Lovely how toxic people get because of a video game.

Maybe they finance the development of dedicated servers with those skins.witulo said:I'm not an expert on this matter as apparently most people are here, but like I said. Also, those are completely different departments. Someone who does skins, will never touch or even see the netcode. -
Yes, but Instead of nerfing SWF, they buff solo players and therefore also SWF.se05239 said:@Tsulan said:

I have 500+ hours in game, wdym “new player”? I’m currently sitting at rank seven as killer, and I got to rank one as Amanda last season, I’m not a new killer and I wasn’t saying it wasn’t harder back then, what I was saying is that the game can’t ever be balanced because the killer is supposed to be stronger than the survivors unless they work together.
The killer is stronger , the problem is people refuse to change play style or perk builds to accommodate what they need , they think they should be able to play how they want and not change a thing and still win every single time
Translation: killers only need to equip hangman's + iron grip + agitation to counter sabotage, lightborn and Franklin's for Flashlights, ruin + pop goes the weasel + overcharge against gen rush, enduring + brutal Strength + bamboozle to counter looping, and we haven't even started on the perks required to counter actual survivor perks...
Game has never been easier for both sides.
But survivors hold still the advantage, when the killer should be stronger. The main problem of the imbalance is SWF. The game was never intended for it. It brings too much power to the survivors.

When did they say that?
This, the game isn't really big enough to draw an esport crowd yet, at least not one where you'd get sponsors and such to make it worthwhile. They also have to finish the balance changes they want to do and realistically write the new code.
But that's a huge workload. -
The amount of disconnects stands in no correlation to the amount of lag switchers.
I've over 1000 hours and I can count the lag switchers I've seen on 1 hand.
Almost every match has people disconnecting, because there was no apparent punishment.
Also, the switch from peer 2 peer to dedicated servers is way more complicated than you think. It's probably not even possible, since it may be hardcoded. -

Yep. That's way the so-called Tournament actually exposed so much.
True and it will probably never happen again

Never say never. The developers want DbD to become an Esport.

Honestly, you should quit. You don't deserve to play as the killer if all you are going to do is whine and cry about how the defenseless survivors are bullying you.
And yes, many killer mains abandoned the game. The only reason survivors still find lobbies, is because there's a sale every month. Providing us with a steady flow of new killers that believe that they simply need to git gud. -
Let's stop it here. You don't see the issue, because you were not around, when the Haunted Grounds happened. Where some dev had the brilliant idea to "fix" Flashlights. Turning them into a guaranteed save.powerbats said:@Tsulan said:
Sure, it's the killers fault, when 4 survivors with toolboxes and sabotage, sabotage the already spread hooks. Killer can increase the 2 hooks by a whooping 1. Which still isn't a problem for longer lasting toolboxes.
It's not the bullies fault. Let's shame the victim.
Oh yes this excuse again, it's always the 4 man with tool boxes or the 4 man with flashlights, or the 4 man DS squad that's used as an excuse. I rarely saw at rank 1-2 4 man toolboxes and when I did only 1 of them was used on hooks, the rest were used exclusively on event gens.
When someone sabo'd an event hook and got hooked they got left till either they died or someone else got hooked. So what if killers can only increase 1 hook you're seriously going to try and use that as an argument after I showed how false it was already?
So somehow survivors are going to magically not put up any offerings for an entire 2 weeks of an event thereby forging their own chance at any cosmetics and or extra bp. Yeah no wonder killers are held in such contempt on these forums when you try and use logic like that.
Now before the trash starts flowing again I'm not ignoring the sabo issues but even if the sabo last longer so what, you're not going to just drop them and let them bleed on the ground till it respawns? There seems to be this huge victim and woe is me complex now that omg there's nothing i can do.
You can chase your chase orientations to get them to go closer to an event hook, you can punish those that sabo your event hooks. There's so much you as a killer can do yet it's I'm defeated before a single match has started syndrome again.
If you're all going to complain this much over something that not only hasn't happened but also might not you're just feeding all the trolls out there. They see stuff like this and now they're know they can trigger you by going after your hooks.
It might turn out bad but it might also turn out just fine, but the doom and gloom happens every patch and evey event yet the game seems to go on just fine. This is why those complaining the loudest on both sides can't ever be taken seriously.
Someone sabo's your stuff then tunnel and camp them as a lesson or mori them same as happened during the event. Most killers that brought mori's only used them on the jerks, tea baggers and event hook saboteurs. Most survivors if they had a sabo daily went out of their way to the furthest corners of the map away from event hooks to sabo.
When I had a savo daily i either dropped it during the event or I did exactly as above then dropped my toolbox in front of the killer to let them know. but if killers are jerks this time with no provocation then their event hooks get sabo'd. That's an unwritten rule since what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Just play the game and if people are jerks they're jerks and punish them accordingly and if not play regularly like usual. Besides it's 2 friggin weeks and it's a lot easier for you to get your tokens than it is for survivors.
Just to give you an example: 4x DS, 2 Flashlights and 2 toolboxes. I down a survivor, try to pick up, flashlight. Down him again, face a wall, pick up and try to reach the hook, get body blocked until he triggers his DS. Next time I reached the hook = sabotaged before my eyes. And when I finally reached the hook with no one sabotaging: survivor on my shoulder disconnected.
And that was during 1 match.
Yeah, it's possible to get those hooks. But survivors made it a nightmare for killers.
No one complained during BBQ event, because that one was ok. No mayor things had been changed for the event.
Oh and survivors got their event coins way easier than killers. They just had to be alive to get the coins. Others completed the event gens, while they were free to do what they wanted.
We'll see in a few days, who is right.
I really hope, that I'm wrong. -
Hex perks are worthless. Only use them if you have nothing else to equip.

The minimum distance of hooks has been increased to 24 meters. Now add, that there are only 2-7 hooks (depending on the offerings). Means, that most of the time, the killer will reach the hook just barely.
Survivors will run towards the zones, where no event hooks are. Body block, DS, sabotage, etc.

That´s the "just break the pallet" answer to looping.
Event hooks will be a minority. Means, that the hook won´t be usually the closest hook you´ll see. Now the minimum distance between hooks is 24 meters. So the killer will just barely reach the event hook, only to get body blocked and/or the hook sabotaged. If he drops the survivor, because he has hangmans, then the survivor will break free. Even IF the survivor doesn´t break free, he won´t just stay where you drop him until the hook respawns.
Mark my words. Killers will have a terrible event.
This is going to sound harsh because it is but it's also logic and facts hopefully putting a stop to all this victim nonese.
In other words no one's going to put up offerings so the poor killers will only get 2 hooks, is that what you're saying? I mean good grief talk about drama and woe is me victimhood here, I mean it's not like there wasn't offerings galore the 1st week of the BBQ event. Most killers had their weapon within the 1st few days and after that were just farming bp.
There was also quite a few wouldn't put any up and instead make sure survivors couldn't do only the special event gens. Just because they didn't want survivors who'd put up offerings to help get them theirs couldn't get some for themselves.
if killers have a bad event mark my words, it's their own fault for not putting offerings out there plain and simple. Since if they don't want to put offerings out there then they don't deserve to get their special hooks plain and simple.
When I did the BBQ event I made sure to put up offerings every match on both sides even if I already had what i needed. I still did it to help others get their tokens since I knew not everyone would've gotten it and in fact I've still got offerings in my inventory on both sides.
If you or any other killer doesn't get it then you've got no one to blame but yourselves so stop trying to play the victim here.

People even farm without WGLF. If just makes it more worthwile.
Camping is not a problem. Camping is just a secondary effect of killers not feeling like they have the power role. If killers were actually powerful, and survivors would have additional objectives instead of being able to repair all 5 gens in 3 minutes or less. Then there would be considerable less camping. -

BT makes unsafe unhooks safe. You haven´t seen how it was before it´s rework. Everyone used it, because both the unhooked and the unhooking survivor got protected by it.
That was much worse. -
It could be worse. David could farm you without BT.

If high ranks don't have campers, then what are you complaining about? Just enjoy the game.
Survivor emblems were so "hard" that most survivors wouldn't be able to rank up and killers on high ranks wouldn't find any lobbies to fill. It was so hard, because survivors refused to change their playstyle. Devs changed the requirements to pip, and now I save pip if I survive 2 minutes as survivor. Now the devs which said that camping is a feature from the beginning, which removed face camping (survivors still claim it exists), introduced BBQ to reduce camping (survivors hate it), introduced MYC (survivors hate it) and never wanted to punish camping. Suddenly punish it, because survivors complain all the time about this unfair mechanic. They complained so much, that survivors now are even immune to hits, right after unhooking.
But sure, killers will once again adapt their playstyle. Like they did so often. And survivors will find something else to complain about.
Just remember, that survivors complained about killers not needing to kill to rank up.
Since when was I complaining? There is not one complaint in any of my posts on this thread. Half my responses to these silly camper complaints is just to tell them to continue camping. Thanks for your input..?
Oh. Shame campers are now being "discouraged" from camping. (Since campers cared about pipping, right?) My condolences.
Again, as we've both agreed to, only low tier trash killers will need to "once again" adapt. I don't suppose you are in that group. But I can see it if that's why you are upset.
Are you responding to me or are you just ranting?
So "only low tier trash killers will camp" is something worthy of a response? Like discussion wise?
Sometimes camping is the only correct thing the killer can do.
Don´t believe me? What if 2 or 3 survivors are hooked in the basement or next to each other? Should the killer go to a random gen and patiently wait, until they have been unhooked?
Survivors screwed up. Killer gets punished for doing his job. Or do survivors get punished if they stay close to a almost finished gen? Of course not. It´s their objective. Just like the killers objective is to kill. -

That's what bloodwarden is for. I think making it happen passively when the killer gets close would remove the butt cheek clenching moments when someone's running to the exit gate with the killer hot on their tail. i think your missing what he is saying . hes talking about the tbagging survivors who sit at the gate doing nothing except waiting for the killer to show up so they can get a fast chase bonus . at that point in the game all perks are useless except noed and only if they are not hugging the exit itself like 99% that stay behind do . Nah, I get that, but it's also tricky. How do you make it punish people who are teabagging but not those that go to the gates to heal up before going back for a rescue or take a hit, for example? Or even someone just standing there so the killer can hit them for some free points? You could try to get some fancy teabag detecting technology in there, but that's more effort than it's worth and could also create some unwanted situations. (e.g. Survivor is running from the killer and is just barely going to get out, someone else was sitting there teabagging at the gate so now it's blocked.) If they're teabagging at the games, I'd just hit them. Takes a second, and then they either have to leave or they get hooked. Blood Warden needs a rework. It should be activated, when the killer presses a button. If survivors want to heal themselves up, to save someone else, then they should do it in an unsafe environment. Not at the gate, where even if they get downed, they escape.
Devs said, that pallets are not supposed to be save places. Why are the gates?
I won't comment on blood warden since I haven't played with it much, but I have seen it completely turn around games a couple times. I think making it on-demand would be a bit much.
If they're already in the gates, you basically lost. That's why it's safe. They powered the generators, opened the gate, and they are quite literally an inch away from winning. If you hit them, they either have to leave or they'll lose. I don't see any reason to give the killer kills in that situation because they really did not earn them.
It's a "no risk, high reward" situation. Survivor doesn't risks anything by staying at the gate and healing. But gains a lot if he goes back to unhook.
Survivor perks work on demand. Deliverance, Dead Hard, Lithe, Sprint Burst and Self Care.
I don't see what you're getting at with survivor perks being on-demand. You could say the same about killer perks. Pop Goes the Weasel is on-demand. So are Overcharge, Rancor, and Bamboozle by the same logic. Even then, Sprint Burst is not on-demand, it activates when you first sprint. The equivalent here would be if you could activate Sprint Burst whenever you want by pressing a button like Dead Hard. In any case, I don't want to see a "Yeah, you beat me, but I pressed a button so now I win." I don't want kills I didn't earn.
If a survivor does choose to leave the gate, they are taking a risk. If they stay there, they're safe. Leaving the gate is not risk free.
Not exactly on demand.
Anyway, senzu joined the conversation and I'm really to tired for this kind of discussion.
Btw, you might want to take a look at the survivor forum. Bots running rampage. -

Yeah I've been practicing my "Chasers" as I call them. Clown is good for cutting off rotations.
I don't understand why killers are being punished for camping. There is literally only one time camping is worth it. And that when you have someone on the hook when the last gen is done, or just after.
I stand by my previous point that there doesn't need to be TWO exits that take less then 30 seconds to open. (i don't know how long, but I just had one group open one in about that) And that they should probably have more then one door on the gate, making them open each.
2 or 3 survivors hooked in the basement or close to each other? Killer has every right to camp. Survivors ######### up and yet the killer gets punished in that situation. Since he should allow for free unhooks. -

If the devs want to punish camping (being one of the features announced since the beginning), then let them.
They'll find out soon enough, that it was a terrible idea. When survivors on high ranks can't find lobbies, since ranking up as survivor is brain dead easy.
Oh yes, high rank killers, who almost never camp to begin with, will suddenly all drop rank because of this trivial change. What a tragedy.
"devs look, I camped with Nurse every game and depipped down to 15, this is ur fault #deadqueue Xddddd"
You make your jokes. But sometimes the killer has no other choice than to camp.
They won't be depipping from it unless they want to.
Just camp and depip all you want. It'll mean HR will be less of a cesspool, and survivors will finally have a reason to pip up. Campers will have an excuse to camp and bully newbies and smurfs. Win win.
Do you REALLY think that high ranks will play ANY different?
No. You were the one implying this in your first post. Let me refresh your memory:

And if protesting edgelords want to camp at HR (which they are probably not in to begin with), then they'll drop down to the cesspool where they belong.
Please don't put words into my mouth.

It's not a matter of making it less effective, it's a matter of providing incentive to leave the hook. At the moment, chases are the real big spender in terms of killer resources and a hook save can completely nullify your investment. Therefore, there is nothing to gain from ignoring the hook and protecting the gens. They have been nerfing chase for the last five patches. If you still do not see the benefit of leaving the hook, then it speaks for your skill as a player, not the design of the game.
The devs have been very kind for not directly touching camping as a whole.

I feel like a lot of killers tend to take the easy way and when they’re taking a survivor to ththe basement they go off the side and jump down but since they have perfect balanced landing they can keep on walking and get to the hook faster and I hate it when you get right there at the point where it’s like 99% complete struggling and you’re like damn if they didn’t take the easy way around I wouldn’t gotten away. I don’t think killers should be able to just have everything handed to them like with the camping that’s basically getting an insta kill but like they’re just standing there doing nothing and somehow that gets them points survivors can’t jus stand there and do nothing and magically get points or magically get a gen done no they HAVE to work to survive so why don’t killers have to work to get a kill? Camping is already being punished soon so I’m not worrying about that but realistically if you’re carrying someone on your shoulders and you jump off of a cliff you aren’t gonna jus land perfectly you’re gonna end up dropping them so I think that if a killer is a carrying a survivor and they try to cheat by literally jumping to the hook jus so survs can’t get away that they should drop them or at least have a stumble affect cause not only is that unfair but it’s also unrealistic asfGetting survivors to the basement isn´t exactly the easy way. That´s like doing the gen in the middle of the map, while the killer roams.
Killers don´t get anything handed. Survivors do. You can escape without even touching a gen, unhooking a survivor or being chased. They don´t have to do anything.
Killer had to work for that kill. He tracked you down, chased you, downed you, carried you to the hook.
A 50 kg Claudette can body block a killer who tripples her weight. Talking about realism... -
So... they are working as intended.

The same can be said about killers going against survivors in red ranks. looping, Flashlights, Toxic Plays. It goes both ways not just one. Looping it's part of the game lol you can't complain about it i mean ######### dude. Red ranks plays like reaching rank 1 was the greatest trophy in the world (but no, it's only a trophy on steam). Flashlight helps you for saves. Toxic plays? What do you mean? Looping was NEVER an intented game mechanic. Camping was, Mori was. Yet only the later got nerfed into the ground.
I think looping should expose the survivor and decrease their movement speed for every loop, bring back insta mori the first down as well , these damn survivors are so entitled and think they are the only ones in the game
Nice try, vietfox.
vietfox? No but nice try , I’m actually on your side believe it or not and we’ve played together before , you’re actually pretty good at the game I’m gonna vote all your comments to awesome to show my support , I seriously doubt vietfox would show you any support I just think there needs to be more killer mains on here and I saw the bars on your name and saw a few other people change their name to show support for barred members unjustly so I was doing the same , sorry bud I’ll change my name if you’d like
Actually I just tried to change it and I cant dang I didn’t realize that’s how it worked I’m fairly new sorry @RSB
So what's your real name? And when have we played?
So... how is this multiple personality thing working out for you?

Shape shifting or mindfucks. Not being able to trust other survivors.Would be awesome, but sadly SWF and voicecomms are a thing
Doctor would sometimes appear as a survivor with terror radius.
Other survivors would sometimes appear as killer to other survivors. Including terror radius.
Illusions would move towards the survivors and try to hit them.
Windows would appear open when they are closed and closed when they are open.
Etc.
