Yeah, unfortunately killer is the least fun/most stressful role in the game. Thats just how it is.
When it boils down to its 4 on 1, 4 loadouts against your single loadout and theres like, a 95% chance that you're power isnt that great either, especially for a new player coming back.
My advice? Run an anti loop killer and a meta build for every match you play, because from here on out thats what the survivors are gonna do. Do NOT try to be creative with your builds. Do NOT try to have fun, because you won't.
Edit: Forgot, in case you don't know which killers are anti-loop, Nurse, Deathslinger, Nemesis, and Huntress all have decent anti loop.
Executioner, Demogorgon, Pig, and Trickster can be utilized for Anti Loop as well, but its much more difficult to pull off.
-
There are lots of killers that are underrated.
1: Oni. He has a fantastic kit, a fantastic story, and a well integrated aesthetic.
2: Billy. Most people let his rework blind them to how good he still is, and with the addition of his tome entries, he's become very sympathetic. Poor guy.
3: Pig. A lot of players avoid using this killer because her power is almost worthless without purple addons (you know the ones) and her Iridescents are garbo, but she's still decently strong.
-
Got your explaination right here...
-
Yeah. I know the game is originally intended for pc, but if you're gonna port something to console and take console players' money, then you have an obligation to optimize your game for said consoles. Pc shouldn't take priority like it seems to.

The baby doll in Sid's room from Toy Story.

Ah yes, because Leatherface always came with an ear-pounding heartbeat that followed him everywhere he went, Meyers was always completely nonlethal until he got at least two hooks or stared at laurie long enough while carrying a tombstone, and OH how could I have forgotten about that time that Amanda Young, a.k.a the Pig, TOTALLY used the hidden wrist blade that was used only by Jigsaw himself and only that one time in the first movie...
Short answer? They needed to make the killer functional throughout the whole match, not just if the survivor decided to solve the cube.
-
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Im sure they're really busy with the ptb

People act like they hate sbmm but my matches were all better with it on. Hopefully it stays.

No you won't. Your owned content is credited to your Playstation account, and not your device. Ps5 uses the same account as ps4. You're fine.
-
No, you are not.
-
A dc counts as a kill. So you got a 3k. Any survivor who escapes through hatch was GIVEN their 'Escaped' status, and it wasn't earned.
Dcing should never be a valid tactic, of this I can agree. Still, two dead, one dced, that match was a success for you.
-
The aren't removing the Demogorgon, Nancy, or Papi Steve from the game, just the store. All three will continue to exist as "The Demogorgon" "Nancy Wheeler" and "Steve Harrington". They will retain their faces and cosmetics (as long as you own them already.)
They will just become exclusive characters. Demo isn't going anywhere, literally.
New players are just gonna see him in game and wonder why somebody hacked Stranger Things into Dead by Daylight.
-
We must stand in solidarity with demomuffin. Everyone play demo! EVERYONE #DeadByDemodoggo

I never see this perk in action while playing Killer.

Oh yeah? Who?

I think one or two might've escaped the pig was just tunnelling the entire match lol.
About what I expected. I can't imagine she was getting much done if she had time to do that.

Back when there was a daily to get a head pop with the trap I was guilty of stealthing around and following a survivor til they died so I know just how cheeky you can be with those traps.
I've never been a fan of them as survivor though. I feel like every time a pig downs me and puts a trap on my head and it takes more than 3 boxes to take off someone else on my team has gone down and a generator has popped. Just too much is out of the survivor's hands, especially if you enter another chase and get downed again. Playing as the pig I don't feel like I notice an effect until someone dies from it.
I get it. The jigsaw franchise revolves around these sorts of traps, but can't say I like them. Pig is just an awkward killer. Normal M1 game, an ambush attack that has a loud scream accompany it, and her RNG traps. Her stealth game is...okay I guess, I've been snuck up on but that's not really something to brag about considering how oblivious I can be at times. (A few days ago I walked directly into a Dark Devotion Plague player.)
Nerf the pig, etc. Pig clearly had a better gamer chair.
This is an interesting take. As a Pig main, when I put traps on survivor's heads, they usually manage to get it off on the first try. If I'm not using Tampered Timer, they always get it off without exception, and usually before the trap is even activated.
BUT as a survivor it takes me four boxes minimum almost every time. Its funny how different the perception is between both roles.
I wouldn't say nerf Pig, but I'd definitely say rework her.
@WhyDoiGetFacecamped said:
I just had a pig block me in a corner while stealth so my timer would deplete. It's pretty disgusting how that passes, I know there's no way to work around that but seriously?
Is that exploiting her abilities or did I get severely outplayed and should uninstall.
As for you, all I can say is... "That's rough, Buddy." I'm a pig main, and I didn't even know it worked like that. Then again, I don't make a habit of following trapped survivors, especially in stealth. If you don't mind me asking, how did the rest of your team fare?
-
Yeah if you switch tabs then switch back again youll see it.

I never get this argument.
Freddy and Pyramid Head are great examples of licensed killers that were not limited by their source abilities.
if it’s ‚copy Paste‘ Killer, we just had Trickster, who is argued to be a worse Huntress (Deathslinger was as well) and Blight also was talked down as a Lehion 2.0.
Michael Myers on the other hand, when first introduced, was pretty dann unique. I would also argue Demogorgon is pretty unique (and not really copied from the source material) while Victor is kinda a copy of Demo.
Well, of course there are exceptions to everything. Freddy did... pretty much what he did in the movies, putting people to sleep and attacking him there. In fact it used to be hw couldn't even attack people who weren't in the dream world before his rework, so that was unique to him. (Kinda miss it)
Myers was unique yes..... until Ghostie came out and found a way to do the same thing better. Executioner.... WAS unique until Nemesis.
Something important about the horror genre for people to remember is that originality is very scarce from one ip to the other. Theres a lot of subtle copycats in a lot of these movies we consider classics, with very few breaking the mold so repetition is to be expected.
The point is, Behavior has better chances of firing off a Killer with a unique power/gameplay style with an unliscenced character.
Hope that helps you get this argument.

mhnnn.... Glenvale for example, is a desert so that might be out. a flooded RCPD would be... would it be better or worse? Hawkins wouldn't change much, come to think of it.
You couldnt really flood multilevel areas without submerging the whole map, because with rpd you'd be missing out on three whole levels. You know, unless the laws of water distribution no longer apply in the Entity's realm.
-
I can see a nautical themed killer working. For example, Im a fan of the Fog. But it might be difficult to go full underwater with it. Maybe if you flooded every stage to like, waist level.

If you save the video it literally says "dbd_hellraiser_teaser_final_with_sound" That's basically the confirmation. As well as the 1987 in the top right being the year the first movie came out.
Ah, thanks.
-
I am kinda disappointed, though not for the reason you think. I didn't exactly want Hellraiser, FNAF, or Candyman. I was kinda hoping for an unliscenced chapter again, just because liscenced characters are limited by their canonical abilities. This means we can even see repeats of old powers with very minute twists.
For example, the Shape and the Ghostface both stalk to expose survivors. Leatherface is a different breed of Hillbilly, because Billy was based on Leatherface to begin with. Nemesis has a loop-ignoring beam attack just like Executioner.
If it really is Hellraiser, lets hope they come up with something original for their powers.
-
I've noticed a lot of Leatherface's do this too. Anyone figured out why yet?
-
I have a question. I've never seen Hellraiser, so what significance does the vhs tv hold that confirms it?
I get more Ring vibes from it, personally.

To answer your first question, two of the best perks on Trapper are BBQ and STBFL. Along with those two perks, many people prefer to run a slowdown perk or two like Ruin, Corrupt, or Pop. Bag addons can make life easier when you play Trapper as well as addons that improve setting speed. As for the best tactics for his traps, placing traps within common routes that survivors take when they loop is very effective because most survivors don't think to check an entire loop for traps. Place traps in tall grass and not out in the open to avoid them from getting spotted so easily.
For your second question, try prestiging Hillbilly next. Many players have abandoned Hillbilly due to his changes which is a huge shame. I still feel like Hillbilly is still an enjoyable killer to play as if you have the patience.
Yeah I agree, Billy is still fun and good. Thanks for the build too Ill try it.

'Stop cyrptic teaser, brain hurty.'
They can tease however they want. Kinda a weird thing to complain about, imo.

How about all 5 gens or one survivor left
No, because that still makes it so that more than one person can use a key to escape hatch.
-
Ps5 is much better than ps4.
-
There's only two ways to fix keys. Remove them from the game completely, or make it so hatch no longer spawns until only one survivor is left, no exceptions.

Crooked was his internal name used during prototyping and development of his character (the Hag was the Witch, Huntress was the Bear, Trapper was Chuckles).
He was never called the Crooked in the live game.

Yeah console lag bug us back after the recent patch. Im sick of it.
-
They're looking for player feedback based on the gameplay only. By hiding ranks, players can't latch on to the frequency of specific rank emblems i.e "I keep getting a red rank in my lobby even though I'm green rank", and ar forced to give honest feedback based solely on match experience.
Thats my guess anyway.
-
I love using Lightborn to bait flashlighters into a free hit.
-
Make legion's frenzy fast again, disable survivor's ability to take off RBTs before they're active, revert Clown to his original state, make Nemesis whip hit multiple survivors and make Executioner thicc again, thank you.

This would mean splitting the community and there's potential one side is played more than the other leading to longer queues. Also a casual mode is a horrible idea there's people who want to play the game and not meme and goof around which casual would be. Lastly there's a way to make a matchmaking system which allows for good players to progress and keeps them away from lower ranks without MMR being it.
Choosing to play sweaty or meme around shouldn't be the only two options offered and by your suggestion those are the only two options there.
You're awful presumptuous. I see a possible casual mode as a middle ground, not a playground. Sweaty players would likely stay in Ranked for increased rewards and to maintain their ranks, while people who would want to play for fun -while still playing, mind you- could stick to casual.
As it stands, the community is split between the lol get gud crowd and the why cant I have fun crowd. Currently the latter has to suffer at the hands of the former, and to force that to continue simply to have shorter wait times is just selfish.
-
I'm enjoying it. Now all they need to do is create a casual mode. For those of us who aren't in it to win, and just want to have fun.

Deep Wounds pauses while running, and you need to Mend to remove it. The purpose of running is to delay any potential malicious use of the status, as this is primarily used for gameplay purposes where the Survivor was already in a weakened state. and the Killer is right there.
Burning could require a Survivor to run to put it out before they get damaged, and be applied in scenarios where the Killer is elsewhere (so the Survivor needs to sprint and throw down scratch marks), or at the start of a chase to prevent easily walking/LoS out of a chase.
Essentially:
When a Survivor suffers from the Burning status, a tug-of-war meter appears
Burned------------------||-----------------Smothered
Performing rushed actions, and Sprinting shifts the meter towards Smothered, which removes the Burning status.
Burned---------------------------||--------Smothered
While not Sprinting, it decays towards Burned, which will damage a Survivor if reached and resets the Burning tug-of-war.
Burned---------||-------------------------Smothered
Outside of a Killer using it as a primary component of their Power (being able to decay the meter themselves with something such as a flamethrower) it would mainly be a tracking/disruptor status.
If you wanted to make it an even more interesting disruptor tool/troll status, let Survivors spread Burning to other Survivors they bump into.
This is actually a really cool idea.
-
Maybe even add a survivor item, extinguisher.

Wouldn’t it be no different than deep wounds?
Well like I said youd have a larger speed boost, while also being unable to compkete actions like repairs or healing until you're put out.

Yes.
