Chucky dragging a survivor to a hook and just being in Dead By Daylight just in general.
Someone beat me to it

Hell I'm a killing me look at my post history if you don't believe it.
But spirit is legitimately the most annoying and unfun killer to go up against.
She literally has no counters.
You don't have iron will will guess what she's phasing and you can't see her or have any indication that she's on you.
She has collision whilst phasing this means that even if you do manage to successfully mind game her she could accidentally bump into you and get a successful hit because of that.
Her gameplay really isn't mind gaming.
It's not like a pig taking advantage of her Crouch and ambush at a pallet, ghostface using night shroud to hide which way he's going or a Freddy using his teleport to bait out a double back from the survivor.
Going up against spirit you literally play a guessing game and you only find out if you guessed right if you're not injured or downed afterwards.
That's not two different parties putting in the input and seen throughout plays each other like mind games meant to be in the examples I listed above. It's you rolling a die and hoping that you don't get anything above a 3.
It's not fun, it's not engaging it's simply annoying.
-
Honestly the reason I don't play Demi Logorgon that much despite it being in my top 3 favourite Killers is simply because I really don't like playing Killers that have very little control over their power.
Once my portal is down I have a very little control over exactly how useful it is in the match.
If survivors happened to finish gen in that area and my portal becomes obsolete I can't move it I have to wait for a survivor to destroy it and smart survivors won't.
That leaves shred as my only fully controllable power and just like with Amanda's ambush it's not exactly something you can force out too much. People who use Save The Best For Last and ambush or shred to hit their obsession would know sometimes it's just not worth it and forcing the alternate hit could be more detrimental than positive.
This is one of the reasons I'm not really fond of playing plague the survivors have way too much control over my power which really diminishes it's worth in my opinion

That way the morons who decide it's a good idea to farm you right in front of the killer in his terror radius.....you know don't end up getting you ######### killed because most killers just down your ass again instantly.
The amount of times this ######### happens to me even in red and purple ranks on PS4 is astounding. Truly we are among so many idiots.
I feel like what should be implemented is two separate scoring events.
1) Betrayal: if the survivor you unhook goes down before you can get your safe hook rescue bonus. You will gain the betrayal score event this will subtract your initial on hook score as well as as minus in what you would have earned for a safe hook rescue.
2) betrayed: you will gain the score bonus if you go down and are picked up before the safe hook grace period. With this you will receive the same amount of points as your rescue would have gotten if they how to achieve the safe hook rescue
There are some problems with this idea however.
Bear traps: if you step into a bear trap that kind of your own fault the person who unhooked you shouldn't be punished for that.
Trolls: a lot of people made intentionally running to the Killer to screw over the person who rescued them so they can get some points
Decisive strike: if you have to make a save attempt for example in endgame with the knowledge that the person who's being unhooked has decisive and they can get out. You really shouldn't be punished

people have told me it was October 30th to the 1st of November.
Well don't worry the event actually ends on the 13th of November so you have about 11 days left
-
You didn't miss anything the date got moved back due to the delay so you're good. Enjoy the event
-
I don't think this will stop morons doing this I think this will encourage them to do it even more because they can Farm you off hook and reliably get there safe hook rescue.
Likelihood is the killer can still just follow and hit you even after the Deep wounds is in effect
-
I think @SpaceCoconut put it best as long as you have perks that directly affect the survivors gameplay they're going to have to be weak.
Especially when you consider too many negative will actively make the game unfun for survivors.
For example swing chain + red paintbrush Freddy with thanatophobia + dying light + ruin and pop goes the weasel turns the game into a very annoying slog for survivors.
Hell for the most part you don't even need ruin you could replace it with thrilling tremors or sloppy Butcher just to be even more annoying.

if someone farms a survivor then yes
Well I don't agree with just going going hardcore tunneling a survivor to death completely.
However
If you happen to run into me after you recently got unhooked then that's not my problem you're going down and getting hooked.
If your rescuer dips and when I come back I only see you you you're the one I'm going to chase and down.
Even if you didn't run into me and I just happened to stumble across you may be run off and hear that I haven't just go in that direction if I can't see anyone else I'm going after you.
I will not exclusively hunt down a survivor who's recently been unhooked however that does not grant you immunity to do whatever the hell you want or being whatever compromising position you're in
Same thing with people with reverse bear traps you're not a high priority but you're still a priority.
-
Literally the only disadvantage a survivor has is down to your teammates.
Hell this is why when I play solo Survivor I tend to use a lone wolf build. Specifically just so I don't have to rely on people.
As for killer a lot of people seem to forget that there are add-ons have to contest with the power of 4 people. Everytime I hear someone comparing a killer add-on and a survivor add-on they do it on a 1 v 1 basis. Most killer add-ons are tailored to being reflecting four survivors using powerful add-ons
-
@Entity_Burger said:
1) All Mori's only work on Final Hook. (IE: Being hooked twice, or having been left into Struggle Phase on first hooking)
2) You have to bring the Survivor to a hook. It will now say '<button> to hook' (spacebar, RB, RT, whatever) and '<button2> to mori' (right click, left bumper, etc)
3) The different rarities of Mori give you a different animation. Higher rarities are more brutal.
4) The different rarities also award a bigger BP bonus. Higher rarities are more of a bonus.
5) When being Mori'd, all nearby objects go transparent for the Killer & Victims cameras, because you will not be doing many Moris in wide-open fields anymore. Walls will probably be nearby.
BOOM! Now they are more fair to Survivors, who were literally dead either way. Each rarity also has a use, both for whatever animations you enjoy the most, and if you just want more BP.
If you're doing that then you have the drop the requirements for the Cypress Mori.
Is only applicable to the last person in the game anyway so making it that they have to be on death hook and you have to bring them to a hook as well is a lot of unnecessary restrictions.

FF does not show blood pools or scratch marks so you do not randomly find Survivors you don't know are that when using FF for traversal. You are meant to have to make a concious decision to trigger FF to get someone you can see, or to traverse the map.
If someone is out in the open and you see them, whatever, that's their fault. :D
That seems like a terrible idea from a design standpoint.
Especially when other powers that can be used as a traversal tool don't have the same drawbacks.
Spirit still see scratch marks and blood stains with an add-on
Nurse see scratch marks and blood
Hillbilly can see scratch marks and blood
All of these that I have mentioned or not only stronger traversal tools then feral frenzy as they allow you to move around faster but but they are also more lethal than feral frenzy.
Again for a design standpoint there is literally no reason why Legion shouldn't be able to see at least blood stains if you don't want to use scratch marks.
That is literally like saying Wraith can enter cloaked mode and because he moves faster so has better map traversal you might as well take away his ability to see scratch marks.
-
Honestly it's a very common thing with three tracks.
They are very sparsely populated with stuff and then pretty much you get nothing until the end after a while.
However I would appreciate if they put some shards in the free track
-
I enjoy when anybody uses the Endurance add on me when I'm playing piggy.
I'm just like ok then I'm going to crouch either you're going to go down to Deep wounds or you're going to go down to my ambush if you try to mend
-
Yeah with no more plants and the higher focus on completing gen those juicy blood points I'm not playing Michael Myers.
I can barely play Amanda and I can't even play Legion with this so my two mains are out and I don't even want to try my third one Demi Logorgon still hasn't recovered from that bloody insta heal boom before the update
-
I'm really happy to have the orange aura back
Why the hell it was taken away in the first place I have no idea because without it tracking people in the corn was a nightmare especially considering the pulsing effect from killer instinct only made it harder to see where they were going
-
See ya
-
I don't have any problems with master trials I actually quite like them.
Considering the system of you could only take one trial at time having multiple trials that will be spread out throughout multiple games gets very annoying when I can only do one at a time.
However they really need to take a serious look at the requirements for some of these master challenges.
2 flashlight saves in the game: this will put the killer on alert mode good luck getting the second one after the first
Three sacrifices with no one escapes death in egc. Unless you have survivors trapped with blood warden or something no smart survivor is stick around and let you down them especially whilst endgame collapse is going on considering that would mean an exit gate is open.
Four basement sacrifices: most survivors don't like being brought to the basement more than once without them disconnecting what the hell makes you think you're going to get 4 survivors in there. Also the last survivor is going to go nowhere near the basement they'll go on the other side of the map and they'll rather die to endgame collapse or disconnect
Three safe hook rescues in endgame. Would have to hope at least two or more other survivors live till endgame. Then you would have to find a killer who is good enough to get three downs and hooks during endgame but also bad enough to allow you to get three safe hooks.
Unless you literally managed to borrow time save everybody in the basement this ain't happening.
All of these are absolutely ridiculous and whilst doing some of these you would have to hope the survivor or the killer doesn't disconnect.
-
I really do like them the fact that they are on the hooks makes it possible for The Killers actually get decent looks at them as you can't really do that if it's on your body.
However I do have some problems.
I feel like a charms need to be bigger especially for survivors right now they're not really noticeable also it's very easy for certain cosmetics to just cover them up. ( however I do appreciate how the charms will change position to suit the cosmetic you're wearing)
I also feel like there should be a nice fun little effective you managed to do a certain objective.
For example of the healing, completing generator or hooking having specific charms do certain actions would be nice. For example the flower will start to leak or spit out blight. Basically nice little cute visual effects don't really impact gameplay I would say sound effects as well but that is liable to screw you over as a survivor.
However my one major grape is there are a lot of repetitive charms with barely any difference to them there's like four killer charms of the Trapper which are basically exactly the same with the exception of the last one being red instead still the exact same item as the other three just with a red colouring
-
Feng Min but I'm biased.
Still hoping for
Bunny Min
Beach Feng
Santa Min
Min cosplaying something
As for Killers
Legion
I really like a dress type outfit for Susie
Reaper style outfit for Joey
They need a bright outfit
Maskless Legion.
Piggy
Maskless / hooded piggy
Her fishnet skirt combo from Saw 1
Her outfit from saw 2
Demi Logorgon
Top head and monocle combo with matching suit.
Santa hat.
-
Four basement sacrifices
Yeah I don't believe for one second and survivors are going to take the loss and all get put in basement.
From experience in running basement bills I already have survivors disconnected they can put in the basement more than once.
Not to mention that that it basically requires you to slug but because there is no way in hell the last survivor is going to go anywhere near the basement they'll be clear on the other side of the map.
Three safe unhooks during end game
This sounds like you're asking someone to play a game of musical suicidal hooks.
You would have to have a killer who good enough to get three consistent downs and hooks whilst the endgame is happening yet at the same time as being bad enough to let someone get 3 three safe saves.
Outside of extreme coordination or a farming match I don't see this happening.
Two flashlight saves
While possible after the first flashlight save Killers are most likely going to be on edge and I'm not going to fall for another one.
Having each survivor step into your trap.
unless you up against potatoes is not going to happen as I said most likely achieved with a farming match

There really is becoming alot more issues during the adjustments.
I will just call these "illegal hits" for the sake of reference.
- Windows now have an issue of illegal hits. The killer just SMACKED me, despite being 8' away from the window on my screen. IM playing on 100m down /25 up. WIRED and im on a very nice desktop pc. It shouldn't be an issue for me.
- Pallet strikes. So this game has a reverse pallet vacuum now AND the killer can hit players THROUGH pallets. Let alone we see pallets that are NOT dropping.
1) This issue often happens because on The Killers screen you were in the hit. Once the information has been gathered the game makes a decision on whether the lag was justifiable enough to apply the hit. This is why sometimes you specifically get a lot further before the hit actually registers.
2) This is a very similar problem it judges based on whether the hit would have connected with a reasonable space for latency on both ends.

Plague
When playing solo survivor trying to understand the general consensus on whether we're going to cleanse or not it's annoying.
If you don't cleanse it just takes one person to cleanse and basically put you all at risk.
If you do cleanse you potentially put the people who don't cleanse at risk.
Also for the love of god hearing my survivor constantly puke is more annoying than the stupid whispering from the doctor's madness tier 3
-
I typically have three.
Alert
Autodidact
No mither
Autodidact - Despite it's nerf from the ptb it's still a really nice perk when it works and it can make you a saving grace when you're up against an anti heal killer build. The most I would say is give it a slight number boost the first two skill checks aren't as punishing and when you have a full stack you're a lot more beneficial.
No mither - despite most people considering it a hindrance it's actually really nice on a injured build pair iy with dead hard, resilience and this isn't happening and you could be a pretty amazing gen jockey. There are also other injured builds that fits into but that's my favourite
Alert- It's a really great park for knowing where the killer is and having a good idea of when not to go on the map. If you notice a lot of breaking is happening in a specific area it's roughly a good idea not to go there because most of the pallets are probably gone. If you have to leave your gen and become stealthy knowing which way the killer goes helps you avoid them so you can complete the generator.
-
Honestly I agree it would give more advantages to having a specific role on a team.
Gen jockeys aren't forced to get chase to get decent points
Chasers aren't screwed over if they don't manage to do some generators
Hell you could even go for a full altruism build healing and saving people and not be punished because you didn't get chased or do gens

I think they are purple cosmetics but if you have iridescent shards they're also available through that according to leaks by daylight

Freddy has no Terror Radius when a Survivor is asleep, right? Instead he has the lullaby. So borrowed time doesn't work if a rescuer is asleep: but if not, the guy who got rescued and maybe hit again would get the deep wound effect but without terror radius.
So Moonwalking Freddy is a thing now? (I'm a killer main and i would never do this but for tunnelers it would be great news)
Tell me if I'm wrong.
You don't have the moonwalkers Freddy the second the Chase stops deep wounds will drop rapidly especially considering deep wounds you get from borrowed time is nowhere near the same as deep as you get from legion

It definitely SHOULD protect you from Franklin’s Demise. It makes sense.
That detail was probably overlooked when the perk was introduced into the game.
The reason why it's not don't like this is because it could be used to duplicate items.
Person A has a white Ward brings in a purple flashlight with really good add-ons drops it or it gets knocked out with Franklin's demise.
Person B their friend and picks up the item.
Person A dies and gets the item back.
Person B survives and escapes with the item.
Now you have two of the exact same flashlights to which they can easily repeat this process with even more people or more times.

The question is not why a survivor did or didn't an action. And I know. There are a lot of perks (from both sides) that don't work under certain circumstances when they should.
But I like the idea because I am going to write what happended to me one time.
A minute can be a giant amount of time, but under some circumstances it's not. One time I was playing as Feng. I was being chased more or less a minute and then a doctor decided to camp me. Well, two gens poped up. I was on second stage now when a Nea helped me without BT (Doctor still near), I used Lithe so I gain some distance between him and me. Looping for 30 secs when the EGC started. Then I was trying to go to the exit gate that was closer. After the doctor hit me, a surv with a flashlight came and doctor saw her, doctor hit her and wait 10 secs until he decided to grab me again (5 secs more or less of DS remaining) then I hit the skillcheck.
So, yes, he not only was tunneling me but he was camping me as well.
You're comparing two situations that are not alike.
What the OP was talking was what happens when they they are not tunneling and have enough time to down two different people and hook them up but still get hit with the decisive strike because it had like 5 seconds left.
A lot of survivors will take advantage of that by purposefully sticking on generators or or destroying totems in your face and if you try to grab them off it you get punished even though you didn't tunnel.
You experienced with straight up tunnelling and had nothing to do with what the discussion of this post is talking about
-
I will often put the light on top of a hex totem if I'm unable to cleanse it.
Hatch is also something I'll put the light on
99% gens as well basically to say hey there's a reason this generator was 99 think before you touch it
-
Let me break this down carefully for you camping is only rewarded if the survivors reward it.
If you don't throw yourself add a camping killer like suicidal lemmings they don't get rewarded they get gen rushed and most likely only get one kill.
The only time I would ever said yes to going for somebody who is being camped hardcore unless you feel like playing the musical hooks is when the exit gates are powered and most likely 99%.
However even with the situation I described above if you feel like the situation isn't worth it leave don't give the killer more kills than they deserve.
-
I feel like my favourite survivors other ones that stop at every single pallet they come across.
Mainly because they take out the defence in that area in the early game so I basically just stop survivors will try to run around that place.
A lot of people forget that especially after getting hit have enough time to walk past the couple pallets to keep that area safe
-

Karma screwing over toxicity.
I'm not talking about getting outplayed I'm talking about their toxic behaviour literally losing them a kill or an escape.
Instead of butt dancing you should have left now the killer was able to down you and hook you.
You wanted to be toxic and close the Hatch in a crawling survivor face well too bad they had adrenaline and the key should have just hooked them up
-
Give Killers a add-on and baseline power pass.
Some parts of there baseline kit for Killers definitely need some work.
Rule set no 2 baseline for Amanda
Legion in general
The ability to hold multiple traps baseline for trapper
Bubba in general
Definitely some add-ons that need to be changed.
Legion honestly with the exception of iridescent button, the duration add-ons and the power recovery add-ons all Legion's are on so bad need a good look over because apparently it wasn't probably done during their rework.
Amanda in a very similar position to Legion besides video tape, combat straps, medical file and last will all of Amanda's other add-ons are either unreliable completely terrible or just plain weak.
Demi Logorgon should have some more add-on focused around shred while the portals are a good ability the lack of control you have over them definitely doesn't work with such a large add-on focus.
Bubba's add-ons definitely need some flavour of their own right now it's too much of a clone of Billy add-ons that focus on different play style that you have compared to Billy would be better.
Still a lot more but that's just off the top of my head
-
I wonder if she's going to get the hammer as badly as Legion did.
-
@Saitamfed said:
Well let's see a way that a killer can tunnel in this case and not being punished. Let's suppose the killer is tunneling you (or targeting you if you want to call it that way, wathever the reason is), you go down but then another injured survivor try to make them leave, the surv goes down because he is not that good or whatever the reason is, and the killer hook him first. Does that mean the killer didn't tunnel you? The killer effectively tunneled you but for whatever the reason is, he choosed the another survivor.
Anyway, I think it's better focusing on perks like "Adrenaline" wich I think can be powerful and unfair under certain circumstances.
Then the question is why is an injured survivor wasting time trying to get you away from tunneling when they could have just been doing generators and let you use your decisive strike.
As a killer if someone is stupid enough to try to pull my attention whilst they are injured after I down somebody. They're screwing over their team because now your teammates have to deal with saving two people potentially leaving no one doing objectives rather than just dealing with saving one person and having two people still on objectives
-
Can you please add the orange highlight back to frenzy slightly reduce the pulsing effect.
The pulsing effect literally makes it harder to determine where survivors are going in places that have corn or tall grass.
So not only those are the tall grass and corn obscuring your vision, you also have to deal with the frenzy speed boost effects obscuring your vision and on top of that I have the seizure strobe effect of killer instinct blocking my vision of which direction they're juking.
Also frenzy is no longer lethal. Hell even with a build specifically designed to make it lethal it's still not lethal so could you please remove the anti tracking on feral frenzy there's no reason to cover up scratch marks and blood stains anymore.
Also why in the hell do I get punished more for using my non lethal power than Wraith does for being killer blinded something that takes significantly longer to do so should punish the wraith player.
Lastly I get that you wanted to be inventive but can you please change the killer instinct range increase addons back to speed increase. Even with both the duration add-ons I can barely hit somebody on the edge of my terror radius the last thing I need to do is know if there are further unavailable targets. Also I can't use this to accurately predict if they are going to specific locations because you block aura reading during killer instinct.
By the way why the hell do you block aura reading during killer instinct. Especially when you have an add-on that literally requires me to be in frenzy to see specific gen aura changes. Which is a terrible add-on by the way because not only do I have to deal with frenzy timer + the fatigue time + power recovery when I'm trying to get an accurate reading of the gens but I also have to deal with the fact that if I hit anybody and activate killer instinct I might as well not be running the add-on.
-
I would say I like Kate's old voice somewhat.
A lot of people said it was loud and worrying but it was literally the most realistic you will ever get.
Most people who are thrown onto a hook with enough force for a cleanly pierce through them would most likely wail like Banshees.
Also I don't know about you but if I was gravely injured I'm probably be wailing and moaning as well.
Steve would have to be the one I hate the most I'm sorry but it legitimately sounds like he's the bottom in a gay adult film.

Amanda
S- Best add-ons
Video Tape
Medical File
Last Will
Combat Straps
A- Honestly everything after the above kind of sucks
N/A
B- Good but really unreliable
Tampered timer
Crate of gears
Bags of gears
Jigsaw sketch
Jigsaw annotated plans
C- Not only situational but weak
Amanda's letter
D- Outside of one niche build I have no reason why you would want to run any of these
Slow-release toxin
Face mask
Rusty attachments
Utility blades
F- Relies on the survivors to mess up super easy skill checks even with unnerving presence they're not hard to hit
Razor wire
Workshop Grease
Interlocking razors
FF- Literally no reason to run this perk not even for the memes
Amanda's secret

In DBD's current state I think they could finally bring back the whole hooks don't respawn thing and then at least killers won't complain about survivors gen rushing anymore
But then it would be super easy to Sabotage every hook on the map.
Once that's done if the killers not running agitation iron grasp hangman's trick or debatably mad grit then they are literally going to be unable to hook survivors.
Which is going to lead to Killers just slugging survivors and then you're going to hear massive amounts of complaint about slugging or it's going to lead to a massive rise in first hook moris.
There's a reason it was removed to begin with.

Yeah I would have no problem with it being gimmicky if it was something like a common add-on but it's a very rare and you would literally have an easier time playing baby nurse against red rank survivors.
This is why I don't have any problem with the speed limiter type add-ons they remain common add-ons so using them is more of a gimmick.
However when you start heading the spectrum of rare add-ons and higher you really shouldn't have any extremely gimmicky add-ons.

I mean yes you can down people with it.
However even with a builds perfectly suited for it is still so well fully impractical that nine times out of ten you're most likely going to get gen rushed with only two downs if even that.
Hell Monto even tried using a frenzy only build on his first attempt if he didn't have an ebony mori he would have lost and on his second attempt he had to break his rule because people mending in his face.
-
Ok I'm going to be honest with you.
If you try to force out too many Loops and get hit through the pallet accordingly you deserve it.
If you run past the pallet and try to quickly run back for a cheeky stun and get hit because of it you deserve it.
You're camping a pallet and you're up against the killer who doesn't respect them and they swing through and smack you guess what you deserve it.
I've seen some pretty BS pallets hits so trust me I know they exist however the vast majority of people I see complaining about it are people who do one of the above and then start whining because they got hit

It’s to discourage tunnelling a survivor with FF, and instead try to get the player to focus on the KI notifications. Plus it gives a survivor already affected by DW a (very marginal) chance to try and juke a Legion that is persisting on stab stab stabby while in FF.
Basically it’s to encourage a player to use Legion the “correct” way.
Yeah but after a while most Legion just stop using their power because it's so detrimental.
You would be surprised how many survivors especially red ranks literally start mending the second you turn around.
Currently frenzy has literally no lethal power even when using the two add-ons that are meant to give it lethal power it's still so woefully unreliable that literally just running the matches and M1 killer and not using frenzy once is far more efficient.
With the current kit the way it is there is absolutely no reason to to remove Legion's tracking capabilities with scratch marks and the blood stains.

Let's just ignore killers are literally facecamping people for playing specific characters or using specific items or perks.
Hun, your strawman of me is not exactly working.
Noticed how I used the word characters instead of killers because the same applies for both parties.
You have no right to dictate what a survivor can you use the same way you don't have a right to dictate what a killer can use.
Also while I still support the notion that people are free to play however they want as long as it's not bannable.
However I believe if someone is being toxic you have the right to call them out about it. Without using personal insults or vile language.
