And you backed me up on that...I think? It was kind of hard to get what you were saying, since I'm guessing english is not your first language....(?)
Let me help you out, Sheldor.

@skvirl Are you new to internet debates? For real, calling someone "coward" just because he refuse to talk to someone? Some people are stubborn and impervious to logic and reason, after the Xth time explaining the same things to them, you just talk "around them". You can't hinder them to participate in a debate you are in also, but you can refuse to interact with them directly without leaving their nonsensical statements unresponded.

Hell, show me a video of you playing killer, I'll give you advice and tips if you like. I think OhTofu does a series on his youtube now of how to be a better player. Try him maybe? Anything else. You seem unable to even play the game based on your "math". Jesus tap dancing Christ, it's pathetic. Just because other bad players agree, doesn't make it so. smhAlso..."survivor state of denial". AGAIN with this? I'M. A. FCKING. KILLER. You just happen to be a trash killer in denial. Stop projecting.
How about you show me the point where I am wrong?

PS: I just have to repeat myself so often, because reason and logic doesn't change. Survivor keep coming up with the same crap over and over again and the answers just stay the same, no matter how often they choose to ignore them.

Wolfie, we would lose a plethora of survivors. More than we’d gain
I wrote something similar to this about the old myth about "we can't split the playerbase", when it comes to making two queues, one for SWF, one without.
I simply repost it here and you will see it fit right in."Don't split the playerbase"
There we go again...
Your logic follows a flawed assumption.
That the playerbase would stay the same and we would just split it up.
In fact the playerbase would change.
Some would leave, some would come.
And since most likely the wrong people would leave, since they can't use their unfair advantage anymore, the quality of the community would become better and that way attract more player.
Old ones will return, new ones get attracted.
Maybe even some REAL horror fans would join in that have no problem with playing against an overpowered killer, because that's what they EXPECT if they are fans of the genre.
70% of all lobbies contain Swf, but only roughly (less than) 50% of all survivor join the lobby via Swf, including those that join via Swf despite being solo, to avoid bugs and stuff.
So we are talking about less than half the survivor playerbase -remember, we have a shortage of killer at the moment, not survivor (more killer per survivor = faster que times, better QoL for survivor)- that had to choose if they stay or leave.
So lets get real, even if a boldly high number of 80% would say, they will stop playing all together. We know by experience far less than half would really quit.
So what? We would lose MAX 20% of the survivor playerbase.
That would be compensated easy with returning players and new player.
And after that we would have a better, less toxic community with more real fans and less people who just play to troll.
Which would attract even more player if the word spread out.
In a nutshell you can expect a RISE in player. -

If survivors stop looping and gen rushing then maybe they’ll stop camping and tunneling.Looping is the game. Killers need to know how to loop better than the survivor, not respect pallets, know how to mind game certain tiles etc etc.
Gen rushing is as stupid as saying kill rushing.
Camping and tunneling is a person problem not a game problem. It's much more effective (and fun for all) and you get more pressure in chasing another and doing damage.
I'm really not sure if you're memeing -.-
First off: "Looping is NOT the game". Looping was unintended. It got sanctioned by the Devs, because they did not dare change it. Technically it is by definition an exploit. Just "accepted" by the Devs.
For the 2nd thing, I just repost something old:
"Gen rush" is just a term that describes the mismatch in time it takes to chase and hook a survivor, compared to the gens that could be done in that time.
If it takes 3 gens to hook someone, the killer is forced to camp to get one kill and remove one player from the game. There are only 2 gens left and another chase while 3 survivor keep doing the objective is destined to fail. With most likely all escaping.
As a killer it is hard to keep pressure on the gens and trying to hook at the same time. Hooking is the only form of lasting damage to survivors.
Just chase them for a hit and than let them go to keep pressuring the gens is very unsatisfying, because that survivor will just heal up and keep going. But if you tunnel him to finish him you lose at least 2 gens.Gen rush is not just the time it takes to do a gen. Gen rush can not be fixed by increasing the time it takes to do a gen. It is about the chase (loops, windows, pallets, healing).
And of course it gets worse with proper survivor items and builds (BNP, purple toolbox, etc.).
Right, but, this is the game now. Get over it. Get better and you won't get gen rushed.
"3 GENS TO HOOK SOMEONE"!!?? Do you hear yourself? You and others here need to learn HOW to deal with loops, windows pallets and healing better. Or just come to the forum and cry some more.
If you're a good, hell, even a mediocre killer, you will win 80% of your games and do so convincingly.
So again… survivor state of denial..
That's "gen rush".If you and your team is unable to do that, it is a you-issue.
4 survivor spreading out, each one does a gen on it's own. Only one can get chased and kept of a gen. As soon as someone is not chased, he heals and goes to the next gen.
So 3 survivor are constantly working on gens. Switching targets only prolongs the time it takes to get one survivor down and is not beneficial to the killer.
With a decent runner taking 30-40 seconds per hit, plus pick up and carry that is the time it takes to complete a gen alone, without a toolbox or great checks, that 's the 70-80 seconds for each of the remaining survivor to complete a gen.
That's simple mathematics.
But survivor just keep saying it is about "bad killer", while in fact it is a bad gamedesign and wrongly calculated time to do objectives on both sides. -
Lithe has Dance with me to go with it.
Maybe Balance Landing needs another perk like Dance with me to go along with i? -
4 hits.^^
So he is the opposite of an insta down killer.
He doesn't half the amount of hits to down someone, but double. XD -
By removing a toxic, unbalanced feature, the playerbase could actually GROW, because the game would get a better reputation of being well balanced and fun to play for both sides.

Oh who would have guessed that?
A survivor main is asking for killer to play stupid.
Why should a killer NOT tunnel and turn a 4v1 into a 3v1 as soon as possible?
Why do survivor always think that killer have to care about their "fun"?That's why the devs need to do something about it, you defending sh**ty behavior doesn't make it justifiable, and just because you can doesn't mean you should. That's just childish honestly.
You can still have fun, be in control, get all survivors without resorting to cheap tactics, but also, if survivors stop having fun, who are you going to get to play against? _USE YOUR HEAD. _

BT will be full meta again. One more reason to hard camp to prevent it from happening.New BT is not anymore useful in the end game than it is currently, new BT is just more powerful in the mid game. And mid game camping is terribly unfun for the killer and the survivors. The solution really is to not camp in the mid game. In the end game its still equally as useful as it was before, as 25 seconds is more than enough time to reach a gate unless you are very far from the gate, but if youre that far from the gate with new BT you probably wont make it to the gate anyways from getting hit again.
Are you kidding me?
The timer will NOT go down in a chase.
With a good runner (looper/juker) this is HUGE.
And you can "mend" without the need of help, medkits or SC.
And still here you go and wanna tell me "no big deal"??
And since camping is "terribly unfun for killer and survivor", we just buff survivor, because that would totally increase the fun for the killer… wait, #########!?
The solution is "just don't camp"? As if that suggestion ever worked. Survivor just hook rush and WANT BT to trigger. They run towards the unhook while the killer is on their track and stuff like that. And BT is covering up their bad plays. -

Leave and survive, instead of reckless safes that get you killed.
Just hit great skillchecks, if you can.
What do you expect survivor to do? Mess around all day and play stupid? You clearly missed my point. They agreed before playing to do certain things. Things that in a normal game with solo survivors they probably wouldn't do. Example, "don't bother looking for totems" is something normal survivors wouldn't do. Even if you are a good solo survivor, if you find the totem you would do it. They didn't, which saved them time and effort. They also agreed to not save each other after the gates were powered and just leave. Something no normal survivor would do unless they had some reason too (eg. you are Rancor obsession, you expect Blood Warden, etc.). Is it smart play? Yes. Could a group of solo players with no comms also do that? Yes, but you have NO WAY to be sure they would. Which is the entire point. A group of actual solo survivors are less predictable than an SWF group with pre-determined tactics. You can't rely on the others to do gens while you are on the hook, you just hope they do gens. And you hope you are both on the same page because if you aren't you die.
It's certainty versus probability. Depip Squad members could be certain the others were all doing exactly whatever they expect they should be doing in that moment. Real solo survivors can't have that level of certainty and always have to play a bit more cautious in case they are wrong.
So again… you want to expect all survivor to play like complete morons?
Here we go again… survivor ask everything killer related to get balanced around top notch, best killer player available and blame any shortcomings on killer as "skill problems".
But all survivor related stuff should be balanced around a bunch of stupid idiots that do not know how to play.doublestandards

And the stats dont say how much of those 60 which arent escapes are actually earned kills or disconnects, with survivor suiciding on hooks further muddying the stats. With the current general survivor behaviour any stats concerning kills and escapes aren't as helpful as they could be.
And to The_Crusaders example solo round:
Just because multiple sandbags, DC'ing and allegedly bad teammates, its somehow not the sirvivors fault?Don't forget the snowball kills.
One guy hears the Nurse blink (static field scream, nursery ryhme, whatever he dislikes) and straight up DCs.
Leaving his 3 mates with 5 gens to do.
(Same for "I did not like the map")
Not only will he count as a "kill", but his mates are put at a disadvantage and most likely will get killed also.Same is true for all those Dcs (or suicides on the hook) for each "crap I was found first", "crap I was downed", "crap I was hooked".
And to many games turn from 1k into 3k just by the overconfidence of survivor and their "no one left behind" attitude.
Those stats would be much better if survivor would actually need to escape.

Now killers do the same and survivors scream for temp bans and time outs.
Ironic
A small number of people who wanted to do that did it for what, a month or two before SWF was introduced?
That totally justifies most killers doing it for over 2 years because solo survivors just happened to load in at the same time as other solo survivors or they had a cosmetic or item the killer didn't like.
But some people can't understand that the killer is also a human being who wants to enjoy the game.
@Tsulan
So by the same premise i guess you never camp without reason, because it's not fun for survivors either.Define camping.
Because I've seen survivors call out a face camp from 20 meters distance.
Or complain about camping, when MYC triggered.
Or when the gates are powered...Everything the killer does is considered camping.
@Tsulan
My definition of camping is:
Killer stands or patrols really close to the hook with no evidence of survivors being close by.Then you are one of few.
Doesn't matter if I instantly leave the hook, let everyone go on purpose, or if I get looped 20 meters away from the hook. I always get salty comments for being a camper.Survivors use the definition so loose, that most killers don't even care anymore. They'll call them campers anyway. So why not camp? Why not do exactly what they always complain about?
Survivor call anything camping that is not a free, completely riskless. safe unhook.
If you are capable of initiating a new chase after the unhook, before or immediately after the rescued got healed up.
If you do not take badly executed bait to lure you from the hook = camper.
If you follow them back to the hook, when they sprint towards it in the plain open = camper.
If you dare to kick a gen in the nearby area or take time to put up a trap. or worse you go fetch one and come back to place it, or take your time to refill hatches = camper. -

Similar to how people would know to got botlane with an ADC and a Support In LoL. That form of pre-established communication is available for everybody. Any form of pre-established communication is actually.
No I mean they had very specific tactics in mind for certain situations. For example, if they rush gens and get the gates open, they just leave and don't even attempt to save the 1 guy on the hook, even if it was their first hook. They also didn't bother with totems, they just plow through Ruin. They also planned to split the maps every time, and did gens in the middle of the map. While solo players could do all this stuff you have no way to know what the others are going to do. You hope they make the smart choice but you have no control over it, and you always need to have a back up plan in case they make the wrong choice. But when you say before the game "hey don't save each other if the gates are open" that's pre-establish communication solo players don't have. You know the choices others will make so you don't have to guess what you should be doing.
So you complain about them to know how to play the game?

While I’m not agreeing nor disagreeing with either side of the argument because I can relate to both sides to some degree. You do know that we are ALL human beings playing right? If the killer has the right to play how he wants (toxic or not) the survivor does as well whether that be flashlighting or just doing gens. It’s not JUST the killer that has the right to play how they want. The survivors are not entitled to make YOUR game fun as the same goes for the killer side. That’s why both sides get butthurt over certain things happening in their rounds. I don’t condone toxic players but any player can play how they want to as long as the aren’t breaking any rules.
And talking about facts vs emotions…
The difference is that all the stuff I am "complaining" are not about "survivor just play the way they want", I "complain" about BALANCE.
Of course survivor will use the best and most efficient tactics and perks, but those are just plain out of balance, since the whole gamebalance is tilted towards survivor (at least if they don't play like complete brainless noobs).
Survivor here in the forum on the other hand want balanced stuff nerfed, because they "feel" it is "unfair" or they are "annoyed" by those tactics. In most cases there is already possible countertactics available, but they do not want to use those. They just want the killer to get FORCED to play in a certain way, they prefer.
That's what I constantly call the survivorlogic or doublestandards.
Those complains are only similar on the surface, but if you take a look at them without the biased survivor googles on, they are not.
Killer here mostly ask for BALANCE and survivor ask for more crutches, safety nets, training wheels and punishments to killer for legal gameplays.
Of course some survivor will pop up now and call the complete opposite, what I call "balance" is just the demand for "ez 4k every game", but I think anybody actually playing the game on both sides should be able to see the true missbalance of the game. At least if they ever play past the mid ranks. And IF they play killer and actually try to get kills and not just entertain their fellow survivor (aka killvivor).
Also their will come some "killer mains" claiming that killer is easy and they get 4k constantly vs full SWF at rank 1... yea.. sure… IF they are that good, enjoy. Do I believe all these people…? Not so much. -

You are NOT suposed to counter everything with perks. Create a build around your weaknesses/necessities and use the skills to deal with the rest, THAT IS THE POINT OF BUILDS.
Now i see you've been playing this game in the wrong way and i understand why you complain so much.Don't assume to know anything about how I play.
Just because I explain the flaws of the gamedesign doesn't mean I have to play like a dork.
Your only defense is claiming that someone is playing bad, but you ignore to address the true issues (flawed gamedesign). -

Especially Warlock, because a legit balanced situational strength of a specific killer is not a "rigged game", but in a gameenviroment with a flawed timemanagement created by the Devs, 4 toolboxes totally tipp of the balance of a game that can already be gen rushed in less than 4 minutes even without any items.
Your comparing apples and oranges here.
But same is true for Vietfox by going the old "bring x" perk to counter something route. There are only 4 perk slots and there is to much badly designed things that cause issues. You cannot just dismiss these systemic shortcomings of the gamedesign by just saying "bring perk x".
@Wolf74
Certain pink addons for killers usually don't provide a balanced game to survivors either, but you won't see me crying about that, i just deal with it.
Some killers manage to do well without dodging, why can't you?
I admit that this game needs some tweaks, but you complain about almost everything and that makes me think that you are not good enough at this game, sorry.
I'm sure many other killer mains can tell you the same, that the game is not that imbalamced. Some survivor can play without SC? Why can't the rest?
Some survivor can play without DS? Why can't the rest?
Shall I go on?
What kind of an argument is that?

It seemed good on paper, but in practice it makes the Legion worthless. This will be the first DLC I won't buy until the Legion sees some changes.
I would be completely fine with skipping another killer, but the deep wound also affects BT and thats a big issue if you ask me. And in the same patch we wont be able to detect SWF anymore.
I predict some very unfun games for both sides......
100% right. I have no clue why the Devs rebuff BT again.
Giving the survivor more tools to pull off bad unhooks will not "solve" camping.Give the killer a good reason to leave the hook, like a permanent action speed penalty for each time they got hooked. So the once hooked survivor would be less of a threat to the objectives and it would be more viable to spread out the hooks among the team to get the debuffs.
THAT would help versus "camping".
You just want killer buffs for ez 4ks, classic killer main :sarcastic:
Might sound ridiculous, but thats the reason why we will never get sth like this sadly

It's funny because they make fun of survivors and their made up rules, WHICH IS PERFECTLY FINE AND I UNDERSTAND IT, but every time they dodge for stuff like that they are playing with their own made up rules as well.Because it is unbalanced.
Why should I start a rigged game?
Survivor are already to strong and multiple toolboxes make gen rush just worth.
The new graphics will buff ninja-claudie, so why should I accept that?
The survivor made up rules are about balanced things they don't like. -
The problem with DS is, it is a FORCE MULTIPIER.
Bad player do not get much out of it. They either can't even hit the skillcheck or get downed again pretty fast.
Good player on the other hand gain a HUGE advantage from it. They hit the skillcheck anyway, even when affected by madness and UP, and they are hard to catch in the first place, either they can loop like crazy or even lose the killer and heal up again. That's the flaw in the whole design of the perk.

I still think Legion was meant to be Ghostface, but they didn't get the Licence for the visuals.

The other 4 gremlins will patrol around the map and when they find a survivor you will be notified and you can switch to them. However they can be destroyed by shining your flashlights on them for some time. You can jump on the survivor and the survivor will have to struggle to get the gremlin off and if they do not get the gremlin off they will be downed. They attack by biting and move at 110% speed, therefore relying on their power to attack so bite is only an alternative. That would be AWESOME.^^

Survivor are alos used (and are still using) 3rd party tools to dodge specific killer player.
Also no community outcry for a banwave. -
Ghostface (Legion)
-
- That is not the "job" of the killer.
- If YOU are so godly, fine, for the rest of the 98% of all player that is not an option.
- Survivor mostly do not do that, instead they come straight to the forum to ask for punishments.

Daring to stand up for survivors here gets you so much abuse it's ridiculous.
Because there is no courage needed to "stand up" for the side that is already favored.

Oh wait... you had none, but you had insults… so you must be right by default.
Thanks for the nice conversation. Over and out.

Context matters though. If there are still 5 gens and Ruin up and you already have a hook on EVERYONE you can afford to be merciful. The problem is, too many killers are so hungry for a 4k they won't show mercy at all, even when it's pretty clear they are going to 3k/4k regardless. If the survivors are actually doing gens and totems, then it's a different story, and yes you should punish that.
How often do you see the first scenario happen?
The reality -at least in mid to high rank matches- is Ruin gone, 2 (maybe 3) gens done, first victim on the hook, disrespectful player with flashlight in your face trying to do bad bait for his buddy, who's lunchbox sticks out behind a tree. -

Simply because it's near 100% usage. If they took the stats of the games of those who own LF, I bet they'll find that they use BBQ near 100% or at same rate as SC. The aura reading isn't perfect, but the 2x BP is necessary for killer because many killers must use add-ons to be viable.
Can you back that claim up with some facts?
Last time the Devs showed stats about perk usage on stream NO OTHER perk was anywhere near the usage of Self Care.
No not even Ruin and BBQ could get close to that level.
Ruin and BBQ are closer to SB and DS.
Self Care reigns supreme among all perks with 85% of all survivor using it (including all the low ranks that not yet have it unlocked). So asking for the most overused perk to become a default feature is pretty bold (biased).
Especially since this perk is at least grindable. It is a teachable from an original survivor that you do not need to pay for.
Ruin and BBQ are teachables from DLC and need to get bought and are even more hard to get than just SC. -

Oh ok then.
Well survivors bought the game to play it and enjoy it too. Maybe you lot could stop crying for nerfs every 5 minutes to ruin their enjoyment of the game.
Who are you to dictate how strong/weak each side should be?
Oh and stop crying about SWF flashlights, bodyblocking and teabagging. Who are you to tell them how to play?
Erm… but wait a minute… isn't that exactly what you are doing all the time?
Ignoring that killer player bought the game also and play to have fun?
Ask for killer nerfs constantly?
Judging how the game should get balanced and how others should be allowed to play? -

They probably thought it would be too powerful. Legion can hit survivors all day long with his ability so I can imagine that they thought he'd be seeing NC auras left and right if lots of pressure is applied. He then could bait survivors into stopping the healing and start the timer or he can rush in and get a hit. I still don't think that'll make him strong enough to compete with other killers, especially that his potential would lie in a perk. Thanks, you exactly described how the Legion SHOULD work.
Of course from a killer perspective.
Killer player want killer that can actually do their job and KILL.
But the Devs created Legion to entertain the survivor.
So killer player will buy -with money or shards- something that is not "made for them", but is "advertised" as it.
Legion will be the perfect "killvivor" (survivor that play killer sometimes and just play how they want the killer to play). -

Seriously.
If the game isn't lagging unbearably then it's just a tunnel fest. Before you cry "w3lL dun get c@Ught lol" they stil tunnel other survivors to death. You get penalized if you don't unhook. Plus its not nice to leave someone on the hook. But you have to. Because every killer walks a little bit away from the hook then quickly runs back to tunnel the unhooked guy before he can get away. Game after game after game this is the strategy of every 9 out of 10 killers. Its absolutely awful for the person being tunneled and its boring as hell for the remaining survivors. Dont give me "its a legit strategy" approach. Its garbage and has completely ruined one side kf the game.
They need to make some extreme changes to make this playable again. Its only worth it in SWF or playing killer now.
The more pressure you put upon the killer, the more likely he will camp.
I am really curious whats going to happen next patch with aura removal and BT lifted to DS lvl
I was worried about survivors exploiting BT when I read about the changes. I mean I leave the hook anyway but some will rush an unhook before you even have chance to leave the area.
That said with how bad the camping is IMO, I think this had to be done. There's no way around it. At least this way the unhooked guy will have a chance to defend himself.
Huh? How bad camping is? Camping is on a historical low. It was way worse, before BBQ was released.
But now with the upcoming changes? I guarantee it won't improve, but get as bad as before BBQ existed. Can't say I didn't warn you.
I am really hyped to see the patch coming.^^
The forum will get wasted with "killer camping" complains.
And all they will do is asking for punishments to killer and we are another step closer to the Devs caving in and doing it, like degenerating bloodpoints while near the hook or some crap like that .In terms of balance we had 1 step forward and 2 steps back for almost 2 years, now we had a brief moment of 2 steps forward and only 1 step back. We killer mains really thought things will become better now, but this will knock us back a lot, because there is a rattail attached to this.
It's a ticking timebomb. -

just because a survivor farms another off a hook in front of a killer, it doesn't mean the killer must capitalize on the event. unless of course, they are desperate.
Are you serious?
You think that's how a killer should play?
Just watch the survivor make bad plays and let them get away with it?
So the survivor show no "fear"(respect?) of the killer and rescue right beside him and he should show "mercy" and let the rescued go to take on the much harder chase?
WHY?
Just to make survivor happy?
And in the end he will get tbagged at the gate and get an "gg ez baby killer" in the after match chat?? -
@Orion
Would it be ok to tag some of the typical survivor mains, so that they can join this?
Or would that be counterproductive or namecalling? -
I just copy paste my old statement about this in here.^^
Hypothesis:
Camping is unskilled and lazy.So...let's take a look at this...
The killer found a survivor, he chased him, hit him twice and carried him to the hook.
So he was better seeking than the survivor hiding. He beat the survivor in the chase, even twice, despite the survivor having a speedburst after a hit and the killer a cooldownanimation. So there was plenty of chance to run away and hide. Maybe the survivor really hided and was found again. After he downed him, he carried him to the hook, maybe the killer picked a perk in advance to ensure that, maybe he didn't have that perks, maybe he had to overcome other survivors who try to hinder him.
So...the killer did 4 skillfull actions with according selection of perks in advance and has the victim on the hook.(And the survivor didn't do that, he could have picked DS for example to counter the much hated IG)
Now he decides to guard that catch aka camp, because he thinks he "earned" that catch.
Maybe he even use it as bait on purpose.
He either "pays" for this ensured sacrifice with his most precious ressource: time. Or he might have to fight of wannabe rescuers.Still survivors call that "unskilled and lazy".
Because they only take a snapshot of the situation and that is AFTER the killer did all the work (search, chase, carry). And obviously ignoring further work, like fighting of rescuers.
(Not even considering nearby patrol and damaging gens or setting traps or signs of survivors nearby.)They failed several chances to avoid getting caught. They failed hiding, juking, wiggling and no one rescued during the carry. No one interfered during the chase, by distracting the killer to give their teammate a chance to heal up- or maybe they did and he got caught anyway. And he still pays for camping by spending time. And remember, (almost) any "camper" can be beaten.. Anything is possible to rescue. But the team was unable to do it or not willing to take the effort and risk.
In my opinion it's a cheap way of trying to shame killer into a survivorfavorable behaviour to imply to them that their tactic is "unskilled and lazy". This form of peer pressure through stigmatisation of a functional tactic doesn't need any ingame skill.
