do you not have decent headphones because the noise that comes from them is loud and makes them very easy to find

That's if you know the area to look .....there's been plenty of games where I was nowhere near them and couldn't find them all game.

I could be assuming this, but I think its the tediousness with which the game was dragged out by the survivors morso than the loss that lead to this post.

Its very typical of players to just stop doing gens at one gen left when they completely outclass a killer player and farm for points. Sure you can farm with them but after you are maxed out on chase points its really just a waste of time.

After a while it can get tedious.

In those situations as survivor I would just smash out the last gen and leave.

I don't think the OP is looking for easy games, they are looking for how to counter coordinated survivors with boons, the phrase "git gud" is kinda useless because it obvious and offers no tangible help.

To the OP, the counter to this is a hard camp and tunnel. Body blocking should get you free hits and if they are all injured then they can't block very effectively. I'd say next time snuff the boon target the weakest link and then spread damage. If you get one on hook hard camp that person to death.

Teams like this often get so tilted by camping they make terrible plays and all end up dying.

If its not working then disengage and ignore them while you break stuff, they'll eventually get bored with your non participation and leave. Then ignore any post game chat players like this are often the saltiest win or loss and will tantrum at you no matter what happens in game.

I agree I have faced a few today that did that to me. I'm no where a bad killer player, I can hold my own against some good teams but I get a few......Oracle.....I swear if I face them again it wont be too soon.....ahem.....But best course of action is if they want to drag out the last gen practice on them....use them trolling and farming to practice fake outs, mind games and learning common loops and how to beat them.

  • Yes I have noticed that today.....3 games in a row 1-2 people rage quit on me as I played Doc. One RQ on his 2nd hook and another RQ as I was picking them up. Others usually RQ after their 2nd down. It is becoming a big issue.

Devs Who cares about their own products do, there is a lot of games with devs playing every day, even streaming.

The problem with Behaviour is that they don't care about how is the Game in terms of fun and balance, they only see how much money players invest on skins.

They do not play their Game, and when I Saw a dev playing in the past, before MMR, that dev couldnt surpass Green ranks so... What kind of aknowledge of DBD do they have xD.

They see baby survivors with Zero skill crying on the forums about how strong Killers are, they check the % of money that survivors pay instead of the amount of killers and they make the fixes we are suffering these days like Pallet Vallidation or DeadHard Buff.

Dead Hard wasn't buffed all they did was put it on server side when determining hit validation......like with pallets....and like with the hit validation bug on pallets Dead Hard has the same bug that they wont remove because the Devs think that's how it should work.

A killer hears a scream and sees blood they will naturally stop and look for a body to pick up giving that survivor time to run and hide...so with Shadowstep in play it means the killer loses the trail altogether.

The perk definitely did need a fix, because it hadn't worked under dedicated servers at all - why should it be reliant on the killers connection for example, so that 100% did need to be changed.

With regards to the balance questions you brought up, sorry but I'm not addressing anything that we've not discussed publicly. I do pass on the feedback with regards to what's been discussed here, but it's not up to me to decide what gets changed or not.

Mandy I have a question that's not related to this thrilling discussion of Dead Hard that I believe only someone like you can answer. How do I go about doing that. This question has nothing to do with any of the drama that's going on now....its regarding suggestions on a new killer idea.

Do you...play Solo Q at all?

I've never seen a match where the Killer has had NOED and not had it proc.

Small Game still requires you to run around looking for them, but it narrows the search.

    Counterforce does the same.

You are assuming that Survivors have time to do so. You seem to think that Killers are getting one hook by the time 5 gens are done. That is not the case. These games are already down to the wire. 6-7 hooks with a Kill mixed in here and there. Spending 70 seconds cleansing totems would actually result in a 4K in those scenarios. Not only that, but the Killer may not even have it.

It's idiotic that a perk has that much power and whose only counter is to essentially throw the match.

Ok I play in solo Q matches and 7 out of 10 of those matches we did all the bones and escaped 3 out of 4 so your point saying that solo Q cant do bones and escape is moot. Totems are in set spots and now with Boons the likelyhood that noed will proc is way lower

I don't have the new survivor so I'll be breaking every totem I find..

  • Ya know I'm seeing a trend on these forums.....and this is seeing both sides saying this phrase......."X Perk is too strong/unfair this needs to be Nerfed". Why don't they just get rid of all the perks and everyone will have to go onto their own skills and not be aided by perks. Or better yet.....make all the perks base base kit for EVERYONE.

  • Awww look at the little adorable 8 legged freak of nature.....

  • @Predated said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2596437#Comment_2596437

IF 2 survivors are there AND the person who is downed is in that area. You could snuff the totem before survivors can even pick the survivor up and then down them again

    So, irrelevant.

What point are you trying to make there are plenty of games where the killer will try and slug everyone or leave a survivor on the ground to chase someone else....within that 8 seconds while the killer is busy chasing someone else the downed survivor can be back up and healed before he realizes it.

Besides that, if the killer even knows where the Boon is at, or even wants to deal with it for the 100th time. It has already been proven as well that healing perks and med kits are added into the healing speed of CoH unless they fixed that.....

  • @Warcrafter4 said:

From what I have seen most people are fine with the effects of the boons themselves.

People ARE NOT fine with boons being infinite/ lacking a cooldown.

Its old undying but for survivors and how survivors can't see that being an issue when old undying had to be nerfed for being too OP...

Yea I don't really ha e a issue with the powers except CoH needs to be toned down a little bit that can snow ball really quickly.

Survivors have no Risk when it comes to boons. If the killer snuffs it out they can just wait for them to leave to re light it and they can do it as many times as they want. So if the killer wants to get rid of it they will ha e to take time out of their already limited time to hunt down the totems to snuff them only to do it all over again while survivors are doing gens

What power creep tho? Since when is using self-care in the corner a power creep?

Self care isn't the power creep. It's the speed of the heals....you can fully heal someone from downed to full in roughly 8 secs

  • @Kebek said:

I wouldn't mind boon totems beiing good if blessing didn't completely render trap hex perks useless. You literally can't trigger trap hex perks because blessing doesn't count as destroying. If that weren't the case, I would be fine with them.

In the public test haunted ground still activated when blessed.....did they change that.

  • I'm a P Head main and the best I would suggest is try to mind game them more when they get to loops or pallets. Also predicting their movement isn't that hard if you know the loop they are going to use. His trail of torment helps him out alot now with the speed issues.

Its really stupid that this doesn't just work. I feel like just increasing the range for where they can be interacted with is the simplest fix but with how things added break things completely unrelated it wouldn't surprise me if they said it wasn't possible

The issue is the large hit boxes of the killers. They cant fit into the spots where most bones are supposed to spawn where survivors can go.....they need to rework hit boxes but they won't......they need to fix totem spawns......they wont......they need to get brains to think about how their changes will affect the dynamics of their own game......they wont.

  • @RenRen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2594550#Comment_2594550

Like all survivors should have 3 tokens or all of them collectively have 3 tokens? Cause if you mean each one that's 12 tokens in total.

I think they mean each survivor has 3 tokens each which I like. It makes it that survivors will have to think a out how they will use their tokens and being limited they wont want to re light a totem right away

  • @El_Gingero said:

A bot mode would be great and is sort of an expected feature for these types of games, however we are talking about one of the only successful multiplayer games in existence that can get away with only the occasional tiny patch.

We need to hope for some decent competition in the genre to force BHVR to roll up their sleeves and to stop being complacent.

There is one....Prop Hunt/DbD game...no perks no hexes no boons. Just 4 kids items and 3 types of killers with powers.

  • Don't forget they nerfed Thrill of the Hunt so now Killers don't get a notification when someone is messing with a Hex.

And the few of you saying "I don't see a Issue because it only takes a few seconds to snuff out" is not a valid point because those Boons can be re blessed as many times as there are Dull Totems. So if a killer wants to keep those boons under control they have to use up their limited time that they need to apply pressure.

To provide a sense of pride and accomplishment to the player.

    There is no point.

Don't forget to get BP for your rank before they are reset back to 0......

  • The issue isn't her nerfs of her anti mind game changes for me.....its that they removed items that didn't need to be removed and added useless items to her or rebadged items that did exactly the same thing as the new ones.......

Fathers Glasses- Able to see blood trails while phased.

    Replaced with......

Mothers Glasses- No Longer can see scratch marks (just like the Mother Daughter Ring) but instead can get a killer instinct when close to a survivor while phased.

With the new system with her you don't get close enough to get it to trigger. The only reason I can see them removing it is that the Shadow Step boon doesn't hide blood from what i understand so she could still follow them through a boon.

DS...what? No they didn't. They just stopped it from being used offensively in conjunction with lockers. That's not so much a nerf as it is a fix.

OoO is still crazy strong. It's former incarnation was essentially maphacks for SWF groups, and it took endless complaints from basically all the most influential killer players for...what? A year?.

Addons are a different matter. Don't even get me started on killer addon changes (or how many are still worse than an empty slot).

I really don't think I'm misrepresenting the situation at all. One of DbDs biggest flaws is that, historically, the developers have been absurdly survivor favored (remember the flashlight stun fiasco, how long it took to be reverted and how the devs constantly said 'no, we intend it to work this way and won't revert it' despite instant flashlight stuns being obviously broken?).

While they are better now, you only have to look at how frequently survivors DC the second they are hooked or even downed to see the problem. Survivors, especially long-timers, have been taught to expect to escape every match - and when they don't, they struggle to accept it. Especially from killers they've been taught not to worry about (hence Wraith nerf, despite him being mid-tier at best).

It makes it difficult to introduce strong, accessible killers. Especially when you consider that there are significantly more survivor players, meaning they have a direct financial incentive to keep those players engaged, even at the expense of killer mains.

I agree with that....what's worse is that when you get hooked they wont come save you they instead finish gens before considering to walk or crawl to you to unhook you.

Or in my case I loop the killer for a good 3 mins and finally get hooked. No one else got hooked or hit so they were good......I look around and they are all on gens......I'm like I'm good I have some hang time.....then they pop their gens and never came to help me.....I got into struggle as they finish the last gen and after that they just left......the current state of the game is allowing Survivors to rush gens and leave teammates behind to get positive MMR while killers face camp and tunnel to try and get positive MMR.....

I find it fun to use, not a meta build by far but it allows great Gen Knowledge and if you play it right you will have next to no Terror Radius for long periods of time. I try to avoid any hook perks for him because you don't know when you will hook or send them to the cage.

The old system is definitely not better for anyone except for Killers with lot of hours of play.

It constantly threw bad survivors with good survivors and made it simple to get 4ks with Killers because there was always a weak survivor you could take out quickly.

This new system is much much better for survivors. It sucks for Killers who were use to their 4ks.

That is not true in the least unfortunately. The old system better matched proper skill levels than the new one.

What they should do is matches based off of the new ranking system.

Mother Daughter ring basekit. You gotta be kidding me. That add-on should be nerfed.

Spirit's doing just fine after the nerf. The only issue that I see is all of her green add-ons are all memes and should never be run. I'd be down with them reducing Mother Daughter to a 30 percent increase in speed and then make all of her greens just a bit better.

They should just make the Fathers Glasses that they removed for no good reason a base kit for spirit.

  • No your right RPD is a horrible map to keep gen pressure my advise let them have one side of the map. Patrol a section of gens where you can 3 gen effectively.

Range killers are at a big disadvantage on that map, as well as killers with no travel power. Even the jumpscare queen The Hag is at a disadvantage because of the sheer size of it.

  • @Munqaxus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/290005/what-if-exhaustion-gave-a-slight-hindered-penalty

Exhaustion perks are to survivors like gen slowdown perks are to Killers. If you did any nerfs to exhaustion perks, you would be giving killers 4ks every game. Plus, just judging by the last round of nerfs/buffs, it seems like the Developers are thinking survivors are on the weak side and are trying to buff them.

Yea they are soooooo weak lol. That's why I was in a survivor match where a 3 man swf team ran circles around a killer while I did all the gens.

  • @SlothGirly said:

learning to play killers on maps they're bad on is part of the learning curve, and it's what separates the good players from the best players. So I don't think killers should influence map rotations.

I agree with that but there are different item builds and Perk builds for indoor and outdoor maps that I and I'm sure other killers use after getting used to them. I don't want to say have a Billy where my items are better suited for a outdoor map then I get a indoor one and those items are pretty much useless.....maybe at the very least allow the killer to know what map is going to spawn and allow them to switch out like survivors can. At least with that killer has no control over the map unless he uses a offering (if he or she has one).

Now let's say I'm playing Billy and with the above change I mentioned, find out we are playing on the Coldwind Farm map. I set up a outdoor build and ready up. Then when I see the offerings RCPD map offering is used and changes it. That is perfectly fine because a Survivor used their offering to change the venue of the game.

With that example the Killer would know what map they will be playing in unless someone uses a offering to change it. That I think will give some balancing to the game even if it's just a small one.

  • That would be a good idea but I can hear the survivor mains now say "NO THAT GIVES KILLERS TOO MUCH CONTROL WAH WAH WAH". I would say do a setting for a preferred map that increases the chance of that map to spawn in unless a item is used

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

Honestly I still find Michael creepy. When I pan my camera around and see him standing there staring at me gets me every time.

Same here....scares me so bad I usually pop a gen.

  • Ok this has to be bait but if it's not then it's a sad day that after Spirit nerf every killer will be called OP with no counter play just to get them nerfs to be unplayable. The counter play is easy.....don't get hit by the bottles which is easy and don't be stupid enough to run into the gas. His throwing arc is worse than Huntress and his range isn't that great. Most Clown players know this so they usually "herd" survivors to where they want them.....

Example....annoying jungle gym loop or window hop a Clown will toss his bottle at the loop or window to keep survivors from using it.

Clown is a low rank killer because his power needs a QoL buff of some kind to go along with the increasing "skill" level of survivors. The Arc and Range need tweaking at the very least....I cant hit ######### with the base arc and find myself using the fingerless gloves to get better hits and accuracy.

Nope. I still haven't changed my mind. Boons are perfectly fine and can hurt more than the help at times.

Then you haven't faced good boon players or a swf team of boon users.......Boons are a bigger time waster for killers than survivors..

(also, wraith should probably on that list, since the Bing bong is the most grievous offender for m1 fakes)

    Honestly, I don't have a problem, but that's how I see it.

What do you mean.....I'm just letting the survivors know its dinner time.

  • Eh not excited tbh. The PTB madevme shutter. Boons will be abused, even with the changes to then the Devs didn't fix the underlying issue.....their spawn placement.

  • @Bran said:

Just because the devs say 2 is fine, doesn't mean 2 is fine 🤷

Yea but that is the average....the issue is with a score like that neither killer or survivor should get a increase or decrease to MMR because no one wine or lost it was a tie

  • The issue I have with the MMR is not the casual play gone, because I still get those. The main issue I have is how inconsistent the MMR is.....I can get one or two matches with low skill survivors and get a 4k then suddenly get match with the most toxic SWF team ever that trolls me every time. Then I get dropped back to those low skills again. There is no in between.

  • I only tunnel for 3 reasons only.....

    1. Borrowed Time - If your taken off the hook and decide to be cheeky and body block your my target.

    2. Key - If I see you bring in a key your going to die a slow and painful death until I'm sure that key is gone. (At least until the Hatch and Key fix happens then if you bring a key hey no problem)

    3. If your that annoying toxic player that flashlight stunned me or just annoyed the ever loving crap out of me then you will be tunnel, then hooked, and finally face camped till your as good as dead.... after that I'll let all the other survivors go free just to spite you.

If you don't fall into those three categories then no tunneling from me.

If the distance is not an issue, why is 'Dead Hard' for distance considered one of the most powerful plays by a majority of the community, pros and normies alike?

Its powerful because of the surprise and can negate ANY attack. If you time it right you can get out of some dire straights. The way around it is to mind game them and let them use it too soon. Then they cant use it again until they rest for 60secs.

  • @Raccoon said:

That doesn't effect Dead Hard 'for distance' at all.

Can you please elaborate on how to mind game Dead Hard 'for distance?'

You'd be doing the entire community a huge service and would stop many complaints about the lack of counter-play to Dead Hard 'for distance.'

Once you know Dead Hard is in play its easy....each Survivor has a tell when they use it. Play around purposely miss hits to see when they use it, so when they think your going to strike let them use it then attack.....even attack a few seconds after the animation for dead hard starts if times right you'll lunge attack and hit them as the animation finishes. Just like mind gaming them on cold wind farm on the combine loop

The ranking system does not motivate . It gives me the feeling why play. I get rewarded 250000 bloodpoints wow in one game i receive 32000 bloodpoints. I do play a lot of DBD over 2300 hours . But now it feels stupid to play. I hope and know there are a lot of players who feel the same : LET THE CUSTOMER SERVICE KNOW YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS.

We should all bow to your DbD skills to make so many BP in one game is all inspiring.....but when they first were talking about the change we all knew what was going to happen........

OLD RANKING SYSTEM- You raised your rank to be matched against plays of similar rank. When you reached certain milestones your rank didn't drop below a certain spot so you didn't have to raise it back up so far, but got nothing for raising your rank.

NEW RANKING SYSTEM- Everyone starts off each reset back to lowest rank each month. It shows off your real skills to get back up to what ever your highest rank was and try to push past it further. Your no longer matched with players with similar rank that's what the new "SBMM" is for (which is a complete joke tbh). Players get rewarded for their progress.

In the end I like the new ranking system it allows me to strive to be better and shoot higher. I think the amount of BP should be a bit higher and MM should be based off the ranks. To he honest if you play as much as you say and make as much as you make reaching top rank wont take you long. So I don't see a issue with your argument.....

  • Yea MMR is causing problems everywhere but if you keep playing you should have a few games that will be fine......
