  • I can't do it on Xbox.. it doesn't state which snowman or men they all look the same.

  • Survivor Main here and let me say I absolutely understand tactical slugging and tunneling. I don't get mad about it because I understand it. I get mad when I am on the ground bleeding out with my teammates and getting humped by the killer just because they can. I usually crawl to the nearest hook.

Now as far as MM it's a mess. It seems that I get my Survivor rank in my killer games and it's unbearable. I get loads of toxic play and I only play two games a day of killer if that. I don't understand how one can do a gen by themselves in less than a minute with no gen perks and the sabo squads yuck. I can genuinely understand the slug strategy with who I go up against. But not all games are like that and I never slug I will just let it go.

The main reason I feel is that slugging meta is more popular on the North American servers so that's only a small portion of players. It isn't this widespread problem because only very few players are doing it in the whole community but it will cause that player count drop in that area. My suggestion is make slugging punishable by some means. If the killer allows two people to bleed out for over 2 minutes then lock the ability to play killer only Survivor. Make deer stalker bk after 60 seconds. This can also be for two games in a row not just one, this will separatethe sluggers from the players. There should be no reason to bleed out someone unless the squad is toxic or tactics prevent you from hooking.

7/8 Blights in a row who all play the exact same...this must be mildly exaggerated.

It isn't I have had this happen to me. It's rare but it seems they all watch the same streamer and play the same.

  • No it isn't there which is going to make the event miserable. TOH is way to strong with killers going in with a full Hex build. Hex builds were big a few months ago and they died out, now they are back with no counter with TOH. Every game I have that he killer uses this build comes at 3K to 4K.

As I have began to play more and more killer, I have seen survivors do things that had me go "Seriously?!? What are you doing?! Don't do that!". Like after I've hooked a survivor, I haven't gone away more than probably 5 meters, when someone unhooks them. You can wait for longer before unhooking. Wait at least till you don't hear the terror radius anymore before you go unhook.

As a killer, who actively tries to avoid tunneling, it just baffles me how so many survivors just throw themselves in front of me. They start to run immediately when they hear my terror without knowing where I am. And many times I have been accused of tunneling… Usually by SWF's who wear the same character and skins. Since us Killer players do not see individual hookstates on survivors, accidental and unintentional tunneling does happen from time to time. Are there players who start to tunnel intentionally right in the beginning? Yes, there are, but I can safely say that those players aren't majority.

But the fact is, if you try to play nice and fair as a killer, it usually means you're in a disadvantage from the beginning and there is a 75% chance that you will not get any kills during that game. Especially if you're going against well coordinated team or players who know what they're doing.

My killer matches are highly bullied ones or survivors doing dumb things there is no in between. With the amount of terrible bully matches I get I can highly understand the way most killers play. If you're constantly going up against squads or just a hole survivors you're going to play for blood. It's player toxicity and it's on both sides.

My survivor matches I'm tunneled but I do get the ones that don't chase. I semi decent at looping but my teammates are doing NOTHING. Match loss is a mixture of survivors and killers.

Correct - the fact that you saw the same build 3 games in a row definitively proves that nobody in the entire community has an original thought 🙄

They copy their builds from streamers. Then they get over used, nerfed, cry about it. Wash, Rinse, repeat.

At least my Killer build is mine 😆

  • Currently MMR is out of whack coupled by the lack of players. Survivors are low in supply and even when I play killer I'm getting squads or players that are way better than me. When I'm survivor it really is hit or miss. Yesterday I spent most matches bleeding out at 5 gens for no reason. But hey MMR is a mystery and maybe doesn't exist or the player pool is too low to implement it correctly.

Welcome to DBD where rules are made up and the points don't matter.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/434392/people-finally-started-to-realize-that-unknown-was-overrated

Unknown's biggest problem is that the "staring at the Unknown" mechanic doesn't actually require staring. Survivors can just quickly flick their camera towards the Unknown for very small periods of time, and they still get 100% non-stop revealing time, because the reveal buffer is super survivor sided. And if a survivor briefly sees the Unknown as it walks past a small hole in a wall, that still triggers the full reveal buffer's worth of time too.

This also means that the Unknown can't easily duck behind various objects while it is chasing a survivor, because the reveal buffer is so long that the survivor is still revealing the Unknown even when they can't see it.

The result is there is a lot of places where Unknown just can't use its UVX, because it can't realistically land a 2nd UVX shot before the survivor cleanses the 1st UVX.

This maybe true for PC but on console it's actually harder to rid yourself of that. He's also not easy with blowing his snot at a good shot. But that's console vs PC we are very one directional with everyone like that.

BHVR isn't a small company unless your definition of small is everyone who isn't AAA.

They aren't a publicly traded company and I am not familiar with Canadian law but it does not seem like they are required to release quarterly reports. It looks like some companies (Netease) own a minority share of BHVR.

Public steam numbers of their player count are very healthy.

You don't have to be publicly traded to have investors. It's a tricky thing really. Steam numbers are healthy but low for a healthy game. You need to consider EA, Microsoft and console players. They make up the bigger portion rather than Steam numbers.

  • My slugging games have greatly increased and it is making me not want to play anymore. Unbreakable is only good once and if you have a slugger if you get up by any means your going right back down so it's useless imo. I sincerely feel slugging like this is greifing for the simple reason there is a hook, there is no reason a killer can't hook and wait it out. Slugging to draw out another player is useless as many don't even attempt to rescue anyone because it's a common tactic. Also hooks now regenerate so there is really only rare cases where slugging should take place.

Problem is this is the easiest way to secure a 4k and this has spiraled out of control. With all these perks out there you don't need to slug every game and every player. Another issue is that slugging is more prominent and people just don't want to waste their time anymore bleeding out of the ground. Less survivors are out there but that's on the devs for allowing it.

  • I don't think it's Ghostface, it's just the way people are anymore. They would rather die on a hook than be bled out for the mori. People just don't want to play well anymore.

  • I usually ignore them and save them for last. 9 out of ten times they aren't as good as they think and with you ignoring them throws them off. I even had one message me "Chase me bro". They ended up on a hook. I love it when they have a flashlight then it misses and they dc on first hook.

  • So a smaller company like this more than likely has investors. These investors require quarterly reports. Now the thing I noticed is that special events and sales happen towards the end of the quarter. This will boost player count so they can go to the investors with high numbers. Not only that cosmetics more than likely pull in more money, these are released frequently but the event linked items again towards the end of the quarters. Notice how now the tomes are actually back to back with special events mixed in. This to me indicates there was a huge player slump and they need to keep that flow. Most gamers of the current age have fomo and it's all about the limited edition cosmetics. However these past Halloween ones have all of you looking like glowing targets for the killer but you look cute so that's what matters.

It isn't about reviews its about money.

Third so if someone wanted to find out what the reviews where all about the can go and pull it up on any creator and see nicely edited video's because even negative reviews is good publicity. These nicely edited reviews will show wins with ease from either side having people question why the negative reviews. Then a person maybe inclined to purchase to see for themselves.

It is a confusing cycle but for the current base if you stop spending money then you will see real changes.

  • Console issues have been slowly unraveling. I am on Xbox and it started with invisible skill checks and pallets not being able to be pulled down. Last update was killer hit boxes I have to be right on topof someone and the rightto get a hit, but when I am a survivor the can hit me from 10 feet away lol. This time they added those you mentioned. I don't know about chem trap because I don't use it. Ohhh and the lag on both sides is terrible (not my internet either), I will be chasing someone and mid chase they are all of a sudden Houdini and are behind me. I know they are aware of issues becauseit was brought up in the latest survey.

it seems to be the most challenging thing to implement but, I honestly think that a more successful implementation of MMR matching is probably the only solution.

let’s say for example, the game balances around higher MMR - the argument is that it will make soloQ and casuals even more unbearable in some cases (not all - as @Reinami illustrated with an example of how a nerf/adjustment to shack might make affect higher MMR swf more directly, though may not impact lower MMR survivors (who may not be able to run it efficiently anyway and get downed regardless of the strength of shack).

All of this really leads to the solution truly being making matchmaking more relevant and then whatever changes or balances will affect players proportionately.

Otherwise, what will happen is that the strong swfs will probably find a solution to win no matter what advice or strategies given. The whole slug, camp and tunnel for the win will definitely work.. but on the lower level soloQ and casuals who are the ones that don’t need that strategy done on them to win anyway?

If you want to balance at the top, make it so the top players truly face each other. Otherwise it genuinely makes the game less and less viable for lower level players (like myself).

A killer won’t know who they’ll face so they go in with the intent to face swfs and therefore will want to play with maximum efficiency. Then they’ll realise midway that they are just stomping solos but because some may have lost to swf, pent up anger or frustration leads to them raking it out on lower casuals anyway. These casuals will either stop playing, or in turn, crank up their own sweat builds to counter and thus continues the cycle of misery.

best solution is to improve match making first and then balance in whatever way needed

MMR matchmaking does not exist I am convinced of this. It's like just throwing people in the next que and that's it.

I will be the first I am not the greatest at killer but two patches ago I was ranked pretty evenly with the teams (not winning all but etching out at least a 1k each game if not 3). Since then I am going against teams and it's just amazing the gens that fly. Or it's what you said all the casual decent players are dropping off and you're left with the sweats and not so nice players. I see this in soloq too. I'm not one to hang around but most do or in almost all of my games it's dumb players. It isn't burn out because I am playing less and less just the way everyone is playing. Having a match last only 2 minutes isn't fun, the killer is weaving in and out of the face camp so your meter isn't going up. Teammates that run the killer into you while on a gen or going in and out of a locker. It's as if the only ones playing are hardcore killer mains and lazy players or sweats. It's becoming unpopular to play.

No, not comparing just saying that players or society as a whole are to comfortable insulting or destroying someone's fun without feedback persay. Do you really think someone would tell someone to unalive themselves face to face. Or if they are playing a game together just quit because it didn't go their way? More than likely not.

Please explain what someone playing Mario kart could've possibly done to warrant physical violence? Was using a blue shell considered being mean?

So my cousins would all play. They used to gang up on the little one, who had anger issues and throw their shells at him. This was before when you could fall off the edge. He got mad threw the controller and hurled himself on top of one them throwing punches. He was 6. I laughed but after I broke it up. When he used to get mad he called you a fartchatcher, really mad you were a pe'erhead. I swept the leg of the chair of a guy who was screen watching me during halo lol.

Interesting. If I had to hazard a guess, the game just isnt fun anymore. With BHVR's constant botches with releases, perks, the game as a whole, updates and whatever else they do, there's no way to make it fun anymore. Survivor is just miserable to play if you aren't apart of a SWF. None of these things happen when you get SWFs right? I'd assume as much. But I'd like to hear! :)

Just because someone on a forum says something is happening, doesn't mean it is. Not saying you are wrong by any means, just that you're a rando on a forum. Everyone is.

I try to not be toxic at every turn, hoping to charm the killer into only killing me. Doesn't always work, and after the Mori change, now they just kill me last, to mori.

The game continues to evolve, and If I look back at say.. even 2020, It's not been for the best imo. The same damn things keep happening, just with a different wrapper. And while we are always at one another's throats, BHVR is the one whom we should all be up in arms about. This is actually crazy to me.

So I only play with one other person. My husband did play but stopped because he was getting tunneled out every game and he just wasn't having fun. That with pain from his neck and arm it wasn't worth it. Now my son and I played and the poor kid was actually gave camped and tunneled his second game. He was mad but he just quit and went to something else. We both taught him how to play and both of us are golden age gamers. There is a difference in SWF and soloq and I have had some really good matches in soloq. The thing that gets me is thay if it's only a duo once one goes out the other purposesly goes out.

Sadly, these are the kind of people that have been completely burned out of the game and feel miserable for any kind of changes the devs do to this game. And their only way to cope with this, is that they're trying to make everyone else feel as bad as them to justify their actions to themselves and trying to prove themselves "See?! I told you this game is bad and the devs do not know what they're doing and etc. etc…."

If you feel bad and miserable playing this game, then leave and stop spreading the negativity, toxicity and sadness to other players. And if these feelings are being caused by something other stuff in your life, then seek professional help. You are not alone

Video Games in general, reading, music, and movies are all forms of escape from reality. I think the lines blur though with online games because we as a human race have become much more comfortable with saying and doing things behind a screen without consequences. People can't see how actions effect others nor do they care. The technology age is great but it came at a cost of empathy. Also not only online games just online behavior in general. I come from a generation where of you wanted to play with someone they were next to you and if screen watched your chair was getting it's leg swept out. I have broken up physical fights over Mario kart. I think that's why I have such a divide with today's gamers they have been left unchecked with no sportsmanship and no repercussions of their actions.

  • @thrkeybs said:

How exactly do you propose that BHVR "addresses

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3849909#Comment_3849909

    This is your answer.

Why would survivors play when the fundamental design of survivor is so punishing?

That leads to bad sportsmanship, and players constantly DCing or dying on hook. There's no carrot on the stick for the majority of players in every match.

And anyone saying "address the community's attitude" is a distraction. BHVR can't change people, they can only change their game design to promote favored actions. But this is entirely the point: their game design is what causes this game state we're living with.

So I agree with this. I think the BP needs to be changed. Regardless new players or not thrive for BP. Killer pays off way more than being tunneled out as survivor.

So give bigger BP for doing gens (you know the actual point of the game). BP bonus for doing more than 1 and so on. Chase BP is good. Remove the unlocking and escape bonus orcut them in half. More times than not you see deadbeat players do absolutely nothing but get more BP than you because they pulled the exit gate and escaped. Give a bonus if your repeatedly hooked in a short time.

As for killer increase BP for spreading hooks, BP multiplier for long chases and hooking someone other than the last person within a time frame (60 seconds should be good). Give a bonus for opening the gate.

    Changes

If the gate is 99 and not open regress it. There is no reason not to pull a gate. I know some killer perks are endgame but serious folks just pull out and leave.

If you're in the gate and not leaving after 45 seconds your exposed and the entity blocks the gate if a player gets downed. This will also secure a kill if need be.

If a player does not do anything in a game matchmaking is blocked for 24 hour.

Get rid of unhooking face camp. Instead expand the radius 10 meters and add 10 seconds of deliverance each time the killer walks or stand in the circle the timer won't count down. This also increases chase and allows team mates not try and waste time by getting you and they can do gens. If you're hooked the entire game then at end game collapse you can unhook and recieve a massive distraction bonus.

I've had multiple matches with teammates not doing anything, or throwing the game on purpose in the first 2 minutes. When that doesn't happen, it's a smashing success for us. It's a matter of willpower and maturity, things that this community falls short in. I'm hoping more people are waking up to why survivor matches go south. The killer has little, or even nothing, to do with it.

    I'm going with maturity.

My thing is if your not going to play or play decent not to ruin someone's experience just don't play. If you're playing to be a troll you have a wasteful life to be bothered to ruin other people's time.

  • @MrMori said:

Thrill is getting nerfed for sure, I wouldn't even worry about it. They'll look at the stats and realize that they overtuned it.

The distortion nerf was warranted btw, it was too good at countering aura reading. But at the same time, the reason why everyone ran it was because almost every killer info perk recently has been aura reading recently, which is still a bit of a problem.

This is exactly why I added on my build. I never used it until about 6 months before it was nerfed.

  • Normally I would agree with you but it's how these killers adapt. Nobody likes to lose or be outplayed but there are no healthy games anymore. Either survivors go in with a means to just chase after the killer or do things to intentionally that a killer is reduced to feel every game is a 4 swf and the play will be toxic. Not only that there are so many subtle hacks on both sides its way out of hand. Killers started slugging for no reasons so all the normal players left because no one wants to put up with it. Now it's a custom reaction to how survivors play.

  • Steam is only a fraction of the players. Majority play killer so you need more survivors than killer. No one wants to play survivor very much and the ones that do are either toxic, lazy, or they are trying but get set back by useless teammates. Survivor isn't attractive anymore.

Fr - it feels like survivor players playing bad on purpose, or just don't care to try at all. The devs can't fix that.

They can't fix it but it's going to make all the other players leave. They need to enforce their bad sportsmanship. I barely play killer and I had a game.where a squad refused to leave just torment me. It is happening every game. It also feels as if I'm not matched up correctly. When I play survivor same thing. It's like the potatoes need to be harvested.

The thing is there were never any asymmetrical games out there but now there are. Yes DBD has a solid player base but at this point they don't have the loyal ones like they used to. Now it's just bad spuds.

  • Honestly 90% of survivors are toxic or don't do anything. Nobody wants to play with them. Maybe address player behavior and so something about it. Killers are slugging and tunneling because majority of survivors are being toxic so they go into every match thinking this. I am about to change my killer load out because I'm sick of it.

OP has a point. The game has changed in a way that incentivises survivors to play in ways that make slugging more effective.

The choice of words, that survivors are at fault is suboptimal but it's a ripple effect. The devs changed the meta game, which changed survivor play styles to become more efficient. This will always lead to killers adapting in one way or another and in this case it's slugging.

Just this once, it's not actually the question of the chicken and the egg where we don't know where it started. It started with survivors becoming weaker in comparison to killers, which meant that survivors had to adapt first.

I agree. I play very little killer so I'm low tier but these survivors within the last few months are just poor sports. I don't like it and I understand why killers play the way the do. I still don't into I feel the match out. I also know hacking is on the rise and it's a huge if not major problem. But survivors adapted first and then killers. However it lays with the devs for not looking at the entire problem and only a select section.

  • I agree. By herself without the dog she's weak. The dog needs to be put down. There is no actual counter aside from a teammate stopping the dog. Devs don't play soloq that much because it's literally the Hunger Games.

Your assessment is definitely not wrong :/

Honestly though, I play a decent amount as killer and almost never get teabagged at gate anymore. Maybe it's that my playstyles don't lead to survivors gloating? But seems to not really happen now. It could be a combination of having very few matches where more than one survivor is around once a gate gets opened, or that if I'm not actively in chase as I approach the gate, I'll do one of two things: (i) approach from the side to see if I can catch someone off-guard, or (ii) go to a place where the survivor(s) can see me and meme at them.

But as survivor, there's no way around the endgame mori. You're right that the numbers can giveore info. Anecdotally though, I don't even remember the last time I was given hatch. Feels like it doesn't happen anymore.

I do and I'm low level on the killer side. Survivors are just nasty. I really don't like playing the game that much anymore. If I load into survivor 9 games out of 10 I'm slugged for the mori or just slugged. If I load in as killer I will get spammed with the flashlight, tbagged, or the squad so start crouch around me so I can't hook. I don't tunnel, slug, or proxy camp but I really understand why killers do. The whole DBD community more toxic gameplay than anything.

While she is nowhere near overpowered, people also seem to underestimate her. She is not the worst killer in the game, she just has a high skill ceiling.

I agree with this. I always say the devs underestimate their player base. I went up against her a few times. Once the killer didn't tunnel, proxy camp, or slug and rarely used the dog. That round ended up in me only escaping with 1 gen left. Now the others is that stupid dog. It needs a cooldown and more times than not she is walking up to while the dog still has you in a grip so your downed. The dog being able to vault pallets and windows is to strong. I just realized you could rescue someone but by the time you get there she's right there and there are two teammates down. She isn't the best nor the worst. She is OP in the sense she makes it easier to slug, camp, and tunnel but take that away she's nothing. Many players think they are superior but if you give her to a nurse main, she's weak. Then there is the PC console divide, she's harder to counter and utilize her on console. They need to stop making complex killers for a basic game.

  • I don't like that fact she can attack you while using the dog. It's way to over powered in that sense. All these killers are doing is proxy camping with the dog and downing you. Is this killer thought through?

I've noticed this as well. I believe it's a built in exit block for anyone caught by Snug in the gate. I'm not sure how long it last, but it keeps an injured survivor from escaping if they're caught by Snug.

They need to rethink this. Her and the dog can block the entire entrance. I understand it though.

  • Here is the thing there simply is not enough people playing survivor. Majority play soloq and it's miserable. 2V8 was fun because you couldn't have dead weight teammates, it was easier t handle the killer, and it was pretty even in winning vs losing. Survivors can't be camped or tunneled (mostly) in 2v8 and even if the killers didn't they still won. My wait time in 1v4 killer was easily over 15 minutes during this time.

People don't want useless teammates, to be camped, tunneled and bodyblocked for the kill. It isn't game mechanics it's the players. I came back to soloq today and it was miserable enough to want me to quit and never look back.

The majority across forums and boards are majority of killer mains so of course they don't want 2v8. More people play killer because it's easier and they can get away with more and be lazy as well. All of you saying don't play fine we won't and then come the survivor buffs and you all cry.

  • Here is a question. I was just in a match with her and of course I was body blocked for the exit but as soon as she entered she got her dog on me and I couldn't leave. Understandable I couldn't leave with the dog but after I was free of the dog I still couldn't leave it was blocked. Why?

My main concern with many of these statements is that they place all the blame solely on the players, particularly killers, for employing certain strategies. These strategies didn’t emerge because killers wanted to annoy survivors; they developed over thousands of hours as a response to the current state of game balance. When survivors play at a competent and efficient level, the game can progress so quickly that even securing a single hook can feel like it costs the killer the match.

The solution isn’t to keep patching these issues with add-ons or surface fixes but to look at the overall balance of the game. Fun, diverse playstyles should be rewarded on both sides, ensuring neither is made overly weak while encouraging a fair and engaging experience for everyone.

Efficiency drives the meta on both sides, and these strategies are often a necessity rather than a choice.

I agree and disagree. There are not enough players on survivor side to correctly matchmake if that even exists lol. The problem I see is newer players tend to watch creators play this game. More times than not creators do crap things instead of trying to play the game. I have seen face camping for the mori, slugging at 5 gens, tunneling. Most of the time there is no reason for it. I view tunneling, slugging, and camping to be reserved for certain playstyles.

To be honest survivor is not fun. Even game is tunneling from the get go so who really wants to keep being out 2 minutes because the killer has an aura build. This is majority of the games too. Instead of a killer realizing you can easily turn a game around at 2 gens they tend to mass murder at 5 gens.

As killer you tend to get survivors more who are salty and feel that all killers are the same and play that way. You are going to want use these tactics because of this.

The game has a serious streamer problem and player problem. There is no way to fix this either.

  • I agree. Though the new survivor and killer have weak rehashed perks. Invocation is the worst perk. For one the killer always tunnels the Invocation person and more times than not second phase happens because someone's in the basement, someone's being chased and the other is hiding. Invocation from Sable is rarely used too so I don't know why they would do another one.

I used to get the DM Screen badge that got released with Vecna confuses with the employee badge.

It's also possible the killer was a subtle cheater who hacked in all the badges including the employee one.

There is also the possibility that it was an employee, but I think that's less likely than a confusing badge or a subtle cheater

I was thinking that. The only other time I saw that badge was on VoidTodos and that was a super fun match.

It's survivor sided because of the immense number of pallets, lightning fast gens, incredibly fast heals etc. That's why lol

Then why does killer have to wait and not survivor? I feel it's balanced it's just how you play.

There is a very simple explanation. SBMM doesn't work. You are simply paired with the next person waiting in the queue regardless of their MMR score.

It isn't that it doesn't work it's lack of players so you que up with whoever. With all the changes made to survivor most are unwilling to adapt or try. The changes made benefits SWF more than soloq and soloq is the most played. The also have made so many aura perks the killer can find you on seconds so hiding is not logical anymore. Also they have let tunneling, camping, and slugging go on for far too long . Simple things are broken and but fixed.

The 'reason' will change depending on what works best for the killer main you would be talking to. There is no reason. A player chooses to slug, and they can't just say that, they need to have some scapegoat like BHVR or Survivors did this or that.

The reasons I slug is in how the team plays. There can be a sabo squad making it impossible to hook, there was once a group who purposesly hung around an area with no hooks, just toxic things. However this doesn't happen every game and it's rare

  • It is a special Mode so there is no mmr.

  • Pay attention to how the killers play. You can tell if they are working together or not. I have had no win situations as a survivor but more matches end up in escape.

Make survivor role fun and viable which the devs have kinda done with this mode but killers don't like that so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Exactly! I'm not understanding why people are saying this is survivor sided. Is it because you can't proxy camp or tunnel? I have been tunneled a handful of times but this matches are over quickly. Thing is of the killers work together the match is quicker. I found the most popular way for killers to play is together around the board so I stay behind them. There are some questionable things and having two killers that can super speed the board isn't fun but overall this is more fun that 1v4. I think the killers that complain are the tunnelers and proxy campers.

  • I don't feel wraith is OP, he just feels that way because of the way people play him. I would say he is best used for bodyblocking while cloaked. Yes they are notorious of camping the hook cloaked. If played without those features he's fair. There are some add ons that could use a nerf but very few. I feel he's fine. In 2V8 though yeah he's super charged and not fun especially when paired with the Spirit or Nurse.

I thought I read that they changed that this iteration. They made it so killers couldn’t loiter near cages to make them constantly teleport and prevent saves. That was heavily abused last iteration.

It was but it's still abused. I really think the whole thing is bugged because there is no sprint burst, there is no healing boost and I teleport sometimes. The survivor things happen a handful of times.

  • I really feel they don't have enough survivors to split and there are more people in general that play killer. If the incentive was there more people may tend to play 2v8.

From a survivor stand point your matches go either way. The fact they added the Blight is a huge turn off for the average player let alone Blight on Steroids. The amount of matches where there are 4 players left is frequent and no one is doing a gen and the killers are usually slugging for the 8K. Then the fact that cages don't teleport when a survivor is around, that's stupid because the survivor is being chased. I have died more times that way than actually being hung three times. They also added the oblivious selection on killer and that isn't fun either. Not only are these killers on steroids they are undetectable as well. More and more killers are dominating the wins because they are working together so no matter who you are as survivor you're getting killed.

I do find this to be survivor sided in the beginning but it seems as though killers are teaming up more or figuring out how to clear the board. I feel it is slightly tipped in the KWF way but it is what it is.

As for the amount of slugging, not being rescued, and majority of the killers flying to where everyone was caged it isn't fun as a whole for survivors. That being said most will play 1v4 because their odds are better.
