Cleansing a full totem is worth 1000 blood points. Add another 250% and that’s 3,500 points for just 14 seconds of bone slamming. If I do escape, I get to keep my item for free. Yeah, I’m gonna keep doing bones and chests in addition to gens.
People who care more about points than wins are just as valid as people who care more about wins than points. My advice to OP would be: stop policing others’ playstyles. I think you’ll be happier.
ExExactly . The other day I got 100,000 points for unhooking, healing, and chests. I did two gens but still those points add up

survivors in 2v8 have basekit infinite Unbreakable, how on earth are y’all getting slugged so much
I don't get it. I was purposesly slugged one game and I have been playing this every day. It was endgame and was a team. There were 3 players left and we kept getting up but we stayed away from each other. Every player that gets slugged in my games pop back up. It isn't long either.
I also feel that BHVR should take note on how many get to from being slugged because that tells you who uses slugging as a primary way to play.

My friend and I have yet to lose with hooking (Billy/Nurse). We don't slug because we don't have to and it's not fun for the 8 other people in that game. Some close calls here and there, but we'd rather risk a few getting out the gate rather than make the game miserable for everyone.
I think this is key though if the killers know each other and are able to communicate. The matches I have lost have been communicating killers and you can tell. The ones I win are either killers dropping chase to quickly or there is zero communication between them. I have only been slugged in a few matches and one was endgame so they could close all hatches, I got up like 6 times 😆. I have to Billy is strong in this mode.

I love going against Billy. I haven't had any issues going against Billy in 2v8. He still has the same counters that make him easy to evade in 1v4 if you know what you're doing. Use windows and try to force him to curve around obstacles. If he happens to be a god-level Billy who can curve around anything, tip your cap to him and move on. Fortunately, Billy players with that level of skill are pretty rare. Most of the time they'll bump into something with their saw a few times and then give up on the chase. He's only strong against survivors who don't know how to properly counter him.
Serious question. I played a match yesterday with Billy and Huntress. No one's cages were teleporting when they got close. It was hard to tell with the huntress but with Billy he kept reving the chainsaw up and going around me with no teleport. Is it possible that when Billy revs and goes there is no heartbeat and no teleport?

I don't tunnel, camp, or slug for 4k, but if someone puts me in a situation where I'm avenging my dog, all bets are off!
Honestly I wouldn't blame you for that.

I think Behavior severely overestimates how much people enjoy playing against overtuned killers. One of my favorite things about 2v8 last time was not having to worry about Billy flying around the map and insta downing the entire team. I get that it's fun for the person playing him. The problem is it won't be fun at all for the casual audience that plays 2v8 on the survivor side.
Correction BHVR overestimates their player base.

My uncle made a deal with a bar owner to take the old tabletop Space Invader game as long as he did the towing. It is still going strong.

But yeah we are in the Golden age of cheating :(
I can tell desync issues. Most of the time it looks as if the character is having a seizure. I am getting mostly speed hacks and GPS. I have only seen a few teleporting too.
Also I have noticed I am lagging in the game a lot but I think that's desynching. I'm holding my arms out a lot and getting hit through solid objects lol.

This has become a popular playstyle. It is taking the game hostage and not allowing it to end. It's griefing plain and simple.

these are the people us killer mains should slug. You want to make everyone else have a bad game you can wait 5 minutes or DC and wait 15.
It makes survivors lose almost 100% of the time and makes killers bored cause there isn’t anything fun about winning without any struggle.
I highly agree with this. There are certain instances when tunneling and slugging are indeed a need and a must. I do understand it being in the game but when you go in at 5 gens to slug for no reason it's ridiculous. Also slug and seek because your that desperate for the 4K.

It’s quite logical; however, if we take, for example, camping and tunneling, these are completely valid tactics, and that’s exactly why there are perks and counterplays to prevent them.
When it comes to the idea of ranked play, I’m heavily inspired by DBD Mobile, and I won’t deny that I might be seeing the situation through rose-colored glasses. But from my game experience, I can note that unranked there feels like regular PC gameplay, possibly with players at a lower skill level due to the control difficulty. Ranked games, on the other hand, feel very well-balanced: at ranks 20-12, you’ll find beginners, 11-7 are players who have learned the game basics, and in the top 6 ranks, you meet players who are genuinely striving to win. The most surprising thing for me was that I never encountered rage quitters there. Sure, there were things to complain about—objectively weak players, or on the contrary, players far too strong for their rank, ping issues, and, of course, gameplay obstacles with an overly cluttered interface.
Speaking of Mobile, there’s also an interesting results table showing each player’s contribution to the game.
I realize they are valid tactics but what chance do players have if they only last minutes in a game. Tunneling exists but it shouldn't be the go to strategy. It's seriously out of hand now and makes gameplay unfun and boring.
-
It's a Huntress perk bloodscent or something. I think they shadow buffed it because it's stronger than before. I run it as a survivor but sometimes it doesn't matter.
-
So I really agree with you except ranked and unranked mode. Only reason being killers would get their butts handed to them in ranked mode and then destroy unranked (play sweaty). Maybe que up SWF's together instead. SWF's are stronger because of communication. Also if your paying with 2 or 3 person team one gets tunneled out of leaves they all tend to go, which really sucks for the remainder of the team.
MMR does not work now because of the tunneling, slugging, and camping. The only player it benefits is the killer in reality. See a killer can rank up easier than a soloq player. But when that killer starts hitting squads they go down. Now your average player is always going to be stuck with the same killer players playing the same way with a longer time to climb the MMR.
Soloq has been proven to be the largest amount of players, so in reality it should be balanced around that. I do feel aside with a few perks it's balanced if the killer does not tunnel, slug, and camp. It really depends on the killer's mindset and if they are avenging their dog or not.

Until 0 players can see any info that isn't directly gameplay related (basically survivor picked and item equipped, as item counter pick perks and such is a part of the game), then I think everyone should see names/anon mode status of everyone in the lobby. Trust me I'd rather no one gets to see it so there's no room for dodging based on "I don't like that guy!" or "Don't want to play with anon mode!", but until 0% of players get to make decisions like that, 100% of them should be able to.
I would embrace this
-
I think DC's should actually be looked at harder. Does a certain player as killer have a lot, why are people doing it. Were they slugged etc. I mean if you actually get those answers you will see what the problem is.
Yes I do realize survivors have tantrums too.
-
@Prometheus1092 said:
What people don't seem to understand is soloq is individual. Someone might be going for totems or might be going x amount of stuns or achievements. Gens or even escaping isn't always at the top of the priority list for some people depending on when challenge they are going for. In that respect, sorry but if I need to get hook saves for a challenge then I'm unhooking you like it or not lol.
Also if the new perk comes into play, expect more slugging, so there won't be as much suicides on hooks
But that is forcing people to be in a SWF and that's something that a lot don't want. So if you're playing soloq for achievements that isn't fair to the rest of your time trying for a win.
Not every survivor is part of a SWF and soloq is actually bigger than SWF play, so for you to go in and ruin it is just selfish.

Anonymous mode exists to combat exactly what you're asking for. I don't think we want people targeted as Killer the same way Survs can be just because they have TTV in their name.
Not really. Most people have their TTV or YT on their screen name. Anonymous is for hiding so you can be found. If that is the case no one really wants to play with low level content creators and there is a reason for it.

They'll use every confirmation bias, every bad analogy, every misconstruing tactic, just to reinforce the opposite reality. They just assume every killer is comp Nurse, every survivor is a poor helpless solo who can't even handle being chased, and that what the devs have been doing is "fixing the game" when the survivors get buffed and "ruining the game" when killers get theirs. I'd love to see someone argue that this isn't the case.
The devs literally posted 60% kill rates

@Vishlumbra :
My best advice for your problem 'Tired of the complaining against killers' :
close your internet browser…When you speak about 'competitive', high MMR & things.. Are you speaking for yourself too ?
'cause I ngl but I certainly have a low-mid MMR (probably below 1100) and I swear: I'm so often be slugged, camped & 100% killed bleeding on the floor (by my own fault & mistakes or not) that in soloQ these fancy stats are absolutely unreal: I am 100% dead 9 games on 10 in this way ! And sometimes (I can't tell how often it happens) these 'strats' start since the beginning of the trial (at 5 gens) and not at the all end…How can we find that so 'fun' ? It requires no effort for killer to stay in the same place & to incitate randoms in soloQ to lack of coordination. And now, they have all the reasons to do so…
So you can complain about complaining against killers but I can complain about the fancy things that everyone can tell about statistics, gameplay or whatever else in contradiction with the main lines…I feel you.
Yesterday I was slugged EVERY game enough to fill the bar up. Most of it was slug and seek for the mori. This game is lazy killer sided.
-
It's gotten worse there is also a gen hack. I really believe since the last update to nerf distortion and the finisher mori we are left with very few players that play fairly. I really think the majority is SWF's and cheaters at this point.
-
YES. The other day when I played him he has basekit aura reading when cloaked, that's so unfair. All Wraiths do is bodyblock for the down and now that they can have permanent aura reading is ridiculous.

tf is a killer supposed to do other than this at the end game? Should I patrol the gens while the exit gates are opened?
You could go to the gate. I'm just stating the perk won't stop tunneling.
-
I have mostly negative encounters with them. YT tags are better than TTVS. It isn't just killers it's survivors too.
-
@Laluzi said:
I'm not concerned about TTVs - most of the distinctly unfun or outright griefer killers I play against are not content creators, just regular jerks. The correlation between TTV/YT and toxicity is not nearly as high as people think it is, in either direction.
But I'm torn on the actual suggestion. I do kinda want it. More than that, I wish we could chat with all players pre-match… though I suspect BHVR doesn't want that and wants to discourage killer-survivor collaboration if at all possible (a la "hey guys I'm trying to get this achievement, help me out and I'll do whatever you want.")
Showing the killer's name results in the same possibility of messaging the killer pre or mid match, for good or ill. But more importantly, I'm certain this would lead to a lot of profile inspection and dodging over -reps and other complaint litter that people get. If your lobby's killer has 40 pages of -rep hard tunneled and -rep camping bubba, do you really want to load into that match? Even if you're a god looper and you don't feel threatened, the chance one of your teammates comes face to face with a killer playing hardball and either messes up and dooms the match or just ragequits is pretty high.
Killer anonymity does serve a purpose. People already dodge teammates over perceptions of 'this player doesn't have enough hours', now imagine how they'd react to a 5000 hour killer. I think this would make private profiles all but mandatory.
I have actually been messaged by the killer beforehand and find it unfair that they can see us and we can't do the same.
-
I agree it's made the game so much worse.
-
It won't stop it. I have seen more face camps endgame the past two days than ever. We shouldn't have to carry anti slug, anti tunnel perks to play the game.

Survivors have been super sweaty and super toxic when I was playing killer in the afternoon. Ashamedly I might allowed myself to become a toxic killer in response. Had a SWF that took 3 hook separation offering and map selection and all ran to a dead zone where it was impossible to hook and made sure to make lots of noise. Not even trying to be toxic but they got slugged because what else could I do and running unbreakable so I just spent the entire match stood there slugging when they got up and ended with 3K in the end. Needless to say I got some nasty messages for out playing a seriously boring game of their own making.
ME TOO!
when I play killer I get Seal Team Six, when I play survivor it's potatoes 80% of the time.
I totally understand where these no skill killer playstyles come into play because of these bully squads or just a group that bullies. But not every group is like that and I can understand that.

Ok so this data is almost a year old
Data never includes DC matches
There is a problem with the data not being entirely accurate

Please explain how survivors are to "get better" while being tunneled off the hook or crawling on the ground at 4-5 gens????
While yes I have learned to loop better but the fate at getting killed is just increased.
Your argument isn't invalid as slugging for the 4k has always existed, but now there is a greater incentive.
Slug and seek is stronger than before

Already killer wait time has gone up dramatically.
-
I agree. I'm a survivor main but I see these a lot, even as killer. Also don't forget when one goes down they all throw. It's great for a killer but sucks as the survivor.
-
The Technically leans towards killers. The game is marketed as "Escape". I feel that the balance of the perks stride slightly to a killer with exception of few. What makes this game extremely killer sided is playstyles. Camping, tunneling, and slugging are just lazy and you don't NEED perks for that. It shows you have never played online games before and need to win to feel good about yourself. Survivors hide to much and don't do anything in soloq but try and be the last one. I find it silly that the main objective is gens but you get the least bloodpoints for them. Then there are those pesky SWF'S that are just well cordinated and honestly nothing you can do to slow them. Plus the game is riddled with hackers so there's that (another sign you don't belong playing video games).
Aside from a few perks I feel it's balanced well.
-
To answer your question no it isn't illegal. A store can do whatever they want in price. What is illegal (as far as I know in the US) is advertising a sale price and not honoring it by a higher price.

For me, at least, that is not the experience (as much as I want it to be) there are never really any close games anymore where everyone is on the edge of their seat seeing what will happen. It is usually me destroying the survivors because the game hands me solo potatoes/ semi decent chill SWF players or me getting annihilated by a cracked team.
This is it. Feast or famine. What is highly interesting in another place me and a killer main we seeing that most SWF's are bringing subtle hacks. There is the no scratch marks, there is a gen speed up, and there is the subtle speed. We are actually noticing it a lot more. I also had a team that kept regenerating their items magically.
But like you said you either get people that are not doing anything and they are wiped out a 5 or 4 gens or you get Seal Team Six.
-
My theory is this. Content creators not ones that are fog whisperers create stuff with slugging, tunneling, camping and so forth. So again this comes from a bad MMR system. So as a killer starts off they start to win and they feel good but as they climb they are matched with people put of their league quite quickly and start to lose. They then turn to the videos and start the unhealthy gameplays, then turn their losses into wins, without skill. As they move up the ranks when they find a team that can outplay them they cry survivors are overpowered.
It is a heavily killer sided and the majority of killers use the slug, tunnel, camp method because it is easy.
As for looping, there are a lot of console players that can loop but can't really compete against PC killers because of mechanics. The Oni for example he can turn on PC but when you have a console Oni there is no turning so it's much easier to loop. Most killers don't chase and we all know the slug to win and it's pathetic.
-
I think this is certainly a regional thing. So I play a lower MMR on one side and a mid MMR on the other. I will see a lot of hookicides for being the first down or after running they get caught. Most just DC. Sometimes it's warranted with no one doing anything, a camping killer (they walk by the hook constantly but not enough for the meter to raise up), tunneling.

I was hoping the extremely sweaty ways of playing would stop with separate event queues but it didn’t
I think this was a mistake. I have had so many on both sides not even do the event. Also killers are using the well as prime downing areas. People wanted a separate que for events after the one Anniversary event so people can go in and have fun.. this proves there are just toxic people that can't handle enjoying an event. Every survivor match I get is just hardcore tunneling, slugging, or getting picked off at the well.
I just can't understand if you're not going to participate in the event then don't do it.
-
I know they do take it seriously. I stumbled upon a forum that was selling subscriptions for hacking. I sent the link to them and they kept me updated. It was mostly aim bot, GPS, and speed ones. For the record I just Google to see if anyone else was having problems with them.

This I agree with. There needs to be a stronger cooldown. Being in console it's harder to constantly switch so I just go from wolf to Dracula. The only time bats come in handy is to go across a map. But I can see where it's strong but easily avoided.

Unfortunately the last two survivors hiding is a result of the constant “slugging for the 4K” playstyle. They don’t wanna come out and do gens or even help the other person when they know killers are just gonna slug one and then likely camp the slugged survivor to get the 4th down. It’s understandable that they’re just like “hide it out as long as possible so maybe one of us has a shot at hatch.”
By punishing this, it basically send the message that the game is over when 2 people are left, which will result in more DCs and giving up on hooks.
This is how certain playstyles create counter playstyles that create counter playstyles etc.
Exactly! Players are hiding because of slug and seek. I had this happen to me as killer it did drag the game out but with patience you can find them. As survivor yes its annoying when your the last 2 and nothing is getting done. I don't care and will jump on a gen. But something needs to be done with 2 players left any slug and seek, it's really boring. It's gotten worse with the Mori.

The thing is the kill rates have definitely changed, its statistically impossible for them to be exaclty the same, so its strange Bhvr. would say that. In my own experience the game seems way more killer sided then it did almost a year ago when those stats were released and I escape way less now then I did then, so I dunno.…I am definitely skeptical.
I agree but if BHVR doesn't count matches where there is a DC than that's why the data could be the same. How many times have we been in matches where a DC occurs then the killer gets trumped by the bot. It happened to be yesterday, I was slugged long enough for 3 crows and not hung. The bot kept running away from anyone down because the killer was monitoring us. We also did nothing wrong. Point being I play about 3 hrs daily, and half my matches killer and survivor have a DC. Most DC for tunneling, camping, and slugging. It's time they incorporate the DC matches because more times than not there's a reason why people are. Sometimes they are just petty yes.

it cannot be in less than 1% of matches when in my last 13 games ive bleed out 4 times while the killer just walked around me
It's as whole entire player base. Not justifying slugging because I get slugged a lot. I have even made it to the hatch a few times crawling around. The thing is a lot of these killers play on a VPN and they are out of their realm when matched with some squads. I mean seriously leave the Asian Gaming Gods alone. So they met with some sour matches and got beat so bad they go into every match the same way or retaliation. Peanits has even said a player shouldn't do that but a majority do. Some killers see content creators do it and think hey that's how I win. It's a vicious circle.
The only way to stop it is to put survivors in cages and make slugging punishable. There is no reason why a killer can't stomp on someone. Make flashlights a flashbangs stronger to counter the saves, so you can escape (maybe a stun like wiretap) and respawn pallets.
I have been told on other sites by multiple killers slugging is the new meta, so it's only going to get worse.

I don't think I've seen a single Killer go into the void to get a haunt. That said, sometimes when I've spent time going into the void as Killer, I've already lost 3 gens and the game is nearly over. Too many players so far are sweating and playing "normally" for me to be able to gauge if the event is Killer or Survivor sided. Neither side can progress their objectives by going into the void, so I guess it's hardly a surprise most players are treating it like a time wasting side quest instead of, you know, a fun game play mechanic or a way to earn more BP.
I have the odd fun game when the other Survivors are going into the void to get void crystals, but most players may as well be playing the regular mode for how little they've interacted with it.
I haven't lost any gens by going into the void. But I will say this for the past two weeks gens have been flying in some matches at the start. There would be only 1 person on a gen and they are done fast. I can usually catch up at 2 gens and turn the game around but not these. Endgame there are no perks or toolboxes. Today as survivor I noticed a gen get repaired 50% faster than mine. Same thing endgame no gen perks and a toolbox isn't going to last two gens. I saw this in two separate games. I am thinking there's a gen hack to make them fast.
