Survivors complain about Killers doing Killer things they don't like: "Why does BHVR allow this? I'm leaving for four months!"
Killers complain about Survivors doing Survivor things they don't like: "It's part of the game, brah. Raging about it? You need therapy!"

Your post is nothing but speculation with zero evidence to support it. Your only claim is "they havent changed it yet, so they probably never will" holds no value when you look at how long it took them to fix DS. Keep in mind they announced things they were going to change and they did but it still took them years to do it. How long were they preaching servers until they finally got here.
Decisive Strike has changed SEVEN TIMES.
Dead Hard has only changed three times, two of which were just graphical adjustments and the one was just the hit validation buff.
They are NOT the same.

Oh, are killers moving onto the "Survivors are deliberately trying to kill people irl" as for the reason survivors flashlight click? lmao
It's on the person with epilepsy to avoid things that can cause seizures, should the game have a warning? Absolutely, are you going to guilt trip me into not using fire crackers and flashlights because people are playing something their doctor would likely recommend against playing? Not at all.
Depends. Are you using the flashlight for a blind to save, or are you using it to macro 15 clicks/second? Cause it is the latter that is the causing the problems.

Virtually the only fun I have in this game is going against good survivors that know how to run / loop. I'd rather spend a single match trying to catch a really good survivor than roll over 4 potatoes without effort. I don't even care if it costs me the game, because going against good players is how I myself get better too. So these "juicers" you talk about are actually my favourite survivors, because they give me a good challenge and a good game, regardless of how the game tells me I did at the end. I wish there were more competent survivors who know when and where to loop, because it's mad fun trying to catch 'em.
Also, the game already has a stamina system in place. We don't call it stamina, we call it exhaustion, but same concept. I think another stamina system on top of that would be seriously detrimental for the game. Just imagine you have a teammate hooked across a huge-a*s map, and you need to run across it to save the guy. Great, you're three quarters of the way to the hook and now you can't run anymore. You rescue the guy, but now you can't run away when the killer inevitably comes back to the hook. That seems like a poorly thought out idea.
From the wiki:
Fatigued Running; 3.5 m/s; 87.5 %
The "Fatigued Running" is an unused Movement speed variable in Survivors.
The code specifying this variable mentions a stamina system that would go alongside this variable, indicating that at some point during Development, Survivors were not supposed to be able constantly run at full speed.
At one point this was tried out, and it turned out that it wasn't such a great idea after all, and the whole thing scrapped.
Yeah, there is a Stamina bar in Friday the 13th, along with other atmospheric factors like Fear and stumbling and broken twigs. The difference is that it works there because you have other means of defending yourself. The F13 equivalent of a pallet takes many hits to break, and you can arm yourself with everything from baseball bats to flare guns.
Here running is your primary defense. Take that away and people just die.

That's a chance you took when you ran Devour Hope. That's a chance you take when you run any Hex perk.
If you're only camping for the reasons you stated, you really have your strategy on lock. Good job. You're probably really good at pressuring gens in the 70% you leave the hook. This is not intended to be sarcasm.
I think I misspoke. I am not saying Devour Hope is bad, I'm saying Devour Hope was made to tell Killers "JUST LEAVE! GO CHASE!", but then it gets blown up and you are like "Well.... this dude is like 8 seconds from stage 2.... might as well save myself a whole chase".
But thank you for understanding. :)

But did you get any better? Losing doesn't transfer from match to match. Because it sounds like you don't need to practice your macro decisions.
The way the game is set up right now, I am not incentivized. There is little reason to leave a hook in about 30% of instances. If they are within 15 seconds of a new hook state, or it is endgame, or there's a bunch of slugs, it is in my best interest to say "Nah, screw the map mobility".
In an era where Devour Hope lasts about a minute before it turns into a Boon totem "leave the hook and just go chase" is Survivor Rulebook bullcrap.

Not everyone runs META perks dude. And if you're getting juiced, get good. Barring dead hard. You can't beat that one.
DEAD HARD | BORROWED TIME | IRON WILL | UNBREAKABLE
IRON WILL | CIRCLE OF HEALING | DEAD HARD | BORROWED TIME
UNBREAKABLE | DEAD HARD | BORROWED TIME | DECISIVE STRIKE
BORROWED TIME | DECISIVE STRIKE | DEAD HARD | IRON WILL
"get good", he says.
Or I can make the dude die and drop the enemy team by 25%. 5head.
-
I don't care how fast my Killer is. If my options are secure my kill, or let you get a free unhook while I get juiced by meta perks for the next two minutes, I know which choice I am making.

It's totally different. If he is on hook, the killer is not camping and no one is even attempting a save why should he be obliged to hold on that little bit longer? Honestly, why?
1.) Because you are sandbagging your teammate.
2.) Because you are quitting.
3.) Because you are screwing yourself out of bloodpoints.
It is so weird to me that if a Killer does ANYTHING but play the game by the Rulebook, they are screamed at to "just play normally!" but Survivors think that playing normally for themselves literally includes suicide on hook.

True but is a crappy first line of defense, its like saying since barbed wire is the first line of defense your machine guns and tanks after the barbed wire should shoot peas instead of bullets, i mean, you have that first line of defense why do you need anything else?.
As people have already said, BHVR nerfed stealth to the ground, maps are very bright, dark clothes were made brighter, fog got reduced (new and reworked maps barely have any fog at all), solid, high walls are almost non existant, plenty detection perks, newer Survivors are louder than ever and on top of that you can use filters so everything is even easier to discern.
My point is that it is an often overlooked thing when so many Survivors literally run into the Killer on purpose to get into a chase. The game is not meant to be played that way by the devs own admission. So doing that and then crying about map resources as a "primary means of defense" is backwards thinking and not the intended game design.

I would argue that it would be faster to do while being chased in real life than in the game because VCRs will just suck in the tape once you push it in far enough. :P
You sound like you have clearly never broken and jammed a VCR tape for trying to shove it in too hard.

To be fair, how hard is it to put a video tape in a VCR? I get that we're well past that ere, but still. :P
I would say it's extremely hard to do while in a full run with a killer trying to murder you at your heels.
-
I have been facecamped exactly ONCE in the last month of games.
Where do you people keep finding these facecampers? Even the last 5 Bubbas I faced didn't facecamp.
-
So you are okay being THAT guy.
This is no better than those DC on first hook people.
-
Killer can be unfun, but it is not because killers are not "strong enough".
Fun is not always about winning and losing. I can win and still come away feeling like garbage. The problem is the things that survivors do for fun exist solely to make the killer as miserable as possible. That TTV squad laughing over the head on into the flashbang into the flashlight is making another human being consider uninstalling.
It's not a "git gud" issue. It's the fact there is very little the killer has going for them that is entertaining.

"AFK" isn't even correct anyway, they are just camping the box while pretending to be AFK.
I want a direct citation and source from the developers in which this game has ever been declared a "party game".

I've kind of felt that myself, but then I haven't played her much.
I just wish BHVR would make a statement. I don't care which. Just tell me if I am screwed cause they input some untrackable timer ("You have 30 seconds to get the Mori or the Survivor recovers"), or come out and state it is an unintentional bug.

CoH and Dead Hard.
I am outplaying survivor, Dead Hard saves them. And now they have strong spot and what i can do as m1 killer here? Nothing.
I am hitting all survivors for making pressure on them. Y'know she is hit and leave type killer. But then someone blessing CoH. After this good luck to pressure on them.
Seriously i hate this 2 perks so much. If half of killers are unplayable reason is this 2 perks. Dead Hard hit validation and CoH was biggest mistakes ever. I can not wait to see this 2 perks finally balanced.
I can get around Circle of Healing by just committing to chases.
Dead Hard is broken beyond reason and there's no counterplay ever since Killer-based Exhaustion effects were nerfed to a pathetic 5 seconds.

I think that how much "suck" is left on a Survivor should regenerate over time. Like maybe 1 second of stalk every 10 seconds.
-
It's because Clown is super OP and Blight is one of the most balanced killers in the game, brah. /s

I think you do not understand how many Survivor players play this game JUST to get into chases and "juice the killer".
You add a limitation to that, and you will have the Survivor population nosedive.
-
Blight is the one killer in the game I want deleted.
I have no idea how people consider this killer balanced in any way.

literally half of my survivor games are against nemesis. this killer is so boring to play against, as long as the nemesis is decent then you just can’t loop him on most tiles. i mean i’m not complaining but the fact that so many killers love using this boring ass killer just never makes me want to play survivor.
You answered your own question.
Killer Mains are sick and tired of being looped to death. Nemesis lets them punish window and pallet animations. The same thing you think is "boring" is how they have fun playing the game.

Being unable to hook =/= being unable to play. It is admittedly close to a gray zone, if the entire team stops progressing the game in order to stall you, but sometimes, that can be the right play to do from a team. Toolboxes eventually run out. I draw the line when the resource is renewable/effectively infinite. Though I would be happy to spend time hashing out exactly where this line should be drawn.
There is absolutely nothing gray area about it.
The Killer is trying to do his objective. You came in with the precise goal of avoiding yours JUST to troll him.
BULLY. SQUAD.

I can think of a very strong healing perk that got released that gives no excuse for being caught out injured
Assuming he lets you put it up in the first place, or lets you finish the heal. Since, again, he can cross the map rapidly. And has lots of ways to read auras.

@CharlieChatBox said:
Even if you just do the gens, it doesn't change their behavior. They still won, because they still got the kill. And for some, getting that kill or shitting on that other guy's fun is all that matters. Unfortunately, unless you make it literally impossible, people will camp. People are not rational, and input x does not result in input y with most people. Spite is incredible. We saw the lengths people were willing to go to back when Hatch standoffs were a thing.
Only way to win the game with these kinds of people is to not play.
Also, a sabo squad isn't a bully squad. They're having fun. They're trying to do other stuff than just gens and looping.
Its to another level when they stop doing gens to abuse structures (and most likely, boons), and all you can do is struggle against it or disconnect.
Deliberately making it so the Killer can't play is absolutely a bully squad.
-
I love RPD.
People hate it cause they can't do sick looping, brah.
Too bad.
-
Any Killer that isn't playing Lumberjack Simulator is good in my book. Looping the same tile over and over again is more boring than sitting on a generator.
-
I get the same ones over and over again, too.
Which I like, cause I'd rather get 4 tier ups with Myers or land 4 Hatchet hits than do something dreadful like one of those Killer dailies were I need to land 4 hits immediately after using their power within 3 seconds, or a Survivor daily to open an exit gate with a specific Survivor I hate.
-
I get facecamped maybe once a week AT MOST.
I feel like the whole "every game I get facecamped!" claim is enormously exaggerated.
And when I do get facecamped, it is often because the doors are open. In which case, I do not blame the killer for securing his kill.
-
@LeFennecFox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2845417#Comment_2845417
Yes a "free easy down" at tiles you can get the pallet down in a few seconds anyways on a m1 killer. You drop the pallet early and wraith can't do anything about it. Even better just spam vault the pallet so he can't even break it while cloaked making him waste even more time. This is ignoring the fact flashlights hard counter him and you have to play safe around them or eat a ds level stun. Don't even need to mention that most windows are a strong counter unless you dedicate bamboozle.
None of this works when the wraith decloaks on your ass on a generator without a pallet or window within 15 meters. You just die.
-
Let me see if I get this straight...
You want to nerf the only insta-down effect of a character that moves at a pathetic 110% movement speed, announces herself with a lullaby, and only gets ONE CHANCE, hit or miss? Just because she can use it at melee range?
Billy can do that, and try again if he misses. 115% speed killer.
Bubba can do that, and try again if he misses. 115% speed killer.
Ghostface can do that just by stalking you. 115% speed killer.
Myers can do that in Tier 3. 115% speed killer.
... why are we picking on Anna, again?
-

I would say they are balanced and take skill and have plenty of counter play.
What is the counterplay to a clicky macro that induces seizures?
-
Flashlights need a nerf, not a buff.
-
The guy moves at Warp 7 around the map, has sick add ons, can break pallets and generators without having to manually turn his power off, and has pretty much an automatic hit after decloaking unless the Survivor has Sprint Burst or is within 4 meters of a pallet or window.
He is totally fine.
The problem is some people confuse fine with "viable at top rated MMR like Nurse or Blight". He is at the top? No, but that doesn't mean he isn't fine.

- You don’t need to clear an entire 30k bloodweb to get two add-ons. You get more than two add-ons per bloodweb so clearing a web gives you more than one game’s worth of them
- I see at least one bloody streamer about every night or two. On top of me sometimes having that or the yellow add-on that does the same thing for my personal score.
Look, I explained in great detail why your worst case assumptions are wrong in practice and that I do, in fact, complete a bloodweb every match and have done so for quite a long time. Stop trying to tell me it’s impossible for me to play this way when I’ve been doing it for years.

I just played 8 games in a row and not one person ran any kind of BP offering of any kind.

No, honestly. When people say gameplay is that of an M1 killer, they mean someone that must chase by foot, such as Sadako. Chasing as Hag is one of the biggest mistakes you can possibly make, and therefore she is not an M1 killer on terms of when people refer to M1 killer gameplay.
That.... feels like a dumb way to describe M1 Killer. If I cannot down you with M2, then to me you are KILLING with M1, thereby making you an M1 KILLER.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2842812#Comment_2842812
When people mention M1 killers, they talk of a killer who cannot use their power to injure survivors and must chase them on foot moving at 115% speed.
That... is a weirdly unique list. So Hag is not an M1 Killer?
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2842732#Comment_2842732
No. Spirit is by definition not an M1 killer, because she doesn't chase like one. Spirit relies on her power to get hits, like Nurse, Blight, Slinger, Trickster, etc. Unlike Sadako, Myers, Wraith, all of whom play like and are M1 killers.
I thought the definition of an M1 Killer was a killer that can only cause health states by pressing M1? In which case, Spirit is absolutely an M1 Killer.

Yeah, that's not true.
The Bubba who chased you for 5 gens and downed + facecamped you with NOED is totally your fault. He just outskilled you.
Facecamping is a plague on this game. It shouldn't be in the game. Unfortunately, there is no way to remove it that doesn't also punish innocent players.
Well, he did outskill you. You had 5 gens to try to lose the killer and failed to juke him.
The issue is that a lot of players do not WANT to juke the killer. They want to stay in chase. Well, congratulations! You got it!
