  • To put it into perspective the Anniversary event sucked so much for survivors. A lot of them could not finish because of how bad the general population of killers were playing. Yes I do see how this was a survivor sided event but I feel it was a make up for the Anniversary Event. I do agree it was on the survivor side and I main survivor.

  • I agree the pip system needs to be refined. Killers are highly rewarded for doing nothing or doing something equally. It isn't fair. Survivors the same just because they escape and didn't touch a gen all round doesn't mean they should get pipped or high points. The thing that doesn't makes sense is you have a chill game and do everything but get heal, get chased and you lose a pip. Getting tunneled right out of a game or slugged out shouldn't be held against you because some other teammate hid in a locker waiting for the hatch. It needs to be redone. The game has changed for the worse and the numbers show.

  • @Caiman said:

Why are you calling them killer-bots? Are you pretending that killer players aren't real people?

I believe OP refers to them as bots because there is no real game play and no chase or anything exciting. It is the same thing over and over.

  • Items are there but the rods are not stacking or giving you the full amounts. Killers are making out. I had one match with only one rod and got 107,000 BP then had another with 4 rods as survivor did gens, ran, went into the void all that and only got 50,000....seems off a bit.

  • A way to combat the amount of slugging is simple. Re work the point system. After a killer slugs a player and the player remains down for 60 seconds they should be given the option to remove themselves from the game without penalty and points intact. Here comes the twist, this will then forfeit any killer points and remove the kill from the killer status. 60 seconds is more than enough time to hook a survivor. I realize that sometimes slugging is needed but if your up against a toxic squad who doesn't really do anything but bully you you would be able sacrifice one game for slugged team. Slugging is out of control and this should bring the balance back. Not saying it needs to permanently done just to stabilize the current state.

  • To sum it up the update is useless. At least face camping you could counter. This is like being the goat in Jurassic Park waiting to be eaten by the T Rex. All these face campers have figured out exactly where the cutoff is and just wait and by the time you get rescued (if you do), you get tunneled and downed again. This update just made tunneling so much easier, especially for those basement campers. If they aren't doing that they are slugging and dropping off people by the hooks and still patrolling as it slows the meter to a snail speed. Maybe SWF's are not the actual problem it is the people trying to play killer and can't. I have seen toxic teams but rarely get them, more so I see killers that can't chase or refuse to they want the game handed to them. That is what the problem is, they want to be Killer but don't want to be effort to get the kill. Survivors are not innocent either. There are some that I swear just are good with a flashlight.

DBD is in a really awful state at the moment. I do not know a single player having fun playing the game and around me everyone has between 2k and 3k hours into the game.

We are all pissed with the current state of the game and we do not understand how the devs have not actually take any action to revert back to the previous state.

Nerfing every self healing options is a terrible idea, same as nerfing gen regression perks.

Those two nerfs are a really bad idea and just prove that the devs do not know their game and what they are doing regarding the its balance.

Playing games after games where the killer is always going back instantly on saves to get easy hits is just super toxic.

This I agree with. The only ones that say the game is in a fine state are the face campers.

  • I would like a Queen Alien that has a detachable baby like the twins but with Plague like capabilities. Then Ripley as the survivor with Jonsey as a healing Perk and the Yellow Space Armor for slugging protection hit. Ripley's tag line would be awesome but I doubt it.

  • Ok I thought it was me 😆. I am a console player and I am thinking I am just out here swatting flies or something.

  • No it isn't fun. I will admit that. There hasn't been a fair game since the update dropped and it's been nothing but camping, slugging, and bleeding out. Today there was a nurse that just carried us all out from the exit gates so we couldn't crawl out we just bled out or waited until the timer was up. This is the worst. I am not one to quit a game but there seems to be no viable options when there isn't fair game play. Those who say git good are the ones that face camp or have been playing for years. Not all of us are in a SWF.

There are a few things that may help you:

    1. Forget perks - focus on the basics: You could have the absolute optimum setup, but it won't work if the base game isn't right. Unfortunately, improving means you will lose chases often as you learn, but it's how you learn to out-think the opponent. This leads on to some of the other points.

    2. When you start a trial, don't go in thinking about the 4k. Think smaller. Think about this time focusing on chasing loops, or maybe forgetting the power and seeing how you do with M1, or even work on how to control the map more. Make smaller goals in a trial. It removes the stress, which for me is a huge reason why some trials feel horrid compared to others.

    3. Be unpredictable. Again, this come down to experimenting and having fun. I have a randomised build every single trial, using DBD Randomizer. This comes up with things survivors do not expect. It also can add into some unusually effective and interesting results. It also makes you think differently and keeps you out of a rutt, so you may probably enter a trial with a fresh mindset, which will affect your results. Also, just mix up your play. Run into a pallet one time, respect another. Make it confusing for your opponent.

    4. Play in ways that reduce stress. The single most important thing I ever did in this game is forget about securing a kill and just keep hunring. I not often camped before, but sometimes (such as getting a down when all gens are done) made me think I had to secure it. This led to (for me) an intensely boring yet stressful experience. Now, I just hook and hunt. In fact, my kills have improved because this not only was unexpected by survivors for me to go on the offensive, but also removing that panic reduces anxiety and stress, which means I think clearer and have fun more. Sure some like the optimal tunnel and camp techniques, but I honestly can't think of anything more boring, predictable and removes the chances of me learning more. Also, yes, this has resulted in more kills in some trials than I reckon I'd get otherwise.

    5. Realism. Unlike the 99.99% of the playerbase who apparently are all in the top 1% MMR, you're not trying to be at competition level, so don't play like you're in the pros. Don't destroy the fun for you. Once you focus on just enjoying the game, you'll naturally play better over time. You won't feel worried about putting on pressure. You won't start forcing chases which will ultimately give you a haemorrage (can't spell, sorry). Ironically, this will improve how you play as messing about or trying out new ideas will lead to vast improvement.

    6. Most importantly for me is to realise this is only a game and do not let yourself be dragged down by what people write. You'll often read how people 4k all the time, or escape, or say killer/survivor is "easy mode". Please remember life isn't based around a single game, as well as - like most things online - people are often not truthful due to some bizarre idea that maybe not being the best is a sin. It's okay to mess up. It's okay to not be great compared to what others say. What's not okay is to compare yourself, which ultimately is what everyone does, subconsciously or not. You will have better games. You will also have rubbish games. Everyone does. Even the best players were once making mistakes all over and will still do!

In summary, the most important basic aspects are to refind the fun, play in ways that dom't induce stress, experiment, be random and focus on bitesized aims in a trial which you set, nobody else. If you set a goal to 1k with Hillbilly without camping and juat using a chainsaw, for example, then that's your goal. Forget what others put on you, because YOU bought the game to play as you wish, not them.

    This all of this!

You need to also remember this the internet and you can't believe everything you read. Just because these people are saying they are having easy games doesn't mean they are. I play both now yes gen rush is a thing and three greens are usually done before I even hang one person but in that time the pressure is on. So don't get nervous. Drop the chase after 10-15 seconds. Don't keep getting looped. I use whispers and the Knights perk about injured survivors. Don't camp because most of these 4k people on here are using sweaty tactics but won't admit it and don't compare yourself to anyone. MM is broken so you will lose some matches and that's OK. There are hackers so just tell yourself they have to cheat to actually do good. Don't freak when the gens pop off I have gotten more kills when there are 2 gens left. Since you play survivor think like a survivor too when play killer.

  • @Wilx said:

It's worse than ever. Killers camp and tunnel then ask survivors why they gen rush. Every survivor is using lithe or sprint burst, because dead hard got nerfed. Apparently waiting out 0.5 seconds was too much. Gens fly by. 90% of the perks are useless, so the Devs nerf the 10% that aren't.

I agree with this. I don't understand why nerf healing and gen regression but keep all the killer healing regression. It is just really bad. I mean I sucked as killer but then gens fly by I am still able to get that 3K game with 1 gen left. I can't win as survivor because of camping or the joy of us bleeding out. It is just constantly the same thing every game.

  • I want an Aliens Chapter. Have the queen that can release a baby like the twins and have Ripley as a survivor with Jonesy as a perk. Then Ripley has her famous tagline....

  • @Ivanynakov said:

Tunneling, camping, slugging is core strategies of the game. Same as bodyblocking and flashlight saves. Don't blame killers for following game rules. Blame developers for setting the rules.

Bodyblocking is literally against the rules. I have been bodyblocked more times this week so lazy killers can get their kills since I started playing. Tunneling is really a strategy move as you are going to eliminate someone and there is even an offering to Spawn next to a survivor, so yeah that's within the devs fault. Camping is just poor tactics. You don't have to camp to get 3k or 4k game. I mean you have to realize you are not meant to win every game and some play unfairly. Learn the ways and you can actually play.

  • This is why there is such a divide. Most newcomers only play soloq and then they rely on something it gets nerfed and they get mad. Then older players say "get good" or "skill issue". When really it isn't either of those it's we don't have the communication that swf has and we shouldn't have to join a swf to play a game that's what soloq is for. The skill issue lays within camper killers who avoid a chase that's the all issue.

  • You can blame the killer, the game design, a number of things. Fact is everyone is still unnerved about changes and can only chat with certain people. So obviously the killer was taking the game hostage in a way because this is a scenario I have increasingly scene especially in my MMR. Getting a 3K or 4K game is slightly easier now and killers are ranking up faster so they maybe unmatched with actual players out of their league. Fact is other teammate probably couldn't message said killer and could message you so you got the crap message. People need to learn to yell at the TV or screen like we did back in the day instead of hiding behind a screen spreading toxic crap.

  • This I agree with. I am new and it is very easy for us newbies to get wiped out by The Trapper, The Pig, Michael Myers, Onryo, Bubba. Any of them actually. I also feel that they shouldn't allow their servers to be area dependent either they should just open them up. This would speed up matchmaking and also improve MM as well. It isn't fun. Once I go up against The pig its like your dead in 2 minutes. I forget which perk they are using now but it's the one that the entity takes over the gen that is really popular so it makes getting gens done really time consuming as well. The ones that have been playing for years this update is pretty refreshing and but the killer aspect for us low levels is pretty crappy and there is no chance is bringing in fresh players.

  • Before the update is was possible in soloq as it happened to me a lot. We took turns doing gens and looping the killer. There was also COH and it was a 50/50 shot. Now it's like a hail Mary or play rock, paper, scissors to find out who will be the sacrifice so at least one can find the hatch.

Not because of the actual arguments or gameplay; I agreed with him and it was entertaining. However, Otz was cruel enough to show old footage of Hawkins at the beginning.

    Hawkins.

Ah Hawkins, why did the copyright gods and short-sighted execs at Netflix treat us so?

    😥

I never played the board. But Netflix is like Disney and Warner Brothers straight up greed. I sell on Etsy and you have to watch what you put in your listings because they do sweeps and report people with certain titles and tags that match licensed characters or titles. They want money and they monopolize it.

I never used dead hard, but the medkit situation is a joke. I don't have an issue with the increased healing times, but medkits in general are as pathetic as keys now. I don't think the Devs have a clue.

I agree I liked this game because you got to play quick matches. Now with healing a match lasts and eternity. If I wanted that I would have gone back to Friday the 13th and even then you heal quicker! I mean a match is just hooked, camped, heal, rinse repeat. There are no time for gens. Now all these new ones are playing Wraith and bodyblocking. It is really bad.

    I never used DH either.

Healing takes so much time. 70 % are using sloopy. Then whatever u take as a medi kit it’s a one heal. Boon is unnecessary u used to be able to heal urself in it pretty fast. Now u need another surv to heal and if both are hurt the killer finds two. Great.

This is like being one hit all the time which shouldn’t be the case I think. Many surv don’t do gens properly cuz they can’t heal themselves. Yk it’s not just the healing it influences everything: the gen work, the unhook situation, …

I‘m just rlly not happy with the update.

I think the difference is noobs vs older players, and SWF vs soloq. There is a stark difference in viewpoints and yes starting out in this game right and still being a noob is disheartening. This is something that people who have played this game for years fail to see. Just because they want a major change doesn't mean a new part of the community does. Balance means Balance. I agree with DH making you work up to it that seems fair enough. The healing is different though because SWF is different that soloq and that's what they base these changes on. Yeah I want to adapt but I can't because people in my MMR are just being PAF about it. You need self healing and sometimes you don't, within the past month you needed more than ever in soloq. I have not even being matched with people in my league. It's not fun and pointless to play.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/373447/i-think-the-matchmaking-system-is-beyond-terrible

Ok well this is gonna be super short and super well not sweet. I am a new player such as yourself. I have a total of 275 hours game time played. So far I have faced as a killer and dealt with as a killer everything from p0 to p90. You know what you do if a p100 joins your game as survivor? You sit back and you smile because odds are they are going to run the killer till he croaks while you do gens or they are going to make gens fly. So either way in that one you have a win win. If you got them as killer you still sit back and laugh because that pita chase you just got into for 5 gens is going to make you learn the safe tiles to play as a survivor and make you a better chaser as a killer. So in the end this p100 in your game is not a bad thing. Also MMR and matchmaking it doesn't exist.

Prestige doesn't mean anything sometimes. When I was with a p100 Steve (I am new too), I was like yes! I lasted longer than him. I think you need see that soloq is garbage heap. There is no matchmaking. There is not enough players, especially right now, to do it. Yeah it sucks because I don't want to play SWF and gamers are of all ages not just a certain age. There is no balance to the game in any aspect. It's pretty bad when a Roblox free game can do it better than a paid game can.

  • I play only soloq and during the week my escape rate is usually 30%, some days almost all matches, on the weekends about 20-25%. Face campers are the worst on the weekends. After the update its a slaughter though. Many DC's and suicides, I am usually the last one and can't find the hatch or they close it. The campers are just out of control. However as killer I have been rocking it and even before the update and I sucked as killer.

I am also new and have only been playing for 6 months.

That's the DBD community for you. Have a bunch of killers whining about SWF but when you're a SoloQHero their answer is "join a SWF".

Counter-intuitive. BHVR will never be able to fix this game because you can't please everyone.

I get that and I can adapt to the healing and what not (I never used dead hard). But I have noticed that all these killers have healing slowing perks and some stack them. If the devs were going to slow self healing then those are the perks they should have nerfed not the gen ones. They also are face campers and that just ticks me off. I put hackers and campers in the same category wanna be gamers. At the same time I can see certain camping in soloq because you can spot a hacker. The devs need to start identifying the hacks and pay attention more, just because it's a paid game doesn't mean they should get away with it.

  • @TonyXSplash said:

I agree. 4 man SWF is too much but a lot of times when you play duo or trio you get HORRIBLE RANDOMS that waste pallets, DC, or kill themselves on hook.

I have found those that waste pallets are trying to practice their looping skills. They do this to get the killers attention and it's usually at my expense.

  • @HugTechLover said:

How does SWF destroy solo q? Lol

I do not see a correlation at all.

What abuses occur in swf are then dealt with and carried out in soloq. So let's say COH being abused and DH the latest those were being abused in SWF because people are able to interact with each other have a coordinating runner and someone to loop and taunt the killer. This leads to a toxic gaming environment. So in turn what is bad for one group is bad bad for both groups. Even though on soloq you really can't communicate with each other and you can get paired with 3 loopers that suck at skill checks and one that's good at them. It is kind of like saying dark chocolate is bad so all chocolate is bad. I mean I really understand it and when you have people that are board they are just going to be toxic for fun in a group to ruin someone else's fun.

  • @HugTheHag said:

    I mean...

If people aren't happy with the direction the game is taking, aren't they allowed to express their opinion ?

I like DbD, it's alright, but I genuinely would not recommend it to my friends who don't play it yet. It takes way too long to get decent at it, it's discouraging going into it and it's a money sink.

If I'd left my review around this time and not a few months ago in a calm period, I would have been accused of participating in reviewbombing.

If multiple people are not happy because of a same thing, they're bound to express it roughly in the same timeframe. I don't see what's childish about that ?

You are very much correct. I just started playing as well. They advertise their game as " Play with friends or play by yourself" but it seems they are now forcing the teamwork on soloq (which I always play). Soloq is solo for a reason. It seems with each update they are gearing it more as you have to have someone you know to play this with, but how if you no one you knows plays this? This isn't how the game started and maybe people gained friends playing but those coming in don't have that advantage. It is as if they are shying away from console and making this Steam game.

  • I am a solo player and don't really have a gaming community. I am not going to put myself out there just for a game that's advertised to play as a team or as one. It is brutal in soloq. I only started in Decemberish and recently it is much, much worse. At least in COD we all had a common goal lol. This is just using cheesy tactics with the odds stacked against us. Before the update we had a 50/50 chance to get out of a match now we are lucky to get 2 gens done before we all get done. Yeah and wraith's silent bells are totally unfair. All I hear is "get good" or join an SWF.... that is not viable options and it isn't a skill issue when your camped into oblivion.

  • @DudelPuma said:

yesyes! i'm also like that in every game where pvp exists i always want to go for the win and play on it, in every game it's done that way too in dbd it's so ridiculous... if you do your objective (make gens and escape) then some noobs talk about "you're so sweaty", "that's not a competivi game" it doesn't matter what dbd is! but I want to play every round to win with others who also have this intention, but currently it's only possible in a swf, a lot is tailored to swf, like me, I play a lot of killer or swf trust me bhvr probably won't do anything for the foreseeable future who do solo q, don't get your hopes up...

play SWF-Killer or DIE in the solo q!

This is exactly it. For the casual gamer it isn't fair for gamers who are older or younger for that matter. You sold a game going in on a premises on playing as a team or on your own and now your forcing people to play as a team without the tools to play as a team in soloq. It isn't a skill level or anything like that it's lack of balance that is shed in soloq. Someone who just starts out isn't going to want to play with people they don't know in SWF they will play on soloq and probably ditch and ask for a refund lol.

  • @dkburd said:

I’ve seen it once out of 20+ matches since Wednesday. Really hope it does not start to trend. Talking players who literally slug everyone and then make them wait bleeding out.

It is constant and non stop. The only replies I have received is "get good" or " join a swf". I don't want to and that doesn't work for everyone one. The game isn't fun anymore and players are leaving in droves. This isn't a way to get people to come to play or is it a way to get people to come back. The amount of people speaking just from their own POV is astounding.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

This is the only larger PVP game I play where quickplay is the only option. There's no option for more competitive players to play with like-minded players in DbD outside of pre-made groups. It's not fun when teammates are running after the killer with a flashlight at 5 gens, going down instantly because they're trying to meme, looting chests for a tome challenge, etc. It's a bit unfair to expect a portion of the playerbase to go out of their way to make a group if they want to consistently enjoy a game mode. Beyond that, there's nothing to really play for if you're experienced and care about results. Rank 1 doesn't mean anything when you've been playing for years. There's zero sense of player skill progression as a player.

A competitive mode would obviously not be perfect. There are trolls in every game that I've ever played, and I've been playing online games for 20+ years at this point. But it would be better than what we have IMO and give players options. The common refrain is that it would split the playerbase, but you also have the potential to actually grow the playerbase by attracting players who otherwise wouldn't care about DbD. I personally never play unranked/quickplay in games. DbD is the exception for me, and it's not by choice.

You and I fall in the same category here. I have been playing for relatively the same time frame probably longer. I shouldn't have to join a SWF but I play soloq and there is no relying on teammates there. I just started this game and yes I do the Rift but the game objectives come first. I think this update highlights the broken parts of toxic generation of newer gamers relied upon that never entered a COD waiting room. All these answers are just join an SWF.

  • Not to be a smart arse it's like A Christmas Carol but in DBD every time a hook gets camped a gen gets done.... this would make those lazy killers actually seek and destroy rather than face camp. Or at least speed up gen times. If every survivor held that perk kill rates would go down and worthless killers would be forced to re evaluate how they play.

  • @Yoshirama said:

The problem is that for some people tunneling is not a strategy, is a mindset.

You can buff killers all you want and people will keep tunneling because they just want to play like that and make survivors to suffer.

So yes, tunneling is a problem that needs to be addressed, but also you need to give killers something in compensation

I don't see tunneling as an issue and I play mainly survivor soloq. I see it as a strategy and nothing more. I take issue with the face campers and gen campers.

  • @pigslittlepet said:

My main question is in solo q you have teammates who won't let go of gens? Can you send them to my solo q games please? I would be happy to stay injured if they would do gens instead of totems and chests.

That's part of the Rift. You are getting players just going through the Rift at this point because matches as survivors are pointless

  • @devotedDBDenjoyer said:

not sure if it solves it but it'd sure communicate to the team better what's happening so they do gens. however it might confuse new players even more and killers might be able to bypass it depending on the radius of the "chase" icon appearing at

It wouldn't solve it but it would hinder it. Most campers can't chase or get caught up in chasing one player. They just don't move on. This is good especially with the new forever healing. It might just deter them outside their comfort zones. This wouldn't give them kill points either.

  • @DaddyMyers_Mori said:

    That's your argument? Really?

So basically no perk, or killer can be nerfed. Because we paid for it. Only buffs, because we don't mind that of course.

No it can be nerfed or buffed just not gutted. It was intended to heal yourself and others within a radius. So make the radius smaller. The thing is in soloq I have been in matches where the killer used the boon as hunting ground. I even had one wait for me to bless it, then snuff it, knock me down, and leave me there (they continued to that until we all eventually bled out) . I understand how overused it could have been in swf I get it, but in soloq is needed. No one wants to heal you in soloq, I am trying different things but soloq has dramatically changed in 3 months and the killers are just bad. At one point teamwork was plausible now it's everyone for himself and that's the way it is because more than half the camper killers you go up against and by the time you get a decent killer your already angry.

I also feel about this with all perks killer and survivor. If they put something out there you purchase then they have to stick to the core ideals of it and not gut it. Fair is fair.

I think this goes to show they don't actually have testers to see what goes on in their games for themselves.

Due to bhvrs slow response to literally everything, not that it’s completely their fault as it probably takes a lot of work to rework maps, I would rather them just get rid of the offerings to be honest. It took them 7 years to do a quality of life change to the bloodweb lol and their reworks of almost all the maps have been failures.

I tried to save someone that got hooked in the school and kept running into one door rooms. He messaged me and asked why I didn't save him I replied "I got lost and now I have your blood on my hands!!!!" He just laughed that board needs a rework.

  • I agree or balance the maps. I get lost in the school and the meat plant. As the killer I find it confusing where the hooks are too. Lamkin Lane is like instant survivor death.

  • @Iamtheonlysalad said:

Why are killers allowed to just slug, tunnel and hookcamp? Honestly the hookcamping got a tad better with running Reassurance but the fact that I have to run it all the time is ridiculous. Why are killers just allowed to slug? Can there not be a ######### option? Or like you guys have PREVIOUSLY said have unbreakable basekit. That would help a lot with the games toxicity. We 1000% need to buff Decisive Strike. It does absolutely nothing to the killers that are toxic and just tunnel people off the bat.

I understand the tunneling because honestly it's strategic and you just have to start using windows, pallets, and looping more. The more you do it the better you get. However they do need to penalize the face campers, the gate campers, and the gen campers. I was on a board today and the killer held three gens hostage camping all three of them so the only thing to do was get killed to end the game. It was drawn out for no reason. These are reasons soloq isn't worth playing and why they are losing players in droves.

My point is that the issue that OP is saying they are having is out of spec for soloq. I don't see how one can have 30 straight games where not once was there 5 gens done and that isn't because of a skill issue. Med-kits and COH were nerfed and I've seen players who clearly crutch on those things. So to the extent that they are losing is, in my opinion, a problem with them using busted things that covered their lack of skill inflating their MMR to the point where when those things were removed they are now on a massive losing streak. Yes there is a problem with MM for soloq, but not that much.

It isn't a skill thing. Its the way the killers play. There are no decent ones left in soloq anymore. Either that or the mad main survivors switched to killers. Every match is face camp, gen camp, or knocked down and used as bait. Or my personal favorite left to bleed out because they are afraid they can't find a hook.

  • Everyone has the right to their opinion even if you don't agree with it. Just because you like the changes doesn't mean the newer part of the community does. A community means whole and that includes everyone new and old.

Trust me if something you had been eating for years and then all of a sudden it changed you would voice your opinion or complaint. Unfortunately, complaints don't go along way with BHVR so the way to do it is with reviews and prevent people to investing in them.

Honestly as the game stands right now with how killers play in soloq, no one in their right mind would buy this game and start playing and survivors are something you need bots only go so far.

Title. Don’t say “you 3 genned yourself” because that’s not always the case. Sometimes you have no choice.

Im not saying killer doesn’t deserve a chance or to win.

But survivors can’t do ANYTHING against 3 gen especially against certain killers.

Create some kind of 3 gen busting perk.

OR prevent gens from spawning together like this.

It’s not fair. It’s not fun. Simple as that. There’s nothing to do but die and forfit the match.

Christ this game is a mess.

Where we on the same board??? 😆 that happened to me

  • It's the truth if actually read the comments from the PTB feedback both killers and survivors said the healing nerfs and DH were to much and so one but they went ahead with them anyway. Right now their bulk players are Steam players. People are literally DC's and dying on hooks purposely. The game is a waste to play right now. You really can't get through a round unless you are a killer.

  • As a survivor I feel The Pig was OP especially when you need to take the trap off 4 times or everyone starts off with traps. It's time consuming. I think I have only won once with it and I was playing with a bot as a survivor and it straight up DC'd. Now my son plays as The Pig and felt she was very strong and OP he liked her and thought she was very strong. I don't think any changes were needed for her. If anything to tone the traps down.

  • All the nerfs and perk changes will never fix the core of the problem. It is the face campers, the gen campers, the computer hacks, the slash and bleeding out, etc. Once you get better control and a stricter policy in place for those then change away. I understand tunneling because let's face it, it's a strategic move that honestly eliminates a threat for the killer.

Making these changes now especially in soloq doesn't fit the bill. I never used DH and found it annoying but when you play solo and get unhooked finding someone to heal you is like your carrying the black death or you have cooties. Sometimes no one helps. It isn't very teamworky on soloq. The numbers are decreasing and they need to fix the core issues. Yeah a decent person can play both but they have let face campers reign long enough and they need to start doing something if the want to take healing away like this. With the healing changes some killers are impossible to beat. While playing today most games we spent most of the time unhooking, healing, and only getting one or 2 gens done before we all get knocked down and die. Lots of people DCing or suicide by hooks.

Let me ask you this if you were given a free trail of this game (never having played it before ever) and face camped 6 out 10 games, die almost every time, and no virtual way to heal or fight back, would actually pay money for this? But being a killer you would mop the floor and think it's really good.

Am I the only one whose first thought on seeing "I'm quitting" threads imagining that picture of Saitama from One Punch Man going "OK."?

😆 I have seen a 8000 drop on Steam player count in daily numbers. I have switched to Killer more than survivor and the wait for Killer is much much longer. So yeah I think people are switching to other games or just no playing. The I play soloq and main survivor very new to the game and still not familiar to the whole game. So yeah this is a gut punch of an update. Soloq was terrible for camping and tunneling and now bleeding out. It makes the bullying so terrible you don't want to play. For every 10 matches you get a decent killer but still get killed. So what is the point if you get killed every game and unfairly at that. Yesterday I played one match where we all worked on 3 gens at once and the killer waited until they were done of course he found me, face camped me, got unhooked, took down another player, 2 gens were done, tunneled me, knocked down, hooked, player, opened the gate and took off, then just killed everyone else on the board trying to help the the other one. I mean seriously the face camping and baiting is a problem. This is what is driving people away and the healing nerfs just made it worse.

With coordination, COH can be used to pull off very quick resets. A friend of mine was playing Huntress in RPD against a swf yesterday and their heals were so quick that I assumed one of the survivors was running heal oriented perks. The 4 man Swf escaped and it turns out all they had were a basic med kit, Botany and COH.

COH is not as “general” as it once was but it still has a place in DBD

Difference is you played in swf and not soloq. There is a huge difference in playing with comms and without. When survivors can communicate it makes it much easier.

Should be, though it is still vulnerable to haemorrhage. I'd like to see it clear that status effect on unhook, just to make sure it still functions- but even without that, it should be better now than it was prior to this patch.

Is that really different than before, though? I personally don't actually see that much tunnelling and camping (a little slugging, though), but the way people talk about it on here you'd think that happens to them every other match. This surely can't make that any worse, if what they're saying is true; and if it isn't, no reason to trust the reports of it getting worse, either.

While I have sympathy for the plight of casual players, I think even if you approach a game casually, you should be expected to engage your brain a little bit. Just pivot to another healing source, it's not like there aren't any left.

Yes within the last week it has been EVERY game as survivor. The new thing is bleeding out too. These face campers are just using you as bait to knock down survivors as they try to get you up. I play soloq only so COH was essential because there is only so many med kits you can have and no comms with other people makes it hard. Bot only that the face camping is terrible. Now since the new update dropped it has been nonstop crap. You spend more time healing then doing gens. Most matches we get 2 gens done before we all get hooked. Small boards are the worst. My husband started playing too and it wasn't as bad his first day now he got face camped every match yesterday. Towards the end though some killers were letting us go just so we can have a win. It takes forever to self heal but yes healing someone else is faster but when you unhook you are tunneled and that killer is getting two for the price of one. It is really that bad. Worst part is most survivors are ditching games too. So people are going to get frustrated and leave. I played killer yesterday and mopped the floor and I suck. People are reporting too that they are just dying on hooks their first time too because they just want out. So it's bad. The killers are now gen camping because we can't heal each other either.

I understand the abuse COH had in SWF but when you play soloq all the time you need it. I played killer against a group and it drove me nuts. If it is a problem with a certain area then they should be able to turn off the perk for a teir just like daily challenges, tomes, or rifts don't count. This update is getting trashed all over YouTube and showing how bad the camping and tunneling is. If people saw this that didn't have the game they definitely would not get it.
