Only tip I can give you is always bringing BBQ and WGLF and pump those BP offerings. Always play the role with the shortest queues at the time. If you're killer, Doctor, Legion and Blight are BP machines.
Whats WGLF?

How about Dracula from Transylvania? The show is dope, games are legendary, and he's one of the cooler renditions of Dracula. Survivors could be Trevor and tifa. Sheeee, I may just make a chapter concept, its been a while
Ya in this discussion we we're kind of thinking that a little bit. But ya I could see Dracula and Two survivors for sure. Trevor and Tifa would be sick. Would be interesting for sure. Let me know what concept you come up with.
-
I think we need a very erotic killer. Like S&M but the killer takes it to far and kills you! For example... It follows... And when it catches you it well... if you've seen the movie you know.
-
Yes I mean Walking Dead dlc wouldn't be a far stretch. I am talking more along the lines of what bringing AI can do for future killers coming to DBD. Or the fact that we now have a killer that affects the internal environment of the match itself. So could we see bigger and more epic concepts coming to DBD? Could a killer change the weather in the game? Could the killer permanently affect the terrain. Etc etc. Could there be more destructible terrain for the killer to interact with? Could a killer sink a generator into the ground or move it somewhere else. Could survivors have a little companion they bring into the game like a pet? Maybe a perk?

I expect a rework of Legion with the 4 members although I am sure this will not be easy.
I could see the 3 other members being controlled by AI and left to patrol a specific spot. But they'd have to be able to be destroyed temporarily by survivors or that presence would be OP. But it'd be a sick idea.

Or at the very least...a vampire.
That's pretty much what I am going for. If I am being honest I could see a vampire that fits well into this game. And a Dracula skin. I just think overall I am surprised a vampire isn't in this game. But perhaps it's too much of a cliché? But with the Castlevania series being a hit I don't see why they couldn't pull it off.

Unsportsmanlike conduct on the DBD community.... 50 yard penalty... 1st down for BHVR

Sorry @EQWashu u I was trying to give people reasons as to why a Dracula would still be good and even if potentially based off of the anime series Dracula so it could be a little more edgy. I will do my best to keep this topic on point :)

Yeah, they are missing like
Dracula
Wolfman
Frankenstein
Mummy
Anything Cthulhu mythos
All of these are public domain too so they don't need a license.
Yes those would all be good additions. I can see a skin for Frankenstein for Doctor.

Why not have Sgt. Johnson as his own character?
He would probably be the only one from Halo series who would fit into the game tbh. I mean ya I'd love to see him as a character actually now that I think about it. I mean Halo is kind of Horror. I mean at that point they could also argue to get Sgt. Fenix in from Gears of War. But do games like this fit into DBD? Hard to say. Also who would the killer be?

To be honest I like the idea but me personally I would say cheif and flood
Chief's too tall. Taller than most killers actually. Sgt. Johnson would probably just be a skin for Detective Tapp. And maybe a flood skin for the blight. As much as I love Halo don't get me wrong. Cause if Master Chief was in this game all the killers would be dead including the Entity lol xD
-
Trickster. I would decrease the amount of Knives it takes to down a survivor from 8 to 6. I would also make it that the survivor has to mend themselves to get rid of the stacks of laceration. Than and maybe than he might actually be a B tier killer. I know people say it but there's indisputable reasons why he is lacking and the dev's know this. For their most recent killer to be hardly ever played is sad.

Dead By Daylight has to be by far one of the most toxic games I have ever played and although people say you "can't blame the developers" don't you think it's partly their fault because of how it's designed? I see a lot of people blame the developers for this game's toxicity and I wanna know what other people think. Personally I feel as if they are part of the problem when they don't nerf things like NOED and Iridescent Head as well as when they say that face camping is a "legitimate strategy" which lets face reality it isn't.
Play CSGO for a day and let me know if you still think this game is toxic. The "Toxic" in this game is Childs play.
-
I have played both killers but pig way more. In my experience both are decent with loops but I feel like both are on the lower tier of loop handling. Some loops you can see pig clearly crouched and others you can't. For wraith it's just a matter of how long it takes to uncloak and cloak that makes it comparable.

But that is the problem, Dead by Daylight is essentially a chase game. Like the 80s and 90s slashers it is jump scares and in your face horror. The closest it can come to gothic terror is a skin, and that isn't going to do justice to the Impaler. Stoker's vampires were subtle, deadly creatures not in your face monsters (although I'm sure they could be when the need arose). Reducing the Count to a chasing people around a map would be tragic no matter how it is done. We would end up with something more akin to that Dracula in the horrible Van Helsing movie staring Hugh Jackman. I just don't think a chase game can do gothic horror.
I guess I kind of agree with you. I can see this "Goth" Look of Dracula chasing people around and if done wrong it would be tragic.

Meh not really aggreing with Frankenstein, if youre not talking about the doctor but his creature. The creature was more a victim than a coldblood killer ( such as Rin i know )
I mean Jason was also at first just a victim to others before going crazy killing people. But I get what you're saying. The PIg (Amanda) Was just a regular drug addict before being tested by JigSaw.

There is like others have pointed out Jason stalks people and has a massive amount off strength and a lot of times he used his strength to bust through door's, walls etc, If they ever got Jason one day they would have to make part off him stealth which trapper doesn't have stealth, his strength they could allow Jason to smash though breakable doors then has a cool down before you could use it again.
With those 2 things in mind and what he was like in the movies Tapper is nothing like Jason and the same with Jason his nothing like Trpper, so they both could viable be in the game as both off them would be different from each other and have there own skills and play style.
No I was reading everyone elses points I just wanted a final consensus. And I think I found what I was looking for. I personally wanted to see how everyone else was feeling about Jason and I know some people have said well Trapper is basically Jason. And I agree that the Dev's have done a great job at creating these unique characters from scratch and I was worried Trapper would be obsolete. But now I see that he wouldn't be. And y'all are right Jason probably wouldn't have bear traps in this game. I could totally see him just walking through walls and doors and pallets just coming in all massive and just wrecking survivors! I bet DBD has all kinds of concepts and ideas. Hell maybe they already have something concrete but are waiting to share it? I mean I wouldn't doubt it. But man just excited to see Jason in this game. And also really miss the Friday the 13th solo game.
@Elena Ya Part 7 would work very well. But part 4 jason would be more likely
But.. Legendary skin right here!

@ausanimal said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/254679/the-trapper-vs-jason-voorhees
The trapper is not really like Jason if you look at all the F13th movies there is one the he only really used bear traps on and i think it was the 2009 movie, they might off made trapper kind off look the same with the mask but otherwise they are two different killers. Take one movie when someone was in a Portable toilet did Jason set a trap outside off it and wait for them to come out Jason skewers his victim two times through the Porta Potty's walls, leaving him to die without a shred of dignity.
The list could go on but they are two different killers with different kill styles the trapper sets traps where as Jason just kills without out the use off traps apart from that one movie.
So overall there would be enough of a difference to make both characters still viable in your opinion?
-
@Grimmy_Bluues said:
I have always thought this is a super unfair comparison, since Jason has so many different versions of himself.
Jason could have a Rage meter that fills progressively throughout the match that when full, allows you to push a pallet back upright with one hand instead of getting stunned and being able to easily walk through breakable walls and dropped pallets.
His other ability could have him become surrounded by fog/mist when he tiers up his meter and then he would see the auras of all survivors, allowing him to use his power button to teleport a certain distance in front of wherever they are moving/looking.
As for a special attack, I can see him being able to choke a survivor he downs with one hand and then throw them a certain distance, damaging other survivors and breaking pallets/walls.
It's why I don't think there is a more anticipated killer for this game for our generation. Of course I think this game is missing one of the most iconic horror creatures of all and that is Dracula but I talk about that in my other discussion.

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
But in this game 1 bird wont get you much and is basically a loss.
-
SO most would agree NOED isn't a great perk slot? I can't seem to find a scenario where I would need it over something else. Cause if it only gets you a 1k instead of 0 at the end of the match. Chances there's a greater issue than your play style. It could be that NOED keeps you from having an edge on survivors during the majority of the time. Imagine all the other perks you can roll besides NOED.

This. Like Frankenstein, Dracula is an icon far greater than any random slasher.
Agreed. And @Moundshroud Yes I would only want them to do it in a classic yet edgy way to do Dracula justice. I'm not saying Cheesy but I'm not saying Twilight either lol.

You're right he is before their time. He is a more iconic horror creature than any 80's or 90's slasher.

Not sure about this one, Dracula is just oversaturated in media in general via movies, game, books hell even tv..
Nothing really against Drac his inclusion just wouldn't be anything special and would probably fade away after a few days of people playing as his for just the namesake.
Just to be clear i personally wouldn't be against drac being added i just think it would be nothing special.
I can see that. I would imagine the release would be around Halloween or something? Just to Hype it up a little more perhaps.

I grew up with Castlevania. Castlevania is my jam. I love the second and third games in particular, as well as SOTN, but many of them are at least "good". Yet, somehow, I have needlessly dragged my feet on the anime. I think it's because (A) I didn't think that Castlevania and anime would be a good fit, and (B) I was too afraid to believe that a Castlevania show would actually be good. My understanding is that I'm wholly wrong on both accounts.
It is amazing!!!!!!!
-
@Marik13 xD Jason is literally and unstoppable machete wielding zombie with the strength of 13 gorillas hyped up on some weird chemical mixture of steroids and meth.
This has me dead lol xD. But OG Jason for sure!
@miketheratguy said:
The Trapper's cool, I think he's an underrated killer. I've seen people use him very deviously, very intelligently, and very successfully.
But he's no Jason. Jason is literally a living, unkillable zombie (well, MAYBE. That's definitely a topic for another thread). A little deformed boy left to drown by hedonistic teenagers. He somehow grew to have the brute force of a bull and paranormal abilities that allow him to basically never die no matter the circumstances to the point that in a few hundred years he's going to be studied by space labs.
He's brutal. He doesn't even need his machete. He can crush your skull with his bare hands. He's fast. He's impervious to pain, drowning, anything you can throw at him. His only weakness is Final Girls, who somehow manage to inflict the blow that can take him down.
And Corey Feldman. But come on, Corey Feldman ruled us all in the 80s.
And omg yes.

I stand corrected, there is another who can voice Dracula and is alive.
Hell maybe just a Castlevania cross over lol lets go Trevor Belmont?! But for real he does Dracula well in the anime series!
-
@Orion said:
The only way a Dracula would be acceptable is if he were voiced by either Bela Lugosi or Sir Christopher Lee. Unfortunately, both of them are dead. Therefore, Dracula is off-limits.
I mean yes preferably but they could put them in with no voice acting like most of the killers. However I wouldn't be opposed to the voice actor of Dracula from Castlevania (Graham McTavish.)

Would be cool if you had to collect gasoline and spare parts to actually fix the generators. Make it that you only have to fix 2 generators in proximity to one of the two opening gates. But finding parts takes time and you have to bring them back to generator. And would be more moving around and looking for things instead of... sitting here on a gen.... again...

All of them!

I could see this as an alternative game mode.

What I mean is that totem spawns can be hilariously bad (looking at you hill totem) and we are getting counterforce soon in addition to a buffed small game and detective's hunch. I am currently contemplating whether it is even worth it to spend a million bp on hag to unlock ruin if the chances of it surviving longer than 2 minutes are slim. Just asking for your opinions.
I think totems are such a cool mechanic and feature I really hope Boon totems help boost them or protect them cause I agree they're great when you still have the totem up. I am running this weird build with Huntress. And in a weird way they work together. I'm constantly running all over the map with the notifications of totems and BBQ that Beast of Prey has me constantly on a survivors tail. And it's hard but I basically hard focus and will literally stop what I am doing as soon as I hear or see a totem being messed with.
I have Rank 3's.....
1. BBQ n Chilly. 3. Thrill of the Hunt
2.Huntresses Lullaby 4. Beast of Prey

I'm not disagreeing I actually don't know cause from my understanding I can't see why anyone wouldn't pick OP bubba.

I feel like Jason would have two abilities (in the same way Demogorgon and Pig do).
Ya I couldn't imagine he would be too simple. But balanced enough to where people just throw away the trapper. You know? What kind of ability do you think?
-
You using cross play? Cause I notice solo play is faster than party play.
-
New perk from Nemesis will stop this lol xD. But I mean I feel like how often can you pull this off?
-
Ya I have noticed some challenges are a little.... annoying. Like getting 4 protection hits or 4 safe unhooks in one gaming using the perk we're gonna make it. I mean it's a good idea in theory but I think the concept of getting people to try different things is a good thing but sometimes how can you expect me to catch 4 people in the trappers trap in a single trial? I am rank 7 and most players that rank aren't that dumb to fall for a trap 4 times in a match.
-
I appreciate everyone's answers it actually helped me identify what I think winning is. I think if I get a challenge done, or a pip I guess is what they call it. Or I survive. Or get a decent amount of BP I feel decent. I guess I'm just used to a Win/Lose Ratio from certain games. But I guess the game doesn't really keep track of "Winning games" So it's nice to just focus on playing well I guess as apposed to just "winning the game" Or the match etc etc.

Nurse is more broken than spirit tho. If anything nurse needs a nerf. And don’t say “she requires lots of practice to be good with her”. That isn’t a good excuse
But Nurse actually takes a lot of accuracy. She is easier to predict and dodge. But it's up for speculation. I guess if you are really good at listening and determining sounds than you can counter spirit. But it's almost like even though you hear her coming it doesn't matter to much. I see very few people play nurse. When they do they struggle or they just destroy you. With spirit I don't think I've seen any spirit player struggle. But again it's what I have seen in my 160 hours. Where people here have played since day 1. So maybe I'll leave it up to the veterans to decide. Just saying my friends and I came into this game recently and new. And right away without anyone telling us Spirit is "OP" We started realizing we lose 9/10 games against spirit.
