Not lying. Maybe lucky. But like I said, I only saw him a few times yesterday. After the first two days of his release, I've seen him less and less. Maybe it's an MMR/region thing.

Im in canada so i guess NA lobbys and im iridescent 1 but yeah u must be lucky

Both the event mode and normal mode are giving the error when attempting to get a match. I haven't seen the Ghoul once yet today doing the event. I only saw him a few times all of yesterday. The game is perfectly playable. Well, except for right this minute, when it's literally unplayable because I get an error rather than a lobby.

You are either lying or just extremely lucky, ive been counting how many games ive got ghoul to calculate the pickrate out of my 23 games played today 19 of them were ghoul.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

Happening on PlayStation 4 as well, in both killer and survivor queues in Normal mode and Blood Moon mode.

I think they killswitched the event to fix ghoul or something major, im so happy though this is exactly what needed to happen, game is in a really unplayable state right now

It does seem a bit janky and like what just happened?

Just a bit more visual clarity would help alot more, being locked in one place in almost any game isn't fun as it takes player agency away, done right is fine though and I put my faith in bhvr to do what's right!

You putting your faith in behaviour? LOL any update they do is a disaster every single time

A kill switch is needed when there are huge bugs, not when you don't want to learn the killer's counterplays

There is no counterplay like what are you talking about, and dont even say MFT it barely does anything thats 3% aint helping after i get hit through a wall and then the killer already has power back and elimates all that distance in 2 seconds

Didn't they say its intended? Which is kinda crazy that it is if so.

I am sure changes will happen but to kill switch the brand new killer would be bad for both people enjoying the new killer and for bhvr as a business.

the only people enjoying the killer are the ones playing it because they cant sit there barely even trying and just get 4ks everytime because either everyone just dies super fast due to how op it is or people see its the new killer and just go next on hook.

  • @tech said:

Kill switch is only for game breaking bugs if I'm not mistaken, it is not for personal reasons like I don't like the killer

well i just dont think im the only one saying this, ive seen mulktiple posts on the forum here about how extremely broken ghoul is, its not just me. and in my opinion getting hit THROUGH WALLS is a game breaking bug especially when ghoul pickrate is like 95% right now

  • @lachenstars said:

I'm sure the Ghoul is super fun to play, and not just because they can consistently secure 4Ks. I hope he can be brought in line with other top killers without losing what makes him enjoyable.

My understanding is that his power is hitscan, so if you click with the icon, you get the hit, regardless of how far the survivor can run by the time the Ghoul animation plays. It feels bad. I would love if it felt like Deathslinger where a survivor can dodge and get behind cover. Right now I don't see much possible counterplay to avoid getting hit if the Ghoul is close enough (within like 32m) and knows how to use their power. Once injured you can run loops normally but the Ghoul has good ways to use their power to bodyblock and fast vault so they are by no means an M1 killer with no antiloop.

The mobility is insane. With VERY generous autoaim AND frankly, an unacceptable range, it's not uncommon to see an injury within 10-15 seconds of a match. Maybe start the game with his power on cooldown, like Sadako can't teleport to TVs as soon as the match begins.

The more I see the Ghoul played, the stronger I feel his entire kit is. Done correctly they can vault after survivors about as fast as Wesker (idk the numbers, but it's very strong). They have time to kick gens and then catch up to chase, better than most other killers. And as it stands, I don't see why any Ghoul wouldn't proxy camp or tunnel because it's so easy. DH can't be used while in deep wound and DS is about as effective against the Ghoul as against Nurse, Blight, or Spirit.

    1. Reduce the autoaim. Good players mention that they hit survivors even when they would rather use their power for mobility to get the bodyblock. It's too generous. It doesn't have to be a skillshot but I've seen some questionable clips on Twitch and YT.
    2. Reduce the range. Maybe increase the CD or even only give them 2 stacks basekit. Right now they are like Wesker on steroids.
    3. Lengthen recovery time after using their power. It's good that it can't down, but unlike Legion (for example) you can use the power again to catch up and bodyblock very quickly. Just tone it down a bit.

If they fix the animation and increase the opportunities for counterplay a bit, the Ghoul will feel much more fair.

75% of the time after i get hit by power which is also usually through a wall i rarely have time to even make it to the next tile the cooldown is so fast its actually insane, they really made a huge mistake with this killer its WAY too powerful theres no doubt about it. In my opinion it needs to be killswitched and be nerfed and they need to fix the bug where u get through the wall.

  • bro it takes literal minutes for survivors to do blood gens, you have to slow walk in between gen pump gen pump over and over and killer can come by kick the gen and erase like a minute and half of progress its literally a skill issue

I’ve had three matches today and two of them had some abysmal survivor play. One match a Sable (of course) decided to kill hers self on hook and the other two survivors just threw themselves at the killer. 4 gens undone. My third match none of the other three survivors touched a gen once, apart from me who solo did a gen. We spent 15 minutes just unhooking, healing and running round.

Honestly I get there’s a big uproar bout camping and tunnelling making the game hard to play and unfun right now, lord knows I’ve been a vocal part of those discussions, but this does not help at all. Neither of these killers did C&T by the way. Why even queue up?

for the past 2 days every ghoul game or indoor map i get i have gone next, usually ends in my teammates doing the same, i just simply refuse to play against this new killer its unbeatable you break LOS they hit u through wall, u dont break LOS they get free hit and after they get that free hit they also get speed boost and you are lucky if you make a window or pallet, and then on the off chance you get a chase longer than 45 seconds against the ghoul they usually are running pain res and my tm8 gen on 80% gets ruined and then the killer gets across the map to the generator to pressure it in like 10 seconds. Its just plain and simple absolutely broken and needs to be killswitched ASAP

exactly no counterplay equals no survivors playing this is actually nuts. At least nurse if you out play her she has fatigue. This killer you cant outplay.

Yeah i havent played killer because i never do never wilkl but ive heard the q times for killer are like 30+ minutes and when i play survivor i get a lobby within 20 seconds lol its insane

  • Yeah thats what im saying bro this kaneki killer is super OP behaviour really messed up this time, and to think i thought houndmaster was bad LOLOLOLOL

  • I agree with this, kaneki is one of the most OP killers ever released IMO other than og nurse

  • Agreed completely, this killer is extremely overpowered, needs to be reworked maybe even killswitched temporarily its getting ridiculous

So... You want to change whole game because YOU want to be chased? Sounds legit, but a little too egocentric

    precisely yes

  • This is fair, i think the reason so many people here are disagreeing with me is just because of playstyle differences, I dont play for the team or to do generators i play to get chased by the killer that is all i care for now this dosent mean i dont do gens and just sit around doing nothing waiting for the killer to chase me so the point of looping for me isnt really to buy time its to get distance to the next tile to keep the chase going. And yes i do use exhaustion perks my build is dead hard, made for this, hope, resilience its a full chase build because like i said the only reason i still load up the game every day is because i want to loop killers for as long as possible in one chase.

  • Yes i understand what your saying about not shooting through walls and stuff for certian killers and yeah i have recorded many games (I used to make youtube videos) and yes you are right i do make mistakes and sure maybe my movements are predictable but theres only so much you can do when your stuck on a map like coldwind where its basically all open area, ive had multiple huntress that bring map offering to really open maps with lots of deadzones, and yeah sure ill play like 5 games of huntress im probably going to lose all the games though because my aim is trash i dont play killer i never really have i would say 95% of my ingame hours are either leveling up characters in bloodpoint menu or playing survivor rest is killer, but yeah no i see your points and you do have valid arguments

  • @Crowman said:

Did you know that a melee killer when they are on top of you also has an uncounterable attack people refer to as an M1. Unless you manage to dodge the attack, but dodging an M1 is significantly more difficult than a ranged attack since all ranged attacks are telegraphed.

Maybe we should remove M1 abilities since if a killer gets on top of you it's basically impossible to avoid an hit.

No M1 is balanced as they have to close the distance to be able to do that and its counterable with pallet stuns and windows, multiple perks like dead hard, mettle of man etc can counter M1 as well but think of huntress hatchet you throw pallet and your dead, you run through pallet and your dead, you vault window and your dead.

  • Also idk if this helps but i havent tried linking before because i dont want it to get messed up so like im on a fresh slate here
