First of all,
I understand that bugs and crashes are frustating and lows the fun of playing the game. But every game this big has the problems.
But to criticize every chapter or update saying its unplayable and demand a ridiculous amount BP for free is just disproportionate.
For example Skyrim had so many bugs over years and no one got any "compensation". We all get free Bp for the many bugs in dbd. Be greatful. I mean its still playable and enjoyable. Take it like a grown up.
I agree but we live in a society that is more and more sensitive and demanding of free stuff lol xD

no because for some unknown reason a ton of people still play trapper and i'm sick of seeing him. Five years the games been out, 24 killers to choose from, each with unique abilities and fun mechanics... and people still play trapper...
Why is that bad? Just because he is old does that mean he should never be played anymore?

lol xD

I appreciate the feedback I'll keep giving her a shot guys

Just run BBQ on wraith with any other good perks you'll get 64k a game easy
What makes wraith so good?

I don't know overall the fact all survivors are just skins just kind of rubs me wrong for some reason. And it seems half the people here like the idea and the other half don't like it. But yes it'd potentially greatly change the gameplay. The upside is it's nice to basically pick the skin you want and be the same as everyone else so that is a plus. Because I would hate to play a character who I didn't like esthetic wise but stat wise I liked them.

Stats worked for f13 but probably not for dbd. This is why I thought a passive you can equip like a perk would probably be the way to go. If Meg had increased speed as a passive then everyone would just pick Meg.
I did mention an endurance stat. Perhaps meg has great speed but would go down in one hit than since she'd lack endurance.

@PatWesker said:
Yes I agree and I once post a topic about it. Like a Unique passive perk to each surv.
This passive could level up when you reach lv 20/40/50 in the web.
Exemple: Dwight gives 1/2/3% action speed to his allies in a radius of 6 meters (except gen repairing)
Nea move speed while crouching is 2/4/5% faster
Claudette has healing speed increased by 2/4/6%
Meg runs 1/2/3% faster when the killer is not looking at her (same mechanic of spine chill but reversed)
Feng vaults 0.5/1/1.5% faster
Jake's voice/sounds are 15/30/40% quieter (still not sure for this one)
Quentin reduces status effects cooldown of him and his mates by 3/6/9% while in 8 meters radius
ETC... these are my ideas, note that these passive buffs must be slight and minor since they could be very overwhelming and OP combined with some perks.
This is only to give survivors a unique style of gameplay
That'd be cool

Survivors do have their own stats, its called Breathing, Crys of Pain and Height.
Some survivors might pick their survivors strictly by appearance but its common knowledge that we have survivors who offer more immersed gameplay than others.
If that's the case than we already have a little bit of that and people are already choosing characters because of that right? So in theory stats might work.

Not necessarily. F13 had alot of variety in who people played as. Granted there were always some who were more popular than others.
F13 was kind of where I was getting the ideas from. But ya you saw a variety there too.

You would see way less variety if this were true.
You see Neas, Megs, and Claudettes because they're survivors everyone has by default. Character stats tell everyone that to play as effectively as possible, they have to pick a certain character. It's now part of the minmaxing meta the same way perks are. Every looper now wants to play Meg because she's objectively the best at it, and maybe you can play Nea or Tapp or Leon too and still do well, but if you like Adam or Ace or Yun-Jin, you're SOL because they all have penalties to those stats. If you find an Ash and a Jane working on a gen, you as the killer should always go after the Jane because she's slower and takes less time to catch, or because Jane will complete the gen faster than Ash can. And inevitably you'd see the majority of survivors get shafted because they don't excel at anything or the thing they excel at isn't as important as the thing other survivor excels at. Maybe Jake's best stat is sabotaging and sneaking, so he sabos faster and creates shorter-lived scratch marks, but this just isn't optimal enough compared to Dwight's faster gen speeds, or Claudette's equal stealth and more widely useful healing buff instead of sabotage. And maybe Dwight isn't even viable because his gen speed repair comes with a movement speed penalty, but Felix's gen speed repair comes with a less impactful luck penalty. Maybe Kate's best stat is a shortened wiggle timer, but that's too situational to be effective on its own, and she's bad at gens which are very important, so why would you ever pick her anymore?
Even if it makes more sense and adds more flavor otherwise, I prefer everyone being the same. It lets people pick the characters they like instead of the character ends up being the best possible choice for their playstyle.
I mean if they did it in a way that would be balanced yes but I do get what you're saying.
-
@gendoss said:
Nah honestly I like it the way we have it now. Let's face it there would be objectively best and worst survivors and I wouldn't want that. I love playing a lot of different survivors and have my mains and it would be terrible if my main suddenly became bad and it would give very little incentive to actually play other survivors if they were objectively worse than others.
Think not enough people play as Adam, Jeff, and Jane? Imagine if their stats were bad.
Imagine if they were great stats though. I mean your main character is just a skin at the end of the day.

That do that Ash Williams ability should be where all the other survivors are dead or escaped a chest well spawn on the map glowing opinion it up and he well pull out his boom stick and chainsaw. The killer well have a health bar aper on top screen just like ash. Ash well have a cool down time when shooting or swing chansall which one goes down first gets mori.
Not gonna lie that'd be cool

Anytime hun. Survivors are as you said skins. We would see more variety in the game besides megheads, neas, and claudettes all day lol. If not its all the new characters every chapter release.
Ya I mean it wouldn't be too hard to do in all honesty. Might take some fine tuning but it'd be great. Like Meg would be lighter, so easier to carry her. But slower at dropping pallets. Stuff like that.
-
So it sounds like she is good in the right hands? When I determine a characters Tier status I imagine them in the greatest DBD players hands lol
@GeneralV said:
I think she is A Tier, as long as you know what you are doing.

Ha. Ha. At least your name is amusing. I like playing hag and love /s in endgame chat.
Lol my User name lol? But ya idk I just really enjoyed playing her this morning for first time. I even streamed one of my games as her and did really well I thought?

@Mazoobi said:
I'd like more uniqueness to survivors. The characters in this game are the sole reason why I continue to play.
Ya that's pretty much what I am saying with this. It would be nice but who knows... I mean maybe BHVR will?! *shrug*
And @OtakaChan thanks! :D

I haven't played it yet and I can't wait

Oh that makes sense

Depends on if you have enough set up time or not. And add ons. Sorta the same way trapper is, but.....ridiculously slower. She works well against people who've never faced her or people who don't have flashlights. But she can be rushed with minimal preparation, which I would say in the current meta puts her down a few pegs.
Oh so long term she isn't the best?
-
I hate Bubba in this game.
-
Just buy them all like I did. Problem solved. I got everything for like $70-$80 bucks.
-
@ShinobuSK said:
Some even put her into S tier. Problem is most people play her really bad or really good, almost no in between.
Btw she is the 3rd most picked killer on tournaments after Nurse and Spirit so yea she can be very strong if you set up traps early
Wow she's that good huh? So what are these tournaments and where are people playing them? Sorry that might be a question for another thread.

How is this a thing in 2021? Like, just how?
I can see why that would make sense actually. I agree with you actually.

@gibblywibblywoo said:
I gave him a genuine chance after the buffs on PC and I just can't see a reality where this killer is even decent. To win against anyone with a brain you just have to get lucky with a map with loads of low walls or dead zones.
What buffs did he just get?
-
I guess my next question is are survivors or killers better for farming BP?

The best one is WGLF, Deliverance, DS, and PT. PT for early game objective points, you get chaser on your own, but it's not that hard, you save to get Deliverance, WGLF, and altruism, at endgame, get hooked, Deliverance, DS and escape as the obsession for max survival. You'll almost always get 32k with this
whats DS?

He has an add on called calm. It increases your terror radius when your static blast is ready to use. So if you use 2 calm add ons (like green and yellow) and couple it with distressing, your terror radius is ENORMOUS. On some maps, like the game, it virtually covers the entire map.
Docs a good killer and hes great for bp farming, i highly recommend grinding him out. Even without double calm and distressing you should do really well with bps. Just dont forget bbq.
Okay I will keep that in mind thank you!
-
@supersonic853 said:
I just play matches as legion. You quickly max chaser deviousness and brutality by just smacking every survivor over and over.
I guess I am still learning how you get deviousness and brutality

I find Doctor the most usefull for the BP grind. I should drop the hex and use something else, since you chase the survivors anyway and get max points on that with ease.
Okay I will drop thrill of the hunt!
-
@Edgars_Raven said:
Run bbq and distressing on doc, if youre decent at the game hitting 30k wont be a problem. Pair it with double calm for extra salt.
Legions also good for points if youre good with him, youll easily max out your stabs and chaser. Bbq on him obviously
Only problem is my doc is lvl 1 and I have never played him before. What is Double calm?

I'm not really a Huntress main myself but... is Huntress known for moaning?
Well moaning or just breathing really strangely yes.
-
Okay so no one else is having issues?
-
And pallets glitching out is another thing I noticed.
-
Is it me or is Dwight Dabbing?
-
i think you should talk to your therapist.
-
Pretty creative ya
-
That is some insane lag... You sure it's not just your network settings? Is the optimization problem mostly on console?
-
Not gonna lie really thought that Trickster would've had his own map. Would've been lit lol xD

Draculas power would work where after you down a survivor, you may drink from them to gain power before picking them up. I'm thinking it'll have a low budget chase power and a strong ult.
That would actually be cool. I could see him downing the survivor and getting a power boost after drinking the survivors blood. I need to make a concept for Dracula

They’re a rank 18 killer, so what do you expect? The survivors they’re used to going against probably don’t punish them for just camping the hook with Insidious so to them, it seems like a viable strategy. I mean, they got the 4K in your match. So… 😬
No you’re right. Idk was just frustrated I guess. And I have a lot to learn about proper streaming ethics. So sorry everyone for my behavior I do apologize.

Out of curiosity, if you were able to do stuff after getting sacrificed, such as aiding the still living survivors, would you be as likely to want to forfeit (Leave Game) if the Killer is mercilessly slaughtering you?
I think if there is still a chance. I'm talking when the killer is camping 3 bodies in basement.

I have a Masters degree and the average college course is NOT nine hours a week. 3 hrs class time and 6 hrs homework? Not accurate at all.
Let me rephrase. 3 credits means 3 credit hours which is recommended how much time you should put into that class a week. So actually it's worth 3 college courses. That's almost a part time student schedule.

I thought you were going to complain about the rift, but just getting the perks you want on one character? That should be easy if you haven’t already gone and boosted all of your characters beyond level 40 and unlocked all of the teachable perks. You have to be smart about which characters to do that with otherwise you’re going to be dealing with lousy Ace perks at every turn.
Currently I am trying to get all toons I have to lvl 40
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
I'm not looking forward to unlocking Jill and Leons perk along with Nemesis. Perk levels should have been removed 2 years ago but all thats happened in that time is the devs giving us less and less double BP.
I mean I don't see why they'd give us less BP. It's not like there is a pay to win option. I like that perks aren't purchasable through bloodweb. But again yes get rid of perk tiers
-
@Mr_K said:
Sorry but 200hrs is nothing for this game, even if the grind were reduced to a third.
For a long running game like this expect 1k hours min.
So I understand 200hrs isn't a lot in a game. But what I am explaining is now that I am older with kids and a full time job I just want to be able to play the build I want. Not wait another month or two or more... I have 3,000 plus hours across my WOW characters so I understand this.
-
@WexlerWendigo said:
Yes, the grind is completely ridiculous for anyone other than unemployed billionaires. They haven’t made a single attempt at giving us more BP (other than the archives which are not enough). We should get 100k/day for logging in, we shouldn’t need an event for this. How are there NO login rewards other than XP?
Also, there are plenty of ways to revamp the blood web, and they haven’t changed it in years. They could easily get rid of perk tiers, so that you only need to buy a perk once on each character.
The grind gets worse and worse each chapter, how are new players supposed to ever catch up?
Ya the tiers for perks doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Just give us the perk the way it's supposed to be lol xD
