@Tsulan @SenzuDuck u mind to summarize the whole discussion so i can participate as well? :P
I could swear this has been a thing for long xD

Looping is no problem, because Myers turns into road runner.

  • Yes, there is a bug. I don´t know if the game thinks you are in the basement or if it´s just falsely named. I have the same "problem".

oh god... the big looping debate continues.....

There seems to be quite allot of players that seem to do ok with survivors looping.. There seems to be quite a bit of high rank killers...

Is it maybe not everyone is supposed to climb the ladder to the top? That there just might be better players out there?

Wait... are you implying that i´m a low rank killer?

He needs to move faster when leaving stealth. Right now it's way to slow.
Once they fix that, he'll be top tier.

That's why he gets a 1-second speed boost upon a full decloak.

    Not enough :p

Look, i promised i wouldn´t laugh, but those "counters" are just ridiculous. Just admit that there are no counters. That Myers can´t do anything to counter looping. (just to name 1 killer).
Also your logic of "thousands of people counter looping every day" could apply to camping. So camping no problem?

You honestly have serious issues. I've stated several times now that I have no issue with camping, you can't do anything about it and I play around it because It's part of the game, whats your obsession?

Myers has an insta down that makes him super fast, again - you're clearly just poor at playing him so clearly he can't do anything.

Really, you have failed to proof anything but behave like you won a loop or anything. I already offered you to agree to disagree. Please stop making a fool out of yourself. Because you invalidate my comments by laughing. Very mature btw.

Except, if you're actually a good killer "looping" doesn't affect you in 8/10 matches, it's part of the game, you can't get rid of it, just like you can't get rid of camping ( WHICH HOPEFULLY YOU CAN READ THIS, I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH).
of course I laugh at you - I play this game and do absolutely fine, when there is an issue it's usually a mistake I've made as a killer, I don't have to pretend it's mechanics because I know I ######### up.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/311618921?t=02h53m30s

Oh look - if you watch this game, it shows a killer doing poorly to chase me, so I BM him, then give him the down and he camps me, if you listen you can hear how angry I am when he camps. LOL.

But yea, hurr durr here we are again talking about camping that I'm absolutely not asking for to be removed.

There is really no arguing with you... sigh
Oh and Myers doesn´t get a speed bonus or anything when he´s EW3. He just has a slightly longer lounge.
    Maybe you should play him.

I warned you that this would go on and on. But you seem to be bored.

  • He needs to move faster when leaving stealth. Right now it's way to slow.
Once they fix that, he'll be top tier.
  • Well that's exactly how this perk should work. I fail to see the issue.
  • I got her just for the perks.
    She'll be the new Freddy
  • Her perk rancor is stupid broke.
    What's broken about that perk?

Looping happens before the pallet drops btw. Every killer who's worth his salt, knows that.

"holy counter" oh so you want something that's overpowered and unbeatable, it wont happen, eat the pallet and carry on, it's not hard. I truly believe you must not be very good at this game.

So you admit that there are no counters to looping?

You play the game, because it's part of it, that's how you counter it, you play around it. I don't understand what you want, you can literally play the game, thousands of people counter looping every day but you can't grasp that,

Bloodlust (which was added to counter loops like are you not getting that)
Perks (Some counter looping ONE WAS EVEN ADDED WITH THE NEW KILLER)
Play A Killer You're Good At

Unlike camping, which has several counters. Like DS or BT for example?

D Strike (Which is getting nerfed btw, thank [BAD WORD]) as a counter for camping? What do you smoke.
BT - If you're camping, you hit the one coming in, and then you hit them again as you should be recovered by the time they've unhooked.

ALSO - why are we talking about camping, which I know can't be removed from the game, [BAD WORD] lol.

But no, hurrr durr, despite all this lets change the subject and talk about camping despite me never asking for it to be removed.

Look, i promised i wouldn´t laugh, but those "counters" are just ridiculous. Just admit that there are no counters. That Myers can´t do anything to counter looping. (just to name 1 killer).

OMG you are right! i just opened the game description http://www.deadbydaylight.com/en/game/informations/gameplay and there it is under survivor features:

    • run in circles until the killer grows tired of doing so
    • teabag at the exit gates

Oh look - someone who thinks survivors should run in straight lines so he can get easy wins.

Please stop putting words into my mouth. I never said that. (sounds familiar?)

"Looping isn't in the game description" implying it shouldn't be done, camping isn't in the game description either, so killers shouldn't be doing it, obviously.

There are more things to lose the killer than running in circles.

Please, tell me the many mechanics to losing the killer, I'm sure you're great at it.

Devs mentioned camping in the pre release streams.
They never said anything about running in circles tho.

Oh, they never mentioned anything about survivors surviving? Are you implying survivors are supposed to do EVERYTHING but run around loops to survive?

    Looping =/= Surviving

Look, we can go back and forth for hours.
You claiming that survivors con only survive by looping and i claiming that there are more things like juking, stealth, mindgames, etc.
You ignoring those things and insisting on looping being the only way, and so on...

How about we agree to disagree?

Please don't put words in my mouth, I didn't say it's the only way to survive at all - but complaining about something that is in the game and literally cannot be removed is ridiculous.

You mean like you complained about camping?
And it sure as hell can be removed.

I would love for you to quote me complaining about camping and requesting it to be removed.

And it sure as hell can be removed.

Oh god - please, give me all the feedback you have on this, I would love to hear your unbiased way of getting rid of looping that doesn't harm survivors drastically, please, I need to hear this balanced nerf of yours.

Well, since you asked so nicely and not sarcastically at all...
Make killers and survivors hitbox the same.
Implement a noob tutorial on how to juke.
There are some nice YouTube videos for that.
How to mindgame, how to actually use the crouch key for something else than teabagging.

Yes, I have an idea - stop trying to dictate that Killers should not be allowed to kill Survivors and should instead play to farm points. Playing your role is not toxic and is not a problem. Killers are there to kill, period.

maybe i look for some more examples, but its enough at this time. As I said, cant take you serious anymore.

The problem is not the survivor looping around an obstacle over and over again, the problem is that the killer always is running behind him/her to get him and hang him.

with some more experience (you said you are new in the game) you will see that stopping a chase and go to next gen/weaker survivor will be more succesful. the palletlooper will ran into your weapon later. and even if not, you have two or three others sacrificed. just thinkl about this words. its not your "goal" to kill all 4. two or three are acceptable and bring you pips and bloodpoints as well.

The hell? So it’s the Killers fault and they should be punished for doing exactly what they are supposed to do?

Uhm... yeah... totally the killers fault.
Not like that other survivor who is doing the gen will also start looping. Or the survivor after that one...

Yes, i noticed that as survivor. It´s like a permanent terror radius which makes "mindgames" redundant.

Are you surprised ? Really ?

I mean they made it clear that killer's feedback were not welcomed from the get go.

"It's been only 3 hours, keep playing !"

Keep playing a lot, the feedback stay the same

"No that would be OP, you don't know how to play her still..."

Killer is released, nearly unchanged, the only little shadow tweaks (like her chanelling sound) favor the survivors, of course

"Lul deal with it, not every killer are meant to be viable, if i have fun (TM) facing her it's enought.
CYA next year for the potential Spirit's rework, we will still be there to lobby against it :p "

That´s also a way to "buff" Freddy. Create a killer who is weaker than him...

Survivors are already starting to scream about how OP she is, I'm just waiting for the Freddy V2.

I´ve played 8 matches since the patch. 7 against her, and i´m not really impressed. She´s not good during chases. Only her "mindgames" of just standing next to a pallet seems to catch some survivors offguard. But most of the time she got between 1 and 2 kills. That´s horrible.
BTW. 1 match was against the new Wraith, who wrecked us with a 4k with 4 gens still up.

I assume you are playing low ranks. On high ranks, I see the killer chasing someone, I do peacefully gens. No pressure, no alert, just holding m1 and pressing occasionally space.

This. I've had Survivors repair a generator right next to me while I was carrying one of them to the hook, because they know I can't do anything about it. Dropping the one I'm carrying takes too long, I can't hit them or they'll wiggle out, and with so many LOS blockers (Pale Rose map), they'd be gone by the time I actually hooked the one I had. It's yet another feature that puts the power in the Survivors' hands.

Ironically the game is more fun on low ranks. When survivors don´t really know what to do. I die way more often on low ranks than on high ranks. But it´s more fun. Since the game isn´t over in 4 minutes.

    That was rank 15.

We just had a rank reset. The first week after rank reset is still mixed up with high ranks.

The pallet looping is mind boggling. I'm fairly new to the game and wanted to know how long the looping has been like this. It provides for the most boring gameplay and I couldn't see any developer thinking that it was acceptable. Could you imagine watching a horror movie where the survivor ran in a circle over and over?

The higher the rank, the worse its gotten. In addition, what kind of chase is expected to last almost a minute?

I am not really sure what it is your are asking/telling us? The game does not have many mechanics to it. Survivors complete generators and try to escape from the killer when needed. There is nothing else to really do. So pallets and looping are part of the way really the only way that survivors can escape.

So in theory yes, I guess the devs programmed it that way. It has been that way since Day 1. It has gotten quite a bit better with new placements of pallets and closing off certain windows.

What OP is talking about is the difference of survivor and killer hit boxes. Killers are supposed to be faster than survivor, but because survivors can hug an obstacle closer than the killer, they force the killer to be slower during the loop.
This has been introduced in 1.4 IIRC.
A skilled survivor can loop the killer for 5 gens. Which wasn´t exactly what the devs had in mind, but since the devs play on yellow ranks, they don´t really see the problem.

  • No jump scare anymore. A survivor has to be deaf to continue to do gens when she spirit walks around him.
  • Ruin does buy you some time though. I usually get at least one hook before generators start popping. That itself can make it worth. You just have to protect it.
And @ZombieGenesis , I completely disagree with doing gens being a boring task. You have to be constantly alert: is someone hit? Do I hear a heartbeat? That hooked guy over there, should I go for the save or keep repairing? I say it's far from "doing nothing".
I assume you are playing low ranks. On high ranks, I see the killer chasing someone, I do peacefully gens. No pressure, no alert, just holding m1 and pressing occasionally space.
  • You do realize that they do apply after the trial/match is over right?

    BBQ - Posting:

A deep bond with The Entity unlocks potential in one's Aura reading ability. After hooking a Survivor, all other Survivors' Auras are revealed to you for 4 seconds when they are further than 52/46/40 metres from the Hook .

Each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time, gain a 15/20/25 % stackable Bonus to all Bloodpoint gains.
The Bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-trial.

Here is the survivors We're gonna live forever:

Your few friends deserve the best protection. Each time you rescue or take a hit to protect a Survivor, gain 25 % stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 50 %.

The Bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-trial.

Both very clearly state Post Trial. So where are you having issues?

Could you quote me on where I mention BBQ or WGLF? Because I didn't name them, but other perks that apply the bonus during the match, when it should be afterwards.
  • There's already a exploit?
  • 12 year old zombie boy with a sore throat.
    That's what she sounds like.
I've seen 5 threads about this issue. You're not alone.

Giving up a perk slot for that perk isn't worth the bloodpoints. BBQ is way better plus killers get more bloodpoints than survivors.

WGLF is superior to BBQ because it´s way easier to get WGLF stacks than BBQ stacks. If i have a good match i leave with 50.000+ BPs as survivor. Without any offerings.

You’re high as a kite if you think WGLF stacks are easier to get. It literally relies on teammates failure, while you being there and NOT the other 2; AND almost never doing gens. It’s a recipe for disaster. Meanwhile BBQ gives you stacks for just not being complete #########

Let's see, unhooking someone and getting hit next to the hook = 2 stacks.
That's clearly harder than hooking every survivor once.

    /S

I have to agree that BBQ stacks are much easier to get than WGLF stacks tho.

Not for me. I usually get 2 stacks on a camping killer unhook. That´s really easy money. I rush in with BT.

I get the 4 stacks of BBQ way more frequently especially if i played well in that game than the WGLF (and if they are camping i am probably going to go to the hook)

I'll admit that with WGLF you can get them twice as fast though.

I´m used to drop everything the moment a survivor gets downed. Unless i use my scavenger build (Ace in the Hole + Plunderers) i equip Empathy and try to position myself close to the survivor, before he gets downed.

I like My gennies personally. Especially if there are 4 survivors (including me) il let them save them if possible.

I just go in for points. Unhooking nets way more points than the gen.

Gen makes people survive and "win". Saving means usually death (or a pip or both)

Oh i also do gens. But my priority are saves. I often equip We´ll make it.

I love we'll make it too.

I don’t. People just run away!

Easy solution! Unhook in front of the killer. He´ll down them for trying to run away, then you can heal them.
    /S

“it’s not farming if you have BT!”

What a coincidence! I always equip BT for that exact reason.

its not easier considering most games i only get 1 or 2 stacks since no one gets downed or i get tunneled because i know how to flashlight save

Then you are doing it wrong.
I get my 4 stacks almost every match. Yeah i get downed, when the killer camps hard. But at least i´m going to get between 2 and 3 stacks from a single unhook.

This post is old AS [BAD WORD]. I’m pretty sure he didn’t even play survivor except for dailies back then

    Wait, what?

This post is like 6 months old. I used the necronomicon on it. Y’know back when you used the leatherface icon?

Now you totally lost me. The original post here is from august.
Could you please elaborate? Because right now i have no idea what you are talking about (but i remember that i used leatherface, thats correct)

Dates bugged due to a refresh I had to do back in August. I bumped the post.

Ok, I reread everything. But I still have the same opinion. WGLF stacks are pretty easy to get.

I really liked the effects during the PTB. It sounded like she´s suffering. Now the only one who´s suffering is the player :(

I haven't heard them yet. I'm waiting for my stream to make it a surprise.

Do you accept suggestions? Could you speak more during the stream? Panda talks non stop. I really like that. But you have to long pauses during the stream. Maybe it was because you played survivor. Don´t know, i have to see more.

Yes! She appeared to be suffering during the beta. But now it just sounds like a male zombie.
