Laurie is more of a lone wolf survivor
Debatable but Min so far being the only person to be described as a lone wolf both by the developers and Benedict's journal.
In fact even Ash has been called a lone wolf Survivor.
So far the only two people who have been referred to that is Min and Ash so do with that what you will
-
Feng Min because the lone wolf survivor
-
I would have preferred to have Robin considering she was the best part of season 3 but considering they started during the production of season 3 I can understand why she's not in it.
This may just be me but I really dislike the fact that we got Nancy.
I would have preferred
Barb
Joyce
Hopper
Bob
Even bloody Jonathan
Just personally because I dislike Nancy's character with a burning passion.
She was a terrible best friend in season 1 and in the grand scheme of things was borderline useless to the plot
She was a terrible girlfriend in season 2
and in season 3 you could have literally replace her character with a cardboard cut-out and lose nothing
-
Keep in mind that this was before the endgame collapse
I was crouching in a corner waiting for hatch to open only to have a billy overshoot his chainsaw not hit me but basically placed himself in the perfect distance to body block me unintentionally.
Unfortunately at the time I was injured without iron will and I was playing Min. So Mr Billy looked down and realised then he accidentally pinned me in a corner as hatch opened.
I proceeded to get a very good dose of Billy nodding then a revved chainsaw held in my face for a good 30 seconds before you finally down to me. Was then put on a hook and smack for good measure

It's the result of bad killers whining long enough to make the dev team implement cheesy fixes for their inabilities. Like medium vaults, nailing shut most of the windows, removing more and more pallets each patch, opening up all jungle gymns, introduce exhaustion, pausing when jumping from a height (which of course the killer can do without slowing down) and giving bad killers a variety of wallhack perks like chili, nurses calling etc etc etc
I'm sorry to be this guy but if you had to rely on a crap kind of pallets then you want a good survivor same goes for anybody who had to rely on the pallet vacuum before it got removed.
Also you act like perks like dark sense alert object of obsession and breakdown don't exist
-
Even though it was only for a brief period of time I still like to think back to the Instance where you could get a pallet save or a flashlight save at any stage of pick up animation.
-
I main Amanda and I can tell you I've noticed survivors with bear traps that aren't active also working on gens. And that's without me running the add-on however those survivors would do gens regardless of whether you had the add-on or not
2 minutes and 30 seconds is such a safe mark for them that they don't care if you you make the add-on part of the base kid these people will still do gens just like they did when you don't have the add-on.
That's also not counting the fact that the other survivors who don't have beer traps on usually don't care about the bear traps and will do gens anyway. Mainly because if you don't get the trap off in 2 minutes 30 seconds in their mind that's on you.
Also if they decide to do gens then now they have a ticking timer on them you could have a lot of pressure. Whilst the timer might be a safe mark for them when you yourself start to hinder their searching progress then it starts to become a problem.
That's why so many people with reverse bear trap are so quick to call tunneling or quick to jump to the point that you shouldn't be going after them because they have a trap on.
-
You do know that would still make it a better version of scratched mirror right.
-
The problem with unnerving presence is by itself it's very unreliable.
Especially when you start going up against more competent survivors the second people are decent with hitting skill checks unnerving presence unintentionally starts becoming a tool and makes getting great easier.
Even as somebody who's not 100% with skill checks I found that if I'm loving presence is around and I'm aiming for the smaller skillcheck I tend to end up hitting greats a lot more often.
That's what I most skillcheck builds will have huntress lullaby or overcharge along with it.
Literally the only killer who can run unnerving presence alone and so have devastating results is doctor and that simply because Madness skill checks compliment unnerving presence
-
I feel really interested in getting it as long as it has things that I actually want.
One thing that I really want to have is knowledge of what's going to be in all tiers of the battle pass from the beginning.
I don't want to end up buying the battle pass only to get stuff for characters I don't use making a kind of a waste of a purchase.

Yeah and being Chinese myself would love to see more stuff related to it especially with how much is possible for it! I mean a Chinese festival inspired map would be so beautiful and fun!
I don't we're going to get that much unless we get a Chinese themed killer.
The closest we have to that is the Doctor who is based on a real life Chinese doctor.
I mean the most we can currently hope for is that we might get some unique stuff with the archives that's related to Min
-
Outside of the lunar event and Feng Min there's not really that much in terms of Chinese content.
-
Literally just comes down to luck mostly you got to remember that there are more variants of the cold wind auto Havens and Macmillan than there are the other maps.
And as they said with the new map rework they're doing there going to be focusing on getting the licensed Maps out of the first considering they can't make new assets or a new map for them so making variations is how they get around that.
As for original maps they can make new unique maps and new themes for them like how Blackwater swamp the asylum and Redwoods all got new unique map with different assets for other Killers

As much as I like pyramid head as a Silent Hill fan it would annoy the hell out of me if he gets released.
Just because of how badly Silent Hill milked the hell out of a concept that was meant to be unique.
Pyramid head was literally meant to be a manifestation a specific character (James Sunderland) need for punishment.

Like I get constantly revealed behind walls as Ghostface, but apparently it's not an inconsistent problem according to some posters. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It has been stated before but just in case you guys didn't get it there is a buffer before it will stop considering ghost face in the reveal phase.
This buffer will initiate when he's about to enter the reveal phase and when he's leaving reveal phase.
This means that if a survivor is looking at ghostface for at least 1.2 he will be revealed no matter what even if he gets behind cover or even if the survivor turns away.
This is typically why ghost faces tend to get revealed behind walls or like in the video you showed ghostface got revealed even though he turned away.
While I can admit that the game is pretty buggy at some stages of the last once you know exactly how it works is really not as inconsistent as you think. A better word to describe it would be complicated very tediously complicated
https://youtu.be/DkDyYBg5oYwStart watching from 4:25.
As he does give a good summary of revealing works

Its nerfed on
T2 myers (if applicable)
ghostface
pig
wraith
freddy
Demogorgon (not a nerf, as they came with it, but still ineffective)
T2 Michael isn't stealth so it should work on him unless they changed it which I highly doubt they did
-
No one escapes death needs a doll told him to activate if there is no dull totem on the map it will not activate. Basically meaning the second the last generator pops there must be a dull totem available if there is not no one escapes will fail to activate end of story
As for haunted grounds there is no fake totems cleansing either one will proc haunted grounds leaving the other one to become a dull
If you cleanse every totem except hunting grounds since both haunted grounds totems are considered hex totems noed will not apply even if you break haunted grounds after the generators have been completed the new dull total will not turn into no one escapes death.
-
Would mess with a lot of advantages that stealth killers have if they decided to remove this from happening what make it distance-based.
For example stealth Killers are some of the only Killers who can reliably counter borrowed time.
-
Amanda's ambush just because of the retracting blade
If you're talking about generic m1 hit then I would say clown who probably has the most visually appealing m1 recovery animation after the hitting Survivor
-
@Hoodied said:
Yes, I made a post about 1 year ago about Mori animation changes
But I feel like if you are to kill the last survivor via mori, the animation is extended with a taunt at the end, for example
GhostFace will do the normal animation, but at the end it actually shows the selfie in the frame
As much as I love the idea of Amanda saying game over I doubt they could get Shawnee Smith to come in and record lines and if it's not Shawnee Smith's "game over" then it's not worth
-
@Hoodied said:
Her RBT's are okay with the proper add-ons
I rarely use her crouch as I feel like gens get done before you arrive
Use whispers with monitor and abuse trust me it helps.
Don't crouch until you see whispers activate with monitor and abuse you should have have a good 8m buffer so no one is going to hear your terror radius before it fades away.
-
it just depends on what killer you're playing.
Killers with built-in stall like Amanda don't really have to waste time with slow down perks.
Killers who Excel in the chase like nurse don't have to waste time with perks that help in the chase
Tracking perks can be strong in general regardless of the Killer.
But if you want my general opinion anything that reduces the time you spend in chases which is is the time you lose the most momentum as a killer is the best
-
when it comes to Killers that are closest to the size of survivors it would be Legion Amanda and Freddy
With Legion being the smallest followed debatably by Amanda then Freddy I haven't really tested it but I do know that those two tend to compete for the second smallest
-
Can you put it to you this way if it doesn't activate then what is to stop the last survivor from just going immersed not doing anything until the killer gets bored and disconnects.
If you had ever killed 3 people before two generators head been completed pre endgame collapse Hatch wouldn't have opened meaning the last survival would just hide instead of even just attempting to do another gen to make Hatch spawn.
This meant that if you didn't have whispers it is essentially turned into you playing an extended game of hide and seek across the whole map hoping that you're lucky enough to accidentally stumbled on them
-
Chanel Oberlin from scream queens
-
I don't see something like that the manticore ever coming in I can see them doing a werewolf, predator and worst case alien but that's probably about it you got to remember that the demogorgon is still humanoid.
-
Yeah I could definitely see people dodging lobbies because one of the team is using a perk they don't approve of.
For example dodging because somebody was running no mither

I can understand the Haddonfield complaint but what in particular is so bad about Blood lodge? From my perspective it's a very open map with huge sight lines that help the killer keep survivors under pressure.
As much as I do like open space Maps when I'm playing other Killers when you're playing a stealth killer it is literally the biggest pain to your existence.
Very open maps with limited Line of Sight lockers makes it very easy for you to to see Killers coming towards you especially when their main advantage is still be able to stealth attack.
Seeing a Wraith shimmer heading in your direction or maybe Amanda/ghostface trying to crouch around the corner is a lot easier on open maps.
-
If I remember on a stream they said they going to be prioritising licensed maps first.
As they can't make new maps within that licence but they can can make different variations.
So it's like we're going to see the Game or haddonfield get changed.
-
I really hope it's after the DLC gets released.
I've already got all the perks on the main killers and survivor I play and I'm already sitting at a million blood points.
-
Honestly when it comes to resilience the only thing needs to happen is that it should be combined with the current this isn't happening. Whilst this isn't happening gets reworked to do something else while you're injured

I tunneled them. https://clips.twitch.tv/MushyColdbloodedPidgeonSoonerLater
That's the one thing I hate about decisive strike you could literally not tunnel down and hook other people and as long as that timer is still up you're going to get punished.
Worst case scenario this even means that survivors can do things like generators and hex totems with the full knowledge that even if they mess up doing something stupid they're still going to get bailed out

If you're in red ranks using unviable killers, that's more so the issue opposed to DS being the issue in itself. If you're playing a strong, red rank SWF and using Trapper well no duh it's a problem. Against strong SWFs you need to be using top 5/6 ish killers. Great players require great killers to deal with them. And games don't end in 5 mins unless you have absolutely no gen pressure or you're playing a bad killer.
I'm sorry but the argument of play nurse or screw yourself is terrible.
You should have the freedom to play whatever kill you want without feeling like you have to go above and beyond.

Good give survivors some decent perks for a change. If killers don’t camp then the perk is useless ^
its for anti camping and I welcome it
Necessarily the killer could be no I need a hook and I could still very easily just walk by it go work on a gen that's close to the hook and then save the person later.
In fact the timer suddenly being paused is more likely to make a killer come back to the hook than anything else
-
@Zixology said:
I see so many people crying about DS being too OP still. Their only argument is that they see "every" survivor using it.
Let's think on that for a second...
DS is an anti-tunneling perk. Nothing else. So if "every" survivor is using it and you keep getting angry about that; it only means two things.
- You tend to tunnel quite often if you're hit with DS as much as you say.
- Most people tend to tunnel quite often if "every" survivor feels the need to run it.
I'm not upset when I tunnel a survivor and I get decisive striked I deserve it what annoys me is when I go do something else hook another Survivor and then come back.
See survivor working on generators or my totem pull them off only to get decisive striked in that case I didn't tell anybody but I still got punished
-
Yeah once you're going up against the doctor you pretty much have to abandon stealth for the most part.
As an anti-theft killer there's very little you could do to to avoid detection if you don't have come spirit and even then when is Clones to give him a relative idea where you are
-
Probably around the same @GrootDude .
I have all of Min's cosmetics
All of Legion's
Both of Amanda's
Half of Wraith's
And some cosmetics for the various other survivors and Killers which I get if I like the look

I'm stating that you dont even need recycle to sustain Rare addons. With Spirit you can even sustain purples as she yields so much BP and you keep getting cakes or Black Wards.
Yes that's if you only main one killer but if you frequently use several different Killers it can be very irritating to have have your blood points spread so thin.
As someone who has three primary mains.
1) Amanda
2) Legion
3) Ghostface (sorry Wraith)
I can tell you then making sure each of them are topped up on add-ons really doesn't give you much room in the space for bloodpoints.
-
Depends if I'm a killer or Survivor.
If I'm a killer just accept my role and work for our lord and saviour The Entity. Have as much fun with it as I can
If I'm a survivor then I'm probably going to lone wolf it I don't typically like interacting with people anyway so besides for the necessity of survival no reason to help or talk to others

These rules are beautiful

While you are stealthing, your team is dying. Good survivors hate stealthy players. Why? Sure, some people find it boring. But it is because you aren't really doing much to help the team. Stealth doesn't mean you played well, it just means you will be the last one alive, with fewer points in doing gens.
Stealth doesn't hinder good nurses. And I'm sure your teammates enjoy seeing you crouch around the map while they are on the hook while a different survivor is being chased because "Stealth!!!"
Sorry to be this person but crouching around the map randomly is not stealth.
If you think a stealth build is just using Urban evasion and doing nothing but crouching then you don't know what a stealth build is.
Stealth is not only about sneaking around but it's how you avoid the detection if you're caught knowing how to mind game and sneak away is one of the key components of stealth.
I'm sorry but there is a difference between playing immersed and actually playing stealthily

Aura reading perks, whispers, scratchmarks, moaning while wounded, blood pools, breathing. No stealth does not work against good Nurses, plus with the amount of map pressure she has - she can just guard gens and they will not repair themselves you know. Also stealth is not rewarded in the game at all and having 30 min match just to stealth the Nurse is not enjoyable for anyone - not for survivors and not for the killer looking for immersed players most of the match and gething nothing from it.
Ok I'm going to tell you this now stealth is not completely destroyed by Aura reading perks.
Learning how to to work around aura reading perks is a key component of stealth if you can't do that you're bad at stealth.
That's like someone saying nurses calling is overpowered and uncounterable whilst stupidly healing in the terror radius of the killer.
Hell one of the most popular aura reading killer perks BBQ and chili had multiple counters before the whole locker buff was added.
Whispers gives a general location it doesn't ping your exact location it just means that the killer is more inclined to start searching for you rather than just walking past it I didn't see you.
Moaning whilst injured I'm honestly not even going to give you the time of day with that one because iron will exists.
Also stop using it's not fun is an argument. fun is a very subjective that matter, something you find fun about playing this game is not going to be something other people find fun. We are not a hive mind just because you don't find it fun does not mean everyone must feel the same way
The nurse has probably the worst tracking capabilities in the game stealth is an option if you want to go on against her just because you don't find it fun doesn't mean it's not a counter.
When I'm a survivor I personally enjoy stealth a lot more than I enjoy being chased does that mean they're looping is now not a counter to The Killers because I don't personally find it fun

I'm sorry but I kind of stopped sympathising for solo survivors who complain about the totems after I did a couple of survivor matches just using small games to find totems.
No it is not a hard task. it is incredibly easy to do hell if they had a totem counter to a small games like thrill of the hunt has which they should it would become even easier.
-
Well I do agree that nurses extremely powerful how the hell is Stealth not counter play.
-
I'll take a bikini Min. That's all
-
Just because you could choose to work as a lone wolf does not mean they are not your team.
No matter how you look at it where are your survival is based around getting everybody out or getting just yourself out survival is still the main goal of the survivors.
Hell the best example of this is Dwight's perk quote I need you to survive so I can survive.
Whilst not work exactly together as a team the other people's survival is mutually beneficial to you.
This is what is known as an alliance and if you're in an alliance with someone you're a team.
-
Or you could you know just not try to hook save right in front of a doctor.
If they camping just do gens and if it's endgame camping leave.
The same way it sometimes it's better to let bubba have the kill
