You should have said you would have let them, but they never tried.

Yea I know.....I felt bad for the survivor on the hook. I only really face camp on survivors that grief me too much or pallet slammed or flashlight stunned me way too many times...but other than that I walk away after the usual check the surroundings.

  • That poor Hag....no wonder she gave up....those Traps have feelings too....and all those alerts probably gave the player a headache tbh.

  • @Pulsar said:

The issue with facecamping is that, yeah, we'd all love to get rid of it. It sucks.

However, there isn't really a way to punish facecampers without punishing honest players.

Right there have been alot of times survivors would loop me AROUND the hook. They dont try to lure me away they just loop near the hook. One time that happened the survivor died on the hook, at the end game chat all the other survivors accused me of camping. When I said you guys wanted to loop me around the hook, their reaponse....well you should of just let us un hook them so you were camping....

I hate entitled survivor mains like that.....

yeah. Maybe a perk/passive that makes it so your hook status doesn't decrease/decreases considerably slower while the killer is within 4/8/12 Meters? Maybe you could actually get more time when you get hit on hook as a bit of a meme.

The issue with that is Survivors could abuse it by running killers near the hook to prevent any hook progress.

  • It's the same as the Hit Validation of Dead Hard and of Pallets the server decides what should hit and not. It goes off who did the action first. In your case the Killer Initiated the Attack before you Initiated the vault action.

It's a faulty system but that's better with what we had before.

  • @jesterkind said:

I'm going to have to second everyone else saying it here-- NOED only gets any more value than a surprise down if the survivors choose to give it value by lingering in the trial without dealing with it. Hunt for the totem, or leave, those are both very effective counters to NOED.

It's not even a particularly good perk, but I empathise with it being annoying. If it were to be changed, the only change I would support is having it announce itself to the survivors immediately as it spawns, because I agree that getting hit with NOED before you know it's there is frustrating. There are tools to deal with it, but you've got to know to use them, y'know?

Right and now with Boons all you have to do is break 1 Totem and bless the rest....boom no more NoED.

Hexes now have lost all practical use except NoED. Players can just bless over any Hex, Thrill of the Hun which was the Killers only Hex Defense perk got nerfed, survivors have perks and items to easily find totems.

These "Nerf NoEd" posts are just bait posts because there are so many counter measures to it and Survivors refuse to do them or even respect the Hex to begin with.

Sure, we can act like silent survivor in dying state bug doesn't exist

Or the Bug where survivors on hooks or in random spots on the ground still moan after they are dead

  • @jesterkind said:

Because the intention is for survivors to waste a lot of time, cumulatively, trying to bless a totem so they can get value, which means they're spending increasingly less time on generators and are sticking in a specific area the killer can take advantage of. That's the theory.

It doesn't always bear out like that in practice, but the problem would be worse if each totem was one-use only, not better. Survivors wouldn't be wasting as much time on blessing since they can only do it a max of five times, and they'd be scurrying off into the dark corners of the map instead of being in one spot.

It never is wasted time because 1 survivor losses a totem while 3 others do gens....when that survivor blesses a totem another switches out to find a totem to bless. Survivors have no wasted time, while killers have very limited time to find a survivor and start to apply pressure.

  • I say we remove ALL perks and items and go back to just our skill. Let's see how well anyone plays without Perks backing them up.....without items holding their hands.....and this goes for both sides.

    Survivor main i see....

play killer... for a week. just killer... come back and tell me how it was. you will see why killer "camp" and "tunnel". These arguments are here EVERY day, and i can tell you it's the same on both sides, killer mains cry about survivors, survivors about killers... as long as both sides are like what they are now... don't complain about players who abuse what works, or should we ban survivors as they "only do gens and loop, that is op, it's no fun" (real argument i read). And please don't tell me "i play an equal amount of killer and i never camp or tunnel". Noone does it apparently, and everyone plays always perfect and awesome and it's always the others, except it's the SWF team, then it's the killer too op.

Only time I ever camped and tunneled a survivor was and always will be Mr or Mrs Clicky Click.......they will always die and I will watch the life leave from their eyes as the Entity drags them away into the abyss......ahem I digress yes it's the same complaints we have been seeing all around the forums. Like you said until both sides actually stop complaining about each other and see its certain players that abuse the system on both sides no fixing can be done

If I was a survivor main and had 3 friends who played this game I'd be SWF all the way. So as a killer main it would be unfair to criticise those who choose to play that way.

However, do I think it offers a huge advantage in an already survivor sided game? Of course. Therefore it's easy for that to breed toxic group bullying behaviour.

    I feel for you.

Yea I dont criticize them for playing that way because I have faced alot of SWFs that played fair and didn't try to be toxic or really bully.

Yeah? Is it cheating if someone gives themselves a Perk which shows the location of the Killer at all times to all 4 survivors? Because that's what coordinated SWF does with giving killer location.

If all 4 survivors could see the aura of the Killer permanently during a trial, this is blatant cheating. And coordinated SWF's do exactly this by calling out when they are being chased, or which Gen the Killer is going to, or just calling out his location in general.

It's cheating, and I don't know how you don't see that. You sound like a teenager, because nobody with a developed brain would argue this.

But I'm done complaining about this.

I've switched to main Survivors now and am enjoying abusing the SWF mechanic in discord. Didn't lose a single game yesterday as Survivor.

Having a blast taking a dump on killers now in discord with SWF. Yesterday, I got to be on the Survivor perspective of a 3 man coordination to rescue our 4th hanging teammate. It was end game. We coordinated both exit doors to 99% and stopped. Then we all ran to the hook together, healed up, and then I had Borrowed Time so I was the designated Unhooker, while the other 2 helped body block and flashlight. All 4 of us made it out. The killer was reduced to face camping the final survivor at the end to try and get a single Kill, but we denied him even that.

I know how that Killer feels, but apparently this community and the devs don't care, so I'm going to enjoy the broken system too.

In another game, I was the hooked teammate at the end of the trial, and all 3 came to save me again through coordination, told me which way to run, and the killer was so desperate for -1- kill, that he tunneled me from hook and was dodging the body blockers to try and get to me. The poor killer got me right near the exit gate, but guess what. Flashlight stun. There was no wall nearby in the grass to hide, so he got flashlight stunned when he picked me up, all 4 of us made it out.

    Yay Survivor SWF on discord!!!!

Strange you call me a teenager but is trying to compare perks to Discord. You also seem to be as angry as a Pre-Teen and trying to overcompensate for your inadequacy in playing Killers so you feel you should "cheat" as well by playing on SWF survivors and adding to the broken system. That action within self proves your real age and the inability to grow as a Killer.

Using Discord is not cheating as using a outside program is not against the rules that the Devs have laid out for us. Learning from ones own mistakes and learning new ways to play Killers is how we can get better at handling SWFs until a balance can be worked out.

In the end its pretty obvious that your response was the typical bait response to try and get me angry and upset somehow.....

Good Job but better luck next time Sluzzy......

  • Can we all be friends here and agree some Survivors are entitled little crud nuggets that think they should have everything handed to them while others are not but can feel offended by how killers are atm in the game.

Alot of killers feel to get a decent score and not to get de-pipped or lose MMR is to camp and tunnel, which the Devs have said multiple times that is a valid strategy for killers to use. Is it fun no do all killers do it no but that's the way the game is right now. I feel alot of this is coming from both sides, survivors who think the game is about them and forget the Killer is a player too and Killers who, some but not all, wont learn new ways to mind game survivors and better ways to play their favorite Killer.

  • @VaJaybles said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2617352#Comment_2617352

I've seen that idea pop up too, I'd be okay with that but that's because I don't care about bloodpoints lol So imma play devil's advocate with this next question "aren't you technically punishing swf since they won't get as many bloodpoints?"

Technically it's not punishing them. Because they punish themselves when they Gen Rush and try to get the game over as fast as possible.

I didn't say it is a perfect system but at least they wouldn't be "nerfed" for playing with friends. This system would help promote people to play solo from time to time and best way I can think of anyway.

I dont want to punish anyone because they play better than me anyway. For me the fun is not the hooking or the Moris.....well maybe a little bit the Moris. *insert evil laughter here* Its the chases, more chases helps me learn how to read survivors movements and learn where the divine loops are and how to avoid them.

  • Never get DC myself.....but had a match today where I had 3 people dc on me when I was killer. One DCd when their fellow survivor wanted to keep a chase going around her, the 2nd DCd after I hit her through a window and as I picked her up he DCd (probably trying to get the glitch to happen) and the last was a ACTUAL DC because they got DCd while on the hook but he was still there and went all the way through the sacrifice animation. Never had 3 survivors DC on me before it was kinda weird TBH. Was going to let the last one go but I needed her for a Tangled Hook challenge.

  • Dont worry I was called Toxic when I downed and hooked all 4 survivors and they didn't get even 3 gens done. This was on Gleendale I was using my anti-boon killer.....my good ole laughing boy himself.....Doc. I assume I was Toxic because I could find them even though they had half the map covered in shadowstep. I was accused for camping the hook.....mind you I hooked someone started to walk away used Static and heard a scream behind me I turned and saw a survivor running to unhook so I turned and gave chase.

You cant please everyone. I dont camp, tunnel or do the regular toxic killer tricks.....unless I have a good reason, ie a toxic flashlight clicky clack....I swear I can hear that in my sleep now.

But I digress. Play how you want to play, you were not purposely camping to be toxic right, then dont worry about it. Some survivors seem to think they should always be allowed to escape.

  • But they removed the notification you get when they touch a Hex totem all it does now is increase the cleanse/bless time.....

I'm a huge advocate for swf, majority of my friends I've met while soloing and boom now we are swf. However I hope the devs do something cuz like I mention I also solo..... And I hate it most of the time. *Fingers crossed* I would love for the devs to shake up swf/solo

Right I dont want them to punish people who wa t to play with SWFs just the com situation is the only reason why are such a issue. Personally they need to buff SoloQ so people will play solo more but not too much to make Solos more powerful than Killers.....one thing I read someone say was give bonus BP and Shards to Solo Q players and bonus BP and shards to Killers for going against SWFs

True, but I'm pointing out the ignorance in thinking it's legit cheating (changing game files in order to see through walls, aim bit, no exhaustion etc) and that it wouldn't be apart of a multiplayer game. There definitely needs to be some changes, what they are, I have no idea.

Oh I agree it's not cheating at all and those are saying it is are well......ummm how can I say this so not to offend their sensibilities.....ummm fools. As what to be done I'm not sure myself.

  • @VaJaybles said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2616320#Comment_2616320

Those perks are for people who don't play in a swf=solo queue. They also help if you're not a full 4man and helps out the randoms, they can also help you if youre new to the game. Any game that allows people to play with each other allows voice.

PubG, COD, LOL, etc you do callouts, would you consider that cheating?

That is the perk of online games.

Yes other online games do call outs and voice chats but there is a major difference between DbD and those games.......those games you have at the most part have the same amount of people on each team, while in DbD its 4v1. The Killer is at a disadvantage to begin with before you add SWF coordination and "COMS". I say it like that because yes it could be a bunch of friends in the same room, but the issue is still you have a team that can call out the Killers location at all times so they can plan out their Gen Repairs, rescues or general harrassment of the Killer.

    Are all SWFs the same....NO

Do I expect getting 4K every game......NO (that would make the game boring and dull)

Do I want them to punish people for playing with their friends.......HECK NO.

I have had plenty of games where I came across SWFs that use coms but dont abuse it and those are some of the most fun matches I have ever had. Everyone had fun with the chases we got a bit silly at times but in the end we achieved what the GAME is really about.......it's to have fun. In the end they shouldn't punish people for playing with friends but they do have to have a way to help balance things so Killers of all experience levels can have fun, because someone who is a lower skill level wont be able to handle a SWF Hit squad while there are Killers who has the skills to go against those Squads.

As someone said Solo Q and Killers need some type of "buff". Killers going against a SWF need something, like someone said more BP, Shards or something. Same thing for SoloQ Survivors they need something because their Skills may not be up to snuff for certain skills of killers

  • @Dino7281 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2613388#Comment_2613388

    How will that fix anything?

SWF will be exactly same. They will still be able to lower their MMR by playing with noobs. They will still completely skip match-making, because they can choose teammates. They still get free info without perks. They will still destroy most weak killers.

You will just punish them with longer queue times, because they want to play with friends?

That should never be a thing and it would be really stupid to punish SWF in any form for playing with friends. Not every SWF is dead squad.

Yes I agree punish them for using discord to get a upper hand on a player who is by himself without any kind of help what so ever.......yes I am half joking here....there needs to be a fix to SWFs that makes everyone happy.....right now SWFs are the real thorn in everyone's sides.

How can you talk about balance when you don't play both sides ? What do you know about how it is to play killer ?

I know I play both sides and it's like night and day......Killer side I am so chill and laid back because I dont care about kills...I get them when I get them.....I play to have fun and make it fun for the survivors.....but i can see where the stressers are as killer and where its non existent as survivor.

Another thing that really grinds my grapes is SWF's who play 3-4x identical characters, extra annoyance points if they all play blendettes.

They have been generous to killers the past year. You’re clearly a newer player. Never been an easier time to play killer than now

Please tell me how they have been generous....they changed addons removed addons and made news ones that are mostly trash.....Spirit Nerf was needed I agree with that but all her addons now are mostly trash the only ones I use now is Dried Charry Blossem and Mother Daughter Ring. Boons in general is definitely not being generous to killers......nerfing Thrill of the Hunt to protect their pretty new Boons from being targets.

  • @Gwinty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2613632#Comment_2613632

I also agree with this. Boons are fine and not a problem for me. The problems with the current Boons arise because they can be mashed up with some other perks and items: A green Med-Kit with add-ons and then Botany Knowledge within Cycle of Healing is just dope. Same with Shadowstep and Iron Will alone they are completly fine in conjunktion they rob the Killer of far too much information.

Boons on themself are fine. Imagin capped self-healing and only one Iron Will or Shadowstep being active. Both would be fine and the play around safe zones is also fine. I would only change the fact that the killer hat to touche the Boon, maybe attacking it should be sufficient.

Boons are still a problem for a few reasons...not for all the classic reasons all the arguments are saying but ones people haven't thought of.

    1. Area Size - The area size is still too large as it can still cover a wide area. I saw a Tuber play on Ormond Estate and someone put a Boon on the 2nd floor of the main building and it covered 90% of the building and a good size area outside too. The area should be shrank to a 30m range.

Totem Placement - Totems themselves make Boons a problem because they were not originally designed to be interacted with Killers. I have come across multiple Boons that I cant snuff or it takes me 300 years to try to find the right angle to get the Snuff to pop up.

CoH Healing Speed - Yes I said not of the usual arguments but this is a issue. Without a cap to the healing speed we get like the above video shows. So either they need to make a cap for the healing speed or make it that first aid kits are not affected by CoH speed boost.

This is only the beginning - Guys this is only the beginning they are supposed to be bringing out something like 12 or so more Boons. With boons stacking with each perk you have we could see new Metas that we could only have nightmares about. If the Devs are not careful they will make Survivors way too powerful.

I could see SWFs running a assortment of Boon Perks instead of the normal Metas we see now to make large areas that have multiple effects.

  • Personally I hope it's a Crow killer that expands on the crows in the game......I had a killer idea that did that where one of his perks was called Eyes In the Sky where if a Suevivor disturbed a crow it would reveal all survivors within a 35m radius of the crows location until it came back.

  • @pseudechis said:

Seriously I'd say 75-80% of the posts here complaining about camping and tunneling are just players who suck at losing with dignity.

How many streams do you watch where everyone cries camper/tunnler for any or no reason other than they died?

How many times do you get hit with the trash killer camping/tunneller post game again for any reason?

I just had a game, leatherface on midwich. I down 1 survivor next to basement hook em down there, as I'm leaving a survivor runs behind me into the basement for the save when I'm right next to the stairs. So I chainsaw down the stairs and down him. DC.

I go to leave the basement and the next survivor has just given up standing at the top of the stairs waiting for me to down them. I oblige and hook em.

Spend the rest of the game chainsawing doors, the couple of dropped pallets from the first chase and snuff a boon. I'm nowhere near the basement at this point with two hanging on hooks down there.

Stumble across hatch close it for the BP, run into the last survivor smack the exit gate they don't get it and just start running, decide screw it down them and hook GG.

Post game "dirty camper", "trash basement bubba", "uninstall", "#########" etc etc etc.

I hope the devs aren't listening to this crap because a lot of it is just whining sore loser BS.

Yea I have the same experience when I was playing the Hag. I hook a survivor and like any Hag player I place a trap near the hooked survivor. I walk away and not even 3 seconds after I leave my trap activates and I down the rescuer both DC immediately. I repeat the process with the other two but they didn't DC and they died. They responded with "Dirty Camping Grandma" "Uninstall you have no skills just camp"

Survivors will always blame the killer for their mistakes or lack of skills. The survivors know knew they were going up against the Hag so they should of known to be looking for my traps but because I was using the shackles they never knew they triggered the trap until it was too late.

  • @Viktor1853 said:

But survivors can just re-blessed the totem again and again

I would just ignore it.....that is not even a valid argument because Hexs and Boons are not even close to being the same thing.

    1. Killers cant break totems so they cant "Do Bones"

    2. It's a major time waster for the Killer to try and find where they are. Yes I know they make a loud humming sound but if you have no idea where to look there's no point to the sound. Killers also are very limited on how much time they can spend on any one task while survivors have all the time in the world. So those arguments it's a waste of time for survivors is a joke because one person can be blessing a totem while 3 other survivors are doing Gens.

    3. With the Nerf to Thrill of the Hunt, Killers lost the only real Hex defense/Information gathering perk. While survivors still have all their perks and maps for finding totems making it easy for them to quickly move Boons around the map.

Im pretty sure 99% of people who are upset of the Slinger nerf barely even played him lmao

I never played him because I don't have him but I have gone against him pre nerf and post nerf. I can say he did need a buff to help balance him with the nerf. Before the Nerf the quick scoping was a little broken when other killers with similar skill have to "prep" before their power is activated. Now when a Slinger is the killer I go against he misses alot of shots or just becomes a m1 killer. The part of the nerf I truly dont understand is the increased TR, he is a bounty hunter who's nob was to hunt down men to fill a prison. So his lower TR made sense and his powers really needs the lower TR to be used effectively. His gun is essentially a short to med range weapon that you have to be pretty accurate to land a hit, it has very limited forgiveness for missed shots.

Did he need the Aiming Nerf - Yes

Did he need the TR nerf - No

Did he need some kind of Balance buff to go with the above two Nerfs - Yes.

That still doesn't magically solve the problem with those killers. They still have those problems, Ignoring them does not mean they are solved.

The thing is Doc is very good against Shadowstep survivors. I have had little issues getting 3K in about 80% of my matches with him. I let them have their healing zone because the longer the game runs the more mistakes survivors will make trying to get those last gens on the half of the map I was guarding the entire time.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/292192/incentive-system

Na, na...They need to fix maps/gen speeds and incentivise longer matches. The system would fix itself.

I do agree there.....back when they said they would never change gen speeds is when people still couldn't get a great skill check that often so there was no issue there.....but now most of the survivors can hit great skill checks like it's nothing so combine that with a tool box with a BNP and a speed boost along with perks that also increase speed of repairs, it has become a issue that they need to address......either make great skill check areas harder to hit or adjust the speed boost that perks and tool boxes give.

Imagine playing the game the way, you only do just to ruin other's fun. You are the first representation of community's toxicity.

Yes but the shoe can be on the other foot....the only reason tunneling and face camping has become so rampant is due to the last patch. With CoH Killers can juggle survivors like before so now they have to tunnel one survivor at a time just to get a hook, and with the MMR and how its scored Gen Rushing has become a major issue for them. So to make sure they don't de pip or lose alot of MMR score they face camp to just get one to two kills.

I don't agree with it not at all. The only time I ever face camped or tunnel anyone is when it's that one survivor that decided to flashlight stun.....pallet drop me......or just be a thorn in my side the entire game.....so I want to make sure they die.....but just to get kills no I'd rather go 0-4 every match.

So until the Devs realize that all the stuff they have done was switch the power role from Killers to the Survivors and have inadvertently siding with Survivors in a majority of their updates and actually balance the game, tunneling and camping will continue.

Yeah and it's implied that they're actually going to give solo queue Survivors a buff to "bridge the gap" according to their most recent Q&A. So in other words it's just gonna get worse.

Yea that's a great idea.....Killers have been saying how SWF squads have major advantages over Killers how uneven it is and how the fun is sucked right out of the game once a SWF takes the field. But SoloQ survivors wine louder saying SoloQs need buffed because they cant compete with SWFs..... if they buff SoloQs it will make it worse to play Killers and more will go on strike and the wait times will be even worse.

Mods or Devs if you are reading this forum post please think about the balance for both Survivors and Killers. Don't let DbD go the way of so many other games where the Devs didn't care about the game.

I’m wondering if anybody uses Mother’s Glasses on Spirit? For reference when you use them scratch marks aren’t visible but if a survivor is next to your husk (within 2 meters) you get a killer instinct ping.

I’ve been trying to think of a good use for these, especially considering you can’t see scratch marks with them, and I’m coming up short. I guess the idea maybe is pair them with the Wakizashi Saya add-on that allows you to teleport back to your husk with the activate ability button when you hear a ping, and set this up by maybe phasing out at a pallet or vault to block it and if the survivor tries to sneak past the husk port back and hit them? But it seems like that would be really unreliable compared to playing her normally with the scratch marks visible and a different pair of add ons instead.

So out of curiosity, anybody have any luck with Mother’s Glasses?

No Mothers Glasses are garbage the Dried Lotus is better but even that is still isn't that good but at least you can get the activation when they are near you. I do the Dried Lotus with Mother Daughter Ring.

The game you just had doesn't happen often and I'm almost positive you're exaggerating anyways. I play killer 75% of the time and it's not THAT big of a deal.

Agreed very rarly do I have a bad gen rush team like that but I have delt with gen rushers in my own way.......I only guard 3 gens where uts a 3 gen dead zone for them....then I just slowly knock them down one by one until each one is dead

They fixed the Clairvoyance bug, big sad. :c

I'm glad they fixed it. That would cause more issues mainly being able to push the killer into pallets or away from hooks. That bug would also cause alot of people to get banned for exploiting a known bug to gain a advantage over others

  • Personally Ibdont have too much faith in anything positive to be made.......enough survivors have complained about Moris being a "toxic" playstyle or a way for killers to bully them......I can see them making it so you have to get a full 12 hooks while dancing on one toe and all gens being done the EGC is going on before you can Mori anyone.

You’re kidding right? There hasn’t been a better time than now to play killer. You clearly haven’t been around long.

You must be drunk because I play killer most of the time and it has been a pain in my -bleep-. I don't play dirty like camping or tunneling but have noticed I have been doing that more and more because of CoH and Gem Rushing.....I tend to guard my little 3 Gen Dead zone to try and keep the pressure up but it doesn't always work.

  • Personally I hope it has something to do with the crows because they are a very underused aspect of the game....I never use SFtS because I never see much use for it.

  • Play a few more games and the MMR should equal out.....what I suggest is farm BP on your survivor that your best with and use them to raise your killers up

They aren't OP and can be destroyed in like a second. Yeah, that's fair. I personally don't even feel like they are worth the time to set up. Just better off working on gens instead.

They are not destroyed by a killer they are just snuffed out and can be reapplied to the totem. If the totems get destroyed by the killer when he snuffs there actually wouldn't be a issue or as many complaints.

Idea B combined with a cap on how many times a single totem can be reactivated would be best.

I have had a idea that would fix Boons without Nerfing them.....

Each boon Perk only has 3 uses on them so there would be a risk and reward to using them. Meaning CoH will have 3 charges and Shadowstep will have 3 Charges.

    Or.....

Boons only have a limited time they can stay active. Let's say 120s before they self snuff out and have to be reapplied. But while your Boon is in place you cant apply it to another location till your old one snuffs out or gets snuffed out by the Killer.

One of the problem is, A good SWF would just put it an annoying position where you'll have to waste more time.

Take for example the Totems on the underground of Badham's school. You can easily hear where they are but the time wasted to go there is not worth it. As 5 secs can be the time you can stop a generator from popping.

I agree with you. I had a match in the Auto Haven Wrecking Yard the Survivors got down to the dreaded 3 Gen stalemate (how I planned it) and everytime I hit them they would run to the other side of the map and vanish because of Shadowstep and then in 7 secs be fully healed.

They tried to bait me to chase them away from the Gens.....I never nibbled....and to snuff out those Boons that allowed them to vanish and heal so fast would of lost me the game because I had no idea where they were at and didn't want to waste time searching for them.

  • Ok let me summarize all the issues and counter arguments I have seen in this post and others similar to this one.......AHEM....

"Boons are OP They need to be nerfed."

I personally don't think that Boons on their own but when used with other perks or items they become OP. For example Shadow Step combined with Iron Will makes it very difficult to find anyone if you lose line of sight for too long. CoH is just OP with any Medkit or perk that also increases healing speed.

So Boons don't need to be nerfed just adjusted to make them more balanced, one thing that could easily fix it is....

    A. Making Boon perks have a set amount of tokens for example CoH will have 3 tokens at the start of the match and Shadow Step have 3 tokens at the start of the Map.

    B. Boons can have a time limit that they can stay active on any single Totem.....for example Boons stay active on totems for 120s before going out.

    C. Only one Boon can be active on a single Totem at a time.

Just these three simple ideas could help balance Boons that are out now and the 16 or so new ones that are supposed to come out.

"Boons are weaker than Hexs so their not OP"

This statement is wrong on so many levels....

    1. If Boons are weaker than Hexs, then why do they snuff out Hexs by just blessing them and if they can snuff them out why don't Hexs come back after the blessing is gone since Hexs are so much more powerful than Boons.

    2. Once Hexs are gone they cant be relit, unlike Booms which can be relit or moved to another totem when ever the survivor wants to move it.

"Oh Killers just need to do bones because Boons are easy to see and hear."

Killers cant "Do Bones" because Killers cant destroy totems like survivors can....all they can do is snuff them out and hope the survivors don't want to re bless it. Also as It has been said above Killers don't have time on their side, from the start of the match they have to find survivors try to knock them down and hook them.....from my experience with the current state of the game 1-2 gens will be completed before your first hook. So Killers don't have time to waste searching around for Blue Totems to Snuff out.
