the blood points recently seemed to have been cut in half. I mean someone stated they only got 307 because they were tunneled out. Two weeks ago in a match without winning got me in the high 20,000, now barely 15,000. I use to be able to play one day about three hours and have enough to level up one character but now it’s like forever. They need to fix it and offer bonuses better ones. It is free for gods sake.
-
I started a few years ago and purchased the survivor pack and purchased the killers with shards. My husband started playing and waited until the anniversary and got most of them then. Right now the low blood points doesn’t justify the time spent playing. I can only imagine it would take weeks to get enough to level one character up for the casual player. You put time in for little back. I always said They are like Scrooge McDuck with their blood points.

Out of curiosity, how many BP did you have before going into that trial?
this proves moves something is wrong with the blood points. I remember games getting at least 3,000 just for loading in but the killer would DC at the start. I think something is definitely messed up because I have never seen that low before. It isn’t worth playing for such little BP/reward.

here is the way I see it. Devs develop a character with all these amazing base powers but if players just hard tunnel it causes the killer to be nerfed. The game is unwinnable the higher you go without that hard tunnel aspect. When go up against a well synchronized SWF and sprinkle the toxic there its hard not to pull out the not so good tactics. I also think the game is really balanced around that tunneling and slugging because killer mains NEED to win. They have more of an emotional connection to winning and so on. If they did implement something like you suggest that would actually in turn buff the killers in terms of powers and such (at the devs leisure of course). I think that is the main problem they have continually balanced around tunneling/slugging/SWFs that any drastic change would actually be devastating to one side. Yes fixing hard tunneling is a drastic change because it would have a domino effect. The problem here is evident people are not playing like they used to and the community challenge has effectively proven that. Yes their numbers surge when a new character comes out but then they go back to where it was prior. This game is a love hate as it is fun but there are so many broken mechanics it makes it unfun.
That being said yes hard tunneling is something they should look at. I have even had two other players get behind me to try and break it but the killer is hyper focused on me. It also plays an advantage knowing this as a survivor because you can continue to doing gens instead of rushing a hook.
The black banquet has also enraged lots of killers and it is very much survivor sided .
-
I agree they make most paid killers like this. The only thing they did nerf Xenomorph into the ground. He is in no way a controller friendly killer.

Wesker is currently extremely popular because the developers put him back out in a bugged state that they never fixed, so you see players take advantage of his bugs. It's honestly pretty tiring dealing with the sheer incompetence of this dev team.
not only that when Wesker and Nemesis are together the antidote chests are not highlighted. It’s like free slowdown for those two.
-
the simple fact that every match is Wesker in 2v8 means he’s broken
-
I am. I am on console though. It seems when there is Wesker on the board and when he comes close or both killers are in radius I drop to nothing. It isn’t the internet either .
-
I got hit through a wall and everytime he’s around incredible lag. They need to kill switch until they can fix him. I can’t even through a pallet unless he’s 10 feet away.

infectious fright is incredibly broken. You don’t even need to look at the killer and scream. It needs to be fixed.

if you get tunneld every match i think the problem is on your side cause there ist a 1/4 chance he picks you and if its always you there hat be be a reason (maybe the weakling who cant chase) then you have to improve chase. Also theres so many that dc on first hit or even when its a killer they dont like. DBD is a PVP game with 42 killers, if you cant play 15min with a killer you dont like don't play at all
maybe it’s the new killer gameplay is to tunnel. I had three matches in a row yesterday where I was the first to be found. I was tunneled hard yet three gens got done and the fourth was about to be done. Maybe it’s the killer hyper focus that causes them to lose and they feel they need to tunnel harder. I even had players try and intercept and take protection hits but I was still hard tunneled out. I should not have to load out with all anti tunneling perks because a killer won’t spread hooks.
It isn’t like I can’t loop or chase it’s the killers way to chase one person at a time to eliminate them but it may cost them the game. This is where survivor frustration comes in and why killer wait times are higher than survivors. Also the Devs admitted the number one reason people uninstall is tunneling and slugging so it’s obviously an issue that people don’t want to admit there is one.
-
it isn’t casual because some players play like their actual life is on the line
-
maybe look at why players DC??? I know a lot for dumb reasons but if your tunneled out or chased first every match maybe there is a core issue. Maybe you think people are DCing for a dumb reason but maybe not.
-
so I play mostly survivor and when I play killer it’s like a lightbulb goes off. It seems to me the devs have actually built the game around tunneling and slugging. This only works when you have a synergy amongst survivors. Mostly SWFs. Now that being said soloq is all but diminished. You can instantly tell if a team is working together or not. Being a killer especially on console (there is is at least a 5 second delay too) it seems necessary to tunnel if you want to play hard. Now if you want to learn it’s best to take the loss and learn to chase and mind game. If you don’t tunnel gens tend to fly. Another problem is streamers. All these players think these streamers when every game but they don’t show the loses and that is a problem. They make mistakes too and it should be known. Also lot of players I encounter on soloq are those who just want to clear the tomb and basically screw around. Also the amount of subtle cheaters is wild and BHVR needs to actually put an effort to do something about it. I had at least three out of the four matches with the flash in there.
The game is about chasing, hide and seek. Now it’s about tunneling and slugging and that doesn’t really cater well to those who want to engage.
-
the thing is the splitting of the events proves they can this. Majority of killers want easy wins so if they are not going on the competition side they surely play crappy on the casual side. It isn’t anything to do with the game it’s a massive player issue.

Its interesting to read the claims of the tunneling when I played 20 matches in the event queue and got like one hard tunneler and maybe one or two tactical ones. Its one reason why I take these kind of claims of tunneling numbers as pinch of salt as they don't fit the experience I have been seeing. Also just to point out how in the world he manages to be the first to get chased in those seven games to be the one getting tunneled that is statically very unlikely if he is not intentionally trying to avoid the killer.
I really think it’s sever depending. Not every area tunnels and it is a massive complaint on other forums as well and some other groups. I have not been able to complete anything as at line 5 or 4 gens we are out of the game.

Hello,
I would like to give some feedback about the current event in Dead by Daylight. Right now it feels almost impossible to complete. Many killers are playing extremely aggressively during the event, which makes the matches very difficult for survivors.
Instead of feeling like a fun event, it becomes very frustrating because every match feels overly intense just to make progress. Events are usually meant to be enjoyable and encourage players to participate, but this one feels more stressful than fun.
Maybe adjusting the objectives or the balance during the event could help make it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback.
I totally agree. This is the first time I am skipping an event because the player behavior is terrible. Killers are going out their way to slug and it isn’t fair.
this has been happening in all events lately too. I think the devs should put the anti tunneling and anti slug systems for events only. This will stop the killers that just want to make everyone miserable playing it. I don’t mind getting killed just work for it. Every killer in history had to work for their kills a game shouldn’t be any different. Not only would it stop the players that just want to ruin it it would also allow for broader feedback of these to systems of they actually work as intended, instead of listening to a select few.

i agree. I do think consoles should play with consoles and PC players with pc players . However I am on XBOX and I recently figured out they lump Xbox PC players with consoles.
-
I want to see survivor rates on bots

there is an interesting review on Steam I think about two years back that the person claimed to work for BHVR. In the rant they claimed that BHVR was very aware that over half the players cheat in some way but he didn’t want to do anything because they are paying customers. Again disgruntled employee so take it as is. However the other things were pretty much valid complaints from users. Also those little employee only badges are a dead giveaway of a cheater. There’s one that keeps coming back again and again after being banned. Void something or other. It’s clear they can’t even keep banned cheaters banned.
-
I have been saved too but it is rare
-
it’s hard to tell is they DC because of the game or because of server disconnect. Also killers have been DCing more.
-
Nope first match I got one gen and then got immediately hooked back to back with a very short chases in between . Second match some thing but two gens.
-
the thing I have noticed in general is that BHVR are creating more interactive killers. As in you need to this in order to erase this. Again good on paper but in a fast paced game you don’t really have time. It may enhance the gaming experience but a killer is gonna kill and all these extras is just gimme to the killer.
The first is easy to predict run straight then dodge when they throw their vines. Try not to vault because that’s where he’ll shoot them. This is where you get a frustrated killer and then the slugging starts. It doesn’t matter what the killers powers are it’s just the playstyle that is the issue. I do think the vines need a longer cool down because it feels as if that’s all the are doing. Maybe longer cool down and adjust his base speed (he’s slow you have to admit that).
The fact that Hens is getting kill streaks is above the normal. All that does is sell the killer and then your average player gets frustrated because they can’t do it and they find some other streamer that just tunnels camps and slugs.

some of the stuff ive seen about just hating old people that much is insane.. probably coming from people who herald bill as an awesome veteran old dude too if i had to bet. literally saw a comment about her needing adult diapers on reddit, like ######### is wrong with people.
also im well. havent played dbd besides the PTB 2v8 test (which i admittedly had a lot of fun on, lol) in a few months and its both been nice but everytime i think about coming back i look at reddit posts and go Oh Dear God.
maybe if BHVR gives me legion back in 2v8 /j
I don’t pay attention to those people because one they have not had a 9 lb baby that literally pushed your bladder in your throat. Some of us are young and can’t run for recreation. If you break it down it’s age shaming. Just because someone is older doesn’t mean they are not capable. The minds od some are shallow and weak because the internet as allowed them to go unchecked.

People aren't going to have a good time when players become good at this killer. I think the power design a little problematic.
Yes, he's slow, but his power is so quick to trigger that you zone for free. If you're dodging on the audio cue, you're going to get hit. This is 4.4 Nurse without a blink fatigue. And it's not quite like PH because there's a clear lock in and delay on his ranged attack. This just appears.
I agree he can be quite powerful given what he can do. But you know the devs need to give the streamers their kill streaks then they nerf.

It's not disproportionally higher, you're making that up, it's a small percentage of at most 6ish percent which is probably heightened that there is less 4 mans in "high MMR", overall its still the same as the others. Co-ordination will always be king in team games. it doesn't matter how you "nerf it" in this case. This is also year-old pre ghoul data also.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/X0ACLZQDB0IA/image.png
And it does help it, a lot of what people complain about is stacked second chances etc syringe was widely hated for that reason.
Nurse/Blight and even ghoul are literally solo characters who are just better choices in every regard compared to most of the cast and I just don't think its anywhere near the same comparison, solo Q arguably has a higher overall, does that make them more overpowered Coffee? LMAOif you read the small print in the description of this someone from an SWF could have died but others escaped it is considered a win for the SWF. Only if the entire team perished was it counted as a loss for SWF. I would like to see complete deaths to 4ks. That is what the main take away should be. Yes SwF are more likely to survive and I get that and even some SWFs allow solo members to hang. I really feel SWFs should be looked at more.
-
in all honesty I would have them play killer. Not to necessarily win but to more or less observe while playing. They will learn loops and then they can see what perks they had on. I know it’s extremely time consuming but in all honesty it’s how you learn loops and pallets. What perks work and what ones don’t. I did for about 6 months and bounced back and forth. You do learn from other survivors just needing to follow them more or less. Also a litttle hint tell them to listen to ques and dodge a second after you hear it, it usually works.

this game relies entirely on new players. you're meant to get burned out and quit. this revolving door cycle seems to be how the developers want things to be.
my entire cohort is gone.(I started after twins and before trickster)
only way I can see people sticking is if you get a decent custom lobby scene but all my friends refused to do customs because no bloodpoints so they'd rather get upset and quit
this is what I don’t understand. They have made it quite impossible for any new survivor unless they start with an SWF. Even then they are going to be tunneled out first. I get that these plagues could be a regional problem but if you fix it for one region that has the problem others won’t be affected because the issue isn’t there. I also don’t understand why they keep listening to the loud streamers. Without the game these people would not get to be playing. Being the devs even admitted the number reason why survivors uninstall is because tunneling and camping. You can’t keep newbies if this continues.
-
maybe they should just work on core issues like hackers, hit boxes, fast vaults, and anything else this is core to the game.
-
I totally agree. It’s like playing with drunken toddlers. Most my games I am seeing survivors just give up and not really put much into the game. I also see killers go hardcore when it really isn’t necessary.
I think BHVR has balanced around tunneling and camping and slugging. It’s why toolboxes got buffed, gen speeds fly, and other changes. If you don’t tunnel at a certain level you can not win and on this game it seems the killers need to win every game. Also they have balanced around SWFs making a lot of perks not worth it because of synergy in a 4 person team, when in soloq a perk was most beneficial.
When they nerfed distortion into the ground and then brought out Keneki all the solid players left or play casually now. But hey as long as the TTVs are happy that’s all that matters
-
I think a lot of survivors just go in expecting to be turned and slugged. The game for survivors is balanced around SWFs with comms. I played the event yesterday as Killer and it was the first time in months. I know I had a duo in at least one game. I went in to have fun and get those challenges done. One game a player was just doing stupid things and tried to kill themselves on first hook. Then kept slamming into lockers. I could have easily gotten 4K with all my games aside one they were down to play sweaty and it wasn’t what I was wanting lol. The things some survivors do are straight up toxic but they may think it’s fun. I get why killers play the way they do and honestly those games where there were no coms was terrible all the survivors hooked twice before 2 gens were done. I always leave the hook as well. I only got the 4K once because one game they let people die on the hook with plenty of time to get them.
-
I am taking a forced break. This was a huge let down but my arthritis (or seems to be mysterious hand pain). Is also very upset there isn’t any anti tunneling.
-
I do check the numbers and they are down but not much. It’s the fact they couldn’t hold onto the FNAF newbies or returning players. That is what shows the game isn’t interesting to most or completely hard for newbies. The game is still interesting to say the least it’s the players that make it miserable and it’s been asked that maybe BHVR take a firmer stand on player behavior and cheaters. You used to run into a subtle cheater hardly ever and now it’s a few times a day.
-
this has been happening on console for the last year

And this is just off of Steam alone. So I don't really buy the whole "survivors are leaving in droves" when statistics show quite the opposite.
BHVR does need to step it up though because their negligence to bugs and game health will slowly drive people away.
this proves they are losing players period. It’s in the red more than green and any gain is lost in two months

@Crowman said:
According to bhvr own stats they shared. Survivors being slugged and bleed out to death was rarely happening and giving survivors infinite unbreakable for rare occasions is just a bad idea.
An idea I like is to allow slugged survivors to pick each other up. This way if survivors are getting slugged they can crawl to each other and reset.
this is true and it seems to be area related. It if one area is complaining and it’s happening solely in that area where it’s a problem then creating a fix wouldn’t effect other areas game play. It’s they listened to much to the loud killers and caved.
-
I agree it’s OTZ then Hens a close second. It is correct whatever OTZ complains about is word for word in the update notes. I even liked the tantrum he threw and he was going to leave DBD and then his viewers dropped. BHVR needs to realize they make these streamers and not the other way around. Also yes OTZ can destroy DBD and seems to be dismantling it pretty well for majority of survivors in soloq.
I personally like Demi, he’s funny and he points real flaws and exploits. He doesn’t have skin in the game so he’s truthful. -
You are not alone. I noticed in recent events the devs are like Scrooge McDuck with fake money. I also feel they listen more the louder ones that do t spend the money in game and get the stuff for free. Honestly these outfits lately are not really good. Even the free rift is blah. They totally changed it. The game seems like it’s in a steady decline
-
There a few take aways from this whole thing. Yes survivors are adaptable and the fact that they have put massive effort into the SM with no positive results while neglecting some killers that need an overhaul. However you can’t babies into a game where there is massive tunneling and camping and expect them to “get good” or learn how to loop.
Without curving tunneling and camping you ultimately shut out the game to new players. Most commenting started at a time when the game was in decent state and learned some methods as they progressed. This is without a doubt backed up by numbers and by the FNAF chapter. BHVR had a staggering 120,000 players then where did they all go? Steam charts show they have hemorrhaged players since . Minor upticks during event months but all in all most of those players left. This doesn’t count into the effect of console players either. But there is your proof they can not keep new players or even ones that come back and dip their toe in. The game itself needs a face lift.
The number one reason players uninstall is because of tunneling and camping. Given most killers have to wait forever for a match tells you there are more killers than survivors. And they can’t blame prestige levels anymore. Yet the devs are ignoring the main face why players quit. Now if you are on business you try and fix the what needs to be fixed in order to attract new players and keep them.
just because tunneling and slugging are not happen in a certain region does not mean it doesn’t exist. Now Asian servers it has been said time and time again there is no toxic game play that the killers actually try. Just because you are seeing something doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem. It can be strong in certain areas but can be detrimental to other areas.
Devs need to stop listening to streamers point blank. Although some may thinks they don’t they do. If you ever watch OTZ he will always criticize a survivor perk and give examples in a non pressure game. This was proven the BTL and the devs literally took what he said word for word and used it in order to nerf it. Same thing with the med kits and boon nerf then they quietly restored and buffed med kits. Point is these streamers would be nowhere without BHVR, who cares if they say they will leave let them someone will take their place. Their views will drop and they will go back. Also they have fans who will follow them and scream to support them. Here is the thing they can’t keep new players and that’s a problem. Yes their cashcow is cosmetics and some will continue to purchase but even I have seen a decline in them. There is no chase anymore no one does gens because they assume every killer will tunnel, camp, and slug. Unless you are in an SWF your odds are terrible and that’s where new players start.
Solutions teleporting hooks simple as that. They do it 2v8 and without the constant aura reading most killers calm down on it. Basket unbreakable when all players are down. If you go 30 seconds after recovery you have the option to leave. Simple yet effective. If all 4 survivors leave killer looses a rank this ensures a hook state and punishing. I know that doesn’t allow for sabos but it’s a price to pay to play the game.

yes that is what I mean. I was nowhere near the red circle of broken and got nailed by it. My favorite was when the dog was far away from me but I was still being dragged by him
-
I don’t think it’s the killers power per se rather than play style. Yes the killer has more advantages but they are easily countered once you figure them out. I say slugging, camping, tunneling are your core issues. Also lack of survivors put babies in higher ranks so they don’t have a chance.
-
from what I see is that killers complain over flashlights, tbagging at the gate, que wait times, and pallets.
So the first two are player behavior, yes flashlights are annoying but if you have more than one it’s super annoying as they spam. The third is simple wait times are long for killer because there are lack of survivors. It takes 4 survivors to 1 killer and if you lose a squad or even 100 survivors it throws off the balance of pool of players.
With shrinking survivor numbers you need to realize killers will be thrown more advanced players that can outsmart the tunneled and camper. That is the problem majority camp and tunnel and when they climb the ranks quickly they don’t learn to stop loops or any counter by that means. This creates people crying because they got so used to winning losing and they get frustrated and move on.

The majority of survivors from what îve seen cannot survive a chase longer rhan 30 seconds (not exactly 30 bur you get the point). if the survivor can actually loop well then you’d better hope you find another survivor quick otherwise you’ll lose trying to tunnel out the good survivor. anyways, Why would the killer not tunnel this survivor if his teammates are hiding and focusing gens? Fact is even then camping and tunneling a single survivor out the whole game is a horrible strat if the survivors arent stupid. Feels like based on some of these responses I’m playing a different game.
ok yes true but how are new players or even casual players supposed to learn loops when they are hit right off the hook and now it’s every game almost. The proposed changes won’t make a difference and more will just leave

I usually sing to my chases. I am my own playlist. Also the main reason I can’t be on a SWF.

I am writing this post to express my dissatisfaction with the new Reverence Rift.
It's incredible how the quality of the Rift has declined so noticeably, and it's disrespectful to all players. We're paying the same amount for less content and lower quality. I think of Tome 20, “Mythic,” or Tome 21, “Dominus,” and it's sad to see the latest rifts compared to those mentioned. Poorly executed designs, themes that are uninteresting to the vast majority of players, little variety of characters, excessive recolors, removal of lore, charms, and banners that aren't even centered on the characters who are supposed to be the main characters of the Rift... Where is the value? Why is it becoming another Fortnite (but worse)?
Also, why does this rift last 4 MONTHS? I understand that the Christmas and New Year's break is coming, but that's no excuse to keep that bad and lame content for 4 months! The Overwatch battle pass is similar to DBD in terms of quality/variety, and they release a new one every 2 months. DBD should do the same in my opinion. It's not right to have the same rift for more than 3 months when there's no new fun to keep the hype going.
The only decent thing about the Rift right now is that they give you back the same amount of Auric Cells (they should give at least 300-500 more if they want to be like Fortnite, at least that would compensate a little better for the poor quality of the entire Rift).
lol all my money goes to Overwatch now. Both my kids play for fun and epsorts so they NEED the battle pass and someone’s skin. I have the Auric Cells saved up but I haven’t purchased the rift from three ones ago. There really isn’t anything worthwhile and it’s really bad. If you care about cosmetics then yeah but other than that they are pretty dull.
-
I agree with it all. I did read where OTZ stopped streaming DBD and his views went way down. The fact of the matter the Devs need to start seeing without the player base there will not be a game to stream. The streamers need to recheck their egos and deal with any changes the Devs put forth the health of the game. Most players don’t stream for a living and that’s just that. Streamers can be replaced. I actually watched Demi just because he’s funny but I don’t agree with some things he does but he’s extremely critical of the devs.
