@Aven_Fallen of course it matters if the killer got bullied before. If survivors are toxic during the match, I'll treat them the same way.
I always wiggle and sometimes I get out, simply because there might not be any hooks left in the area.
Was the killer a dick? Maybe, maybe not. We don't have the whole picture here.
I'm usually a really nice killer and even let survivors farm if 2 disconnect at the start. But believe it or not, I got reported and insulted for doing exactly that. I also got reported and insulted for not letting them farm in this situation.
My point is, that people usually don't see their wrongdoing, but only the other people's wrongdoing. Or they genuinely lie.

After letting all the survivors go, I got a message from one telling me I was toxic for camping the gens.
@TragicSolitude 2 disconnected right at the start of the match. So I decided to let the other 2 farm and escape: "Haha baby killer, gg eeeeezzzz"
-
Would you... you know... prefer it if they removed the hatch?
-
@Aven_Fallen we kinda only have one version. No video proof or screenshots. Just a survivor claiming that the killer was bullying him. We don't know if the killer was really behaving like this or even if the survivors bullied the killer before.
But not wiggling while being carried over the whole map, because he thought the killer would give him the hatch is... pretentious, to say the least.
-
I think sound was a fix.
-
@ygnea killer has to hook everyone once in order to get all 4 BBQ stacks. If someone disconnects before you get him hooked, it's absolutely impossible to get that stack.
Survivors can get multiple stacks from the same survivor.

Is it? Some killers carry BBQ to see if there are survivors around to worry about that could endanger their kill xD
Let alone the fact that killers sometimes go for the unhooked person (and then complain about DS), negating the survivor the chance of a token. I don't mind the perk the way it is now but I could see a lot of farming attitude from survivors during the event. Farming attitude, aka, toxicity.
@Gorgonia survivors also hide from the BBQ aura reading... condemning the hooked survivor.
Nice people everywhere.
shrugs
-
He carried you through the whole map and you didn't wiggle? Did you expect a free escape delivered on a silver platter?

@FlamingkittyUmad said:
Killers get a perk that gives them an ez extra 100% that also shows there where more survivors are after a hook, the survivor version is an empty perk slot that requires you to farm before your team mates do
@FlamingkittyUmad fun facts:
WGLF was released before BBQ.
WGLF originally had a 200% BP bonus, but had to be nerfed, because survivors would farm each other.
BBQ has its aura reading to reduce camping.
It's easier to get WGLF tokens than BBQ tokens.
-
@Vancold you mention camping killers and BBQ in the same post. Achievement unlocked!
BBQ does the same WGLF does. But gives killers a reason to leave the hook.
Not more, not less. It's something that also benefits survivors.

The big problems lies in the fact that Survivors ability to get max BP is heavily dictated by the actions of their allies and the killer. The killers points are much more independently earned and overall as long as you're playing well you get more points more consistently. Factor in survivor mains playing killer at low ranks for limited resistance and you get relatively easy games with huge BP yield compared to survivor games that have to go Exactly Right for you to get a lot.
@ClogWench that's why I said perfect match.
-
They get the same amount.
If you maxed out all 4 categories, then you got 32k points.
-
@Vancold said:
Been getting 150k-160k per game if 2 people use the event offering, as killer.
Good luck getting as much with survivors each game, considering how trash is WGLF, lmao.
Perfect match = 32k
Double BP bonus = 32k
4 BBQ/WGLF stacks = 32k
2x bps = 64k
Total= 160k
Of course, 32k as survivor could be hard, because of the survival category. So 28-29k is more realistic as survivor. But still achievable within the 150k range you pointed out.
On the other hand, getting a perfect killer match with 4 BBQ stacks is also hard, because survivors like to DC on the first occasion.
-
@Johnny_XMan never claimed that. Just added it to your list
-
A new killer got just released. Everyone will try to test him. Even survivor mains. Give it a week or two and it will be back to normal.
Or switch to survivor. "Killer getting more points" is a myth.
-
@Johnny_XMan good point! Btw, tunneling and camping are also part of the game.
-
It's not like we expected this to happen AGAIN... oh wait...

Doing this kinda throws out the window the idea of them listening to their community about changes and doing last minute changes, I don't like having to wait to save my money and not buy what I want cause it will get changed into something I don't want, like cosmetics.
@ShrekIsHot oh they are listening to the community. To majority of our community. Not at those 20% part that killers form.

How on earth is NOED the killer equivalent of Adrenaline? One perk gves you a boost for your team completing all 5 gens, the other gives you a boost for pretty much losing to survivors since they were able to do all 5 gens.
@ad19970 ok, identify the perk please:
- activates once all gens are completed/gates are powered
- gives a speed bonus
- modifies the amount of hits/healthstate required to down a survivor
-
@Yamaoka it looks like I'll have to do the same.
Then survivors will open tons of threads, where they complain about killers keeping the game hostage by slugging them, again.
Well, if that's what they want. *shrugs*
-
@Oblitiry since you don't know the difference between equipping a perk and not equipping it, I see no need to continue.
Btw, NOED is the killer equivalent of Adrenaline.
-
@Oblitiry NOED is a Perk. Not a mechanism.
NOED can be disabled before it becomes active, but only by survivors that are not lazy.
Comparing NOED to the hatch is redundant since the survivors don't need to equip a hatch perk, that only spawns a hatch IF the survivor has that perk equipped.
I can't even imagine the uproar of the survivor community if the hatch would require a perk and could still be removed by the killer, just like it's possible with NOED.

My point was that you shouldn’t be forced to run certain perks on either side. I don’t support lobby dodging on either side.
Both sides run their meta perks, it also isn’t healthy gameplay to force certain perks to be used.
@TreemanXD not forcing, but incentivizing. I gave you a full build with perks that are barely used, because they are not required with the hatch.

She is not a healthy weight. But to your eyes normal which is my exact point. And further than this, beyond normalisation we now see in western society celebration of overweight body types. I dont think this is a good thing for peoples long term health is all.
@Rex_Huin I invite you to take a day trip through any major city. Look around and tell me what you see more. Fit bodybuilders or people which are not fit?
I'm not saying that morbidly obese is healthy. But neither is being anorexic. Which currently is heavily celebrated on any fashion show.
I'm talking about normal bodies. Some fat is actually healthy for your body.
But, we are getting kinda off topic here.

You don't think bloodlust is a bad mechanic? You know, that band-aid fix that got implemented instead of fixing the maps like everyone demanded.
@Mc_Harty I actually do think bloodlust is a bad mechanic. Chases are fun. Juking is fun. Running in circles until enough time passed isn't fun. But since running in circles is braindead easy, at least compared to Juking, people started doing only the most efficient and easy thing.
So yes, I'd remove the bloodlust mechanic once the chases are fixed.
-
Run Bond or Empathy. See who is running and where. Don't touch a gen until you are sure the killer is chasing someone else.

That's not fair at all ######### lol. OH wait you mean fair as in completely killer sided.
Dude I'm glad your idea will never be a thing.
@Oblitiry What is killer sided on requiring survivors to do their objective in order to escape?
There is no mechanism that rewards a bad killer. However, there's one that rewards bad survivors and punishes the killer for playing good. How does this even make sense?
Imagine that the killer is bad. 4 survivors are about to escape and the gate closes behind the third one. Giving the killer a free undeserved kill. Does that sound fair to you? Because that's exactly what the hatch is.
Left Behind is a useless perk as of now. Because no one would bother to repair gens, while being the last survivor.
I'm asking for equality, not double standards.
-
@GrootDude said:
@Tsulan but then we’d give survivors the same problem killers have(ruin being required) left behind would become required for solo players.
@TreemanXD people ask all the time for equal treatment. I'm going a bit off topic here, in order to explain myself. For example, there was recently a thread about punishing killers for lobby dodging. People even went as far as asking for temp and perma bans. For LOBBY dodging.
I pointed out, that why punish only killers? People answered that survivors don't lobby dodge, or that they dodge because of high ping. Killer dodging for high ping was an invalid reason for them.
Double standards at its best.
Or a few days ago a survivor complained about the following situation: 2 survivors were left, one tried to do gens, got found by the killer, looped him for awhile in the hope that the other survivor would do the last gen. Finally got downed and he sees the other survivor camping the hatch. That's unhealthy gameplay. One refusing to do the objective and dooming the other, because he found the free escape.
Now back to your comment.
Survivors are still using only 5 meta perks. Not the healing nerf, nor the DS nerf has changed anything about it. Would it really be so bad to have viable end game perks for survivors? Mix up the meta just a little bit by letting survivors use Left Behind, Diversion, Deja Vu and Technician?
-
@GrootDude said:
@Tsulan if they removed the hatch then we’d just have hostage situations.
@TreemanXD once there is only one survivor left, a counter starts. This counter is only visible for the survivor. The counter only stops if the survivor is repairing a gen or in the killers terror radius. If the counter reaches 0, the survivor will start screaming. Once every X seconds. Revealing himself to the killer. The more often the survivor screams, the shorter the time between screams.
This would make Left Behind viable.
Simple and fair solution.
-
@all the people that downvoted my hatch removal proposal. Is there a similar mechanic for killers that I didn't knew? One that rewards utterly bad killers with 7000bp?
But survivors deserve that escape, right? Like when one of the last 2 survivors doesn't do anything but search for the hatch and then camp it.
-
@FrenziedRoach thank you! As you can see, the downvotes already started 😅

@darktrix then play Claudavid!

And people give me downvotes, when I ask for the hatch removal...
-
@Rex_Huin she looks normal. She's not Meg fit, but I wouldn't call thick hips unfit. It's not like she's morbidly obese with 150+kg or something.
So we are just "celebrating" normal bodies instead of the unrealistic body concepts of He-Man or Barbie style characters that exist way to often in video games.
-
@Boss ah I see a man of culture.
I love that BHVR finally added some more realistic characters. At least regarding body form.
-
That's weird, during the event I had 2-3 Flashlights per match. Which managed to blind me countless times.
Maybe they don't need a buff...
-
I'd expect some free skins.
-
School?
-
They said nothing special, but I'd expect some free skins.
-
He just got buffed. Nerfing him makes no sense.
But then again, we're talking about behavior here. So it wouldn't surprise me.
-
I expect 3 solutions and 20 new problems.

You don´t have to buy them all at once. Just buy the base game and add a chapter if it convinces you.
There are games out there, where the whole content costs 250+$

@NoShinyPony that's the problem. Survivors that are good enough, they don't want to lose the killer. They can make the killer waste a ton of time.

They get roughly the same amount per hour played.

So in these forums I've seen survivors complaining about "tunneling and camping killers". So I have to ask, are you complaining to the devs about the whole mechanic or about toxic killers doing their only objective? Killers don't have totems to cleanse or chests to loot. They only have 1 objective, which is to kill the survivors. There is literally nothing else to do for killers, but they are getting ######### on for doing this. Am I wrong here?
-
@se05239 like, when they said no clowns?
