If you'd read the patch notes the devs posted on this very forum, you'd know this is an issue with the Spirit that they're trying to fix. Perks aren't going to help.

Could have sworn there was a bug section on the forum, Not general discussions. Deliverance is bugged to, did I come here to complain about it? Nope. Also I thought I told you to stop @ me. Ignoring you past this post.

Again, I wasn't sure if It was a bug or a feature. Since you can never know with these devs.

  • I really enjoy this killer but I have to agree. Her power should be able to use at anytime you have a charge or the cool down needs to be cut. Now that being said give it time! She is a high skill killer. She has the potential to be one of the strongest if you put time into her. It was the same with Clown. A strong killer but because survivors found a few ways to counter him, every killer should have counter play, and killers weren't owning 4 man SWF every game he was called weak. Still is by many and I see the same happening to the Spirit if people
just give up after 1-2 days. It might take weeks even months to get good with her but the potential IS there. Imagine if Billy was the standard and Nurse came out today. How many would try her for one day, say she sucked, and never touch her again?

You are comparing a mid tier killer with top tier killers. Clown is okay in skilled hands,  but can never compete with a nurse or Billy.
  • Problem with reports is, that people report stupid things when they lose.
Yesterday I was reported for wallhacking.

Spirit Walk needs a shorter cooldown. Not significantly so, and they could nerf her speed a little, but it would be better if she could phase more often for roughly the same benefit. I think they would narrow these swings in effectiveness she sees. Also, she should be able to vault while phasing and not lose any time on it.

    @Tsulan said:
Anyone else noticed that 24 hours after her release, killers barely play her?

Either let her see survivors while phasing or reduce the cooldown to 5 or 10 seconds.
Both things just gimp her to much.

I've played against a fuckload of Spirits already. I don't know why you aren't seeing any.

    Today I played against 1 Billy, 2 Wraiths, 2 Trappers, 1 nurse, 1 pig and 2 Spirits.

Stop @ me kid, if you think nurse is fine you are part of the problem.

It's automatic, kid. If you think Nurse is not fine, you are part of the noobs.

Pretty sure if the killer side as a whole is weak af, but a single killer gets constant unavoidable 3k’s (hatch doing God’s work), then there’s 2 issues. One of which being nurse

But nerfing that one killer won't make the other killers more powerful.
Devs need to release some strong killers and buff all non meta killers hard.
  • They need to make proper ranks. They took some inspiration from the R6 roadmap. Why stop there? Why not make the ranks like in R6 with a reset every season and rewards according to the reached rank.
  • Tunneling can happen deliberately or accidentally. It depends on the game pace, how my mood is and what kind of survivors I face.
Accidentally example: a survivor who was on his last hook and injured, crossed my path 3 times while I searched for the MYC exposed survivor. Couldn't find that survivor, so I took the injured one.

Talks the one who is defending a killer that can ignore any thing that survivors can use to not get downed within 10 seconds...

How is he a noob for thinking nurse is unbalanced? People here have no right to have their own opinion because some whiny killer? Ok.

How about you stop "main"ing killer and play survivor sometimes? Go against a pro nurse over and over and then say "nurse is balanced".

And before you assume bs, I play both sides pretty much equally, but lately play more killer than survivor. With that said , I hate playing nurse and will never play her unless I have a daily and I can't recycle it. Imo the one who came up with that bs should be fired.

    That's all , bye.

Don't bother replying to me I don't have anything more to talk to people like you about.

Nurse is the only killer who can't be looped. What a surprise that survivor mains think she's OP.

Learning to play nurse takes easily 200+ hours.
Survivors enjoy bullying a noob nurse, because it's easy to dodge her. But disconnect the moment they face a good nurse, because they can't be bothered to spend even a fraction of that time to learn to dodge her.

Show me video proof of you yourself dodging a nurse main 1k + hours. If you can't then stop with your biased comments.

Show me video proof of yourself chasing and downing a 1k+ survivor main while playing nurse. If you can't, then stop with your biased comments.

  • @Tsulan Some would go for the gens to kick them especially if they have Pop Goes The Weasel. Others would prefer to search around the area, and see if they can hit someone nearby because that would cause another survivor to stop repairing and get the hooked survivor.

A killer can still see the survivor's aura behind a gen. It's not a very clear shade, but the outline of the survivor's shape can be noticed. Because of this, killers would just run towards that gen to find that survivor or at least kick the gen.

I asked that question to point out the reason why camping still exists as barbecue didn't stop this method. Imo, the perk gave killers an easier way to find survivors faster to try to put more pressure instead of countering the camping strategy.

Camping has been heavily reduced since the release of BBQ. Now you barely see threads about it. Before Leatherface was released, we had countless threads about camping.

Map pressure is only possible with mobile killers. If you use the non meta killers, you'll have to try to lockdown parts of the map by gen camping (3 gen strat). But people are already complaining that this is holding the game hostage...

Pop goes the weasel only works If you have an idea of where to go. Since it's cooldown doesn't leave a lot of error margin.

So a perk that reduced camping is bad for stealth? I never knew that the rice farmer on the field is stealthy. I always thought the ninja in the same room as his victim was stealthy.

I don't think barbecue reduced camping. Killers still camp whether they are using the perk or not because they want to secure a kill. Gates are open and you get someone on the hook. Would you go for the 3 people closer to the gate, or take the one life you caught already?

Four seconds to wait for the aura to come off, so you can change directions doesn't always work especially if the killer is a Hillbilly running to you. Killers would also still camp, patrol, or search around if they didn't see the survivors' auras because he/she would assume "oh they must be around here."

Put yourself in the position of the killer for a moment.
You have BBQ equipped, hook a survivor, do a 360 to see where survivors are aaaaand you see no one, because everyone hides behind a gen or inside your terror radius. Do you search closeby, because there are probably survivors nearby or do you run to the farthest gen without looking back?

If the gates are powered, the killer has every right to camp. He has no reason to leave that hook, because there are no gens to protect, no totems to look at, just the guy on the hook and the survivors at the exit gates teabagging. If you try to hit them, they´ll just leave. So why leave?

Killers lose more time by trying to not get stunned by the pallet than taking it. It's like when killers complain about survivors who rather bleed out than getting hooked and not giving those bps to killers.

Lets ignore juking for the moment, because I don't think it adequately diverts the issue of allowing the survivors to feel like they have the upper hand on the killer. What NEW mechanics could be added to make survivors feel weak, but sneaky, that would actually be effective?

Things that take the power away from the survivor:

    • Making No Mither the basekit for everyone.
    • 3 survivor matches
    • hardcore mode without terror radius and perks
    • 2 killers

Every single one of these suggestions break the game.

Myers is the best 4th killer in the game and his power is a limited one shot. No mither easily gives Myers's ability to the other killers without any drawback with unlimited EW3.

3 survivor matches are extremely boring. I never play those both as a survivor and as a killer.

Tinkerer bug was funny but mostly broken. If the scratch marks will be removed, I am okay with this change.

I have never played a killer without perks but from my survivor experience, the game becomes incredibly unfun as a perkless survivor even if I win.

2 killers would break the game easily in several ways.

He asked for something that would take away the power from the survivors.
Those things would do exactly that.
I love to play 3 survivor matches. It feels frightening and intense. Sadly most of the survivors like to simply disconnect. But when the killer is not camping (he usually doesn´t feels pressured to do so). Then it makes for some awesome matches.

Your thread looks nice and fun. I would love to try it out. I already said that if there are no scratch marks, I am okay with no heartbeat.

I understand that these changes would make the survivors feel weak and sneaky but it doesn't look balanced or fun.

Would you consider the game balanced right now? Because we are still far away of having a good balance.
But i understand that this is difficult in a assymetric game.

@Tsulan IMO, given the goal of the game (to emulate slasher movies) I don't believe juking is any better of a solution. It still creates the weird "ha ha can't catch me, killer" and takes the power away from the killer that looping does. The killer should be powerful, the survivors should feel weak and sneaky.

But usually the slasher end with a mori the moment the killer downs the survivor.
We could introduce this here... would make hell of a short game.

    Basically:

@Tsulan - Pallet looping has no counters.

@SenzuDuck - You can play around pallet looping.

I'm just laughing at people who think it's an exploit.

It´s not an exploit. I find it just a poor design decision. The game is so much more fun for everyone, when the survivor knows how to juke. How to mindgame the killer. But running in circles is simply as boring as camping.

    @Tsulan
Mindgames are a 2 people thing
I've been rekt by noobs because the made no sense on the their actions.
Like when i got everything calculated and the killer does something totally unexpected because, among high rank players, would be a stupid move.
Same goes for a skilled killer and a skilled survivor. Killer can anticipate survivors next move and act accordingly

Yeah, today i made some "clever" moves that usually work. But i somehow encountered new killers that made a "dumb" move and caught me and vice versa.
Just had a match where i had to leave for 5 minutes or so in the middle of a chase. I thought, i´d be probably dead when i return. ######### happens. But i was alive and being healed. We all escaped that match.

    Or is this your opinion?

Sorry - let's go back to camping and pretend I have an issue with it.

I only brought up camping, because looping is for killers what camping is for survivors: boring

Except it's not at all - If a killer is camping they have someone, that persons game is essentially over unless a super hero BT save comes in (and I'm sorry but I hardly see BT anymore since you know, the well deserved nerf happened). If a survivor STOPS looping and running they die, it's not at all the same, in my opinion.

Also the comparison between looping and camping is so irrelevant as I'm not even asking for camping to removed so how can you compare them like I do.

Don´t worry, i shall be your hero. I use BT on every build.

Shhhh don´t worry, we are not fighting. This if foreplay.

Everyone wants pallets removed but they don't bring something to balance things up, what shall Survivors do if that happens? Crouch walk the entire game? 360's ? everyone using P3 Claudette's ?

Jungle gyms and mindgames. High sight blockers. Windows, etc.
I really love it when survivors juke. Sadly only a few know how to.
    Most just run in circles.

Wait... are you implying that i´m a low rank killer?

I'm implying people just deal with it, like other players and not everyone should be expected to be rank 1 or win most of their games. Maybe they are setting the bar too high for themselves, or think they are playing better then they are. Then they face some players who just plain out play them over and over. Then realization that maybe they aren't as good as they thought they were sets in.

Oh i´m dealing with it. But i can express my opinion on a bad design choice.
I mean most of us have been playing this game for over 1000 hours. It´s somewhat addicting.

    Vaulting =/= Running speed.

Myers has an insta down that makes him super fast, again - you're clearly just poor at playing him so clearly he can't do anything.

Is what I said, I worded it poorly but I also didn't say he moves faster either.
He gets a lunge that's long AF which should counter the elusive loop gap.

As i said, he turns into road runner.

This post essentially makes it look like you also want Myers buffed as well as "removing loops". I think you need to come to terms with just being very good. buff this for me, buff this for me, buff this for me, remove this for survivors tho.

Please stop putting words into my mouth.
I never said that Myers needs a buff or anything.
I literally said "he turns into road runner".

But hes sooooooo slow, he can't counter loops at all :( please make him stronger so he can counter loops, pleaseeeeeeeee.

@Tsulan @SenzuDuck u mind to summarize the whole discussion so i can participate as well? :P
I could swear this has been a thing for long xD

He needs to move faster when leaving stealth. Right now it's way to slow.
Once they fix that, he'll be top tier.

That's why he gets a 1-second speed boost upon a full decloak.

    Not enough :p

This is how I've been playing and it has worked (low rank, mind you):
    1. Find a Survivor.
    2. Decloak.
    3. Hit the panicking Survivor with the speed boost. If they have Sprint Burst, cloak and chase them a bit to close the distance.
    4. Cloak again and chase them.
    5. Uncloak and hit the Survivor a second time.

You forgot the 20 pallets in between. Because that uncloak slowdown is just enough, so the survivor can get to a pallet. This is complaining on high niveau. So far i like the changes on him.

Look, i promised i wouldn´t laugh, but those "counters" are just ridiculous. Just admit that there are no counters. That Myers can´t do anything to counter looping. (just to name 1 killer).
Also your logic of "thousands of people counter looping every day" could apply to camping. So camping no problem?

You honestly have serious issues. I've stated several times now that I have no issue with camping, you can't do anything about it and I play around it because It's part of the game, whats your obsession?

Myers has an insta down that makes him super fast, again - you're clearly just poor at playing him so clearly he can't do anything.

Really, you have failed to proof anything but behave like you won a loop or anything. I already offered you to agree to disagree. Please stop making a fool out of yourself. Because you invalidate my comments by laughing. Very mature btw.

Except, if you're actually a good killer "looping" doesn't affect you in 8/10 matches, it's part of the game, you can't get rid of it, just like you can't get rid of camping ( WHICH HOPEFULLY YOU CAN READ THIS, I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH).
of course I laugh at you - I play this game and do absolutely fine, when there is an issue it's usually a mistake I've made as a killer, I don't have to pretend it's mechanics because I know I ######### up.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/311618921?t=02h53m30s

Oh look - if you watch this game, it shows a killer doing poorly to chase me, so I BM him, then give him the down and he camps me, if you listen you can hear how angry I am when he camps. LOL.

But yea, hurr durr here we are again talking about camping that I'm absolutely not asking for to be removed.

There is really no arguing with you... sigh
Oh and Myers doesn´t get a speed bonus or anything when he´s EW3. He just has a slightly longer lounge.
    Maybe you should play him.

I warned you that this would go on and on. But you seem to be bored.

He literally vaults windows faster in EW3 - but no, no speed boosts or anything to counter looping.

    Vaulting =/= Running speed.
