I just realized. A big move against tunneling would be to remove the stupid notification for MYC.Mc_Harty said:If someone unhooks you, when I'm nearby, I'd be an idiot to chase the healthy survivor (Unless I have MYC).
Sorry not sorry.

It's amazing how quickly this argument gets backtracked as soon as you remind the swf death squads that kyf is a thing.Vortexas said:"Sorry I am more social than u"
"Oh no! I only have three friends! We couldn't possibly let a fifth person in on the 'fun' we are trying to have as friends. It's better to harass a rando we don't know." -
Yep, tunneling is a real problem. How dare the killer not go after the Survivor that will take twice as long to down and kill on the hook in order to give the unhooked time to Self Care up so he also takes twice as long to down later.
How dare the killer not make such a time consuming error when Survivors can bang out the gens in under 5 minutes.
#survivorlogic -
Yes, killers do feel entitled to the kill when they legitimately outplay someone. It's quite tilting when robbed of that kill by multiple ez mode tools from the other side.
-
Hard to be unbiased when the easy mode side holds all the power and uses the mob mentality to defend it.

The scratch marks you make after the three seconds of DWM should disappear quicker with lightweight if that is what you are asking.

And what do Haddonfield houses, The Game chute, Springwood houses, and the swamp maps all have?oke said:@Tzeentchling9 said:
Remove the fall penalty completely with balanced landing? Do you want infinites? Because that is how you get infinites. Why? It is 75% right now and nobody has issues with that. If you loop the same spot over and over again, the killer will get you. It would be like running in an almost straight line. Infinites only occur when windows are there. With or without Balanced Landing.
And Survivors can definitely already infinite Haddonfield houses with how Balanced Landing is now. -

RiSk VeRsEs ReWaRd!

Same problem with camping. Survivors think they deserve their 3rd and 4th chances of escaping a chase.

Where is that doctor video from awhile back? Where he brought Franklin's against a last second switching squad and forced them to lose all their lights? Sounds exactly like what the OP wants to happen on a regular basis. Lmao

There are a couple books and crannies that didn't exist before. Usually created by a piles of tires, barrels, or in the (admittedly see through) walls of the farm maps.Hillbilly420 said:@Tzeentchling9 said:
Farm, McMillan, and Swamp have gotten a little better about totem placements. However, totems still have a terrible habit of spawn on hills in general and in the literal open on the Asylum map. It's still pretty bad.I noticed no difference.
I've also noticed less totems in direct veiw of generators, usually there is a section of rock/trees in the way.
Like I said, it isn't great, but it is slightly better. -

I've seen streamers do fairly well with one handed challenges. There are gaming mice with up to 9 buttons were your thumb rests. You can map WASD to those buttons instead.

Just break the pallet.

I was just starting to enjoy double Swift Hunt tinker wraith too.

I'm pretty sure everyone looks forward to the new perks first, followed by the Killer power. Those are the things that bring new life into game. Everything else is just cosmetic(especially for the Survivor) and new maps don't come into play enough to matter a whole lot.
Not to mention the track record of newer maps has been kind of awful. Swamps are the worst, Preschool is like all the worst things about haddonfield times 10, The game is an interesting idea, but kind of frustrating, and chapel is a sad reskin of asylum. Mother's Dwelling is the last of the recent maps that I actually enjoy. -
It's hilarious how often slowed hook time by killer proximity is suggested. That exact thing has already been tried, tested, and ABUSED BY SURVIVORS. So it wasn't implemented.

Survivors get mad because it's easier to blame the killer for capitalizing on their #########-ups than admitting they ######### up.
Also, to be fair, Angrypug has mellowed a lot recently. I don't think I've heard a "Hi due, ######### boi" from him in a very long time. He still is a little ######### towards nurses, but not that bad. -
I'm at rank 2 as Survivor. It was fun at rank 10, a nice variety, but as soon as I hit rank 5 it was nothing but Hillbillies. Stupid Bloodhunt making me binge my way to red ranksLowbei said:play at better ranks?
i dont see billies “that often” at rank1

Killer main, but I've played Survivor much more recently. Especially before the removal of the pallet vacuum.
But I get exactly why Hillbilly is getting lots of play and I don't fault any killer players for it. It just so boring to keep playing the same match over and over. -
Because she definitely doesn't sound like a choking, asthmatic, chain smoker that you can hear from a mile away...Black_Fence said: There was no way to tell she was there at all unless you were running a perk that would alert the killer to you.
Try taking a second to listen at the door instead of racing your teammates for the open gate points. -
Why though? Purchasing the rights to a licensed character tends to cost money. That is the whole point of licensing.

Because there are different timezones you dumbass. Midnight in the States doesnt mean its also midnight everywhere else. Its not hard to understand time itself but when people write EST it becomes a whole different deal.

Everyone keeps bringing up this sports nonsense. You know what happens in the NFL? If a call is questioned, they review the play and give the reason for a decision. The Devs' statement if like an NFL ref running out onto the field after reviewing a play and stating, "The defending team isn't on steroids. The call on the field stands."

People are still here because we care. We see this game's potential and are constantly fighting to improve it.
The ones left without saying a word are those who have abandoned this game. -

first off he didn't win the chase to mori? i'm not down so why can he straight grab me from like 6 feet away? second off still walks faster than survivors and has blood lust crutches? 3rd it's not that slow if you stalk close to someone and not a mile away...
How is getting right on to the Survivor not winning the chase? Its not 6 feet. He needs to be right up on you and you can't be vaulting or in a locker. He also earned the mori by wasting a ######### ton of time stalking and using up stalking power.
Clearly killers walking fast solves their problems and pallets, loops, and windows are all just figments of their imagination. If myers is trying to tombstone you, he can't lunge and the full stone makes him slower.
Stalking walkspeed is incredibly slow and you need so much of it that it gives the survivor plenty of time to gain distance and break LoS.
The actual distance to stalk doesnt matter either. -
Because it takes Myers ages of not doing anything but stalking and then getting right on the Survivor's ass to perform the mori. The tombstone peice only let's you mori one person per EW3 and the entire tombstone also makes him slow AF.Iodine said:but they are nerfing Brand new parts but not adjusting tombstone, blinks, why can myers just straight grab and mori you without downing or hooking? why can nurse blink 4 times? sure she staggers but can instantly do 4 more blinks..
It's called balance. Survivors don't need BNPs to counter Myers they can get all the gens done before he pops EW3. -
Even removing the Hex still leaves you with a perk that relies on luck for skill checks and Survivors being bad. You can still power through Ruin no problem.Iodine said:@Tzeentchling9 said:
Ruin is in every build because it's the only way killers can hope to prevent the gens from all being done in 4 minutes. It is actually quite garbage that relies on luck for Survivors to get the skill checks, is a totem, and relies on Survivors being bad at skill checks.you say its bad for the wrong reason, the effect is super strong, the weakness is the totem that's how balance works. Super Strong Effect, RNG Spawn weakness. Remove the Totem then ruin effect needs a nerf.

Lmao. The Dev literally stats in the video provided that the range will increase per Survivor killed. You will be looking for that last Survivor with a whispers range of 40 meters.dannyfrog87 said:@Runiver said:
I just liked the consistent 32 meters more.
Now they're turning a strategic perk into a finding perk, which is weird.Tho I suppose it will make casuals Happy, as they do not like perks that are not super straightforward.
exactly my point thats the issue. at least at 32 meters i could track the whole area till i find them. now its every 8 meters yeah more time consuming and a chore. if they do make the perk like this people will realise this is a nerf and probably not like it. more than likely hate it lol ..... butchering the perk pretty good job so far
Also please ignore that the current tier 3 of whispers(the strongest tier) is a SMALLER range than the other two tiers. -
Steam recommended the game to me based on hundreds of hours playing Evolve Stage 2.
-
The devs should just grow some balls, admit nerfing STBFL into unplayable trash was excessive, and revert it back to the flat 40% successful attack cooldown so long as the obsession is alive.
Or maybe as long as the Obsession is in a healthy state. -
That's sick. I hope it works that way. It'd awesome to have your saboed trap back and open again in 30 seconds.Cetren said:I can't wait for the change. Gonna set my traps and then never have to worry about it. It's not even like they can keep them from rearming by sabotage because hangman's trick will make them recover in ten seconds. It's like permanently closing off certain spots on the map. -
Heard it here first, folks. You have to prevent people from avoiding toxic players to fight toxicity.北欧人 said:If the Dev's goal is to truelly fight toxicity, this is a change that must happen, and it's not even a hard change to make, you just have to hide information.

If your best argument is "the patch is buggy" then we should still be waiting of the Alpha launch of this game. -

I wish I was joking. That literally happened in the only Depip Squad match I was able to watch. He was spectating Marth and Marth hit a Claudette who was trying to be immersive and the host instantly switched to another Claudette working a gen and didn't switch off of her until Marth had picked up the first Claudette.EpicFailTryHard said:lol, incredulous.
It was an actual ######### moment. -
"And Marth88 has found his first Survivor!"
*Immediately switches over to spectate a random Claudette working a gen*
Hey Bhvr, I thought the chase was the most important part of the game? -
I've had something similar happen. A doctor who hadn't seen me the entire match slugged the third Survivor and stood over her in treatment mode.
There was very little I could do because he had distressing and I was already 9/10 of the way to madness 3. He ended up dropping the Claudette until she wiggle off and she showed him where I was. The doctor gave her the hatch and stated that he hated hatch campers. So sorry that I didn't give away my position for no reason while you camped the slug, dumbass. -

Doesn't change the fact that if you kill any of the Survivors before the end game, all they have to do is say, "Watch out, he has NoED and Blood Warden." And those two perks are completely nullified.RogueGoddess said:@Tzeentchling9
Actually, I had intended the last 2 to be more of a just in case. There is never a way to know that a killer has Bloodwarden until someone else in the match dies after the gate is open. The hex is fairly obvious, and I can understand the hesitation in using it. This build is more of a "last chance" thing. You have 2 perks to help you in early game with people who have flashlights, and 2 perks to assist you at the end of the game, when people are opening the gates. I can understand that these perks can be situational, but the one who needed help, Techno, was talking about having difficulties closer to the end of the game. -
I'd prefer the trap hitboxes to be unshadownerfed first. It's getting real frustrating to watch Survivors run through trapped pallets by hugging one side and then I can't follow.

I suggested a different rework to SB, as right now it has too many advantages compared to other exhaustion perks and also nullifies ambush based killers (Wraith and Pig), and because it is so widely used, those two killers are heavily punished by a single perk.My proposed change would be to rework SB into:
Sprint Burst gives you an additional 1/2/3 seconds of increased speed after being hit by the killer's attack.
Causes Exhaustion. So basically, it would now double the distance you can cover after being hit by the killer, which would allow you to hide somewhere or just get enough distance to be in a safe spot. Could be quite powerful late game, with gates open too.
Yet, it would stop the bullcrap we currently see in the game, where it destroys ambush based killers, trivalizes bad positioning, because SB can save you and also works as a little Dead Hard, on top of that it also activates mid chase... all of these would be gone.
This is a great idea, but I can already hear the screams of protest and claims that the Devs are destroying the game because it would be useless against one-shots and while injured.
-
It would take 40 seconds of not running. That means walking everywhere.
-
I never play with SWF and Sprint Burst fixes any mistakes I make just fine still.EpicFailTryHard said:they nerfed it? all these survivor nerfs and killer buffs. i know the true culprit. the elephant that continues to relieve itself in the middle of the room. the great satan of this game. the cog in the wheel that mercilessly creates maelstrom and unrest.

S. W. F. -
In a perfect world, I'd agree with this change(or at least change it to exhaustion recovery taking twice as long while performing an action) for the reason you stated. But I'll take what I can get this point. LolTwix said:Sprint Burst Change: I'd go about it a little bit differently, instead of not letting you recover while running - it should be changed so that it won't let you recover while performing an action. (Repairing, healing, etc)
Why? Because the main problem with SB is survivors waiting for the killer to get near them and then run away to a pallet, so by not letting them recover while performing an action it'll make it so SB won't be back up if you're repairing a generator.
