DbD has a deeply insecure playerbase. It's inconceivable to players that they're average or not good, or had a bad game. If you give players no feedback about where their skill level is, they're going to make something up and move the goal posts whenever they need to.
What did many players do when BHVR released kill rates showing SWF in the top MMR bracket still escapes less than 50% of the time? They said the data was wrong, made up a reason why the data couldn't be valid, or assumed they must be in some unaccounted for Ultron MMR bracket on a hidden server.
I remember that they also said it was one member of the SWF that escaped not the whole team the next round, but counted it as a SWF escape, so people are thinking all the SWF's are escaping as a team but it could only be one person.
Yes I feel in this game killer mains are entitled and feel the need to win. How many streamers go on win streaks? How many streamers show slugging, camping, tunneling, and face camping for the Mori. The fact is almost everyone of them. So people in turn see this is how you play to win.
Now they do balance around SWF because most teams coordinate their perks and yes it can be super annoying and there are the few that just go out to make the killers game miserable and cry when they are slugged.
Soloq is the most popular way to play and 90% of the time you will have dead weight on your team and this drags the team down even further.

I like him and a survivor and killer standpoint.
I do feel he is a tricky one to learn but being on console it's difficult to switch through forms quickly and figure it all out. I'm sure I'll get there but I stick with wolf and Dracula for now. I do think he needs a stronger cooldown on switching forms and hellfire. The Hellfire is great and stops infinite loopers, but being on the survivor end to many who play him spam the Hellfire and it's annoying. He is fun to engage in a chase though. I love it and it's fairly easy to dodge. I think the bats are a little OP but you can see them coming, but it drags out a game when they can patrol to easily with batform. I don't particularly like the scent balls but I do understand them and the pounce is like you need that first pounce to judge where you land. This I have noticed from players and playing him on my own. All in all just slight tweaks. I don't feel anything needs to change on him but slowdowns to changing forms.

The most legitimate reason killers slug is literally due to pallet saves and flashlight saves. So they announce they are going to 'fix' slugging by allowing flashlight and pallet saves in 2v8.
Instead of less slugging, we will have more. The killer needs to only spot the job that can unbreakaBill (one of the classes can pick themselves up), and that's the only survivor class that they have to cage. Everyone else will be slugged because you have now given them a legitimate reason to slug…
You are right that doesn't make sense. The only way to fix slugging is basekit unbreakable without being hooked at all. However the thing is they acknowledged slugging was a widespread issue and maybe now it will go into regular play for a solution. I wasn't slugged all that much during 2v8, but the one time was even a killer bot.
-
There is multiple reasons why but most comes down that first chase. If someone is getting chased in a lengthy chase and not one gen is done or worked on it's frustrating. I also see people quit because they were first downed or they knew the killer had lightborn. There are also more and more people in soloq not doing anything but hiding and escaping. I won't save them. I think most survivors forget we can see what your doing when we are hanging out. I think they need to do more in BP wise. Because someone can literally do nothing, pull and exit gate and escape and get more BP than someone who did 3 or 4 gens. It isn't fair. People are fed up with soloq and the lazy players.
-
I had to slug yesterday and I hated it. I had a toxic SWF that had one person doing gens and the other 3 followed me around clicking flashlights jumping through windows. When I found the gen jockey, which was an easy down, they all herded me away from the hook. Which ended up slugging 3 and hooking 1 at 4 gens but they wasted time. I saw their builds too and it was nothing but a bully squad, and yes those players play like this and cry about being slugged in a situation they created. Oh they all brought the hook spread apart offer too.
Now yesterday as survivor I played about 15 games and was slugged in EVERY game. I recently changed my load out to include unbreakable and it was used every match. Usually slug to win. It was boring and not fun. There is no reason for it.
-
I hate this behavior. As a not so swell killer you get t bagged at a gate because either they were better than you or they did some nasty team work (yesterday I had a squad that didn't do gens and just follow me around and try to use head on). As a survivor I don't like it because being a survivor that wins means a killer who lost. There is no reason to be a poor sport and rub salt in the wound. If the killer lets me go I do one dip if I don't have an item. Again though most streamers at the end of their winning of multiple edited videos t bag the killer so these people think that's what you have to do.

how is that a good thing? Gen speed has always been problematic.. and these 10 extra seconds make it worse and more of a necessity to use gen regression perks
You should use a Gen regression perk. I mean having a full end game build is risky so is a full aura build because you are allowing survivors to complete gens out of your range, therefore forcing a 3 gen situation and even if you have 3 survivors can complete that last gen. I have seen more killers lose without a gen regression perk then they probably have game frustration. From a survivor standpoint it's great because we can complete the gen and then save them, work as a team to rescue. From a killer standpoint I don't mind it because I haven't noticed a difference. But I patrol and don't wait by the hook, that's boring.
-
I have also seen Killers DC for a lot of reasons too. So it's not just survivors. Survivors there are more of but Killers have this mentality too.

My friend, yes you paid money, but you also sighed the agreement of TOS.
Leaving from matches is just not appreciated in ANY game where YOU being a part of a team.
You see… This exact mentality of players who thinks they can leave whenever they want - is something I'm trying to encourage NOT doing. Besides I'm not ordering people how they should PLAY the game. I'm telling them KEEP PLAYING PLEASE! Don't leave your team because of your personal preferences!
Read my post message again - I'm not ordering people of how they should play!
This is what I have seen and been told from various players.
They paid for the game so they can play how they want to.
Ok that's cool but if you're on here slugging away at 5 gens or face camping just to get the Mori, you are part of the problem.
Slugging is part of the Meta.
No it's not.
You had lightborn
Deal with it or don't play online games with the adults.
Someone downed on first and said I was tunneling.
Don't heal under the hook right after you were hung.
Killers DC if they didn't get a kill or 4K at endgame.
You are not supposed to win every game (this also goes with those salty survivors)
Why did you down me when I was off the hook?
Why did you try and take the protection hit if you didn't have endurance?
There is also the DC hack that if a game isn't going well they disconnect.
The most I have seen is DC with a map offering. Also there could be game frustration as well, there is slugging, tunneling, and yes face camping is making a return to get the Mori's. The problem with these tactics is that they are shown on streams and now that they offer drops from Twitch these tactics have gotten worse. Also I feel the sabos are frustrating as well. I have seen equal DC's between killers and survivors lately and if you give up that easily you don't belong playing online games.
DC's won't stop because people are feeling entitled to win. Certain dodgy player tactics are creating a boring gameplay. Their team maybe not doing anything. I can't tell you how many times I have led a chase for well over 3 minutes and not one gen is done or even touched, when I get hooked they are all hiding. There are lots of factors but I feel they do need to punish habitual DC players and idle ones as well. DC'S should NOT happen only in certain situations, but I am no way promoting it. I mean emergencies do happen.
-
Last time it was decent this time I don't know perks don't matter when the killers are just camping. Plus medkits are not healing fully. I don't know if it's a bug or not but I just used a green medkit and it only healed me halfway. This is not good this time around.

I personally haven't noticed a drop in survivors at all, my queue times are under 30 seconds for both Killer and Survivor.
Wow. I'm waiting at least 10 minutes for killer and when I play survivor my lobby is usually empty then we play musical chairs with survivors.

Maybe it's because people are just fed up with all of it 🤷. Having the same boring experience each match gets old really quickly. Being left to bleed out for 4 minutes is possibly the most boring thing I've ever experienced in a game. Sadly their isn't a Give up button or a way to bleed out faster so I can try my hand at a different match.
I don't slug and I had to recently because when they redid the Silent Hill board they removed the hooks by the exit gates and all the survivors were in the courtyard so I could only hook one. It ended up working out for the hooks but slugging as a killer is boring for me.

THe majority of Ghostface's I encounter camp the hook with him or purposesly face camp to get the mori. Others know how to play him. I feel there are flaws in him as a character whole that have been mentioned. I still despise Wraiths though.

Queue times over the last couple days have been pretty short for both sides on EU servers. I reckon that might have something to do with the Lights Out modifier but it definitely doesn't look like nobody wants to play survivor. If anything, I haven't seen the survivor incentive exceed 50% since (it's mostly 25% or nothing at all), so that would indicate that the ratio between killers and survivors is better than usual.
That's my point. I'm not saying it's a drastic drop but a noticeable one. During 2v8 regular mode was just non existent and wait times but both sides were up. I'm worried that if they don't improve the way they approach slugging and tunneling it will get worse. I actual prefer to play with European gamers, y'all are the nicest!

I don't know I'm still having fun playing survivor. You might be burned out I don't know your situation.
It's a general statement. Wait times for killer are up even when I play. It isn't that I'm not having fun, because some matches are really fun. I'm purely speaking of survivor rate drop because of playstyles. It isn't fun when you get slugged most of your matches for no reason. One day I played and it back to back matches of being slugged for absolutely no reason. I can't back the next day but a newer player or older player would just give up. There also hasn't been a bonus in killer since I can remember.
-
It should be temporary disabled and then see who and why they DC at what rate. Say a survivor DC's on first hook 9 out 10 matches then maybe instead of punishing them with waiting make them go to an updated tutorial before they can play again.
With a killer of they have X amount DC's against them and they are tracked within the AC area then they must complete a tutorial too.
This way they can see what is causing the DC's. Not getting their way, frustration at the gameplay, or just emergencies.

This.
The problem with the whole "balance around high MMR" is that most people aren't there. Changing things solely based on situations experienced only by a small minority would hurt the overall majority of players around.
DBD is not a competitive game, it never was and it never will be. That is why tournaments are external. There is a different priority here.
To add to this most top tier are well oiled coordinate 4 person swf, which is NOT the majority of players. You can't balance around the elite. Maybe the original person who stated this should read Animal Farm
So kill rates are sqewed because people intentionally throw games.

I'm not a fan of slugging, but sometimes it's necessary. Had a bully squad that were all running power struggle, unbreakable, and a mix of other perks designed to make hooking survivors almost impossible. They brought the map offering, and they essentially would never go anywhere that didn't have a pallet. Ended up having to slug all of them. Couldn't dare pick any of them up because of the 4 power struggles. Couldn't pick them up the moment they went down because they were always swarming with each other to try to do pallet stun saves. Was just ridiculous. So yeah, yall can just stay down there on the ground for 4 minutes.
I honestly see your point and agree with you that slugging and tunneling sometimes are necessary in order secure a win or because there is no other way. However what we seeing is a widespread event where it's happening for absolutely no reason. The amount of exposed perks that are out there are unreal, you spend most of your game screaming or slugged. It's at the point now where most killers automatically assume they are up against a 4 person squad, when that simply isn't true. It's way out of hand.

Yeah, I am done with killer lately. I have gone from 50 / 50 to survivor main.
I am ash 4 killer still. Usually I get iri for both by now, I am iri on survivor.
I just cant do it. MMR is killing the game for me. And it doesnt even do its job. Look at the latest hardcore series OTZ and JRM did. Literally 1st match on a brand new account, they get a Prestige 40 myers double iri full teachable build.
I actually just want to go back to the old system. MMR is #########. I really cant bring myself to play killer anymore.
Problem is MMR sucks for survivor too. As a duo with my friend it always puts us with 2 noobs to help them out. I was put with someone who had literally 9 minutes yesterday,
Me too. I think it's a sudden loss in players. Since Chucky came out there was a drop. I went from a daily player to maybe 2 to three times a week. It's just unbearable to play. When I play killer you either get massive squads or potatoes there is no in-between. I have another account too with maybe 20 hours and I am being paired with Prestige 100's and I am not even Prestige on any characters lol. So yeah there is something off. Maybe not intentionally done but maybe accidentally.

Same I either get left on the hook until second phase or die on first hook. Or I end up doing most of the work. When I check out their perks they are either all newbie perks or they only have one. It's like why do I even play. And the killer is like Zues.
-
Killer brings slugged survivor next to hook drops survivor then face camps. Killer proceeds to face camp while a team mate tries to get you off the hook the meter does not fill. Killer waits outside the circle to tunnel you out. Killer weaves in and out of the anti camp to start and stop meter. Oh, let's not forget all the exposed perks and the introduction of Chucky that really just messes with it. It's just garbage and created more of a problem.
-
I totally agree, part of the reason I reduced playing was the de pip and the anti camp is just a one hook death in most scenarios.
-
I feel this. I don't like this and I play both sides. If I am on soloq and see a player doing something like I bolt and won't save you, you get what you deserve. There is no need for it, just leave and act like a T waffle.
-
I will eventually on a sale. His perks are not that great and if anything to complete a collection same with Chucky to complete a collection. Wake's perks are not that great and you have to be good with a flashlight which I am not. I mean Nick at least had Dramatogry and that's a fun perk and useful.
I also don't want to invest money until there is serious improvements to the game. It's gone downhill extremely fast and no longer a fun experience.
-
The great divide. "4 players the BNP and toolboxes".... where on earth in Soloq do you ever see that? In a year of playing I haven't seen it, and lately when I play Soloq nope, as Killer though yep and I can tell their a team or at least a 3 person SWF. The nerf around SWF's because they are the strongest and abuse the most and they are generally the most toxic on turn causes the killers to become toxic, which causes videos to be uploaded and shows new players this is how you play. It's a vicious cycle and those that have been playing can adapt but when they nerf much needed perks specific for Soloq that's when the people leave.

I am by no means an expert in programming, but why is it so difficult/impossible for BHVR on their end to run a program that detects if a player does something that they shouldn't be able to do in a match (based on their perk loadout) and then auto-ban based on that? Seems like a way easier solution than this ridiculous, time-consuming process where the burden is all on the players to do the reporting, but hoping people smarter than me can explain why this solution won't work.
BTW, I don't think it's just paranoia. I frequently run into players doing things they shouldn't be able to do in matches. Most frequent is subtle changes in speed as survivor is running in a straight line, scratch marks non-existent or randomly disappearing, or getting ridiculous amounts of distance after losing line of sight.
They do ban a legit cheater. However it is so easy to create a duplicate account and start from scratch. So in a way they do ban the account but the banned one creates a new one. The only way to stop is create codes to block for your basic hacks which affect all online games.
-
DC's are up and survivor bonuses are ongoing, that tells you there is a problem.
No they should not get rid of lobby dodging either, most people don't want to play with TTV's and dip.
Maybe it's gameplay on the killers side and no one wants to admit it.
DC penalties are dumb it just makes people want to play another game and honestly the way this game is it's about time until there is some major changes.
-
I agree with this completely. Though PC players disagree but they also like their wins. The PC base I feel is shrinking in especially on Steam, but there is other platforms. Console is their biggest platform and they should allow consoles to play with consoles it would even out. I can definitely tell when I play with or against a PC player. Though I have noticed the Switch does move similar to a PC, but we load in much slower than everyone else and it isn't a wifi issue either. When I play on my switch it's a good 5 seconds behind everyone else, but my Xbox it's usually right on.
I also feel they should not restrict their servers to locations either, no other companies really do that and all it does would put other gamers in a different world. There is major difference in how other countries play actually at team games and that would really make the devs make quick changes.
-
Not trying to be rude but why? I know some are toxic but some are not. I play with others with absolutely no coms, it's an assumption that ask SWF's are the same.

@Beatricks said:
I'm all for incentivizing not tunneling instead of punishing it.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen a single solution in all these years that would work out as intended. By the nature of the asymmetric gameplay, getting the first survivor out is just such a fundamentally strong tactic that unless it is punished severely, it's just way too strong to ignore.
I'm at the point where I think we just need a casual and a ranked game mode. Even with all the down sides that would cause it would still be a net positive change.
There are solutions because they can just get rid of the anti camp bar and replace it with a gen speed up. Killers have now exploited it so now no one rescues you especially with Friends till the end. This way this encourages the killer to patrol more and gens to go off. Also no progress will be lost if your out on first hook, that whole point system needs to be redone.
There is also a suggestion where if a survivor is chased and hooked within 45-60 seconds after being hooked then the hook doesn't count.
Slugging also needs to be addressed either there needs to be basekit unbreakable or say for a trail period they give the community that leave option if they are being slugged. Then the player gets logged after so many survivors leave for being slugged the killer must play games against bots.
I do realize that survivors are toxic too and that does need to be addressed as well. But most games killers don't even try an figure out who they are up against and just go around and tunnel and slug.
No one wants to lose but the more unbearable the killers keep making it the more survivors will start to leave more and more.
-
@Pulsar said:
Incentives do not work.
Make the unhooked Survivor intangible until another Survivor is downed or until they perform a conspicuous action.
This is the only way. Make the kill not count until another person is hooked. My last match last night lasted 3 minutes and I lost progress. That isn't fair. No wonder people don't want to play. Tunneling has been shown all over YouTube and Twitch as an easy strategy to get a 4K. Not only that they all run aura perks with NOED so they are crummy games. Most games you'll spend screaming your head off.
-
It is a common problem and the only ones that defend it are killer mains.
-
I understand where all the complaints are coming from and what they want is to encourage chases instead of tunneling and gen camping. However what institutes a 3 gen scenario and wouldn't that just be a lay out issue instead? Like board design and place the gens more spread out. I forget which board but there is literally a wide open space and there are no gens, there are hooks but no gens. There is also one of the garage boards you could just spread the gens out better. Not many boards have the 3 gen scenario.
-
Honestly there are a lot of new players and they may not know what it is. Also with the amount of slugging it can be confusing. I pay attention though and see if you're not making noise and no blood I just run away lol.
-
If you read the small print, this change WILL NOT go to PTB, but will be released at some point. Also this Gen change is to encourage chase instead of gen camping along with the other perk change to deter tunneling. Obviously they are aware how bad these have gotten and are trying to make small changes before drastic ones. Just like the Shadowborn players brought it on themselves. You keep doing toxic game play changes will be made.

So you suggest holding a player hostage that doesn't want to be in that game any longer? Doesn't sound like a solution, just sounds like you want to troll someone.
Hook Suicides are not the root of the issue, if BHVR started solving root issues, we wouldn't even be here.
This, this is the problem. I have been in so many matches where I was left on first hook for absolutely no reason. My teammates staring at a totem or hiding in a locker. Basement camping is still a thing and totally worthless to attempt to get a teammate. Soloq is an issue or the new matchmaking. Yes I have died on first hook on purpose because I can see my teammates do absolutely nothing. Anti camp does nothing, haste after hooking does nothing, there needs to be actual improvements. There is no teamwork. So if I want to dip.out of a game I should be able to.
Maybe DC penalties should be tabled for a period. Then games with two or more DC's can be reviewed and see what the problem actually is. Is it survivor crybaby or is it actual killer gameplay. Maybe give a reason on all platforms for a DC. This would actually determine why. The system can not tell pocket loss from pushing a button.
To be clear I have made stupid mistakes as a survivor and still stayed in the game.
-
The thing with distortion it works with only one person like calm spirit. If you're next to someone who isn't running it, it's useless. Sounds like OP climbed the ranks by doing the minimum and is now finding what the strong SWF's are doing. It's easy to destroy soloq players, even 2 SWF's it's those 4 person SWF'S that are well coordinated and you actually need to work for your wins as killer.

Perks make you less likely to lose, so it does affect match making in that respect. I think they do a lot of heavy lifting in this game and I'm certain I could climb to a higher MMR if I equipped much stronger perks and add-ons. But I won't do that because I don't like playing ultra competitive DBD.
I think perks like Pop Goes The Weasel and Pain Resonance have additional value in being so demoralising to face. There's nothing worse than returning to your nearly completed gen only to find that it's been regressed almost back to nothing. If you're also facing a top tier Killer playing "optimally", it's enough to make you want to quit there and then because you know you're in for a 4K at 3-5 gens.
I think BHVR need to find a better way to take the sweat out of the game. Although I think the MMR system is (mostly) working as intended, because stronger players tend to face other stronger players more often than not, I'm worried that SBMMR brings a sweatier vibe to the game. The better you do the harder your trials get, so you bring stronger perks and play styles to compensate to keep winning. And so it goes on, in a never ending arms race.
BHVR have tried to mitigate the tendency for this to happen somewhat by making our MMR a secret, but then players come up with their own metrics anyway by doing a "win streak" or using a third party website to access player stats.
What could BHVR do to solve this problem? That I don't know. But I do know that this game isn't much fun when one side is sweating way more than the other. And I'm not sure enough of the player base wants to sweat to satisfy the more competitive side of the community. I mean, for every sweaty Killer you need at least 4 sweaty Survivors for a fair match up. So there's never going to be enough Survivors for the best Killers to face, leading to lower MMR Survivors being matched up with these players and then nobody has a good time.
I don't mind a sweaty game but the real problem is the people and their game plays. No one wants to go up against players who have infinite tier 3 Michelle Myers and slug you the entire game without hooking, you get more points running the killer than doing the gens (which is the actual objective of the game), your usually slugged, tunneled, or killed at 5 gens. They are losing survivors and people are just not wanting to play. It's mostly teens that are playing and that's the problem and the devs. They allowed problems to go on and ignore them for so long.
-

Because they're not designed to solve the problems. Just fulfill a quota so they can be referenced when people complain.
I mean BHVR doesn't even need a PR team. Look at all the people defending these terrible systems in the thread alone lol.
Don't expect anything significant to happen to gameplay until there is a significant financial gain or the people who are in charge get replaced with those who prioritize gameplay over profits (not happening.)
This I totally agree with. Now look at this. Chucky was only $5, skins were more. How many Tiffany's or scare faced Chucky's do you see? Now compare this to the amount of past survivor new skins and that's a huge difference. They are reworking all their killers because survivors left and are no longer spending money, killers won't spend money. They pumped up the bots, anti camping, and all these things for survivors and they are just a let down. It's like your parents hinting they are going to buy you n car and then you get a matchbox instead.

I am in lower MMR and they all bring the Hexes lol, that's all they do, they even babysit those totems.

Basekit Unbrekable for when there are 2 survivors left in the game asap
This is what I don't understand about the mentality of some killer mains. I get that some people are hard to beat but seriously you are not meant to win every match. The fact is you need 3 times the amount of survivors than people playing killer. Given that there has been a bonus on survivor since Chucky came out says that they are lacking people wanting to play as survivor. The slugging in general has gotten out of control along with tunneling and camping. With killers constantly slugging at this rate Unbreakable will become basekit. Without survivors you don't have a game, they make cosmetics mostly for survivors, killers don't spend money on stuff like survivors.
-
I think it's lame but there are cues I give the final player like I don't heal myself or I start to shake back and forth like no because more than likely they are camping me.
That being said I have been running boon of exponential and if it's still up and close I crawl to it and heal myself pretty quickly and make a quick escape. Downside is with matchmaking most players don't know that this perk exists and if they get knocked down they won't crawl to it. More experienced though it has really worked in our favor though.
-
It comes down to the players. Some don't play to play others just want to make the game unenjoyable. I was actually told this lots of times by killers that just tunnel out at 5 gens they just want to ruin as many peoples day. They did change matchmaking because it was in the survey. How I became better at survivor is started playing killer, learn from your prey. You will learn loops, pallet distance, mind game, even predict which perks a killer is using.
But don't worry right now survivor is rough in soloq for lots, not just beginners. Try not trust the high Prestige either they tend to screw you.

So instead of standing directly in front of the survivor, killer stands slightly farther away. When survivor is unhooked, they chase them down again.
It didn't accomplish anything.
All of the reasons you listed in your previous post along with this. It isn't worth being a survivor. As someone pointed out there has been a survivor bonus since Chucky came out. I don't think I have ever seen it so long. Yeah games were bad prior but they really went downhill afterwards. Not only this but I have DC'd more times than not recently because gameplay is terrible. I have not even been playing. You are right killers do get attention immediately, but what they need to realize they need 4 times the amount of survivors and survivors buy cosmetics. They won't buy something if they are not happy with how things are. 3 gen is their fault because it lies in game design and they had ample time to fix it. There is a new survivor coming out but I highly doubt people will rush out and get it.
People do end their own games for other reasons too, but they probably wanted out because of a streak of bad games or the same killer

Tutorials are like Terms of service, no one really likes them or pays attention to them. However you need to realize most gamers nowadays use YouTube and Twitch. This also is bad for the game because 70% of the time you get people doing dumb stuff and showing what ridiculous builds to use. The fact is people don't want to do things because 90% of killers go for the tunneling and slugging at 5 gens anymore so it's more of a game of who gets the hatch if anyone. You don't get points from doing gens as you would running the killer, unhooking, or healing, even crushing boons. They need to rework points and XP. Redo slugging stance and tunneling.
Most new players you have entering the game are from the Roblox age, they don't know how to play as a team.

im Scared for whenever they rework swamp
they are totally gonna butcher the map and have it be a giant dead zone or the most survivor sided map in the game
I like the swamp as both killer and survivor. I think the main problem BHVR has is a lot of people that WANT to play killer but don't want to put the effort into playing killer. While you have these survivors that have adapted to crappy plays by predictable killers.

I have forgotten to report ingame but made a video and sent it with a report. It seemed to work in the past. Had one today but it was the whole team and it was odd. Videoed the game in clips and reported and made another report with sending the video.

Yes it was miserable to play killer, but making it an exclusive to killers is unfair.
For the combo part: I think it would be sad when you can‘t make a 150% movement speed ghost face, you know. But I understand the problem behind it, because of it perks have to be bad to not be to strong in combos.
I understand that but when perks combined become overpowered together then one gets a nerf because a select few exploit it. For instance a killer would not be able to use a complete end game build or a survivor would not be able to do a complete gen build because if you do have the right perks you can do a gen in like 30-45 seconds, I tried it out and it was boring AF. This way perks stay in tact and you can use them with builds. I mean MFT is still strong, but not like super strong. Also I see your point about Ghost face.
