My bad then if the stats are not what i thought it was.

But still, these exists and are pretty close :

    =)

I’ve played Solo queue regularly for 2 years.

    Killers are dominating that arena.

While SWF probably provides more of a balancing out to the numbers of kills vs the number of escapes, it’s obvious the killer side has the higher numbers, regardless of the how high or the actual spread of the numbers.

There are however, variables that factor in to the legitimacy of the kills; eg. do DC’s count? Hook self-terminations imo absolutely count towards a kill if killers are awarded the points for it; although there could have been more play for an escape amongst the entire team (if there were others remaining in the trial at the time of the sacrifice) had they stayed to be rescued.

    Again, many variables to consider.

The numbers are much closer than that 43,861,640 gap, but killers are getting the higher end of the realistic final outcome.

...also, can we get a pink Spirt plz, maybe purple, green, and red Spirit skin tones also. Even Hag gets to be different colors, why not Spirit.

I thought you were about to insult my nurse skills and I was about to cry

Aw, I never saw her under your powers, but I believe you, and I’m sure you scorch the realms with her🔥😌

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Okay this is going to sound cliche as ######### but there are honestly two ways to get good as nurse.

Watch lots of gameplay. I mean LOTS. Eventually you start picking up blink distancing vs charge time, how long you can hold your chain blink, etc etc just by watching. This isn't how you properly learn her and get good as her but it can really give you a massive head start (I suggest Ardetha).

And the other? Just play her. Everything in her kit is about muscle memory, knowing where you can and can't blink from where. It's honestly just a case of practicing. That's it. That's how you get good as her.

It took me 2 and a half years of watching gameplay before I attempted to play as her. Finally I put like 60 hours a week into playing nothing but her, and after 2 or 3 weeks of learning I finally got to where I am today. I'd call myself above average.

Good luck man. She's the hardest killer in the game to learn and NONE of her skills are transferrable to other killers so it'll be a pain trying to learn someone else too but, good luck.

    👆🏽Yep... everything Karu said👆🏽

...except the above average part, I probs wouldn’t say I’m even that yet🙃

A friend of mine just got the game, started as a rank 20 killer obviously, EVERY match he went against purple and red ranks...

Now, about me, as red rank killer, almost EVERY match I go against 2 greens and 2 purple or red ranks

I don't feel any of both situations as fair...

Killer matches I get Green/Yellow/Purple ranks (I’m not a Red rank killer rn)

Survivor matches are excruciatingly worse with a Red rank (often 1-2) killer against my Red rank survivor and a combination of Purple/Green/Yellow ranks with noticeably lesser hours and possibly some inexperience.

Probably in 90% of these survivor matches it’s tough to gain any ground for a pip or escape, or even have a enjoyably fun match under these circumstances.

  • Met some truly amazing, fun, kind people since I started playing DBD

  • a new map... many new maps

so I don’t keep getting sent to variations AutoHaven and MacMillan 70 out of 100 matches😔

  • Jane

I have never, NOT EVER, in 2000+ hours played with a Jane that wasn’t selfish and anti-team friendly.

It’s like a curse or sth.

When those players play as other survivor characters they quite possibly play all-in to support the team.

I need to play with some Pro Jane Mains to debunk this malediction that hovers over the aura of Miss Romero.

...also, her grunts and moans are loud, unsavory and mildly obnoxious, imo, regardless of how anyone plays her.

  • Not sure of the exact details to what you’ve been experiencing.

A clip to demonstrate your situation would be helpful for others in the discussion.

I will say that from the time a killer picks up a survivor there is the possibility to wiggle free from the killer. As soon as the killer presses the command to begin the hooking action, the wiggle is immediately canceled. Even if you are right in front of the hook at maxed out wiggle bar simultaneously as the killer is pressing that command, the hooking action takes precedence.

    I’ve experienced this numerous times.

    It’s unfortunate.

the issue was the stats didn't add up and were verified by Peanits to being the archives challenges and only counting while you have an applicable challenge.

I mean look at the generators completed stat which implies less then ~.16 of a single generator is done every game.

Its not hard to notice when numbers don't add up.

Yeah, I see that, absolutely true...

I also believe that while the ratio of Sacrifices to Escapes would be much closer to one another, there would still be higher numbers for the former, in Killers sacrificing the survivors.

  • I play killer (not main, somewhat neutral) and I’ve experienced similar statistics, so I agree there is validity to this on various levels. Same on the survivor side, ESPECIALLY Solo queue.

Love all the killer mains instantaneously flocking to debunk anything that makes them look like the strong players that they are.

If these statistics were proven accurate they still would find necessity in talking them out of existence altogether. idek why

Where are any survivor mains, or just survivor players in general in these forums?

    ...or any forums?

do actual forums with majority of survivor players even exist anywhere?

I’d like to know the statistics on that, tbh

Might as well make a discussion for not serious perk ideas... I'm too tired to think of good names. Make more dumb perks.

True killer: disrupts all aura reading abilities against a survivor. The survivor now has a killer's red glow.

Prone: unlocks the ability for a survivor to go prone. I'm sure there's a use for this somewhere.

Survival of the fastest: if a killer and another survivor is within 16m of you then the killer and all other survivors within 16m of you will be slowed by 3%. Does not apply if you're on a hook or downed. If multiple survivors have this perk then only the survivors are slowed.

Jumpscare: a survivor now has the ability to jumpscare the killer. It's done by going behind the killer and pressing m1. A new animation happens where the survivor will shove their face in front of the killer's stunning the killer for 10 seconds. From the killer's pov they'll see the survivor's face suddenly cover their screen and then get stunned for 10 seconds.

Whose carrying who: a downed survivor now has the option to grab onto the killer. This will slow the killer down by 50% and the killer must hook the survivor to get rid of them. However, the survivor cannot let go of the killer and can't wiggle free.

Team Carry: a survivor can now carry a downed survivor on their back with a 15% malus to movement speed and inability to interact with other things like gens, lockers, pallets, totems, etc.

Fake Mori: allows a killer to fake a Mori once per a survivor (max of 4 times) for extra blood points.

And stay out: let's a killer kick a Survivor that they're carrying 5m. Special animation with hatch.

Smol stealth: let's a killer shrink to 1/4 of their size.

Disguised killer: select a different killer when picking this perk. the survivors will see that killer and the accompanying hook decorations but you'll actually be a different killer. No clue how the animations and sounds would work.

Anytime you use the word “Idea” in the title of your post, it gets moved to the “Feedback and Suggestions” area.

I have seen posts like yours that haven’t been moved; some have actually gotten pinned by mods in General Discussions section. Not sure what all goes into that process.

More forumees frequent the Discussions area, so you may not get the best response waay over in this desolate realm.

Pretty good ideas, for what you deem as “dumb”... got a kick out of them.

    Nice effort!

  • Short Circut: All gens are electrically overcharged at the start of the trial. Upon attempting to repair generators the first time, survivors will receive a electric shock causing them to scream out in agony.

Phantom Escape: After exit gates are powered, they appear to the killer in alternate locations than they actually spawned both in aura and reality. Only survivors can see the invisible exits.

Window Ninja: Survivors press the active ability button near a 2 story window to fast vault reverse into a hang-on juke, protecting them from being hit, preventing them from being grabbed. Press the active ability button again to climb back up, or wiggle to drop.

Object of Misdirection: Survivors using OoM do not see the killer’s aura, instead project the killer’s aura to all other survivors as the killer sees only their aura.

Steel Death Trap: All lockers during the trial are actual iron maidens. Any survivor entering a locker will be inflicted with the deep wound status effect as they scream out in agony.

Pallet Jockey: Press the active ability button near pallets to drop them. Press the active ability button again within 5 meters of a highlighted pallet causing the pallet to instantaneously break. Any survivor vaulting a pallet automatically causes the pallet to break.

Scout’s Honour: Press the active ability button near highlighted areas to rig a trip wire booby trap to stun the killer for 1/2/3 seconds.

Tipsy: Blowing magic powder directly into onto the killer causes them to hallucinate increasingly throughout the trial, seeing and hearing random images and sounds of survivors and their objectives.

Spaceman: Moonwalk while carrying survivors to earn 100/200/300% extra Bloodpoints. Moonwalk a carried survivor and successfully complete a hooking for bonus BPs.

Minions: Press the active ability button to unleash a horde of miniature versions of yourself climbing upon and attacking survivors within 10 meters and slowing their movement speed. Survivors not wiggling free in time will be inflected by the deep wound status effect. Cool down of 80/70/60 sec.

Siege has single player, terrorist hunt and situations.

Yeah, although it ends abruptly leaving me wanting 50 or more solo missions to complete all in the comfort of my own pace and style of play.

  • DBD needs a in-depth story mode similar to Until Dawn and Mortal Kombat’s story mode feature, only like a ongoing TV miniseries that gamers can binge play through each character’s arc.

Would take years to create effectively, but would be SO worth it for everyone.

  • It’s doable, probably won’t ever become a feature though.

Those bots would have to be pretty darn effective against an experienced killer or it could end up becoming a bust that forces disappointed players back into human lobbys.

Always wished Siege had single player.

I regretted it the second I said it, as I know its a very hateful word. I just didnt appreciate how mean he was being to the other survivors, and I stooped to his level unfortunately. Thank you for the reply.

Yeah, you probably won’t receive a ban.

Just try and be positive next time and move on.l to the next match.

  • That word’s definition when used as a verb:

“to delay or hold back in terms of progress, development or accomplishment”

Though, when used as a noun as you have towards that player, it means:

“a person who has a mental disability (often used as a general term of abuse)”

It can be taken offensively by people, and is best not ever used as a derogatory slur against anyone.

You have expressed remorse, that is good.

It’s best to be positive and refrain from using coarse language or negative words toward others. This way you can always know that you are avoiding even the circumstance of being banned or being caught up in any offenses coming from your side.

What you may not consider offensive or abusive could make others feel even worse.

You will come across people who are upset and possibly behaving unreasonably or erratically. Just try and be positive with them.

Not sure if it’s bannable, but at least now you know not to even cross that line next time.

  • If you have them, use them.

I almost always run SB, so it catches me off guard when I get hit with those, as most Huntress players I face aren’t bringing them into matches.

Very effective and makes the chase much more interesting.

What now follows isn`t important to anybody except me. Only read if you want to.

I thought about a little issue recently, wich I have since a long time ago:

Dead by Daylight is a Horrorgame. At least that is, what the store want to tell us, and its true. Well... a bit. You see, if you want to have horror in a game like DbD, it depends 50% on your feeling ingame. If you want to get scared, act like your life depends on it. I like the Horror feeling i DbD (if it`s there), because it can be so iconic! Myers, Freddy, Demogoron, it`s awsome sometimes. But if your good in maths, you should have noticed, that the other 50% feeling aren`t your work. And there it splits again. Behavior is doing its best to create a completle scary atmosphere in the matches. The new graphics show theire courage and work (you have to decide for yourself, if it is a succesor not. I think, it is.), so its not theire fault if the Horror feeling fails. The biggest issue that i have with the horror feeling comes from other players.

Its start at the start. You awake at a strange place, maybe a abounded hospital, and you dont know what is going on. You search for clues and you notice, THEIR IS NO WAY OUT AND A KILLER IS CHASING YOU! But after getting the Genarators done, you can finaly escape. Thats a match from the story point of view. In reality: You start at a game and everybody is running around like no time to lose open the gates and get theire butts into wiggling position like make a twerk party. Thats isn`t really a propper behavior in a horror game. If you add for yourself a bit of story at the beggining and erase the entity bit (sorry Devs, but i couldnt care less about the entity storyline. The personal history of the characters are great, but everything around it... mähh) then you could say that they are a camping group, going were they shoudn`t go, get into trouble, have to escape. Then the Startbehavior gets a bit less annoying. But there is still some trouble in the middle of a match. Like teabagging right infront of each other like some grasshoppers on cocain. What are you doing theire? trying to mate?

All of that kills the horrorfeeling, befor it even started. I dont know how much new graphics it will need to make that count again.

(whispers) maybe a singleplayer mode with 3 AI survs would help. But i`ve never said that. ;)

I’ve never heard anyone say they “couldn’t care less about the entity storyline,”

    that’s interesting.

I think it’s alright of a storyline, but I wonder how many others there are who feel the same way you do about the entity.

I kinda wish I could go back to the first few times I played DBD and enjoy that feeling I had when it was all fresh and brand new.

Seems like there’s a desensitization after while that prevents players from ever feeling that unique suspense, that exciting somewhat nervous rush of adrenaline and emotions that we once experienced playing this special game.

    Kinda sad, imo

  • Eventually someone will hack a streamer and DC penalties will once again come to a temporary halt. These things are inevitable.

Until then, try to remain calm, and game on

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1684357#Comment_1684357

Uh, no. The first event was done for actual entertainment. Now they're recycling the system to monetize it. I literally said that outright. There's no cause for speculation -- I literally said what they are doing.

I don't think the pass is burning out people. It is burning out people. Lots of people, after every pass, people complain about feeling burnt out by it. This is not a new thing. It literally happens every pass and more and more people say it each time because it's exhausting. It happened to me when I gave the first pass a fair go (got all the way to 70). Never did that ######### again. Literally felt like I was doing a job; playing a game.

The Rift pass is not "free". Getting a bunch of crappy charms and the odd 900 iridescent shard recolor after 80 hours or so of rift grinding is not exactly a reward. Imagine you worked 80 hours at a factory and for a job well done, I gave you a banana and claimed it was a free reward. You better appreciate that damn banana. Anything of actual real value is in the premium pass. A company handing out a couple of little scraps of junk does not make them saints. And when you look at other battle passes, DBDs is honestly one of the least rewarding ones for free players. You literally get next to nothing.

The Rift is also not optional. There is no option to turn it off, and the game, will pester you about it after every match. "Look at your progress on getting a rift shard! You've unlocked new rewards in the rift! Click here to see them! (literally 8 times out of 9, you will unlock literally an empty square). It literally even blocks the chat after every match, so you have to acknowledge the god damn thing to make it go away. Of course, clicking on this pop up will immediately take you to the battle pass, showing you all the exclusive ######### you're missing out on for not dropping ten bucks on it.

Seriously, following traffic laws is more optional than the Rift. At least I have the option of ignoring traffic laws. Will get in trouble for it, but they're literally more ignorable than that damn battle pass.

You say you wonder why people keep playing -- tell you what, invest thousands of hours into something, hundreds of dollars (maybe even a thousand dollars), and see if it's easy for you to just walk away from it.

That's literally the point. That's why it's called "player engagement". These games get you invested into them, and walking away becomes INSANELY difficult. People don't want all of that money and time to be 'for nothing'. It's literally a trap. Even if people are unhappy, most won't leave, because sometimes they literally cannot afford to leave. Sunken Cost Fallacy. Look it up.

You can keep thinking whatever you want. I respect your opinion -- but please respect others' opinions who are not happy about the current state of the game.

Corporate greed, or simply greed in general,

    I am vehemently against.

    Your eyes are W I D E open

...as should be those who read your post and play this game.

    BEFB2919-7B7A-42F5-9BCC-18BA57568402.png

This is a shot from OP’s video.

Gives a prime example to your “full time job” reference...

80+ hours in match to achieve those numbers.

Big time streamers are getting paid to play DBD. They and fog whisperers will push the Behaviour agenda to their loyal everyday funders (viewers) who may or may not understand the whole picture. It’s an easy middle man job that BE reaps the benefits from without paying those main stream “employees” of theirs who lure more players into the grind (or “trap” as you so astutely recognize it) and make sure they stay good and addicted there, amidst it all.

An interesting partnership with no contracts signed.

It’s almost surprising these posts and discussions are allowed to remain in the forums w/o being canceled-out or erased.

I’m thankful that we can discuss these truths freely and openly, in a healthy manner.

Wish those at Behaviour who opened the doorway allowing the grimy greed machine to rule the environment of DBD would have the decency to tone it down slightly, if not altogether.

All players, not just kids (kids... which is worse, even criminal, imo) are being seduced into the susceptibility of the swindle.

  • Slugging isn’t bannable.

It’s a valid strategy and I personally don’t mind that playstyle.

Chase, hit, down, hook, kill can get typical and boring. Nothing wrong with switching things up a bit.

If what you are describing ever fell under the category of farming points... The devs have stated that they dislike the act of points farming and are highly against it. Farming is not listed anywhere as a bannable offence, but it can be interpreted as "intentional gameplay abuse."

Though, seeing as how there wasn’t repetitive hooking/unhooking, simply chases, hitting downing while objectives were being completed, it doesn’t sound like full fledged farming.

The killer certainly gets the raw end of the deal there though, while survivors potentially can gain a 2pip depending on how long they stayed in the killer’s presence throughout the match without being hooked or sacrificed.

  • Aw, Love it!

    Wish I could have that😔

  • Watching as fellow survivors are toying with the killer (especially at the exit gates) completely oblivious to the DevourHope or the NOED that’s about to be unleashed on them.

  • I play more survivor than killer because I personally don’t enjoy killing people.

DBD is far more graphic than a fantasy game like KH3 or a zombie slayer where the target is an undead creature. Even Siege is realistic in a sense of military survival and has a purposeful intent.

Survivors in DBD are humans. I don’t prefer playing the role of a faster, stronger, pain infliction capable killer chasing down and slaughtering mostly young human characters. It feels too serial killer and graphically realistic, imo.

I’m more of a “good vs bad” as opposed to “bad vs good” personality, that’s jus me.

Definitely more skill involved on killer side.

It all depends on what you consider “toxic”

Usually, as soon as that word is thrown out there the conversation changes.

There are certain, intricate juke maneuvers that I enjoy trying to pull off against good killers. Although I seldom run HeadOn or bring a flashlight, achieving those stuns can be exciting. Trying to pull off a hook juke during a rescue has a thrill factor.

Implementing various strategies, as I mostly survive Solo, to work with 3 other players who I cannot verbally communicate with, and who have their own playstyle and methods is a challenge that I enjoy and actually prefer over playing with a SWF.

I find it is easier to pip up on a SWF team, and less of a reward overall.

Surviving Solo, I feel more often that I’ve moreso earned the pip and the escape, as opposed to on coms, “same page” collaborated perks, always-got-your-back, killer bullying SWF collaborations.

The survivor voices and various sounds, survivor animations and cosmetics, sfx such as totems being cleansed, chests opening, certain perks I enjoy using. All of those are very appealing to me, as well. I love soundtracks of games and movies, and as a survivor, I get to appreciate the ambiance of those background tracks, and also the intensity of the different levels of the killer’s terror radius and chase music as it heightens.

And gens... I just find them peaceful and calming. It’s one of my fav experiences as survivor, tbh; Very relaxing☺️

Yeah, jus the main asylum building, I’d like to enjoy more of that, as it is the main theme...

So before I go on a rant about this in the next video I just wanted to make sure that I got all the information correct.

    -----

The event activities are themed Archive challenges.

The Blight event itself is the same as previous events where there is a slight bloodpoint boost through the use of special offerings that create extra blighted hooks and generators that award the extra points.

The new blighted cosmetic is for David King through the paid battlepass.

I'm unsure where the True Blight cosmetic is earned from. I'm assuming that it's bought with auric cells for now.

There will be a single event charm available through a login bonus with 3 more event charms available through the code redemption system.

The event will last for about 2 weeks from Oct 21 - Nov 3.

The event items will return along with a different flashlight and an addon for killers.

    Am I missing anything?
