Do you just show up in any thread and try to complain about tunneling and camping? Literally every reply I see from you is you trying to blame the thread topic on tunneling and camping.
Do you just show up to make pointless snarky comments?

Is it worth running both tinkerer and discordance? Feel like swapping one out would make a better build tbh

I don't think the DS change affected the amount of campers or tunnelers. It only feels like more killers are tunneling because survivors have 1 less second chance perk.
Nah, there was definitely a big increase in tunnelling. And before killers if they killed someone after being unhooked, they’d respect the DS, now they almost never do. The game feels much nastier than it did before.
-
DS was OP, and needed nerfed, but unfortunately the nerf made the game much less healthy. Tunnelling and camping has skyrocketed.

Most ranged killers easily can
Trickster doesn’t have any cooldown like them though

@Northener1907 said:
Trickster needs cheap tactics because he is so bad killer in game. Even with buffs, he is still joke. He can not win without camp or tunnel.
I saw some really good Tricksters, they played so well but still half of team escaped. This explain everything about Trickster. This was mistake, he never would join game.
He’s terrible, not sure why we needed another range killer

Saloon is so absurdly easy as killer that I feel like an ass for winning
the 3-gens are so tight I can stand in one spot and have full visual on them
Yeah, I agree, most killer sided map in the game. When I was a killer main, I’d win every time because the gen spread is hilariously bad.

This is giving me yet more reasons as to why map offerings should be removed because I despise that build.
+1 camping scratched mirror Myers on an indoor map is cringe

I would enjoy seeing Saloon get yeeted.
Yes please, what a horrible map. Breakable walls every corner, exclusively unsafe pallets, half the map is a dead zone, bad gen placements, etc. Awful map

I am sure you will not like my Myers build too :) But if i see in your fog when i play with one of the my killers, i will give you hatch.
Nah Myers can use whatever they want other than tombstone, they need help

I much prefer the idea of just deleting all map offerings in general. ######### that one double range Nurse on Saloon with Infectious, and ######### the quad Balanced Landing SWF on Haddonfield.
While we're at it, we can delete Haddonfield, Midwich, Saloon, RPD, etc, and just pretend nobody will notice.
Yeah I wouldn’t mind it, although I kinda just want Macmillan every game tbh, sans ######### woods

There is so much killers, i am not only Freddy main. Nemesis, Blight my other mains. Also i love play as Myers, GF, Trapper sometimes.
But maybe you will surprise but i don't like hex perks so much. Because they are spawning so bad. I love Pop more than Ruin on Blight. But Tinkerer is my main perk for him, other 3 perks changing except Tinkerer. Because Tinkerer is really working so good on Blight.
Hopefully it’s working so good that it’ll be seeing a nerf soon ;)
I love some Myers, let’s go against each other sometime

No we are not. We are just using good perks on our killer.
So are every other killer and survivor, but they still have much more variety. Besides, I thought you were a Freddy main?

Given the player count
Which is unknown, except on Steam.
when you’re looking exclusively at red rank
Another unknown.
and how people can encounter the same players fairly often
100% subjective. "Twice per week" is "fairly often" for some people.
300 is a sufficient sample size.
Impossible to know because we have no data on the number of players at each rank. They also come from the same region: whatever Azhymovs' region is (or close to it).
Doesn’t matter that it’s impossible to know, regardless of what the exact figure is, 300 + personal experience here on the thread is good enough considering this isn’t a scientific experiment.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2380660#Comment_2380660
They use 10,000 people as a sample of millions at times
Yes, by looking for people with specific characteristics, based on statistical data of the total population they're looking for, and applying a lot of math to make sure the data set is statistically significant. I highly doubt Azhymovs did all that.
this is not at all low for the amount of players at red rank.
How do you know how many there are?
Given the player count, when you’re looking exclusively at red rank, and how people can encounter the same players fairly often, 300 is a sufficient sample size. Also, it lines up perfectly with what most people in the thread have said, that they hardly ever see keys.

Right now?
With a 43% chance to just not be able to lose?
YES.
VERY.
No, not at all, once in 20 games, and that might be generous
-
I mean maybe the killer shouldn’t run back to every hook despite having 7000 information perks? Boring for everyone involved
-
Wraith or Bubba, hold w and you can do well, very simple killers
-
Points, give teammates a chance to open the other door, no reason to leave.
I’ve pipped before because of the emblem progress waiting at the gate.
-
@Bard said:
The problem isn't people bringing keys.
If a killer sees that, they will leave the lobby. Even if it's last second, they'll bring out the task manager.
The problem is people finding them.
If you're running Plunderer's and Appraisal, you've got a 43% chance of finding at least one usable key, which means you just win even if you give the killer the most unbeatable gen setup.
Yeah because chest builds are incredibly common
-
@Kebek said:
Then nobody will mind if we nerf the ######### out of this busted "underused" item and rework it into something fun and fair.
If you all keep saying that you rarely see keys used or work why make posts that suggest you don't want them changed.
They're dumb just like old mories were, they need a changes asap.
Yes, nobody here cares. Never use them so I really don’t see it impacting me
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
At this moment there are 57000 players on steam
That's 11400 games that could be played at this moment.
Even if 75% are in lobby right now that's 2850 games being played
At this one instance in time. Almost 10 times as much as your sample.
With only the pc players.
This means nothing.
That said yes the overal key use is not that common. Does not make them okay though
They use 10,000 people as a sample of millions at times, this is not at all low for the amount of players at red rank.

Same here, hardly ever see them as either role, most likely due to people understanding how broken they can be. The community isn't as heartless as we may think sometimes.
Yeah, I think people on here tend to exaggerate somewhat as to how common they, as well as deathsquad SWFs are.

Little iffy on Tinkerer while it is devastating on say Billy or Blight best mobility killers in the game. With perks. It needs other perks for true devastation one of them gone quite quickly. As well, it’s meh on 4.6 killers and garbage on 4.4 killers.
It doesn’t matter ultimately, the blight mains have ruined the perk.

I mean agree it is strong but its definatly not op or the top perk, it can be very easily countered, maybe you never really played against decent survivors who do that but only cuz you never meet them doesnt make this perk godly you know.
Let’s hear about this magical counter to stop tinkerer from activating, I’d love to hear this

You spread on gens. Done.
There is absolutely nothing a killer can do against 3 Tinkerer procs at the same time. He can get one of you, if he is lucky.
Omg great advice, I’ll just tell my solo queue teammates to do that…

Just like everyone else here pointed out, Tinkerer is not that good. First of all, it still has the same flaw that its very first version had: not every killer can use it. Not to mention that the perk by itself does nothing except giving you information.
And besides, once survivors realize that you have it, it is very easy to play around it.
Tinkerer is not the best perk in the game. It never was.
You can not play around tinkerer, it activates with no if, or buts. It’s not like discordance, BBQ, etc where there is counter, there is none.

You hate this perk because of Blight, are not you? 🙃
No, I hate that all blight’s use it, not on him specifically. It’s much worse on Nurse, although they rarely seem them to use, tinkerer nurse who is good is gg
-
Because blight mains are arguably the most sweaty of all
-
@GeneralV said:
Honestly that is a pretty reasonable list, though I would say you've underrated PWYF and Coulrophobia, and overrated Tinkerer.
Tinkerer is easily #1, no other perk in the game handholds a player in the game as much as it does.
-
@Northener1907 said:
Tinkerer best killer perk? Lol
It’s not the best killer perk, it’s the best perk in the game period
-
@Trickstaaaaa said:
Tinker is an A at best since it won't work with killers such as huntress. If anything ruin is S tier since it works with any killer.
I’m not ranking as an average on all killers
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
No Way Out, Haunted Grounds and Enduring are overrated here, those should drop a tier. And PWYF is a solid B, it's amazing on Ghostface and Wraith.
I also agree that Tinkerer was overbuffed.
But does wraith really need the extra 15% now? I don’t think so.
I still think haunted is fine where it is, as if you give on average 1 down because of it per game + time wasted, it’s getting value.
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
PWYF is not terrible, IMO. Its really good on some killers.
I just don’t think it’s favoured in the current meta at all, cannibal doesn’t need it anymore, and neither does wraith

The buff didn’t impact keys at all, only hurt people with medkits and flashlights.

Why are the twins even an option?

do you really need a escape? This game would be much better if the last survivors wouldnt hide 20 minutes to battle out for the hatch.
Moot point as I never do that. Escaping is the same as 3k, which is the same as 4k, they are all equal.

Well billy can still m1 and what about bubba? Myers can’t chew thru pallets like the chainsaw bros, you ever tried looping any m1 killer? Just predrop pallets and hold w for the win. What make m1 easier than a chainsaw that can hit across map like billy, or able to down multiple survivors in one sweep like bubba? Please tell me why you think m1 killers are hard to play against?
I don’t, just answering the question of the thread, why ‘some’ people think it’s OP

The kill is basically ours. Why do we have to forfeit it so that the last survivor can get a free escape?
So the game doesn’t last 30 minutes, it’s silly

Get rid of the tombstone add ons and buff /rework everything else. This horror icon deserves better, considering he’s more iconic than the other licensed villains ;)

How dare people try to win?
Is it really a big deal if Survivors don't get to open the Exit Gates? Like, the game would be so much better if Survivors didn't try to win.
Your conclusion is correct but your argument is weak.
3k is still a win objectively, the difference between 3 kills and 4 is so minuscule that leaving someone bleeding out to kill everyone is pretty pointless and petty.

What does holding the game hostage have to do with DCing for hatch?
Oh, were you trying to imply that slugging 'holds the game hostage', simply because you dislike the tactic or, heaven forbid, a Killer do it to try finding the 4th Survivor. How adorable!
You pretend a Killer using mechanics to attempt to kill a Survivor is somehow against the rules, like all Survivor mains! How cute. 🙄
I know, I know; Killers should NEVER go for 4 Kills! It's 'sweaty' and 'tryhard' and 'whatever other BS Survivors invent to whine about'! They should ALWAYS let the 4th Survivor go! Funny has it never works in reverse; Survivors are never 'supposed to' give Killers a kill instead of escaping.
But back on point, before you tried to throw a false equivalency in there; DCing for hatch is cheating. Slugging is not. Oh well! 😂
No, they can try go for the 4k, but they can do so without leaving someone bleeding out on the floor for half an hour. Had a game today where I was slugged about 4 separate times when there two of us left, at a certain point just hook one person.
-
@Power_Guy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2377508#Comment_2377508
Yes, because it's cheating. You claiming a Killer should not try for the 4K or, the usual Survivor BS 'Be happy with the 3K' is beside the point.
The hatch should not open, if the DC would open it. The remaining Survivors will need a key, or need to pop a gen. That simple; DC can't open hatch.
And holding the game hostage is also against the rules, but it doesn’t stop most killers from doubling the time the game should be
