  • Man, it's never enough with you people.

First you have issue with killers seeing your rank which got it removed.

Then you have issues other survivors seeing your rank which got it removed.

Now you want to remove hotlinked names so you can what? Be toxic more and not be held accountable for your behavior?

It needs to stay so people can file reports via steam if needed, see valubale information, send req/block, etc.

Instead of asking devs to remove a feature they cannot, why not just be mature and deal with it.

    :)

  • No.

Wraith doesn't need a nerf to any of his kit in any sense.

Just pure, hyper buff all addons, base movespeed and remove the crappy addons.

Two words. Get g pod. Another twlhree words to add learn to play. He is easy to deal with. I have dodged his rage hit plenty of times.

If you're not going to contribute anything meaningful to the topic.

    Don't post.

On another note. I believe Oni needs his turning nerfed or at least some sort of flaw to keep him from the unavoidable Rage-downs.

A player who has any movement sense and has played Oni more then a handful of times, understands how to gear his turns properly.

Some sort of nerf is needed, not enough to gimp him as juking is possible, but the turning around corners much easier the Billy is absolutely ridiculous.

  • As Doctor main with 2900 hours in this game.

It's good to see Doctor viable at all ranks now. However; this being said, he does need to be reigned in.

He's way to easy now and playing him requires no foresight or planning.

  • @Schmierbach said:

Just make Ebony Moris require all 4 survivors to be hooked once before anyone can be moried. Dissuades tunneling and allows survivors more time. Keys should be nerfed at the same time though. Both are unhealthy for the game.

Survivors don't need more time, you absolute madman.

If you require more time at that point; you need to get good and improve your ability to play the game.

Mori's have never been unhealthy for the game; especially since they come at a cost and Gen-rush has always been a thing, especially with SWF.

    So please hush.

  • @Cheers said:

Ok here me out for a moment.

Personally, due to good map pressure, aswell as being able to find survivors easily and slow the game down, as long as you know how to play on tiles, The Legion are one of the best killers in the game.

Now is he better than Freddy, Spirit, Nurse or Hillbilly? Maybe Freddy? But the rest no. For me they're a top five.

They also works amazingly with certain perks (such as blood echo and thanataphobia).

Obviously there will be people who think different, but people say so much bad things about them when in actual fact they're fairly strong.

Edit : Decided it would be a great idea to do some more stat tracking, and this one will be on Legion at rank 1.

Please post Rank and Hours played.

    Thank you.

playing with a WELL coordinated 4 man SWF can be difficult for killers.

but for the most part, it’s killer sided but nobody will admit it

Completely not true and is not backed by actual data.

  • @TruEternity said:

First, the elephant in the room, SWF with comms will give an advantage compared to a solo q. This is a fact, indisputable, end of story.

BUT, that does not mean swf is the boogieman it's made out to be. The fabled toxic 4-man isn't really a problem. In fact, I find the opposite true, most 4-mans tend to goof off far more then a group of 4 solo's, making them easier to kill. They also play stupidly altruistic compared to randoms. Also the gen rushing death squads who know all the loops, are fairly rare. Will you get the occasional rude, stereotypical 4-mans? Sure, it's likely you'll run into many different play style's and players, toxic people among them.

In truth, most of the time SWF is just used as a excuse for a bad experience. I played badly? Gen rushing 4-man SWF. Got a rude person in post game chat? Toxic entitled 4-man SWF. Rarely, in my 1000 hours of playtime, have I seen that be the rule, not the exception.

So really, SWF doesn't need a change, it's fine as is. Could the solo experiance use some improving, yes, I believe so, but it doesn't mean the opposite is a problem.

    Yeah no.

    @TWiXT

You really forgot a lot of his strengths

    • Injures people even if he messes up his reel
    • Has a longer weapon range than terror radius with monitor
    • No pre-firing sound cue for survivors to react to
    • No easily recognizable reload sound cue
    • Smaller harpoon hitbox means he can hit through and over many more environmental obstacles
    • Straight shot. No worries about arching projectile
    • Very forgiving window before the hook break stun so he can land a hit even after it breaks
    • Best Killer in the game at getting last second exit gate kills
    • Environments are generally bugged in his favor with lots of areas being more smooth than then appear when survivors are hooked

Just biased Bullyslingers wanting devs to keep him clunky oppressive while intentionally ignoring his obvious worth.

    /shrug

    Agree with you.

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

I dont want to start conflict here but if you're being beaten by survivors who just panic drop pallets and dont even loop you are either brand new or awful at killer.

You realize, there is far more benefit to spam throwing pallets instead of trying to get a stun off right?

It's a tactic and it's incredibly effective to run the gambit, since gens can all fly by while you can do this.

Instead of accusing the poster of being bad, why not do some further research, lest you be called out and look like a jester.

  • I agree. D.C penalities just encourage further toxicity and only push players away.

Which at the moment, is what DBD devs and company has been doing ever since they were bought.

I feel as if they are intentionally doing this.

  • If you think he's bad, I think it's a severe lack of practice. Because I've seen from R1-R20, get stable 3-4k's on reg.

    It's just you.

  • Devs have a cruel sense of humour and I'm starting to think they enjoy the suffering of Killers.

Break line of sight and do gens.

Also, really tired of these "nerf Deathslinger because people know how to aim" posts.

I don't see moris being reasonably touched without them reworked entirely from an offering to something that triggers under certain conditions, being base kit,

I guess....IF...you wanted to touch moris....you could rather than straight nerf them make them something that affects the game more directly for both survivors and killer. Making them actually effects the game mode itself or the enviroment.

The main problem is you got 1 guy vs 4 and killers have been arguing for a long, long time not that killers are bad-although that was true for a time- but that the killer experience is so sweaty that ti can quickly become unfun. Especially when you see some guy loop a pallet which you have no play you can really make against and watch 3 gens pop.

No breaking chase don't work on most maps where there's loops all over the place. Especially half wall loops where you can't even mind game the stain.

Moris are meant to make the game less stressful and make the killer actually feel like killers and not errand boys who get butt danced and looped endlessly.

I personally wouldn't mind moris being changed into stuff that directly effect survivors afflicted and killer. Changing up the game mode.

    Like....

Ebony removing gens and putting the match on count down. Maybe massively increasing the killers radius except when in chase then he has none. But effectively revealing the downed/hooked and moried player and killer along with all other players for a short period. Like 10 seconds.

That could be a way of turning mori from-do gens but I get to kill you after one hook...oh, some dupe unhooked you in my face too bad- to a game of deadly hide and seek.

    tl;dr That's called a perk.

Also, if the remove Mori's. I can garuntee you. 80% of the remaining killer base will leave.

If you're going to remove Mori's then: Remove Keys. Nerf generator repair speed: Bring back Ruin. Survivors die on 3rd/4th down. Then I'll be okei.

This is actually fairly easy to counter. If they just hooked someone and you're in the terror radius, hop in a locker. You cannot be shocked in lockers.

As a Doctor main before the two reworks.

This is barely good advice. Yes you can hop into a locker as soon as he hooks someone.

What you don't account for his the massive terror Radius, the fact you may not be near locker and that Iron Maiden exist.

Or the fact he may even be using the add-on to expose you with each teir.

This add-on, coupled with the fact that it's incredibly easy to M3 someone, allows for an unending repeative ability to see someone. Making Jukes harder and immersion even less of a thing.

    Yes yes, all situational variables.

Doctor is without a doubt a hundred teams easier, requires little to no planning or skill at this point.

I have hit R1 with him, Adept, a boostable amount of hours, etc.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/136697/does-deathslinger-need-a-buff-or-a-nerf

If you say nerf, you are very obviously not a red rank killer. He is complete trash, C or D tier.

He needs a buff. Like several. A few good ideas would be...

115 mvmt speed (his power isn't nearly strong enough to warrant 110)

    Can drag people over pallets

Less stun penalty for his weapon

He's honestly top 5 worst killers in the game. He's helpless on maps with lots of loops and pallets, like Ormond. He's a really poorly designed killer, and it's kind of amazing how the devs can make a pretty well balanced killer like Oni in one patch, then do a terrible job the next one.

All I can do is laught at this.

  • I legit love and hate this game.

I play not as much because I disagree with the way the game has gone the past few years.

But in small doses, DBD is still top tier.

Unfortunate that it's slowly dying because lack of interest due to a complete disharmony between Killers vs Devs vs Survivor mentality.

Maybe one day the Devs will wakeup and finally swalllow the pill and bring back DBD's glory days.

I won't hold my breath however.

As a Doctor Main with over 2800 hours in this game and R1 award.

The Doctor is extremely powerful to the solo queue player and unexperienced premades.

As a 50/50 player, I can say with 100% certianity, that although I'm happy with the buff to Doctor, it is MUCH too overwhelming how even the worst players who are playing doctor can easily 3/4k.

It is unacceptable: As he was once a killer who entirely depended on the players skill, logical deduction and timing.

He is now a brainless arena shocker that doesn't require much to any of his previous skill caps.

BVHR. Please tone back some of his power and bring back the High Difficulty /High Reward that us Doctor players.

  • WHy are you double posting at me?

    Also. Nope not true.

  • Sadly to say.

The devs rather be shifty in the way they shape this game instead of fixing the underlying problems that are deeply rooted in this game.

For a long time; it seems this is a painful truth to realize.

Devs: You are dramatically ruining the game for your Veteran playerbase and instead of fixing it, you are destroying it until it remains a ghost of it's former self.

If you keep this up; you will not have a playerbase beyond casuals who play the game for a week or two and leave.

This is the time to stop and reconsider who you really care about as Dev's and a company.

The players who gave you a job and a success or the temporary wealth it brings?

    Sincerely.

    2800 Hour Veteran.

    Fact.

Plague is already one of the strongest killers. You get almost perma tier 3 myers for just touching the survivors with the tiniest amount of puke, and can slap on thanta for an easy 16% slowdown on top of it. Or you just puke on generators and don't even have to see the survivors to get your perma tier 3.

Her red puke is ludicrously overpowered in the hands of a skilled player, and that's why nobody ever cleanses at the high ranks.

If you wanted to use her power, you could bring an apple, and those are readily available since they are both common and uncommon add-ons.

The fact they are going to be indirectly buffing wallhacks plague is hilarious, and shows they don't know how to balance a competitive game in the slightest.

Please tell me this is satire or nah?

  • The proposed "buff" is a joke.

    Not. A. Real. Buff.

  • Plague hasn't been buffed.

Many people have been talking about games going too quickly, lower tier killers being unusable, and ruin being the only thing that held the game together...

Have I been playing the same DBD? Because last time I checked things that everyone is talking about making the game horrible isn't happening to me even though i've been playing daily at rank 1. Sure there is the occasional broken match of OoO gen rusher swf that loops like the top .5% of players and games like that usually end in either camping and tunneling for the 3 or 4k or just a 2k off of that's what the game is balanced for... but even then that's the far MINORITY of games... at least for me.

I'm finding it hard to understand how this ruin change has RUINED Dbd when all it has done is expose a bunch of scrubby red rank killer that got carried there because daddy ruin bought them their precious time that they couldn't pressure themselves. Maybe people need to realize instead of the game being the issue... it's perhaps... THEM that's the issue... no way right! It couldn't possibly be... THEIR fault could it?

DBD has balancing issues that's for sure, but can these clowns stop pretending it's 2016 all over again and you can't even hook 1 survivor before over half the gens pop. How about don't chase someone for 2 or 3 gens and go apply pressure somewhere else. I saw a post that mentioned demogorgon being unplayable... as an avid demo screecher I can confirm this to be very false along with many other killers scrubs have deemed unplayable as well just because they aren't your generic top tier killer that is ez to get 4k's with aka. spirit.

There are other slowdown perks that can be used in tangent and they work amazing if you.. guess what... apply pressure.

TLDR: Git Gud and Apply pressure, Ruin Carried alot of these fake red rank killers.

    Stop being toxic.

  • As a Doctor main with about 2600 hours in this game here is what I've come into believing.

Doctor before required precise timing, planning and positioning which added to his difficulty. Compounded with his cooldowns and speed, this made him a hard to master, but rewarding Killer to play.

Now, with this rework, although super fun to play. It has made him completely mindless to go against and took the skillcap from him. He's now incredly high reward no risk that even a baby could play him and 4k.

He's back to being competely unfun to go against as a Survivor.

  • Billy will get a much needed nerf. Finally.

  • It's not dying. Hush. Stop the rage posting.

  • Hopefully Dev's see that there is a mass desire for Billy Nerf and buff for Nurse.

A mori by design cuts down the overall objectives needed to reach a sacrifice.

The exact same statement above applies to keys if you exchange the word mori for key and sacrifice for escape.

They are equivalent as they allow both sides to reach the end goal without fullfilling the overall objective.

Both aslo have no counter unless you count not being caught or hooked or killing before they can use it.

That would be a counter? lmao.

Anyways. I'm out of the conversation. gl

  • @brokedownpalace said:

Multiple times I've jumped into the hatch, part way through the animation with my survivor's legs already inside and then the killer closes it and the animation gets canceled. Might as well be able to grab if the killer can cancel an escape in progress.

Seriously though, just stop whining. Sorry that you can't always 4k.

That's the server, not the actual game allowing that. You're welcome for clarifying.

It's to remove hatch standoffs. At the same time, we added the ability for the killer to close the hatch. Now that the killer can close the hatch, whoever gets there first wins.

Sorry, but this may be true in a basic game. But one word. Key. No counter. We're not saying that it's not fair that it exist, some of us are saying the easy accessibilty with little counterplay of Hatching out is still unbalanced.

Keys are the equivalent of Mori's .

Both need things a certain amount of objective done to get the use out of them.

If one needs a change thrn in reality so does the other as both can end the game prematurely but a mori can do it quicker.

Not quite sure how you draw that conclusion.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/840047#Comment_840047

The person who gets there first now wins the hatch game. I don't see how hatch stand offs are better then if the killer finds it, they close the hatch.

Because exiting animation trumps closing animation, you can enter hatch when downed [Makes no sense, should be a perk],Unfair spawning points [Namely in shack with window and pallet].

I have always hated hatches more then I enjoyed them. Sure, sometimes you do all the work and your teamates have mashed potatoes for brains. But unless you have at least 2-3 gens done or Key. You shouldn't be entitled to an ultra ez hatchout.

I would rather have Hatches be tweaked rather then EGC buffed. As stated, in my opinion. Hatches need stricter requirements for useage and a buff to survivors ability to power gates.

  • It was in my opinion, because Survivor Mains cried. I personally wished they'd just remove hatch openings unless you have a key. Allow EGC to play out normally but force survivors to open exit gates at increased speeds. However gone would be the days of no Red-light til 20%.

Hatch has never been fair, regardless of the changes. I much prefer the standoffs to be honest. At least whomever got there first earned the right.

Survivors refused to be weary of Killers who found hatch first, and instead choose to try go the easy way out and create standoffs. I'll probably get flak for this viewpoint, but I'm not sorry for having it.

Edit: Devs will say that the reason for the whole point of the rework was to remove Hatch standoffs and that being able to grab a survivor mid-animation while they exited was the "sole" reason why the issue existed.

Hahaha funny Wraith with good addons can be a solid killer (depending on the skill of the player too) tbh Clown is way worse he doesn't have map pressure he is just a pure m1 killer with bottles

Wraith is my number one main out of my top three. I have personally over 1200 hours with him alone. In the hands of a capable player in Purple and above ranks, he can work out to good results. However, in Red Ranks, where SWF is dominant. Even with his addons (90% which are mediocre still, after 3 or so reworks.) A Wraith player has to work x20 harder then killers above him in tier. This is a opinion that is shared by most Red Rank killers and all the pro-Wraith players.

It's entirely possible to get Red Ranks alone with Wraith, however the percentage of those players are maybe %5 of the other killers in Red Ranks.

These aren't just opinions, they can, with proper time and collection of data, be proven.

Wraith has, and for the foreseeable future, will always be bottom tier. Sadly.

  • I agree that hook placement and quanity have always been a problem of some caliber in DbD.

Hooks should never be RNG and should set places in where they spawn. For the people that say this would be boring, predictable etc. It would level the playing ground for both survivor and Killer alike.

If not that change, then an more intelligent RNG system. It's always 3 hooks within 15 meters of each other and the rest miles away from each other.

Devs; Come on. You're capable of better changes then this. You know your community loves your content releases, but we've been begging for certian changes for years now.

  • As a Killer main, I agree that Ghostface is tuned way to strongly. I really dislike how buggy it is to destealth him or the fact that he can mark multiple targets at once so fast.

I would like to see them finetune and reform how to destealth him and more importantly, nerf the rate he can stalk multiple Survivors at once.

Of the tierlist? Yes, he is. He has zero map pressure and his loop cutoff is nice, but, it isn't enough and good Survivors can ignore it.

That's a hard no. He's lower Mid-tier, but in no way bottom of the barrel bad. He has spotted map pressure, okei. He cuts off connected loops/short loops. But you cannot use the arguement "if he isn't good enough" because then one could just say, "If he's good enough" etc.

  • She looks terrible on PC as well.
