It is more that they are putting a 20 DC limit then you will be banned for the season or rift. Now ok that is fair but these also include server drops and hackers so it isn’t cool.
-
While yes people with disabilities know their limits. Some won’t play certain games because of it. I know Call of Cthulhu messes with my husband’s head and we won’t play it. However it in a game that has a variant of killers it’s a toss up on who you will get. It’s really on BHVR to make appropriate changes so all can enjoy, if they implement this. Now people with disabilities could go next or DC but with them implementing a 20 DC limit that’s harsh. Especially with the servers dropping to add to it.

It seems like the anti tunnel /camp updates were supposed to go out at the same time as go next prevention as they said the game will detect if u are just throwing urself at the killer to be killed off fast, but what about if the killer is just tunneling you that fast, youd end up with a dc penalty. Meanhile if antitunnel was in that might be allot less likely to happen
that is my point . From a survivor standpoint what is the purpose of playing when you are being targeted especially from the start and you last 3 minutes. It takes longer to load into the game than you actually played. There is no point.
I also made this post after there were two people clearly working with the killer and BHVR needs to do start actually doing someone about that. I have seen it increase more and more.
Also being a soloq survivor and if you are matched with swf of any kind more than likely they won’t go out of their way to help you. Some do most don’t. I think clear changes to soloq is needed and possibly restricting SWFs to 2 or 4 and only pair them with others. Yes I know that is extreme but it will level the ground.
-
yes it is a rare glitch but it can happen

Plus accessibility issues. Do you hate going against The Ghoul because you think he's OP and unfair? Suck it up.
Are you unable to face The Doctor because his flashing lights and other effects cause you physical harm? This is a problem BHVR needs to address and in the mean time you should NOT be punished for needing to leave the game.
Are you unable to play against The Clown due to Coulrophobia? Fair, there should be something implemented to combat this, I am not sure what, but I'm not a developer.
Anyone who says anything like "If you aren't willing to play against a certain killer for any reason, you shouldn't be playing DBD at all." is an ableist.yes very true. Someone on a feed said the refuse to play against The Dredge because it triggers their PTSD.
There are to many variables to put in a thing like this.

We must have a spare PS4 or Switch around here somewheres...
I have a 360 and a Nintendo still but a lot of games are not backwards compatible with my PS3 and 360 for that matter. My husband may sell his DSLite though lol

I thought it was lag but yeah same here

Overwatch 2 also has a 20 match penalty reset. If it is anything like theirs you are stuck with the penalty until you play out the 20 matches. The funny thing though is Overwatch 2 has a more lenient penalty for Unranked, Backfills and you leaving affects a greater number of people. BHVR seems to be taking a more Authoritarian approach to band-aid the cause.
but doesn’t Overwatch have two different modes? That is the complete difference.
I also feel that this is will ruin the existing player morale and no survivors will be left. Killers have already voiced against playing bots but unfortunately that is what will be left or the super toxic players.

You are actually complaining about a killer sided game and when they split game modes finally realize no one wants to play survivor? It’s common sense you need more survivors than killers but the wait times prove no one wants to play survivor and most are only playing for the 300 bonus. If it wasn’t for the bonus I don’t think very many would play 2v8 this time. Oni and Legion being one but it seems aura reading is constant. Not only that we spend more time slugged than anything
-
I think the only change is to remove the notification of people getting traps off and allow the pig to gain extra traps. Otherwise I feel she’s good.
-
2v8 is repetitive and unfun this time around. 1v4 is a sluggfest. Guess I will wait until this mode is over to play again
-
so one killer says it’s working but there is more proof it isn’t. I have watched while my teammates are across the Board and the killer is circling and I still don’t move.
-
Oni and legion are the reason why. It isn’t because everyone wants to be him more people would rather play 1v4 than face them

Many survivors manage to escape in this game mode, so they must consider that they are having a great time. "Win = Fun", is all they understand and the direction they have taken since the second iteration.
this but the past few days I have had to wait, not long for survivor to que up. This tells me there are not ad many players as there was

The killer queue will be an hour by Sunday at this rate. It's literally nothing but slugging Oni's every single match and you pair him up with a Legion he has fury up all game long. Just not a good experience at all he needs major nerfs
this is what makes it boring. Oni with another killer isn’t bad. Yesterday I had an Oni take all three of us in one hit. It was pretty cool but a bit to much unbalanced.
-
I chose the aura one and it took me about 6 games. I am hit or miss with a flashbang and I am terrible with a flashlight. I do get that this particular challenge was an extreme one. That being said the blind thing out there a lot of killer would equip lightborn. This is also a way for people to play both sides and I feel it is to really get a sense on the toxicity. Also if the rift was better you may have more people trying. This is a Midsommer rift and I am really not interested.
-
I tried and it didn’t complete the challenge for me
-
how do we add old rift challenges????? Also we can’t rate our games anymore

Personally, if they wanna implement something so that staying in the gate instead of leaving is risky (as to reduce the number of survivors who endlessly wait so that you see them tbag before they leave), I'm fine with it. But what I dislike is that they're giving these gate blocking mechanics* to specific killers, instead of creating a base-kit mechanic for all killers. It's neglecting the older killers and giving all the shiny new toys to the new ones.
*Deathslinger being a menace at the gate does not count because it's not that the gate is blocked, it's the way his power works pulling you out of it. I'm referring to killers getting some sort of mechanic that actually blocks the exit.
I agree with this. There needs to be an across the board gate stalking feature instead of individual killers. I have been the subject of just running towards the exit and get nailed and then I'm hung. I don't wait in the gates if everyone is there. I will heal or take a protective hit if an injured survivor is running towards the gate. The fact that individual killers have that feature is furthermore preventing a save like that and leads to more deaths.
So if a survivor is lingering in the gate not healing for 20 seconds gates are blocked and survivor exposed. There is aboutly no reason if all remaining survivors are at the gate to linger, no reason for healing just leave.
By the way I am a survivor main and hate the fact that other survivors do this. I ditch because there is literally no reason for it.
-
From a survivor stand point the abandon needs work. Now if all survivors are going to lose and we just want to end the match early why should we have to sacrifice our bonus?? We know it's a no win situation so as we bleed out we have to wait for the bonus??? I understand losing whatever you brought in because that's fair. It isn't like a survivor can just abandon when they feel like either.
as for a killer the same thing. If there are no gens done between the last two survivors because they are holding out why should a killer get punished for it??? The killer isn't holding up the game the survivors are. Also if everyone is a bot why should the killer get punished because bots are terrible and they can predict movement so there's no room for human error.
The changes that are needed is everyone keeps their bonuses and it shouldn't count as a loss for a killer.
-
I use lightborn in my killer build. I find it useful because everyone brings a flashlight. My eyes are sensitive too so the flashlight blinding hurts my eyes. I don't care if a killer uses it either. I understand flashlights are usually abused in some way

I’m basically 2 hooking everyone and letting them go to help with their scoring since gen scoring is by survivor definition and logic “wonky”. Some survivors are dropping cans for me to kick which is really nice.
I just discovered you can kick cans and I had a survivor fill them up for me.

I was informed on a Facebook page that you can pay a low fee for speed and aura hacks. I mean I think it's time they get a little more stern on this.
-
The only killers I feel are OP are Ghoul, Venca, Dracula, and Blight (although he's counterable). The reason people hate Skull Merchant is because she camp silently with her stupid drones. I myself don't have an issue playing against her it's just that she has people playing her abusing her silent power. Also they just don't take the time to learn she can be counter able and give up.
I feel it's more player exhaustion on the tunneling and camping playstyles as well. Certain killers/players it's easier to counter and others are just going in expecting this and quit.
-
I never understood why people cheat at video games. It makes no sense to me because of you are that bad then don't play.

I do probably get out at least 40% of my games (if we're including hatch)
Official stats maybe Official but discounting any game with a DC (of which there are many) is always going to put stats more where they'd like them.
Stats might be stats but they can be easily manipulated to look a certain way depending on the data the user chooses.
Last time I did a full year of stats my escape rate was 57% (playing every survivor using only adept perks) over 10,000 games
I intend to do to that again starting with the next chapter as its survivor only & ghoul fever might have calmed down by then hopefully making killer pick data a bit more relevant.
Full roster adept only (no items) 100% solo i'll take 40% now if anyone is offering!
So a few years ago when they released their overall stats. If a person escaped in an SWF they counted that as a win for the SWF, that's why those percentages were so high. It was in the small print. My stats were 42% and I'm not that great. It really depends on who you get matched with and the killer. I really think now since the Ghoul is out it is obviously much lower.
-
I have been targeted tunneled. Most of my survivor games in soloq is the killer proxy camping and heading for whoever get unhooked. More times than not it's the previous hooked player. Then there are the times where my teammates are hiding and I'm the only out there so I will gladly take the tunnel to go next.
The only time I get gen rushed as a killer is with a good synergy. I don't let 3 gens bother me either. If you are being looped then just stop the chase and find the ones on the gen.
I do think tunneling, camping, and some perk nerfs have really pushed a lot of low to mid players away and now the Ghoul. I have noticed that when I play killer I'm definitely out matched and yeah I get mad but then I see there is no way I'm catching these people.
I'm also on console so I am not blessed with a lot of advantages as pc players.
As survivor it happens more times than not. I have seen done to other players and myself. When the killer has a choice to go after two people they always go after the one hooked. It isn't a matter of get gud either, when I killer can hit you AFTER you vault or pallet stun, that is a little weird. I say just little things here and there will balance it out.
I think it's way to late for BP incentive for tunneling it's rampant in the fact that a lot of players don't want to admit they do it and others proudly admit it's a good tactic.
-
Yes I think you are correct. I purchased Xeno on release and you could tail whip across the board lol. A week later is quietly nerfed. Now it's trash for console but I still like playing him. You can always see when they quietly nerf or buff something. At least I can because I don't main anything.
-
I have only played for about 3 years and it seems that it all started going downhill after the healing nerf. I feel it leaned more on the killer advantage but they quietly reversed most of those nerfs. Now that following year the Anniversary event was a complete nightmare and I feel that everything shifted completely, especially on the player toxic side. I feel ever since that event player toxicity went through the roof.
As far as updates I always thought they listened way to much to certain streamers because they represent a small portion of player abilities and not paying attention to the actual player base. I do feel that they make a lot of questionable choices that just bite them in the end and they don't learn from them.
I do feel the game is tilted in a survivor swf side, but I do feel there is a good balance in the game itself. I feel distortion should be restored and that would really balance it out more. However you are looking at the way a killer plays, if you remove the slugging and the camping, it is pretty balanced.
-
I don't know about that. Console is difficult with killer and survivor. I feel that while playing console you really need to be two steps ahead in both roles. The 360's really irritate me while playing killer and the aim on a lot is way off. Dracula always hits above so you have to aim downwards. Most killers you have to aim slightly to the left or right as if your going to miss. I would have to say Venca, Pig, Dracula, Trapper, and Nemesis are really solid console choices. Everyone else is hit or miss.
As a survivor it amazes me that I will get hit after vaulting or after a pallet stun. I'm usually singled out every time because on console a survivor is easier out to those who don't take the time to chase.
I have even noticed that sometimes survivors are slightly faster than me as killer being on console. I play patiently though. I usually get my kills within 1 or 2 gens and sometimes end game. I allow them to waste pallets and ditch the loopers on the shack unless I'm Dracula.
Also noted being on console they are making killers with more button functions and that doesn't work in a face paced game. I used to love Freddy and they absolutely ruined him for me with all the dumb button pushing. I don't bother with the Singularity or Oni because he is just in a straight line with demon dash. I feel the killers are supposed to be more functional but as far as console friendly no they are not.
-
I only got to pay killer yesterday and was not intending to kill any one. First game the gens went pretty quickly and I didn't have time to fully chases. However they figured it out and we had a slug race at the end. I didn't really care though. Second they 3 gen themselves for the last one., so it would have easy to get a 4k. The one Sable just have up on first hook and I didn't realize it so she was gone on 2nd. I just chased the rest and didn't care. They kind of played on guard though. I didn't get to play survivor because that's when the game broke.
I was Pyramid head and Wesker.

If BHVR messes with him, I hope they do it carefully. Without a large hitbox/auto aim, he'll be useless on console. PC survivors move faster than a console killer's camera plus there's lag between hitting the trigger and him actually responding (input lag, analog stick sensitivity, and fps all come into play here), so if it's not very forgiving, he won't be able to get hits with his power.
Since the Ghoul can't down with his power, only stun or injure, that seems like a compromise to keep his power usable on console without being OP on PC.
Maybe if BHVR made it so console players only cross-played with other console players, this wouldn't be so much of an issue. But it is.
Edit: Why the downvotes? I see so many PC players complain about how awful console players are and how they don't want to play with them. And from what I know the majority of console players recognize our mechanical limitations and do not want to play with PC players. PC-only and console-only cross-play should be widely desired by most of the playerbase. Everything else I said is a result of BHVR not giving us that, and also not programming console controls separately from PC controls. If PC is truly the dominant platform, all of you should disable cross-play so it's only console left in cross-play. Survivors can't move as fast on console, making the mechanical problems of killer slightly less frustrating. Not great, but slightly less frustrating.
I agree with you and the hard truth is that console players make up a huge amount of players. I have always said console should be matched with console to level things out. I actually understand what you are explaining without even playing the Ghoul. It reminds me if Alien Tail.whip it is atrocious on console but smooth as butter on PC. The 360's too the pc players get and consoles are to clunky to pull that off. It does seem with each update the console lag gets worse.

MFT while zig zagging is the only successful thing I have learned. Unless you're in a Squad your chances of winning are low.

Yeah i havent played killer because i never do never wilkl but ive heard the q times for killer are like 30+ minutes and when i play survivor i get a lobby within 20 seconds lol its insane
Yesterday I had to wait for survivor matches. It isn't that no one wants to learn how to counter its seemingly impossible without a squad or that rare soloq synergy. But yesterday the Ghouls players have upped to tunneling and camping from across the board.

I've escaped 4 times. Once the killer was just not trying. Others it worked with teammates in soloq with teamwork. We all took turns looping and there was always 2 to a gen. It also helped that two of us had wiretap or blast mine. Yesterday was straight up tunneling and hook camping from across the board. I just quit. It isn't worth the frustration.

Thats a problem too. When you play a different killer then you get salty survivors with pent up salt.
-
I was thinking the same thing.
-
I still feel he's unfair. He can camp a hook from across the board. I have not found any valid counter. O changed my build and MFT with any exhausted perk will do but you again you shouldn't have to carry a perk to counter a killer like this. There really is no looping unless you find a place he can't Spiderman to. Three jumps and he's across a board with no cool down.
I feel he is great against SWFs yes however soloq is getting stomped and a lot of low to mid players stopped playing.
Also to note a lot of players in soloq are just defeated right now. They are just giving up against any killer.
Also that argument about Magneto is invalid, you can't compare and people just didn't play the game.
-
Everything but flashlights are out to counter him. He is not fun to play against and really facing him match after match is not fun either.
-
I feel everything on controller has become increasingly harder. Things are way to clunkier now since the last two updates. I used to be able to do that but it hasn't worked for awhile.

The elephant in the room is that killer is insanely more easy than survivor. The survivor is most likely fed up losing. Survivor is never been a rewarding experience.
This is true unless you are up against a well oiled SWF or anyone with comms. Coms play a huge part in tactics here and we have seen this with 2V8 and you can always tell when killers work together.
Survivors face match after match now of tunneling, slugging, proxy camping, or slugging for the Mori. I do not agree with the give up thing because why reward a killer for bad behavior such as slugging. The point is to stop it or ease it this won't do it it still rewards a killer for such behavior and won't stop it.
Killer fatigue is another who wants to go up against the same killer every match?
Streamer builds catch on quick, and make countering it impossible at times.
You are right Survivor is very unrewarded unless you get chased.
Now 90% of killers use tunneling, slugging, and slug for the mori. This is annoying and unfun. 60% of killers do not chase or are hyper focused on one Survivor they will pass up 3 on a gen while on chase. For the last year they have made killer unbelievably easy in the lower to mid ranks but they don't utilize any of it and just use the easy way to win. If they don't get their 3k or 4k they dc.
Since they nerfed distortion a huge chunk of survivors left or switched to killer.
Hackers are on the rise and they do nothing to stop them..
FNAF is going to bring in a huge amount of players that are under the 16 mark. They need to improve or they will find themselves facing a lot of angry moms. They also need to just stop chat too because mom's are going to all over that too.
DC penalties don't need to go away but they need to improve it as where it recognizes a server disconnect from actually removing themselves from a game.

Maybe, maybe not. That's the real issue, you can never truly know. I could say I get 4 hackers in every lobby when i play killer. I am so good at Pig especially, anytime a survivor is faster than me, they must be speed hacking. Generators being finished a bit too fast? They must be hacking.
Really, what BHVR needs to do IMO is get rid of EAC and get a better way to combat cheaters.I have actually caught a gen speed hacker while I was survivor. They finished the gen in 40 seconds and they only did two. At first I went through all the possibilities. I run deja vu so I compared the second gen time. This person also had no gen perks or toolboxes they brought in.
I also reserve my judgment as killer because usually the first 3 gens fly but the last two are the ones that I get the most hooks or kills. If something did feel off I always check the perks. More often they make sense but sometimes they don't.
