I want the dodging to happen during the lobby phase. Not during the match. I have 1 in 10 matches where nobody disconnects.Peanits said:To play Devil's advocate, I can see that causing a lot of dodging on both sides. Don't like the nurse? Dodge. Don't like hillbilly? Dodge. Don't like DS? Dodge. And in the end, there's not a whole lot you can do there anyway. Even if you don't like to play against the nurse you can't just put on your nurse-stopper perk. DS won't go away because you swapped a perk.
At the same time, it would make it possible to hard counter a lot of things. If you're playing the wraith, you're going to have a wild time getting lightburned the whole match. Or if you play trapper, have fun with the saboteurs. Or any stealth killers for that matter, there goes that first surprise attack. Everyone's expecting it.
Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but I can see it doing more harm than good.
The disconnects hurt both sides.

Okay I guess...My_Dude said:No.
Once you get out of Rank 15 kid you'll understand why.

Element of surprise usually holds 10 seconds on high ranks. Then the survivors hear the first blink of a nurse or Billy's chainsaw.KingSavageGaming said:
Well allowing the survivors to see the killer just give a middle finger to the element of surprise.Tsulan said:So, why not change the lobby to allow last second adjustments. Let´s say 15 seconds before the match starts, the survivors can see which killer they face and adjust 1 perk for that killer.
And the killer can see 2 perks on survivors, which he chose beforehand. For example, if he says he wants to see if survivors have DS and SB, he would see those survivors highlighted (but can not see which other perks they have, or if they have both perks or only one)This would reduce our beloved last second switches and ragequits at the start of the match.
What do you think?
-
You lose mere seconds in a lobby dodge. But you can lose the whole match, if someone disconnects during that match.

Whats worse. Lobby dodging or in game disconnects?

And like I said there are plenty of videos out there humiliating bad or inexperienced killers. Noob3 made a name off it.IF SOMETHING WORKS AGAINST BAD OR INEXPERIENCED PLAYERS THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT AN EXPLOIT
That´s why we need a harder ranking system. Where reaching rank 1 actually means something. Which does not reset every month. The devs could gather information on what´s op and what not. Instead of basing their balance decisions around rank 20 players with less than 10 hours.

The survivors get locked in and can't last second swap to brighter clothes/ all P3, items etc the killer has time to adjust if they need to. This way lobby dodging by killers because someone on the survivor side want so be cheesy is reduced.
Lobby times go smoother, everyone knows there's no hanky panky going to happen games start=profit.
And what about the ones who simply just leave for any item? You don’t find that cheesy? , I don’t blame them a bit when you’ve been dodged 10 times in a row and that’s the only way to get a game and bring an item if that’s what you want, I’m just pointing out that if a survivor wants to bring an intended item into the game they can’t majority of the time so that’s the only way they can truly get use out of the items they spent bloodpoints for unless you punish the lobby dodgers, the killer shouldn’t be allowed to dictate who they face or what type of game they are about to have by cherry picking noobs with low trophies and no items.
@OrionsFury4789
Pretty much this, yup.
Killer who tends to lobbydodge: "ok, looks like they are solo players now, let's ready up... Wait, 2 flashlights? LEAVE.
When i'm playing with friends and we are lucky enough to not get dodged killer usually equips an ebony mori instead, i find it hilarious 😂I´ve had matches where 4 survivors all last second switched to 4 flashlights. Then the match didn´t went as they expected and they all disconnected.
The change could reduce that.

Thats no personal bias vs logic. I played both sides to rank 1 several times. Played almost exclusivly survivor for 2 months prior to the last event. Survivors killed me more than killers did. Or insulted more. Even before the match started.
Sure, survivors are more. But that´s not an excuse for how toxic survivor mains can be.

It would pair quite well with a buffed version of surveillance. But again, way off on the direction that a perk called surveillance should be.
Now think again. How do you get use of this perk? It's through surveilling a generator. You, the actual you, in order to strike a survivor who dares to touch it.
My suggestion is all about surveillance. The picture fits it even more perfectly since you're actually surveilling it rather then having any type of notification or aura reading while you are all the way in the desert;
close observation, especially of a suspected spy or criminal.
Where-as the old surveillance is just aura reading and has nothing to do with surveilling, my suggestion does the opposite and makes it about actual surveilling and makes it an even more suitable perk for the type of killers to whom it would be appropriate to use:

Yeah, on 3 gen doc it would be too strong.
But its better than the current state. If the doc manages to pull a 3 gen, then the survivors failed hard.
if the killer want use the 3 gen tactic, he can do it.

Neither are exploits. Both are just ways to play the game, which the devs haven´t thought about.
Both can be countered.
BTW, nice survivor bias. Calling killer things exploits and survivor things easily counterable.
Nice bias really, is that all you can come up with? The devs have said it's not an intended game mechanic and it CAN'T BE COUNTERED. The 460 is also not an intended game mechanic but IT CAN BE COUNTERED.
Now see the difference both unintended game mechanics, 1 is counterable one isn't thus the one that isn't is an exploit.. Don't you just love logic, it can be your friend if you let it be. 😜
Oh and as I've stated many a time I've been killer these last few months and also I've been defending killers for quite some time like NOED and DH. You know telling people that want them removed to cleanse the totems?

DW timer shouldn't go down if you are in a chase OR in the killer's TR. Then this wouldn't be possible. That said I don't think it's really the optimal way to play the killer and I believe that after some time counter play will emerge, especially if a lot of Legions are doing it. I've seen this many times before, a game comes out or something new is added, someone finds a way to cheese it, everyone cries "BROKEN", 6 months later no one does it because counter play was discovered. Sometimes this stuff takes time. You could have 5k hours and be the best DBD player in the world, doesn't mean you will immediately figure out new features. Come back in like 3 months to see if it's still a problem.
Also the video posted was green ranks, those survivors didn't seem very good.
It will probably get "fixed" by a patch. Not an exploit, but the devs already called it a dumb thing to do. Sooo i imagine that they´ll do something about it. After the holidays.
But i´m curious about the statistics. Since thats the only way to play Legion on a lethal lvl. Those stats would show that he´s in a pretty good spot and therefore only requires the removal of the moonwalk. -

It's not about depending on Bloodlust, its the fact that you can lose bloodlust when you are right behind them thats just dumb as f. you would absolutely need bloodlust on extremely loopable spots btw
Well unless you lose los you won't lose bloodlust and losing los is the only thing survivors can really do to keep a killer from just nailing them. I would like to see some slight tweaks on bloodlust though perhaps the longer you've maintained it ie stage 2 it takes longer to decay.
This is wrong btw. Bloodlust has been bugged like forever. I can chase someone around a single car on autohaven and lose Bloodlust.
But i think Bloodlust should be completely removed. It was a bandaid to solve the looping issue. But it´s doing a poor job. Non looping survivors get punished and looping survivors don´t get affected by it.

No I didn't. MLGA is not an ingame feature, it is a program and survivors don't have access to that program all the time like killers can dodge. We are talking about an ingame feature, if survivors use MLGA all the time, might as well introduce the ingame block.
Yes as if killers don't dodge lobbies when they see p3 claudettes, flashlights, toolboxes, too many jakes, bright colored cosmetics. I have heard all of these excuses from forum killers. There's a difference.
As a killer it's your job to check gens and don't let survivors do all of them so you can kill them all.
As a survivor your job is to finish the gens and escape, meaning that it's not their main priority to run towards the killer and get some Bold bps.
If survivors "genrush" it's because killer is giving them the chance to do it.

A buff? That perk is really strong already.
I've managed to get 4K without a single gen being done quite a few times.

Especially if someone other than Jeff is running Distortion. Oh yeah, my bad, I forgot camping is a legit strategy If running around in circles is a legit strategy then yall have no room to criticize camping. I abhor 360, but if you are talking about looping that's on you. 360=garbage strat abusing mechanics looping is using mind games and perks to escape. @purebalance
Lmao 360 = garbage? Learn to aim/counter it Stop abusing broken mechanics. On console it's not the same as PC where you can aim as well. You're trash if you need to resort to 360. @purebalance
Oh excuse me, i'll run in a straight line from now on so you don't feel bad and can get an easy kill instead of working for it

I'll do something better than running in a straight line! I just won't move at all!

So if someone 1000x stronger than you was chasing you in real life you'd run at them? A swing/stab should hit when you run into a killer's hitbox. It's abuse of mechanics. Learn to evade without using broken mechanics. One of the times I DO camp is when shitters want to 360. They deserve a ######### playstyle used on them as well.
@purebalance
Do i really need to tell u the difference between games and real life?
If you wanna be that realistic then tell me why survivors can't jump over traps.
U get rekt by 360s and instead of getting better at this game you rather complain about them and call them trash tactics.Replace "360s" with "camping," and we can ride this irony train straight to Emerald Ranch!
Sure, you compared before camping with the hatch, now do the same with 360s. That makes so much sense (not killer biased at all)
I play often as a killer but i would like to get some opinions from reasonable killer mains like @PhantomMask20763 @George_Soros and @powerbats (who has been maining killer lately)
Sorry for tagging you guys btw.
Lol, just to confirm what i was saying.
I play as a killer quite often but still people seem to not believe me.
Tell me, do you really think 360s are a broken mechanic? -
My killer build is: fire up, third seal, monstrous shrine and surveillance.
Sometimes I switch a perk with spies or PWYF. -
Camping isn't fun. It's not fun for the survivor, it's not fun for the killer. But neither are looping, DS, Flashlights, or completing all gens in 3 minutes.Redd said:Personally, when I play killer, I always run BBQ and Chili because of the BP bonus. I'm not running it for the aura, but that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore it when making gameplay decisions.
If I see 3 auras in the distance, I assume it's a bad idea to camp. If I don't see ANY auras, I assume it's a great idea to camp. Anything in between is a value proposition based on who I can see, how altruistic the survivors have been so far in that game, how badly I need to get a kill to try and slow the game down, ;how fast my particular killer can cross the map (I almost always leave the hook as Hillbilly or Nurse for example if i see ANY auras), etc.
If all 3 of the other survivors are hiding behind a gen or in a lock, well then it sucks to be me and it sucks to be the person on the hook. That is not the LIKELY reason I'm not seeing any auras, so I'm going to rely on the more likely assumption that someone is within 40m waiting for me to leave, so I should start looking for them. That occupies 2-3 survivors instead of giving a free unhook. I
Camping is not fun for the person on the hook, but BHVR needs to balance their game already. My personal philosophy on this issue, even when I'm the survivor being camped (which I play roughly 50/50 so I frequently am lol), is "Don't hate the player. Hate the game!" This is something they should have fixed a long time ago, instead of doing all these band-aid fixes that never really work.
But only camping gets so much hate. -
Yeah this imaginary scenario almost got introduced, when the devs thought about giving survivors permanent kindred.brokedownpalace said:This is the magical gen rush scenario that everyone recommends against camping killers but probably only happens 1 out of 100 games:
- Killer hooks first survivor and immediately begins camping
- All of the 3 other survivors telepathically know the killer is camping and immediately get to work on 3 separate gens
- The hooked survivor is perfectly content to spend the full 2 minutes on the hook without attempting escape or suiciding
- The survivors have no desire to challenge the camping killer and attempt saves or make distractions
- The killer doesn't have Ruin (LOL) or if he does it was cleansed or the survivors consistently hit great skill checks
- In the first 80 seconds 3 gens pop. With only 2 gens left the survivors work together to complete them before or shortly after the hooked survivor dies
- The kind of killer that camps upon first hook and every hook thereafter isn't carrying NOED (LOL) and/or is unable to down another survivor
- The survivors are able to open one or both exit gates and all 3 escape
- The killer depips and all 3 escaping survivors who hardly or never interacted with the killer or got any altruism points are miraculously able to pip and not earn an abysmal amount of BP
CAMPING COUNTERED. (Not everyone is a 4 man SWF squad who is interested in a boring ass game like the one above) -

So this counts for both sides.
That's why you got perks like PGTW, it works so damn well on killers with less map pressure.

if you hate BT THAT much, then why not run counters for it? Or maybe just countering it?
Borrowed time activates in the terror radius, run perks that affect this or just get away from the hook.
Just wait out the 15 seconds endurance or just hit them twice.
Not to mention it literally just got nerfed...
It got buffed tho...
So you call decreasing the timer by 5 seconds on each level a buff?
