SoloQ, while those master players easily 4K stomp SoloQ w her.
“If played at her best, Sadako can be really strong with the focus on condemned.”
Yep, and some players just can’t learn or perfect Killer powers, and want everything as easy as it can be made for them. Unnecessary Buffing of Killers for this reason makes DBD extremely boring the expert and master Killer players. -
I wasn’t into Jack Baker AT ALL
He was waay irritating (imo) and never stfu.Thought he was completely annoying and thoroughly enjoyed silencing that relentless yapper of his.
Also, Jack’s final form was cool, but wouldn’t fit in DBD
Not really into seeing his scraggly man-form in the game.
Maybe better as a legendary
-
People see a beautiful, tall, sexy, voluptuous, elegantly dressed, dominatrixy vampire empress with cleavage exposed in all their sexified glory, and it appeals to them.
I personally thought her presence alone, not to mention her entire portion of RE8 with the gorgeous, glossy castle setting and sensational atmosphere was by far the most appealing part of the game.
I’ll absolutely enjoy Lady Dimitrescu in DBD!

I did it, but I think it was kind of bare bones… You got the right idea with that one question of bodyblocking with endurance but… as someone who plays both sides, I can't tell you how many times I've been accused of tunneling when I just happened to run across the same survivor 30 seconds later on a generator…. Is that really tunneling? Am I supposed to go "Oh, well you just got off hook, so I will let you finish that generator."
~Am I supposed to go "Oh, well you just got off hook, so I will let you finish that generator."~
Don’t need to let them continue repairing that gen, but if they’re still injured and it’s a brief to nonexistent chase, (if I even bother to hit them w/o going to find someone else first) I’ll at least just leave them slugged while continuing on to the next. Not a fan of Double Hooking, I just don’t play that way
but everyone has their own gameplay preferences
-
Pretty much, it’s really just The Entity.
Like, what a complete #########!
Survivors are humans, living life or just existing, and out of nowhere they’re pulled into a nonstop (for the most part) continual relentless hard tunneling, pain, torture and death simulation, where every once in a while they’ll feel some form of satisfaction in avoiding the suffering amidst some all powerful being’s sinister treachery.
Despite whatever they felt about their previous situations on earth; the atmosphere of the planet with sunrises/ sunsets, fresh air and freedom to go wherever they (most of them) wanted to or could go has been replaced by a monotonous, stale and dank-seeming, limited space in which to co-exist.
Like, what if they all get cabin fever and want to kill each other? Do they just die and then reappear by the campfire again? None of it seems long-term fun for them.
Actually, just really sucks for them, overall.
Entity is pretty rude and inconsiderate, idk
EDIT: changed typo ‘stimulation’ to the intended ‘simulation’
…also, I said the ‘b’ word (like bizznitch) but I didn’t think it was considered excessive that it would get censored. Thought that was interesting.

This is more so my thought process. I'd like to give them a break from what I assume is probably some frustrating games, let them try to take me on a chase and have a laugh or two.
Yeah, I think it provides a little bit of good balance for them. They’ll remember certain matches, both positive and negative; and I believe the stress of figuring the game out in the first 100+ hours is alleviated by matches w helpful (more friendly, I guess) Killers as opposed to the often overbearing feeling of constantly losing as a DBD beginner.
I’ve made some really good, nice online gaming friends this way, as well, fwiw.
-
DBD people are so amusing
I got hella salt-chunks of aggravation chatted at me for “Playing Abusively! and Toxically!” w only Scratched Mirror, BF’s Memo, Franklins and Spies.
They took Gideon and just unfortunately got lobbied w the scenario that didn’t really suit them🤷🏼♀️
What’s hilarious is the thing that really pissed them off, which they were venting about the most, was that I Demised all their items so they couldn’t use them😄
Like what the heck!?😆
DBD players are silly
-
Aww Slushie💞 She’s such a Shweetums🫶🏽
She totally puts herself out there all vulnerable, and she’s 💯percent real n speaks the truth, telling it like it is.
Absolutely respect her☺️
Happy she doesn’t mince her words n feelings like other streamers.
Everyone deserves a break from DBD; it’s about having the strength to admit it’s necessarily valid for you personally, and the willpower n boldness to actually take that cozy break n chill from the game for awhile.
Such a comforting, mentally rewarding and mind opening experience once you finally do stop gaming Dead by Daylight for a few months😌
-
I like to let new Survivors experience the kind n gentle side of the Killer😌
Survivor players get enough harsh experiences from the greater majority of Killer players, especially lately considering the extreme Hard Tunnel and Camping Fever relentlessness that’s become the mainstream.
Some seasoned teams just insist on begging to be slugged…
tho, I play almost all my matches chill n meemy, and certainly never go out of my way to ruin Baby Survivor’s first impressions of DBD.
-
If you’re playing SWF, your best looper (always better to have 2 excellent loopers) needs to make sure to be the first one noticed and chased by the Killer. Everyone else bangs out separate gens so that 3 pop by the 1st hook. If Survivor 1’s still in chase, hit up the rest of the gens.
If Killer gives up and breaks chase early before the 1st set of 3 gens are finished, 2nd best looper needs to casually (but not too obvious) interact with the Killer to get a chase going. Then continue the gen process.
At this rate, the gens get finished efficiently enough to finish the match at the Killer’s one hook. They’ll be forced to camp that Survivor.
Open the gates.
If you really want to make a rescue play, then keep everyone healed while trading hooks and taking hits/ body blocking until you’re all out.
Otherwise, take the 3 person out as a win.
Killer’s who cannot secure the 1st down/ hook within under a minute will most likely DC or resort to camping/ tunneling that Survivor.
If you get into that match with the supreme, expert Killer who decimates even the best loopers… just feel honored to have had the privilege of being their fun for that match and on to the next. Maybz someone gets hatch.
-
If you main SoloQ like I do, be chased first and make it 3 gen worthwhile. The rest of the team will appreciate the effort, and if they’re smart, 2 hit the other gens while one goes for the save. If rescuing teammate is ignored and you get tunneled, make it last. That random Survivor with Reassurance is always helpful for the rest of the gens to get done.
More than likely the gens get done and it’s a 3 out with you being the hero. Everybody always appreciates you for that.
So many things come into play to make matches play out differently, but they’re often best to go down like this, especially when the Killer has 3 gens pop on them and they have a tendency to tunnel.
-
Of some course people won’t.
Many players will certainly still enjoy playing as and against Unknown and even maining Unknown in 1 month to a full year’s time from now.Yes, not all ppl.
fwiw, in 1 month to 1 year’s time there will be 1 to 4 new Killers released. Any of them will take some playing time away from Unknown, and possibly cause Unknown mains to main one of said new Killers; That’s inevitable.
Surely Unknown will be buffed in a years time, so of course players having difficulty vs that Killer will dislike vs them even more.
Nature of the beast
-
Interesting that not all identical surveys were distributed to players.
This question wasn’t on the survey I received, either.

Nea’s Techwear fit is great w the Blonde💁🏼♀️
n I absolutely had to get Zarina’s so I could have purple hair cosmetic for her💜 Love it❣️
also got Kate’s, but I didn’t really like Trickster’s Techwear design, just kinda meh imo, so I didn’t buy his even tho I do play him.David’s and Jonah’s are pretty fresh fits on them… even tho I don’t always play those two often, I may buy their Techwear anyway.

Hate when that happens.
For me, it’s attempting to drop the pallet as I’m running through, and the “Drop Pallet” command sneakily disappears or doesn’t appear soon enough n I end up looking silly.
The “Cleanse Totem” and “Drop Pallet” command ‘boxes’ or whatever they’re considered are super touchy and inconsistent.
-
if Ginormous Oni could crush the shack in one stomp
and then all the little Survivor elves could rebuild shack for extra BP’s, or bless shack early on with Boon magic so when Oni tries to kick down shack he stubs his toe and gets stunned.
There are are endless possibilities to making this game ultra weird
-
Not trying to battle you at all on your initial point, tho.
I do agree something could be done to prevent totems from spawning next to Gens or in the most silly obvious places. Really don’t feel Devs will be looking into any of that anytime soon, however, since they’ve only addressed totem locations once, I think, maybe twice, or just on the map reworks.

Well they can't run both regression and hex perks. So if they were having to find hex totems the killer isn't stacking regression. So I don't see this as an issue.
Well, I mean they can if they really wanna run 2 hex 2 Gen perks. Then it’s entirely plausible and valid a argument.
Realistically tho, regardless if Killer is running Hex perks in their build at all, it would most likely (majoritively speaking, as the current meta consists of) would be Gen slow perks in the Killer’s arsenal. So Survivors would be at a disadvantage if they had to spend extra precious time hunting down totems to Bless since the “new” RNG would be spawning totems in random harder to find locations.
Also, Killers don’t have to Curse their Hexes, they’re pre-cursed for them by the entity. So they aren’t having to locate harder to find totems unless there happens to be a Boon, although they’re at the bottom of the perk popularity list… Hexes, not so much.
besides the point, I know, but Snuffing out a boon is nearly instantaneous, as opposed to a Survivor’s Hex cleanse time, not to mention if ToTH’s in play… just saying, the timeframes of hinderance to each side greatly favors the Killer anyway, as Survivors are needing to waste precious time they really don’t have.
-
It’s true, with the current Gen regression meta, Survivors really don’t have extra time to go seek out totems to cleanse.
Also, factoring in Boons to the equation (Yes, some players still use them, and since they are still in game, we can’t just overlook their existence), it’s only fair that if totems were to spawn in less conspicuous locations to make Hexes not as easily locateable benefiting Killers, it wouldn’t really be fair to Survivors who then have to spend even extra time they don’t already have looking for totems that are harder to find just to Bless them; especially considering that Killers can hear boons chiming slightly easier than Survivors can hear Hexes crackling.
-
When playing Survivor it seems to constantly be blowing-up every Gen I’m working on, all match long, especially on Gideon;
So as aggravating as that is, it totally feels OP, although I don’t think Surge is overpowered, just really strong.

I have not really seen people talking about completely cutting new content. But I think going from 4 Chapters /year to 3 Chapters/year would be fine. This is still a lot of new content while it also gives more time to revisit existing content.
Let alone that usually the Winter Chapter is the most buggy one, most of the time it affected new content, last time it affected existing content. Cutting it down to 3 Chapters/year might prevent this.
I do agree w this, as downgrading to 3 chapters yearly would provide some room to focus on QOL and such.
However, is 1 chapter enough, and how much could really be covered or “fixed” in that 1 chapter-less timeframe, also would it really be worthwhile to BHVR losing out on the potential money they’d otherwise be receiving, is the real question?
Just don’t see BHVR cutting out 1 or any chapters anytime soon to focus on enhancing the game.
EDIT: Actually, tbh, Devs really don’t seem to feel that DBD is in a bad spot QOL/ bugginess-wise, or that it needs attention in those areas.
-
Yeah same😔
Didn’t really bother with any of the blood oriented event gameplay either, just played regular matches and thoroughly enjoyed leveling up characters.
These 400% or more BP booster events need to happen more frequently (like, every month or at least every 2 months). Doesn’t even need to be a ‘blood event’ or anything; that’s all fine if Devs make it a full event, but seriously, Just hook players up w the 400%+ BP boosters more often.

Imagining people playing DBD together at a table with headphones on in a live streamed competition gaming venue event with spectators present.
Would keyboards get smashed and fights break out?
or would we maybe at least get to witness angry players verbally flipping out and talking salty toxic trash to each other?
Actually watching something like that could be a wake up call to people who BM and toxicify post game chat after showing them how silly and immaturely they misbehave everytime they play DBD.
-
Yeah, feels like I’m the only one in the match w the Killer whenever I play as Jill.
Also, maybe it’s just coincidence, how I could go 10 lobbies as Mikaela or Nancy or whoever, really, and everyone’s fine, but as soon as I pick Jane someone leaves. It’s really bizarre😄
-
Unknown is B+
Realistically, the Tier lists aren’t accurate. They vary between skill levels. Watch the most accomplished players (who master any game, any genre) playing these Killers. The ceiling for DBD Killers isn’t reached by average players. When expert players invest thousands of hours into Killer, any new character is mastered within a couple of weeks to the extent of consistent 3/4K; especially with the buffs Devs have given to Killer, in order to cater to average and low skilled players.
It’s very good that the Devs have made great effort to help Killer players. The flipside to those benefits is that expert players (and those who enhance their skill levels) end up 3/4K’ing with ease.
The Unknown really is better than players realize.
The skillset of players determines how they’ll view a Killer’s worth.

The more low skilled killers a region has, the more hard tunnelers. Its pretty simmple lol
It probably is mostly lower skilled players, I agree with that.
I will say this, however, and it’s bound to be unbelievable to the stans out there, but it’s truth; I’ve watched many highly skilled Killer mains (yes, even the untouchable, purest angel of a streamer to so many, Otz) tunnel first Survivor out like it was the main objective in DBD… not just one match, but consecutively, like they were all teaching their chat a collegiate level course on the only way to play.
Anyone hard abuses the tunneling strat whenever they feel like it, and for some, it’s the means of tunneling has shifted so drastically to where the strategic times to tunnel has become all the time, every match, especially on the first Survivor directly out of the game as fast as possible to the 3v1.
EDIT: btw, not attacking Otz at all, I contrariwise, very much appreciate his content, and will say that he doesn’t hard tunnel often, or need to in order to secure a 4K. Just observed he and other very well-versed Killer players schooling their chat in hard tunneling tactics.

Yeah I think its because a lot of the casuals come out during peak play hours. While we don't have the tunnelling problem to the extent I experienced on NA, they definitely do come out during the same hours as you mentioned.
It was so frequent a couple years ago that it got to the point my friends and I were wondering if it was a certain age group getting off school that increased the tunneling around that time… tho I don’t believe that to be entirely true. Anyone at any age could be playing those hours after getting off work, or waking up on a different schedule, and it’s all coincidental.
Regardless, that more effort hasn’t been put into curbing the excess abuse of tunneling as a strat (knowing that there’s a proper way to utilize the tunnel, and the abuse of tunneling is a serious issue plaguing players who love DBD for years, now) it certainly validates questioning BHVR’s best interests.
-
Also, in NA Tunneling amount fluctuates between certain hours of the day/evening.
I experience immense Tunneling between 3PM and 11PM EST on the weekdays, then tapers off in the overnight hours.
Weekends it mostly seems like a all day event.
-
Always forget you play on Switch😄
I gotta get one, miss the Nintendo vibe n really wanna play that Princess Peach game☺️
-
Completely agree
Now, if we all know, and we’re just somewhat casual enjoyers of DBD, wouldn’t it be safe to acknowledge that the Devs who created this game probably (absolutely) have to know these things about which we converse here, daily.
So why aren’t changes made sooner (or at all) to everything we know to need changes… even the most trivial of things in this game that need adjustments.
I’m not even going to end that last sentence with a ‘?’
Edit: It’s just kinda weird. Maybe all developers just have special agendas that we as players aren’t supposed to concern ourselves with, idk.
but playing this game, we can only wonder
-
Wow, I always just simply associated it with the actual Tinker meaning: to make small changes to something, especially in an attempt to repair or improve it.
Billy was a Tinkerer of the gens, rigging them up with small changes or (improving them) in his favor to alert him of Survivor activity at a certain progression, unbeknownst to the Survivors.
