From my experience NOED is very rarely used at red ranks. It's useful only to get a down in the endgame, rarely it's gamechanging.
I think the problem people have with the perk is that in lower ranks it rewards campers, which could be solved by making it so only survivors who have been hooked at least once get exposed.
-
I'd like to add that the killer instinct effect when Victor is idle shouldn't start as soon as you switch to Charlotte, but should have a "charging up" period. Currently you can go around with Victor and keep switching back and forth to pinpoint survivors position without much counterplay.
-
Back up a little, Victor needs a couple meters to reach maximum height. Looking up helps too.
-
considering he is a not very good killer
He's actually quite good. Still I'd love QoL changes such as the first one you suggested.
-
Only works on solo repairs.
-
Two words: Devour Hope.
-
Wraith is mechanically simple but with a lot of versatility. He's definetly an underrated killer.
-
Aside from the fact that Legion and Deathslinger would just ignore exhaustion perks, what would this achieve aside from making tunneling people off hooks easier in the case of BT?
Overall seems a bad idea.
-
I don't think there are other ways. I wish they made a proper toggle option because it made playing survivor way better, being able to relax the right hand.
-
I personally don't like this, it seems to me it would drastically reduce its usefullness.
Personally I would add just one condition to NOED: only survivors who have been hooked at least once become exposed. This way facecampers can't use it to get more unfair kills, but killers who play normally and spread their hooks would still be able to enjoy the power spike in the end.
-
A useful trick I use is to add my current level to the amount of days remaining. If the result is 70 or more I consider myself on time (since 1 level per day is a very doable target)

That is a smart point. But if a killer is going to tunnel, they are going to chase the dude off the hook. Then he jumps in a locker at 50 seconds and loops another minute. And twice a game, for each decent looper. No thanks
Yeah but the whole point is to not tunnel.
-
I love playing as her, but she's awful to play against. She's too good at camping, with very few "counters" that honestly suck (flashlights which lasts a few seconds and freaking crouching).
They should rework her to give more workarounds for survivors (like traps triggering only on running survivors and the ability to destroy traps without a flashlight) and make her traps more usable in chases/less abusable by SWF (like traps not being consumed unless the killer teleports to them, so they are more likely to activate during a chase, when you need them more)

Hard No.
If you are a ######### looper, I understand why you feel this way. But that would be way too strong on competent loopers.
Just save it for after second hook and hope the gens are done by then.
I like to think of it this way. If you're getting tunneled every hook, do you really want to stay longer in that match anyway?
Why would that help loopers at all? There is no point in chasing someone who can't do anything for one minute...

DbD is already very Lovecraftian, I'm actually surprised not many realize it (judging by the comments).
After all the game is all about the Entity which is an alien omnipotent being which lives off suffering and induces people to madness all around the worlds/times. Now they are even going on the route of cults and secret societies investigating the Entity... The Blight and Felix/Elodie stories are as close as they could be to a Lovecraft story.
That said, I doubt we're likely to see something from the Lovecraft universe for the very reason that the game is heavily inspired by it. It's more likely they'll do they their own version.

Talking about the Originals and Only originals its 10/7 10 females 7 males with is (Including Lisa and Cybil would be 15) 13/12 so its been even since Elodie came into the game but they still release more
its not about making it even its that females are more popular than males so they put their time into them more why do you think Cheryl is here and not James even though Pyramid Head was in James Version of Silent Hill so she has never seen him before
If you take in consideration all survivors, with Elodie they reached a 1:1 ratio. Considering the next survivor is female it's safe to assume in the next months we will see a new male survivor.
-
Yeah why not. As long as it interesting and fun.
-
The Nurse doesn't "mindgame" by standing still. As broken as the Nurse can be, when you get hit you can always think of how you could have played it differently. With the Spirit most of the times you have the feeling that what you did didn't even matter because it was all based on chance.
-
It would definetly be a fun addition. The only problem I see balance-wise is that aiming your attack at an higher angle could give you a lot more range and/or allow to jump over loops, completely changing Demo's playstyle. Victor has a similar ability but if he makes a mistake he gets kicked or he straight up disappear (if he lands on high ground), so I don't see how that could translate to the Demogorgon.
-
Personally I like darker maps more.
-
a vast majority of us feel like this new addition to DBD is what we might call, uninspired
You shouldn't talk for other people. I actually like his design which is anything but uninspired.

This is a game where sexual orientation is barely mentioned and I can't think of any relationship aside from that between Frank and Julie. For all we know every (non-licensed) survivor could be gay, that's completely up to the player to decide. Unless the sexual orientation of a character is functional to ther lore/persona, it could feel forced and out of place.
Besides, you don't fight homophobia by shoving homosexualy down the throat of homophobes. If anything that would push them even more away.
-
I hate Ghostface's reveal mechanic and its jankyness.
-
Nothing against FNAF fans, but it's funny how you guys want so much a FNAF chapter.
-
If it resetted when healed the perk would be very useful, I'd even shorten the timer to 90-120s.
I don't think it would be a problem if comboed with Iron Will, since that wouldn't just make survivors invisible.
-
Question: why would DbD get a FNAF chapter right as a new FNAF game is coming out?
-
I kinda like the overheat mechanic. Could be a little less punishing though.
-
Facecamping is a problem by itself, it won't be solved by nerfing Leatherface. And the solution is in the survivors' hands: if they stopped feeding facecampers with free kills and just gen rushed, facecamping would be less inviting. Unfortunately after almost 5 years it's still not clear to most people.
-
That would be nice, but they should make the PTB a different app than the live one like many games do. I wouldn't want to keep switching between live and PTB since each switch requires to download several GBs.
-
His desing is actually great, he looks sordid and malevolent. The first time I saw him my first reaction was repulsion.

Also this.

I feel the screen is more cluttered than before
-
I agree, I'd rather have fluent and nice animations than 360s (which don't even work 99% of the time).
-
Against a facecamping Bubba leaving and not giving him extra kills is the best thing you can do
-
My main complaint about NOED is that it counters the counter to hard camping, which is doing gens, thus promoting unhealthy gameplay. If it had the condition that only survivors who have been hooked at least once get the exposed status effect it would still be very good in the end game (since during normal gameplay it's very rare to not hook every survivor once), but facecamping Bubbas can't use it to get some easy kills.
-
Take the addons that make him kick things and vault much faster for example, what is the point of that if you can only do it when you are cloaked?
Hey, Shadow Dance addons are amazing. Only thing I'd change about them is to allow the effect to persist for a couple seconds after uncloaking, then they'd be perfect.
With all the rest, I agree. Without exposing perks like MYC Wraith struggles a bit (at least with my playstyle). He's great at getting the first hit, but the second can be a pain. The post-cloak boost can be used sure, but it's not that common to find a suitable loop for that (the recent buff helped with that, though). And that's ok, not every killer should be chase-oriented, but without Windstorm he definetly lacks the map pressure he needs. Just to clarify though, I think his yellow one should be base-kit, not more. The rarer ones can be very useful in chases.
Oh, btw, why nobody ever talks about his Blink addons? They are the most useless addons since they shorten an already quick animation that doesn't even slow you down. They should definetly be completely reworked imo.
-
Doubt it. DS is getting changed because people are (ab)using it outside its intended use. Dead Hard on the other hand is used to dodge a hit or get that little push to reach an objective, which is it's purpose.
-
It's a nice perk to have, it saves you the time needed to kick multiple gens and gives a bit of info and gen regression. Hardly a game changer, but still nice to have.
-
Head On doesn't have infinite uses, it has a cooldown. I really doubt you can't down someone because of that perk.
In any case, the perk is easily counterable using fakes to bait the survivor to jump out.
-
If it was that easy they probably would have done it already...
-
That's the point...
-
His slowing gas wasn't changed at all.

Huntress wins on brute force, yes. But what people seems to forget is that Deathslinger doesn't have the brain of a mentally underdeveloped 5 year old girl.
The guy's in fact, a total genius. Pretty sure he would find a way to outsmart her easily. Raw power isn't everything in a fight.
And regarding the huntress tome video, I'd doubt Deathslinger's tactic would be to just brainlessly run at her and get beaten to death like those soldiers did. Nobody would truly behave like that.
Her lore never implies she has the mind of a little girl, I think that is a belief born withing the community. On the contrary the fact she lived alone in a forest implies she is quite resourceful beside being a very skilled huntress. Sure she might be uneducated, but that doesn't make her stupid.
-
Does it really matter? Imo it's to each their own, I usually find killer easier than solo survivor, but I have no doubt others might feel the opposite way.
-
Always keep in mind that this game is just that, a game. It's not important in your life, and when things don't go right it has absolutely no consequences. The whole point is having fun, if you feel you're not having fun it's ok to stop playing, don't try again in the hope of a good match.
-
I'm avoiding playing survivor, simple as that.
-
You don't have to play the game at all costs, you can just wait till they fix the problems.
-
I disagree. Having good timing for pallet/flashlight saves is part of the skillset of a good survivor, removing that would reduce the skill ceiling for survivors.
Plus it was already tested once and it felt terrible, both for a balance reason (being downed under a pallet meant you couldn't be hooked) and for aesthetic reasons (the killer would drop the survivor up to 2 seconds later of being actually stunned because the whole pick up animation had to play).
-
Oh, and give them some extra generators so that the killer can't just stand at one and block it
Lol I stopped reading at this...
