Still my point is, the will to use NM shows the overconfidence of survivor in general.

No matter the topic, you tell everyone that YOU are doing great as killer.
No matter what killer or what nerf we are talking about, you outplay any adversity.
Maybe you should give us the link to your twitch channel.
I really want to learn to be a better killer and ignore all the survivorsided mechanics just like you do.I've never once said I'm a rank 1 killer, that's you trying the typical Straw Man and failing badly. I've never once said i'm godlike with her nor a rank 1 killer. I'm honest and say i'm having a blast on them, and Wraith before rework i hated.
Feel free to think I failed. I see it otherwise.
In literally every thread any killer player is complaining about bad mechanics, you show up and tell everyone how great you do despite the issue.
So you try to belittle everyone that is complaining, because YOU can overcome it and anybody else should be able to as well.
Sorry, but if anyone it using cheap polemics here… it is you, buddy.
But nice try.

Purple add on gives a repairspeed debuff for 120 seconds.
Hey that guy has been hit by a saw… so he is most likely down., carried and hooked.
And after the unhook he needs to get to a safe place and get healed.
By the time he goes back on a gen, the debuff is most likely already expired. -

Killers that slugged the third guy until they bleed out to try and 4k are just greedy A-holes. If you want to slug for a 4k, that's fine, but pick the dude up and hook them if it's clear the guy isn't going to save them. Otherwise you are just wasting time and losing points. Take the damn hook, let hatch spawn, and play it out. Stop being entitled to a 4k.What about 3 people rush to the rescue of the last guy beside the open door?
Survivor do that all the time... isn't that the very same thing in your logic? -
I think the timelimit on the chainsaw add ons are crap.
Before they got nerfed, they had been without limit.
Got hit by the saw = repairspeed debuff for the rest of the game. -

Apropos map pressure … have played against a Freddy with Class Photo? That's applying tons of pressure on the team. But it is a purple add on and you can't play it all the time. :P
The reason Freddy has no map pressure is the same reason why Leatherface and Myers with Dying Light get a 1K...they are natural campers and tunnelers. Now don’t get me wrong...there is nothing wrong with a little camping or tunneling but with Freddy’s perks it makes him ONLY go after the obsession trying to get those 6 Remember Me tokens. I’ve rarely seen good Freddy players for this reason alome which also makes Freddy kind of boring to play against.
Freddy and Wraith’s power do not help them in a chase which makes them extremely weak in chases, but they are excel in tracking survivors. Freddy is your average M1 killer but even weaker with little map pressure. Wraith is only a step above that.
Yes I know that not all Freddy players tunnel the obsession, it’s just what I’ve experienced and one of the reasons why I’ve seen Freddy do so bad in rounds
erm… with Class Photo you do not start hurting anyone before you have all asleep. Ok, after that, Freddy is forced to tunnel, because he can't leave an injured survivor alone, since they would use Self Care to wake up. And I hardly ever use Remember Me, so I can't say much about that.^^

I wanted to ask what your rules are for your matches mine are.
1. Ten second rule on all unhooks, wait 10 seconds then hunt.
2. Never become focused on 1 target.
3. Two people dead and 4 generators I give them two generators before I hunt again.
3. Last random survivor I give them the win, unless their being a toxic little ball of sunshine then I give the gift of the Mori.To me though the game seems more like a hunt instead of trying to kill 4 people as quickly as I can.
My motto is: Its never about the kill but the hunt.Do I need to say more?

... why not give freddy the ability to grab and pull survivors off of gens, escape gates, and hook rescues if they're in the dream transition ….Good idea. Freddy can already pick victims from locker despite them being awake, so why not at least give him the grab while they are in transition? That would solve a lot of issues for him.
-
@powerbats said:
Wall of text but the point remains the same, you got the hook then do a no skill play. You can call it what you want but camping takes no skill in any shape form or fashion. It's like a survivor hiding in a locker all match and only moving to another locker to avoid the crows. This has nothing to do with shaming since most killers manage to do just fine without camping at 4-5 gens left. If all gens are powered then camping is completely understandable, especially if you've got no one sac'd before that.
If you're going to defend a no skill tactic at the start then that means the killer has no skill plain and simple and if it's a Billy or Nurse they're going to get 1 or more kills usually due to high mobility.
lol
So you refused to read at all and just go back to your no argument "no skill" routine… nice.
Pretty much sums it up… #alternatefacts -
@powerbats said:
As if camping takes any actual skill when you're just standing there as a Billy revving your chainsaw up next to hook with 4-5 gens still left.
Hypothesis:
Camping is unskilled and lazy.So...let's take a look at this...
The killer found a survivor, he chased him, hit him twice and carried him to the hook.
So he was better seeking than the survivor hiding. He beat the survivor in the chase, even twice, despite the survivor having a speedburst after a hit and the killer a cooldownanimation. So there was plenty of chance to run away and hide. Maybe the survivor really hided and was found again. After he downed him, he carried him to the hook, maybe the killer picked a perk in advance to ensure that, maybe he didn't have that perks, maybe he had to overcome other survivors who try to hinder him.
So...the killer did 4 skillfull actions with according selection of perks in advance and has the victim on the hook.(And the survivor didn't do that, he could have picked DS for example to counter the much hated IG)
Now he decides to guard that catch aka camp, because he thinks he "earned" that catch.
Maybe he even use it as bait on purpose.
He either "pays" for this ensured sacrifice with his most precious resource: time. Or he might have to fight of wannabe rescuers.Still survivors call that "unskilled and lazy".
Because they only take a snapshot of the situation and that is AFTER the killer did all the work (search, chase, carry). And obviously ignoring further work, like fighting of rescuers.
(Not even considering nearby patrol and damaging gens or setting traps or signs of survivors nearby.)They failed several chances to avoid getting caught. They failed hiding, juking, wiggling and no one rescued during the carry. No one interfered during the chase, by distracting the killer to give their teammate a chance to heal up- or maybe they did and he got caught anyway. And he still pays for camping by spending time. And remember, (almost) any "camper" can be beat.er. Anything is possible to rescue. But the team was unable to do it or not willing to take the effort and risk.
In my opinion it's a cheap way of trying to shame killer into a survivorfavorable behavior to imply to them that their tactic is "unskilled and lazy". This form of peer pressure through stigmatisation of a functional tactic doesn't need any ingame skill.
-
I like it.^^
I never understood why there is a mechanic that let the last survivor escape to prevent the 4k (hatch), but no mechanic favoring the killer to avoid a 4 escape.
:P -
Survivor need the "chance to farm points"... really?
How about the killer gets the "chance to farm some points"?
Do you know who hinders the killer doing that? Survivor.
Removing 1 or 2 survivor as soon as possible is beneficial for the remaining match to gain more points for the killer.
If 4 survivor stay alive for to long, the point gain for killer will get less. -

When WGLF was buffed, the survivor lobby times skyrocketed, because every player switched to survivor for easy BP gain.

OoO is a troll perk and an open invite to get camped for using it.And Dying Light is a terrible perk to use, usually 4 gens are done, before the perk shows any effect.
rate them all and explain why you rate it that way lets get some quality feedback going on these obsession perks
DS: Terrible perk to begin with. Does nothing for low skill player that miss their skillchecks on a regular basis, but boost those player that are good on their own. Pair that up with 4 copies in the team and you have a serious issue.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EitZRLt2G3wOoO: Basically the same as above, low skill player don't benefit from it at all, but it is a big thing for survivor that know well how to waste the killers time anyway. And for a full SWF on voice com it is another major boost to be exploited.
SS: I like the idea of a lone wolf build, but it is only a niche perk.
DL: in a decent team of survivor 3 gens will be done, when the fist victim is hooked. Good luck for you IF it is the obsession, but most likely it is not. And you will still lose at least another gen before you get the obsession killed. So you will be down to one gen at best, when the perk starts working. Useless in high rank, but a noobstomber perk if you get your obsession quick in low rank/low skill matches.
PWYF: To weak, to situational.
STBFL: Half way decent now. But good survivor will exploit it. The obsession will constantly run into you and do dangerous stuff, just to provoke attacks and wastes of token.
Rancor: Haven't played it yet, but it is a seriously overrated perk imo. Survivor complain about it because they might be that one guy that suffer from that mediocre perk
Remember me:. Pretty balanced perk. It has his moments to shine, but in a nutshell, you will often go with it without ever getting any benefit from it. It is an ok perk, but with only 4 slots available it is most often the 5th perk you would choose.
-
How do you "work around" decreased speed while UNCLOAKED?
That's basically reduced speed during any regular chase(!?) -

That calculation is completely invalid for my point.
It doesn't matter how many matches they play per day. It is about them kobe in MY matches.
So you have to go from the amount of matches I play, not them.
And I do not play 50 matches a day and still happens regular to me. Especially in crucial situations.
And since most survivor don't even try to kobe or only once, your calculations are flawed again. No, you have to go by the matches that they play, since they're the ones rolling the dice. Once again, you confirm that you don't understand statistics, at all.
My assumptions were just that - assumptions. If you have a different set of conditions you'd like me to calculate, just say so.
Sorry, but no. If I encounter to many kobes, so that I have a valid reason to disbelieve the 4% chance, it has to be calculated from the killers perspective, no matter who "rolled" it.
Chances don't care who rolled the dice.
There are 4 possible people getting hooked and all of them can try to kobe max. 3x.
In most cases they don't do that 3x and often it is still just 3 people or even only 2 hooked and still they kobe more than 11,5% of the time. -
Buffing heals is the complete opposite of what this game needs.
Killer are already in a bad spot with survivor being healed to fast anyway. -

Yes, your kinda right, but I hate if survivor count any "soft counter" as a "hard counter", but they want "hard counter" for everything that a killer has, despite the fact that they already have way to many perkless mechanics in their advantage.

-Windstorm effect build into the kit (hardly noticeable)
-some useless add ons got new (some better, some still useless) effectsCon:
-uncloaking became slower (which which was already to slow since the last failed rework)

It's cause you're looking at the numbers from a non-statistics point of view, which is understandable cuz not everyone knows statistics well. What you need to consider is that each survivor has a 4% chance to kobe each kobe attempt, not just all of the first phase. To find out the real chance of kobeing, we need to consider it is 3 attempts in total. The best way to find this out is by figuring out the chance that the survivor will **NOT ** kobe. Because you have a 4% chance to kobe, you have a 96% chance to fail to each kobe. So 1st attempt, 96% chance to fail. But with the 2nd attempt, we have to keep in mind that you only get a 2nd attempt if you fail to first one, so the odds of failing your first 2 kobe attempts is .96 * .96, then you still have to count the third attempt meaning your total equation is .96 * .96 * .96. doing this gets you about 88.5% for failing all 3 tries, meaning each survivor really has an 11.5% chance to unhook themselves if they try all 3 times. This is just the base chance, including things such as luck offerings, Slippery Meat, and Up The Ante increase their chance of kobeing.
Actually I do know pretty well how statistics work, that's why I doubt the numbers.
Even if you break it down mathematically it happens way to often, especially if you see them kobe on the first or 2nd attempt. The fact that you think it matters if it's the first or second attempt in any given trial tells me you don't know how statistics work.
Using a binomial distribution, the odds of 1 or more successes with a 0.04 (4%) probability of success are around 11.5%.
Assuming that Survivors play 50 trials per day and get 3 attempts on each, that's 150 attempts, which brings P(X>=x) up to 99.78% - a near-certainty that they'll be able to get off the hook. Are you kidding me?
That calculation is completely invalid for my point.
It doesn't matter how many matches they play per day. It is about them kobe in MY matches.

Buff both!
LF needs his rev slow down to be removed.
And both need the timelimits from their add ons be removed.
-
I think they completely removed the Bloodhound effect from his base kit.
You need to use the common add on now to have that effect.
They also seem do have nerfed his uncloak speed and Windstorm is terrible now, since any nerf to base movement speed is inacceptable.
In general the increased speed while cloaked gets eaten up by the slower uncloak anyway. -
