I agree with most of what you say. I do think that the Devs do pay attention more to the streamers than anything. However MFT did need a nerf. Playing as killer and with the right combo yeah it needed a nerf.
However an alternative to nerfing these perks into the ground and hurting Soloq survivors would be to black out perks that you can't combine and this would be for both sides as well.
-
Mine is mostly survivor and honestly I can see why, no one wants to play survivor. It's terrible. The anti camp just made tunneling worse and of course they found a worse work around for camping so it's better to either re work it or just delete it. The game is at it's worse for survivors right now, and face it you need survivors more than killers. However I do load into a killer match and find survivors being just as bad. Hopefully next year this will be a wake up call and they will realize the mistakes they made and see maybe they shouldn't listen to OTZ as much.
-
It's the events and whatever they did to the MMR matchmaking. This is by far the worst event as far as participation and toxic game play. I have never DC'd until this event. I am so sick of being pelted with snowballs for no reason on both sides, teammates doing nothing, being matched up with people that makes no sense. I have been playing less and not even looking forward to it. Just want to collect the items and be done with it. It is mostly players that just try and get people to DC and the DEVs for not enforcing boundaries.

Snowballs are fun first or maybe second game. After that it's just annoying. Doesn't add anything gameplay-wise.
Nobody uses snoman for stealth anymore (like it was in previous events).
Snowman decoys hit by survivors very much, showing killer where someone is for free.
All in all, without any gameplay impact, all snowy things wear off pretty fast.
I would suggest add something changing, at least like it was on Halloween with alternate dimension and ghosts. But would be better add a completely new gamemode you want to taste. And if someone doesn't want to play it, just add it exactly as new gamemode (e.g. separate menu button or a switch on killer/survivor screen)
I agree. The snowballs brought out the most toxic players. They were soooo annoying after your second game. It's bad enough you have a looper constantly sliding over a pallet now they are pelting you with snowballs, even if your having a chill game they are being a dick with them.
I always love the special events, but this one I just played less. There was no special incentives like envelopes or anything like that to make it worth while playing through the heaps of toxic players that come for just the events. I also felt the placement of the snowpiles were blocking my pathways as both killer and survivor.
The reason no one used the snowmen is because those who played both sides (which you had to in order to collect everything) knew that certain snowmen alerted the killer to your whereabouts, so that essentially defeats the purpose of the snowmen in general.
The other downside there was an enormous amount of players on the survivor side that did absolutely nothing in the game or hopped on a gen in the last 5 seconds to complete the challenge and go hide the rest of the game. A ton of dead weight this event, more than usual. It was surprising because killers would even message saying they say 2 or 3 players not doing anything and me doing all the gens. Then on the other side you will have killers hardcore tunnel from the start of the game.
-
Cheating is ramped up on both sides. I just had a survivor unhook themselves on second phase.

I never quit Age of Empires match, never quit Call of Duty match. Never DC in other XX games I play online.
We say the "fish stinks from the head".
There are tons of problems in this game giving people reason to DC. There is no PING latency filtering. Anticamp mechanic (after 7 years is JOKE). Hitboxes, collisions boxes. 50cm survivor can block all others on 180cm wide stairs. Why the people are still surprised that someone want to quit toxic match?
Totally agree. Never quit a game ever no matter how bad it was until recently. This is the worst it has been and I was in one game where a Ghostface was able to still camp in a spot in the basement or above it everyone DC'd. It was pathetic of the killer really. I am so sick of every game with every killer just proxy camping this anti camping garbage and waiting for you to get off so tunnel you right out. Why would anyone want to play survivor unless they want to play in a toxic SWF against a killer. Not only that you are having team mates not doing a single thing.
-
The most important question is how did you obtain that kill rate? If you are not patrolling and just hanging around a hook focusing on one player while they run you of course your kill rate will go down. Assuming you are playing against SWFs. However I have played in some seal team 6 soloq where we had it very well organized with no coms we just knew what to do.
I do agree though the new MMR is way off though.
-
Could be why there is always a survivor bonus anymore. Seems to be a dev problem..... they need to fix it or people will not play.

there’s some games where I do like 3 or 4 gens by myself
It’s getting ridiculous at this point
Me too then at 4th Gen I get hooked and die on first hook. I am DCing anymore because this camping and tunneling out BS is out of hand already. I am just going to buy Dead Island 2 and start playing that instead.
BHVR has two options stop giving updates on what what nerfs or updates to killers, perks, or survivors they intend to do. This will eliminate toxic behavior and toddler mentality.
Other option separate players by age groups. Let the crotch gobblins play amongst themselves since they can't play well with others.
-
Soloq is dreadful. I have lost EVERY match, maybe win a few. I play with one other person but mostly 3 random. I get left on a hook, I am the only one doing gens, or I will be doing everything on my own. And these killers are straight up hardcore tunneling as if their lives depended on it. Slugging at 5 gens, tunneling from the start waiting until gens pop not patrolling. It's terrible. Then I play killer which I don't very often and get matched with seal team 6. Matchmaking is definitely off big time. Even on my switch which I have about 1 hour total as killer I am getting matched with 56 Prestige, that's insane.
-
Maybe don't play terrible and you won't get slugged
-
I started playing last year during this event, but the Chinese New year event we got a lot of stuff. I liked that one.
-
So far I have tunneled out at 5 gens or encounter 3 games with someone working with the killer. It gets worse every event. They come out of the woodwork for the cosmetics and that's it. There is no matchmaking correctly either. Since BHVR puts a lot of work into these events and the rifts I think they actually have players put in time for the previous Rift before being able to do the event, it would reduce the amount of junk players.
-
They need to really redo the point system. This is what will solve it. I play with one other person so we have either two randoms or a two SWF. The other night the one player ran the killer the entire game and escaped. They did not touch a gen did not heal anyone, did not rescue anyone just ran them and got hooked twice, they ended up with double the amount of points than everyone else who did ALL the gens. THE GENS ARE LITERALLY THE OBJECTIVE. I mean the PIP system is garbage too.

So many reasons.
1: Presumption that survivors don't complain about the uber gen rush builds.
2: Survivors would generally love more to do. Buff boons and chests and survivors would be happy to do them.
3: Rushing gens can still result in a nasty 3 gen which means the killer has a chance. A hard tunnel on the killer side means the survivors have no chance but the game isn't that close to being finished.
4: A hard tunnel usually involves a proxy camp, which results in a guessing game. If the killer proxy camps the first hook and the survivors ignore it, survivors hefty advantage. If they rush in for the rescue thinking the killer left, killer advantage.
5: From day 1 survivors are likely to encounter tunneling killers. Survivors who can uber gen rush are rare and many players might never encounter them.
6: Doing a gen doesn't weaken the killer in any way. I've seen plenty of games where killers (sometimes me as killer, sometimes as survivor) comes back from just 1 gen remaining. It's not even that rare for the killer to turn games around. I can think of very few games where I've seen the survivors manage anything like that after a early tunnel.
7: It's a result of the healing nerf. When the healing nerfs where being discussed many survivors said 'this means I'll just stay injured on gens'. I'm generalizing here, but killers got what they wanted and things are playing out exactly as many people predicted.
8: While the survivors rushing through gens put the killer at a disadvantage, the killer still gets to play the game, just at a disadvantage. A hard tunneled survivor gets little gameplay and very little BP.
9: Unlike survivors, killers do have other strategies. Killers can spread pressure and there are perks to encourage not just going after one survivor. Survivors should do gens, rescue each other, and heal. Pretty much anything else is a waste of time.
10: Picking off the weakest link is annoying gameplay, especially in soloq. In soloq a survivor has no control over their teammates, watching one get downed, hooked, rescued, and immediately downed again means the game is lost, and some of the survivors might never even have engaged with the killer at that point.
11: The counter to tunneling is to gen rush. Killers say they tunnel because of the speed of gens, but if the survivor know the killer is tunneling the strategy is to just leave the survivor on the hook (w/ reassurance if they have it).
12: Survivors strategy is not actually to 'tunnel' gen if you are trying to carry over that term, the most effective strategy is to spread out and do as many gens as possible. 3 survivors tunneling a gen is a really bad idea outside of limited circumstances, which would be comparable to the killer strategy of tunneling a survivor. Even in a situation where there are 3 gens left and 4 survivors, the survivors should split up on either end of the 3 gens.
Everything is correct except the devs revert all healing back to original except Boon of Healing. This was done quietly and I think 4 or 5 updates ago.
The only time I am "gen tunneled" is when zlI am concentrated on a daily challenge and lose what I am doing. Mainly the Gunslinger and bird lady. Other than that patrolling is the main thing. I have killers hardcore tunnel and slug at 5 or 4 gens and they blame me for not running gen rushing perks, really though why is it my fault I didn't play the game the way you wanted it to go? I really question the mentality of what's left of the player base at times and a long break is maybe what is needed.
-
People still use them and babysit them like no tomorrow. This is where you have the great divide. Maybe not in the higher MMR but in a lower or even mid level they will use them and camp or trap them.
-
I don't know. I do think his perks are extremely wicked combined with others and should be considered nerfed. I am really just disliking the people that are playing him. He basically broke the anti camp which opened the floodgates for more players to play around with it.
I just really dislike playing against him so much so I have steered clear of the game.
-
Honestly I don't see that many. I personally think it's those killer mains that don't patrol and waste to much time waiting for a gen to pop to go in that direction. By that time three gens fly by and they finally find a survivor and either they get looped or proxy camp. Or they spend too much time in chase on one survivor and don't drop it. You can always tell a squad and they are rare but they do exist. Most killers in the high MMR that actually do play know how to counter them. Soloq is their biggest thing and they need to focus on that. I play mostly soloq or with one friend and sometimes you get seal team 6 other times you get plain seals.
-
I don't know but I will say this. I logged onto my switch first time playing no hours logged no skills I think just enough BP for 4 perk slots because of codes and I was paired with a 56, 72, and 2 Prestige levels. Of course it was Chucky and I was tunneled right out because my first time playing on a new system and all but I would say either laxed or disabled. It makes no sense.

@Lemonwolf said:
Just recorded several matches playing as Chucky. It was a disaster. People who know what they are doing know where you are even when you are undetectable. I play with an aura reading build, and it was very obvious people knew. Also, during chases, mindgames were impossible. Only one 4k, several 1k, a few 0k and a 3k. I might edit it together and present this absolute farce and proof that Chucky is anything but OP. Oh, i got lots and lots of disrespect, tbags behind pallets, clicky with the flashlights, gesturing, all of these combined in the exit gates. It was fun!!! Cannot wait to present this labor of love thrown at me by the survivors.
You said it right there the thing is you were playing SWF's which it's widely proven soloq is more dominant. When I first stated I think Chucky is probably good for those higher tier players or well coordinated 4 person SWF's but not in soloq or 2/3 SWF's. Take SWF'S out of the equation and you really have an killer that needs a nerf. Most killers camp the hook even with anti camping it's making a comeback. Just because you play in a higher tier doesn't mean everyone else is. Survivors that just started playing within the last couple years are still stuck here and keep getting knocked down because of camping and tunneling out and the bowels of soloq.
The true problem is 4 person SWF bully squads and that's something they should not design a killer around, and that's what they did here, because let's face if you break all of his perks and basekit down that's exactly who he targets.

Killers have been forced to play the way you are complaining about because survivors have been the power role for the majority of the games life, and complain when they can't torture killers.
No it's a choice. You don't need to at 5 gens. You don't know how survivors play before they start playing. Not every 4 person is a squad. Some people play that way yes I will agree with you survivors are not innocent, but it doesn't mean every one is.

The thing is… camping and tunneling is an issue with the game that needs to be addressed. It’s not just a Chucky issue. I had a few Blights and Weskers do this yesterday.
It absolutely is and Chucky's perk makes it worse because it exposes you.

I agree with some of your points. However, if the majority of killer player do camp or slug it must be for a reason. And it's most likely not the reason to troll. Both sides are trying to accomplish their objective. As i understand it, the most efficient way to try to accomplish the objective as a killer is to get one person out of the game as fast as possible. Gens fly pretty fast and there are survivor perks that are uncounterable, like Buckle Up+For the People. Especially funny if several people have this combo in one lobby. Camping and slugging (unbreakable) is the inevitable response to these meta perks. I try to avoid the camping and slugging strat, but what i get for that are flying gens, mentioned perks above plus other stuff like resilience, deja vu, body blocks and pretty much anything that causes endurance and of course lots of t-bags and disrespect. Many survivors play the game like their own lives depend on getting out of the trial and they always have one last crutch perk up their sleeves. When playing "fair" its a real struggle to get 1-2 kills with Chucky. Well i digress. As i mentioned above, the killer is mediocre at best. Give him 115% movement speed and things would be much better. And again i am talking about playing Chucky "as is" not using any exploits or weird strats. The baseline sort of speak. Which is what he should be balanced around. Exploits should not be in the equation, they should be removed from the game.
In all honesty and due respect how would know someone has any gen rushing perks or buckle up+ for the people at 5 gens? That is literally what is happening. People are slugging and camping at 4-5 gens with Chucky and every other one.

Chucky is mediocre at best.
But it won't matter. Too many survivor mains complained already, so he will be nerfed, making him completely unviable like many killers before.
The things posted in this thread. Claim of Chucky being better than Blight. It is beyond ridiculous.
People complaining about the scamper ability......really? Just w shift away, he is is only a 110% movement speed killer. Looping with him takes like forever because he's so slow. You can still hear him while in stealth mode because he has a tendency to cackle.
Using S&D is very tricky. The video posted is invalid evidence. We are talking about him being played as he should be, not while using xyz exploit or whatever. I certainly don't play him like that, i don't even want to know how these exploits work because...well they are exploits!
People claiming he can traverse half across the map using his ability once....Really? In what universe? Certainly not this one.
His S&D hitbox is terrible. Often enough i ran into survivors and nothing happened!
Survivors who know what they are doing, especially SWFs will use you as a toy, literally.
I mean seriously. People complaining about his stealth being too OP, him allegedly being too fast, even though he has 110% movement speed and a 32m terror radius!! What is wrong with you? Ever played against wraith? Wraith is better in many aspects.
Most of this feedback thread is nothing but a farce. People coming in claiming the game is balanced towards killers and that soon there wont be survivors left willing to play the game....right...that's a good one.
Survivors complaining how "unfair" his undetectable is and he's "not fun" to play against. The Hex is unfun and unfair (in my matches the hex goes poof before it has any value, just saying) All his perks are so unfair.....we demand a killer to entertain us, we demand escapes. Whine, whine, whine...... And most of the whiney posts even get votes.
Sadly, BHVR listens to these whiney posts. Chucky will be nerfed for sure because of the excessive whining. That i am 100% sure of.
Just because you play one way doesn't mean the majority are playing the way it's intended to be played. I agree with you too. I have went up against 2 Chucky's that didn't use any crappy tactics and played a fair game, however the 100 or so other did not. They camp and face camping has returned regardless of the anti camp. Slash n dash allows Chucky to proxy camp and take out whoever goes and saves the hooked survivor and one is usually exposed. Games are ending at 4 gens. If that doesn't get you they are adding NOED. Not only that scamper does not have a cool down or stun.
Don't blame the survivor mains here blame the killer main base that have abused the camping, proxy camping, and tunneling for years. Chucky is the perfect killer for it so they are the ones to blame for the nerfs, not the crying survivor mains. It's been 100% bonus on survivor since he came out, maybe because no one wants to play against him anymore.

So many of our players thoughts that GGuy is too overpowered.
What i think for a few days after release is:
He needs an ability change in many ways.(Recharge time decrease, Hitbox in S&D, Addons that are almost BAD)
People dont want to learn how outplaying him.(And staying afk to the whole game)
Even nerf's didnt do a lot.
Solution for this is one: Back to the ptb and decrease his S&D hitbox size.
Then u see how he is balanced.
What are the downsides to our much-loved killer?
- Now, this is 4.4 killer with 32 meter terror radius, without ability in the early game, with 18 sec to recharge cooldown and 16-15,8 sec with addons.
- Do U used dash?Wait while longer cooldown is over. Without anything to do.
- Do Survivior hold W? So guess when he stops to stun u. Or outrun whole map!
- With 32 meter t.r. u cant go stealthy, cuz in the early game surviviors can hear it and start hiding, or run.
- If u do a scamper, without any fakes, u just loose distance u can get. (Only "scamper" good at god pallets and windows, cuz u dropped, u die. Any other loop useful than this against chucky)
- Addons are bad, so many useless without any help in chase, exept a few.
What are the advantages of our much-loved killer?
- low growth, which allows you to outplay survivors.
- good chase, thanks to S&D.
- Average stealth, which will take a long time to wait its cooldown.
- You can put a survivor into a dying state for one ability if he tries to mindgame you.
- Low cooldown after a miss S&D, which alows u to get some distance in chase.
Thats all!
So this is not such an unbalanced killer)
So theres solution to balance his basekit in a good way.
Ability recharge time are now decrased to 14 seconds.
If u hit a survivior with S&D cooldown takes + 1sec to its cooldown/
If u hit a survivior by basic attack without a hidey-ho, your ability recharges faster.
S&D no longer turn into scamper on pallets and windows.
Addons are reworked or changed in a way to chase survivors faster without ability.
There's no need to nerf it even further, cuz in that case he will be just 4.4 killer with somehow sometimes working ability without any other chances to win the math of that game.
In a perfect world this is how he is meant to be played. This not how the base killers play him. The camp the blue line of the hook or skate in and out and use slash and dash to take out everyone on 5-4 gen.
However I agree for those that have actually played him without the cheesy ways he is counterable but sadly most won't play that way and it's unfortunate because he will get nerfed because of crappy players. Although there are perk combos that can make you completely undetectable throughout the game which is unfair and needs to be looked at.
A good nerf though would be similar to the nurse's blink needs to happen with slash and dash or scamper. I have been hit twice with scamper after stunning them with a pallet. The hex is way to OP as well, it takes away all survivors defenses too.
-
@Zokenay said:
So based on matches as him and against him, i think Scamper is the one big issue with the killer, more specifically the fact that he can use it repetitively with no drawbacks at all.
I dont think making it slower would fix it without making it useless, but the one thing that comes to mind is that using scamper should drain his power, like using an M1 does.
Another thing i noticed is that he seems immune to stuns in the middle of his charge attack animation, which yeah, needs to be fixed.
The last thing is that pallets hit him from FAR away, i guess he has the same hit detection as other killers, but it makes it really rough to know when youre safe from a stun or not, cause you have to be surprisingly far
yes! I thought it was me. Because I stunned him twice. Once in a pallet save and once in the hex and both times he used scamper to get a hit on me. Basically rendering pallets useless. There was no stun with either and I was downed with the hex but only hit with the save. Still it proves either he has a bug or he is way OP and there are some serious flaws.
-
It's a double edge sword. You have two POVs here. You have your fog whispers and you have your actual community. I have noticed they listen heavily on their killer main long time fog whispers but fail to see that their actual community isn't in that top tier as them and they end up silently back tracking on some things they did (medkit and healing speeds). Some things maybe better if they did a different approach rather than keeping it the same. We are not going to get a different game mode. You also have one game with a set of a variety of players. There are different ways to approach it instead of nerfing perks and what not. Also when they release one update they underestimate what other issues can spring about and then that becomes a priority. For instance after the healing nerfs every killer ran sloppy and franklins; some took Franklin's off but Sloppy has increased and hence that is coming for a tweak.
-
The last week has been dreadful. I have noticed that. Teammates not doing anything or just straight tunneling at 5 gens. I have never used an offering other than for points but started to use the shrouds to start away from the killer. Each day I play less and less. It is super boring and repetitive. The chucky players are just terrible too. It's so bad my daughter stopped playing two months ago altogether.
-
If I see a survivor in a locker not doing anything to preserve themselves for the win. This snitch will gladly go to the ditch. I keep an eye on what everyone is doing and if you didn't do anything your getting ratted out.

I saw someone else say Distortion doesn't affect the aura. Can anyone confirm that it does?
Distortion only works for a certain time frame and wouldn't really be effective. I also think it's a token up perk. Boon Shadow step would work but you run into everything needs a totem now. It's funny because the killer has all these aura reading perks but you can have one but the person next to you doesn't and your immediately outed. I ran Distortion for a bit it really doesn't help. Calm spirit has worked after Alien's perk but this one is a double whammy and there really isn't anything to counter that. Chucky's perk will get nerfed because they are figuring out complete silent games without terror radius' and I am pretty sure the Devs didn't think that was a possibility.

Yeah, this concept shouldn't be very Alien to us anymore.
Lol. They only tell a fraction of the nerfs. Remember when the tail went across the board??? Yeah me too or it's that the Mandela effect? I still have fun with Alien though.
-
I haven't noticed anyone DC even being tunneled out and that seems to be mostly what they are doing. I have started to see other killers use combos that make them completely undetectable with Friends til the end and that is where I am seeing DCs and hookicides.
-
Ok so I went up against of course a TTV and they ran friends til the end, nemesis, furtive chase, and alien instinct. This made them undetectable throughout the ENTIRE game. How is that fair????? Do you guys even know your own perks? I think I will play something else until you sort this mess out. At least with Alien you could counter but you can't counter a completely undetected killer.
Before you say "skill issue" I had my camera looking around and it was to late to react.
-
It's an increasing trend and I have been having more games like this. It used to be very few and far between but now its daily. They will be friendly even pull the gate and then go for the 4K. Or hit the gen down a survivor allow the heals, etc, then just hang everyone, I have even had them go AFK the entire match then have all end game perks. It is no fun. I just steer clear and leave at the opposite gate. Then some wonder why survivors don't engage in "friendly" matches anymore.

Maybe they are trying to get away from that. I try to place my traps like I do with the Trapper unless you get those flashy mcflashies.

After playing against him games can turn south really fast. There will be an incredibly high kill rate with him in his current state and that's why killers find him really fun.
He is a stronger, more powerful blight. He's small so he's hard to see, especially through thick vegetation and his red stain sometimes also completely disappears when he is running through grass. His ability to vault over pallets make pallets all but useless, his ability to vault over windows incredibly fast also make it impossible to extend a chase more than 20 seconds. It's a little difficult to blind him inside dark buildings at pallets.. These two things are the core fundamentals of DBD (vaults and pallets) and giving such high base speed on both doesn't make sense. I do think that he can be somewhat of a tricky killer to use but from all the games I've seen not one killer has been in a chase longer than 30 seconds.
He is a new killer yes but I currently do not see any counter play except distance unless he slugs.
I see where your coming from with the Blight comment, it's the slash and dash that gets you. The Hex perk where the survivor gets stunned and blinded is awful because it's literally a survivors only defense against the killer. I see how it's supposed to stop the spamming of the flashlight just add a cool down to the flashlight not a hex totem. Your killing all the totem perks. The perk that makes his stain go away is an unfair disadvantage and that with batteries not included can make a game go down quickly. As I said you take your feedback from killer mains they like him because they are getting 3 (with that one getting the hatch) and 4ks because it's super easy with him. He's probably a really good high their killer but seriously what were you thinking devs?

Chucky is just broken and I've yet to see a game where the gates where powered up. In like 20 games he always gets 3x pr 4x kills and the best I saw was 4 gens... but hey, they TESTED it. I hope Behaviour is making big money to ruin the game like this
I played only three games today because it was that bad. I couldn't do anything. I mean prior to this at least I could get some gens done before being tunneled out but this is ridiculous. People will buy just because it's Chucky but no one will play survivor.
-
You can add whoever you want to the game but until you address core problems such has hardcore tunneling, camping, perk abuse stacking (both sides), matchmaking, etc the gameplay will never change. I logged on to my switch account never played a game ever on there and was matched up with a Prestige 56 and 75 of course Chucky wiped the floor because he just camped the gens. Console players always have it dodger than PC and it shows.
-
This all of this. It is a team game most don't play that way. But there are killers that don't play very well either. They will tunnel you out hardcore or just be terrible at it. Both sides are bad but entitled. They both feel as of they need to win. I don't mind losing if I get outplayed but if it's by cheesy tactics then I feel the players have no skill.
-
I have a 2 person SWF and that's how I play most of the time. Sometimes when I play solo I get seals other times it's seal team six. There is no MMR system it's just players who know how to play as a team and those who don't. I have gone up against a sweat squad as a killer but those are very few and far between. Thing is when you're playing killer identify the one who is the runner or who wants to be the runner because they more than likely can't do gens and will run you the game if you let them. That's the most common mistake I see on 80% of these killers.
-
I too have reduced my hours because the game play is just not fun anymore and like was said the devs seem they don't care. Tunneling is just about every game and survivors spend more time in lockers or doing the bare minimum just so they can escape. More killers are weaving in between the anti camp line. The game has no chase anymore and your constantly losing progress as survivor. Being killer is way to easy or you end up with a gen rushing squad, which whatever you can't win them all. People on Facebook have openly admitted to using subtle hacks and not gotten caught and it would be so simple for the Devs to put simple codes to stop them but they would rather put out new cosmetics instead.
For instance 3 days in a row 2 hours of play didn't win once and was tunneled out each game. There is no fun in that. Not a skill issue either these killers all stand at the edge of that little line and tunnel every single person out.

I don't understand why it would be up to sony/microsoft to have cross progression.
Is it a part of their contract with Behaviour?
If it's a technical problem to have progress simultaneously over two systems, I wouldn't mind if there'd be a one time "progress transfer" option, where I could entirely transfer all my progress over to PC (and not have it available on my console anymore)
It's a money issue. Why Microsoft won't do cross progression between Xbox and themselves is beyond me. But look at Sony POV; you pay to play yearly plus buy whatever through their store and they get a cut, you then transfer you progress to another platform they lose out on that money no matter of it's a dime it adds up. More people are switching to PC because it's free.

While it's a good suggestion I don't give them the satisfaction I walk around the board finding pallets I didn't break lol. They want to teabag let them find me and risk the hook.

It is an issue that needs to be addressed
The just get good and skill issue crowd are those play only in an SWF, rage quit if they are hung first, can't do gens and loop, are the killers that do the camping and tunneling at 5 gens.

i just feel like all of the fun aspects of survivor are being taken away whilst killers get all these buffs (which would be great if i enjoyed playing killer) but i don’t, and survivor just feels like a chore now :((
I honestly feel this. Being a long time gamer yes playing killer is totally easy and with everything is basically handed to the killers. There are some drawbacks to it as in some SWF's know how to combine the perks or annoy with flashlights but you can counter. The thing with this community mindset is that the killers feel they need to win every time and they heavily base everything off of streaming. A lot of matches are screwing around. I find survivor much more challenging especially soloq. Everything is hard in soloq, but if you have a at least a 3 person swf it is easier and most don't have that. Then again some killer behaviors have gone on for so long that when they don't get their way they throw tantrums and quit.

I agree with OP. There are flaws. I think this was to prevent the basement camps but there have been plenty of games were the killers lurked in the corners and were able to camp. Otherwise the former face campers just weave in and out and it has made tunneling easier for them.
This was supposed to make the killers patrol more and it hasn't per the interview and it hasn't. It either needs to be deleted to tweeked.

Wow, that's a bold move coming from Sony considering XBOX just announced free online play. Now you only have to pay for gamepass for the XBOX and Switch is only 35 for the year for a family plan. I also agree that you shouldn't have to pay for online gaming since it's so mainstream now. It is kind of like texting, when it first came out you literally paid per character, now it's unlimited and has basically replaced the landline. If you honestly think about DBD won't be the only game affected my it.

A lot of condescending replies here, not gonna lie.
There is no "at this number of finished generator tunneling is okay".
Tunneling is a big problem overall that needs to be adressed ASAP. Period.
If we seriously defend tunneling as a legit and fun playstyle, we shoud just stop discussion at all.
I agree. The point is to get new people to pay the game and spend money on it. Now when you start playing a game and are essentially losing most games to tunneling, proxy camping, or potato teammates you're not going to invest or even refund.
Anti camp was supposed to promote patrolling of gens. All it did was encourage a clear line of proxy camping and easier tunneling.
Now they want to shrink some of the larger boards but they need to get the tunneling under control first.
With that being sad most killers are giving up way to easy anymore. I have had more killers quit lately because they can't camp or just outplayed. Yeah, survivors can be a pain and there are some SWF's out there that are toxic but they aren't all like that. I have noticed an increase in spamming flashlights but if you weren't camping all the time you would know how to evade them.
Killers are going into a game thinking every team in an SWF but that isn't true and most survivor is thinking they are a camper or toxic killer. That attitude needs to change and the DEVs need to change some core mechanics before buffing or nerfing anything else.

I think the whole thing needs to be scrapped. It's useless and there are plenty of holes in it. Killers still camp while survivors are trying to get you off the hook and your meter is stopped, while you go into second phase or even just die. It's easier to tunnel out a player if the killer proxy camps the hook as by time your safe time is up your hit again. It has encourages more terrible behavior and is not encouraging the patrolling that it was designed to do. Not only that killers are just leaving slugged players at hooks to stop the timer. It was better without it or they need to buff it so the hook teleports to another place.
