I'm still convinced that they planned to set it to 160 seconds, but a typo turned it into 16 and nobody noticed.

if you hate BT THAT much, then why not run counters for it? Or maybe just countering it?
Borrowed time activates in the terror radius, run perks that affect this or just get away from the hook.
Just wait out the 15 seconds endurance or just hit them twice.
Not to mention it literally just got nerfed... -

Maybe once we get dedicated servers.
Problem with making piping harder is, that no one would reach high ranks and players would have to wait ages for a match.
This happened when they introduced the emblems. Survivor was to difficult to pip (because most don't deserve to be high rank) and killers had extremely long queues.
Devs had to make piping easier. -
Ok, so you recognize, that it would be bad for balance, but still want it changed. Because it would be more fun without...

BHVR can decide which files are getting checked by EAC and which not. Same with the ini files. They can give EAC a rule NOT to check folder XY (ideally the direct folder to the UI stuff) and everyone would be fine. Simple as that. Same is with some other games where u can change UI and even install whole mods for even more than that.
You realize the paperwork to make an exception for a anti cheat program would be huge? All because you don't like the color of an icon.
I mean, why should they even bother spend workforce on this? There are really more pressing issues. But the color of an icon?
For real? That looks like one of the most useless requests in history.
Something like: "hello steam? Yeah, I'm calling from behavior. Yes, us again. Yeah, could you change your anti cheat engine, so 1 of our players can change the color of his icons, please? No, this is not a joke... hello? Hello???" -
Something to show the appreciation of the other person? Like a middle finger.

I understand that but by depiping for faster queue times, you're also going against less experienced survivors which in turn, ruins their experience. Yes, I know you have good intentions but you're doing damage to the players who just want a fair game.
"Please don't lecture me on gitting gud. Since I reached rank 1 almost every season. I even reached it as Freddy. So it's not a skill thing."
Your thread title states, "Who started to camp more?" And your OP says, "After the recent BBQ nerf. Just curious." Knowing this, if you are camping because of the BBQ nerf then you are definitely not rank 1 or at least, you're boosted. I don't mean this to be rude but camping over a BBQ nerf (something that helps with tracking survivors) shows you're severely lacking as a killer with tracking survivors. There are other perks such as Discordence, Bitter Murmur, Rancor, and etc can compensate for the lack of tracking that you're severely lacking.
"I'd rather play instant matches in a unranked mode. But there is no such thing. So I have to limit my capabilities to kill, so I can get matches faster and at least play with the limited time I have."
Play survivor? Usually if you're not getting matches as a killer, that means there are too many killer's in queue. Besides, I thought survivor was easy according to what you say so there should be no problem there.
"I'm not destroying noob players. I'm sitting on rank 12 after the rank reset. I try not to kill them, but hook as often as possible and then let them go. If that's a omegablink nurse for you..."
If this is your honest word then fine, have fun with handicapping yourself. Eventually you'll get bored with the inexperienced survivors and will want to actually have a balanced game where both sides have the same experience. Nevertheless, even with playing fair, you're still not giving the survivors a fair chance because you're just simply more experienced then them. You know the mind games and how to handle chases, they don't know much meaning you're gonna destroy them regardless how fair you play.
Overall, this excuse of BBQ nerf is the reason I camp is so immature. If you're gonna depip due to camping to compensate for the nerf as you'll get less prowess survivors then you're acting very frivolous about the situation.
I started playing 2 years ago. When there were no tracking perks. So I have a pretty good idea on where to search survivors.
I repeat, I usually don't camp but I want to know who started to camp more.

Problem is, that at least I'm playing for points. I don't care for kills or pips. I just want to get as many points as possible. BBQ doubles them. That's a huge incentive to hook everyone once. Nope, still about the same amount before the nerf. Kind of sad if killers really need it when there are other builds to use.

I'm not going out of my way to derank. I currently have very little time to play. Like 30 minutes at most. Can't wait in the lobby for that time. So after the reset I don't really try to kill. It explains, quite clearly, the type of player you are and really discredits any kind of point you try to make when it's clear you would rather just play easy mode at the expense of anyone else's ability to be able to enjoy the same game, regardless of balance.
as you've said, "why should they care for you, you sure as hell don't care for them".... the major difference here is that YOU are going out of your way to get into lower ranks and ruin their fun... while they are just trying to play the game.
For example, I hooked a guy twice and when he was on his third hook I carried him to the basement and dropped him in front of the hook. If that's not a clear sign of "I don't want to kill" then I don't know what is. Wanna know what my reward was? "gg ez" from that exact player.
But please keep explaining to me how I am ruining the experience for them. -

Only problem with your logic is, that killers have to step up their game. While survivors just get everything effortlessly handed out.
Actually if the killers good the survivors have to step up their game since each game is different and if survivors just get everything effortlessly why are survivors getting nerfs instead of buffs that let them insta repair gens?
Can't hide behind a gen from BBQ? Devs got you covered.
So I'd have to run a perk that only works 3x, but if the devs got me covered how come the killer can still see me after those 3x are used? Oh i'll just hide in a locker, oh wait if the killer is running Iron Maiden I'm getting seen.
So where is the line? When comes the point where killers say no more?
I must have been pulling a Rip Van Winkle the last 8 months of killer buffs and only dreamt the cow tree got tweak, the exhaustion nerfs, the healing nerfs, the pallet removals, the maps being changed up.
I'm terrible at looping. But I still manage to loop killers for 3 gens. It's not like it's hard to begin with.
I'm terrible at looping as well but If I can loop a killer for multiple gens that means not only is the killer playing badly but that they were doing horribly so. IT could've been a baby killer doing their daily or someone playing a friends killer.
The bottom line is that's the killers fault for getting tunnel vision and not breaking off the chase and is no different than a survivor constantly going back to the same gen. This despite knowing the killer is watching that gen but ignoring one someplace else that's easier and better to do.
When you catch a survivor playing badly do you blame yourself or the devs for you catching them because they played badly? The simple answer is no because you know they were playing badly and thus deserved to get downed.
The same is true for a killer allowing themselves to get looped for that long, they either need to get better aka git gud or they can break the chase.

So killers body blocking the hook was bad and unfair. But survivors body blocking the hook is good and fair.powerbats said:@Tsulan said:
Survivors will keep asking for BBQ nerfs and because killers just keep on playing normal, they'll get more nerfs.
Face camping was removed with the introduction of swivel hooks. Survivors kept calling it face camping and the devs penalized staying close to the hook.
Survivors still complain about face camping. So what it's gonna be the next time? No hook progress when the killer is close? I've seen enough survivors asking for it. Yes it was tested and abused. But the devs will give in. They always do.Yes lets keep up with the histrionics ehre that it's always the devs giving in and not making qol changes here. If it changes something for killers it's giving into survivors whining. If it changes something for survivors it's devs giving into survivors whining.
This is what I've been talking about making excuses both sides or conspiracy theories on both sides since everything is being done to screw their side over.
when killers could body block and prevent any type of unhook from happening it needed to be changed and you know it. Yet you blame survivors for whining about it instead of killers abusing a game mechanic. When Sabo squads could rob the killer of every hook on the map killers like you complained about it.
So the devs made a qol change on sabo but if we use your logic the devs CAVED into killers complaining and not making a qol change.
The hard camping around the hook needed to be changed to incentivize moving away from the hook, you got BBQ as such a thing and now your whining about being penalized. Well lets see you only get penalized on chaser emblem and only after a duration that to really hurt takes a while of camping.
For most killers it's not a big deal yet here you are blaming survivors for the few killers that camp because they're either jerks or they have no skill. Down someone at 5 gens and cmap them and then complain about gen rush.
So seriously just stop with the histrionics it makes you look foolish and you know for a FACT they won't stop hook progress just because someone's close. It's like you and the tiny minority on both sides have to constantly make excuses and drama and play the victim.
I don't see @Orion or @SovererignKing or quite a few of the others being drama queens on the killer side nor are they dropping conspiracy theories left and right or playing the victim. The games improved by leaps and and bounds but somehow it's magically still impossible for killers according to some on here.
Got it!
It took the devs 1 week to nerf Freddy. But it takes them over a year to buff him.
DS nerf was mentioned half a year ago and we still have no ETA.
Bloodlust was supposed to activate faster to compensate for the speed nerf. But they only nerfed the speed to make chases more fun. -
Slugging has been nerfed. Sabotage has been buffed. Now, no one sabotages because no big streamer has started doing it.Michiko said:

If you don't see an aura, there is supposed to be a survivor near.
With distortion, and lockers blocking BBQ, killers will likely get false results.Kinda unfair to blame the killer for that.
Especially if someone other than Jeff is running Distortion. So when killers didn't see an aura before the changes they assumed that either someone was really close or behind a gen.
So now some are just using this as an excuse to camp when nothing's really changed since for all you know they could be behind a gen or really close still.
As a killer it hasn't affected me a bit, I still check nearby if I don't see anyone then go off on my normal patrol routine. If anything this just makes some of the reckless survivors even more so since they think they're safer and unsafe unhooks are more common.
Throw in M&A and go off on patrol and laugh when they unhook right after you've left the hook, go back and find the unhooker and take them to town.
I've watched people with the new perks play stupidly because they think they're safer and they rush in for an unhook and the killer has barely had time to leave.

Not like looping is difficult or the killer is the only one under pressure here.Yes lets act like every survivor is a pro looper which we all know isn't the case at all just as not every swf isn't a depip level swat team. The chances that 2 ore more survivors are pro loopers in a match are pretty slim.
To be able to loop efficiently constantly and know when to go to another spot isn't that widespread despite the misconceptions that it is. The bottom line is if you're getting looped for 5 gens that's your fault as a killer for chasing someone that long.
You and everyone else needs to stop making excuses for bad plays, if the killer lets themselves get looped that long ti's their fault. If the survivor runs in a straight line and or drops pallets to soon it's their fault, not the killers.
If the killer is camping and the survivors keep going for unhooks and rewarding the killer it's the survivors fault not the killers.

He plays SWF. He's on coms. Just 99% the hooks and break them when the killer arrives?Blaque_magik87 said:Tsulan, duh me and my buds try and leave hooks at 99% but it still doesnt really matter. We get NOTHING from sabatoging hooks.. its not worth the waste of time, and thats not a fix. Its need to be fixed.. well honestly irdc anymore.. im off this crap for good pretty soon.what kind of question is that HaVe yOu TrIeD SAbAtOgIng ThE hOoKs?
I mean... hello? It's not rocket science.
Playing solo, there's no point to sabotage. But SWF? -
Let's see.
Killer has useless abilities? Check
Killer has useless perks? Check
Survivor has useless perks? Check
Having to spend 20$ to get all 4 versions of the killer, after purchasing the dlc? Check
BBQ nerf? Check
But the new survivor has a cool skin. Check
Yeah I give it 1 point for that skin. -
Yeah, let's break that chase in the hope that the next survivor doesn't know how to loop. If he does, you'll just break the chase again and so on.powerbats said:@Tsulan said:
Never claimed that killer is harder. But the game is terribly unbalanced towards survivors. A survivor shouldn't be able to loop a killer for 5 gens. But they are.
If a killer is getting looped for 5 gens that's not the survivors fault nor does it mean the game is unbalanced in the survivors favor.
That's all on the killer allowing themselves to be looped for 5 gens and not breaking off the chase, cutting the corners better or not taking the bait.
It's like the Kenny Rodgers song from the "Gambler", You've got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away.
Not like looping is difficult or the killer is the only one under pressure here. -
Not a poor excuse. If I can't see any auras, I have to assume that the survivors are close by.Vietfox said:
That's a poor excuse. You would have a point if killers weren't aware of the changes, but since that's not the case everyone knows that not seeig auras doesnt mean the other survivors are close to the hook. If a killer decides to camp for that reason it's because:Tsulan said:After the recent BBQ nerf.
Out of curiosity.
A ) ignores the new game mechanics
B ) doesn't give a damn about bps
When i play as a killer i couldn't care less about survivors being close to the hook. The more time i spend looking for them the more time i'm giving them to finish the gens.
PS: true campers were camping even with the old bbq anyway. -
It's not about the money.purebalance said:@Tsulan said:
Attackfrog said:I usually have a reason for camping. So far the BBQ change hasn't really affected it. I do it when it's necessary and don't when it's not.
But have no fear! No matter how I play, even when I don't camp, I will get called a camper post game in about a third of the games I play
But that's normal. I usually don't camp. But still get called out for camping.
Then I see them again and suddenly I feel the urge...idk why you would. Camping typically hurts only 2 people: the survivor on the hook and you. Meanwhile you give the other 3 a boon.
It's about sending a message. -
Have you tried to sabotage the hooks?
-
Well they lowered the requirements to pip, because not everyone could hold to those standards. Go figure.ScottJund said:@Tsulan said:

@Tsulan said: SK92 said: This is really getting much boring .. buff legion buff legion buff legion New killer is fine.. not op and not weak The fact that survivors should adapt and change playstyle depending on the killer they're up against, the same here for killers You gotta know what can this killer do and where's the weaknesses and go from there You can't use him exactly as any other killer If you think this killer is not good for you, simply change killer that you might be good/ skilled with (not everyone can use Nurse or Huntress properly) This killer is really ANNOYING and people want him to have 115% movement speed ? Oh pls .. ez 4k every game ? Look at spirit where people asked for buff and now she's even better than hillbilly with just 110% .. going against decent spirit is really boring now Also same for Freddy and Wraith .. they're not weak They're good in the right hands You forgot several buffs the Spirit got.
Buffs the community asked for from the beginning.
You say Freddy is strong in the right hands. I assume you played him to rank 1, yes?
Not the same guy but I have, multiple times. Last season after rank reset I got to rank 1 playing exclusively Freddy, without perks or add-ons. If you think Freddy is bad then you are just too incompetent to play him correctly.
I was asking the other guy, don´t know why you feel offended and start to insult.
Oh btw, i DID reach rank 1 with him, playing him perkless.
Why do people brag about rank? I hear countless people saying it doesn't matter but I also hear people say it does matter. Which one is it?
Rank 20 players say killer is op.
Do I need to say more?I mean yeah sure, rank 20 is where the newer players are at. However, what makes rank 1 special?
Reaching a certain rank on both sides, usually gives players a better perspective.
If someone only plays one side, and rarely plays the other side, especially on rank 20. That person might have a distorted view of the games balance. But a braindead monkey can get to rank 1 in this game, so what does that matter?
But now, if people can't even reach that rank... -

I mean, take away the BP bonus and BBQ is as worthless as Monstrous shrine.Speshul_Kitten said:Who still uses BBQ for any reason other than BP?? -

I'm a dev?! Cool! No, but I only know, like, three dev accounts. I also wanted to get the players' support on this.
I once had the idea, that every survivor should have a unique bonus or power. And that there wouldn't be more than 1 survivor of that kind allowed.
But since everyone mains claudette... -
I like killer stories.BigBubs said:Wow another copy pasted killer story time?!
Survivor stories usually revolve around "I looped that guy for 5 gens, and then he dared to camp me!" -
I'm a dev?! Cool!
I think gas tanks and parts to repair would fit nicely. -
I usually camp, when they beg for my undivided attention. Why else would they teabag and clicky clicky?Rebel_Raven said:
If it didn't work, people wouldn't do it.JanTheMan said:
Oh yeah, my bad, I forgot camping is a legit strategyRebel_Raven said:
You are aware that the mechanics of BBQ, right?JanTheMan said:Aw, so this is the new excuse.
If you don't see an aura, there is supposed to be a survivor near.
With distortion, and lockers blocking BBQ, killers will likely get false results.
Kinda unfair to blame the killer for that.
Especially if someone other than Jeff is running Distortion.
I'm not going to pretend it's great, or fun, or anything.
I mean on one hand as a survivor, I'm either "aw, man. Why?" Or "lawl. Ok, I deserved that. Hope i distracted the killer enough. " or some such.
As a killer, I'm usually "damn, end game is here," or "fine, you want to be an annoying distraction? Well, here you are."
So I give them what they asked for. Maybe I misunderstood... -
Well, to you it looks fluent. Because you are the host.deadbybugexploit said:i never lag as killer.

Please remember, that survivors asked for this.BigBubs said:@JanTheMan said:
Aw, so this is the new excuse. What did you expect?
And the funny thing is almost every killer here was saying they use it "ONLY FOR BP" lol
Jokes on you. -
They expected that you let them farm.
Ironically, most killers stopped farming in this situation. Because they got insulted and reported after the match. -
Yeah, but apparently that wasn't enough.DwightsLifeMatters said:
But u know that u can counter BBQ&C by standing behind a gen aswell right?Rebel_Raven said:
