They should completely remove the cap. The other currencies have no cap. Why can't we just save our points? So we don't get a p3 char the moment he's released? That's ridiculous!
-
@darktrix Monstrous Shrine does nothing. Even with a basement build.
EGC just removes the need to complete gens.
-
Nurse is fine. If survivors spend even half the amount of time playing against her, as nurse players did to master her, then they'd know how to avoid her.
Instead they just DC or suicide and call for a nerf.
-
@PolarBear thank you!
-
I'm not at home, could you send a screenshot, please?
-
Yes there is: Monstrous Shrine
Left Behind would be meta, if the hatch didn't exist.
So blame the hatch.
-
Since you mentioned not enough high risk, could you name any high risk survivor perks?
-
A few months ago we had a survivor streamer with a full SWF squad playing against a doctor.
Doctor played 3 gen strat and they called it taking the game hostage.
Match took 1 hour, during which the killer didn't fail for bait. He didn't let himself drag away but tried to down and hook survivors.
Those survivors held the game as much hostage as the killer did. No one wanted to give in.
In the end, the killer let them do the gens, to end this. But the survivors wouldn't leave. They stayed another 10 minutes at the exit.
-
Was have mindgames to do with running in circles?
-
@LordGlint sounds ok. It would turn DS into a true anti tunnel perk.
-
@LordGlint oh, my bad. I misread.

@Vetrathene definitely agree on it punishing killers who dont even tunnel. While saying "just dont tunnel" is pretty easy, its still pretty easy to catch someone on a totem or a gen within that 60 second window. While i suppose slugging IS a possibility if you suspect someone has DS, its equally as likely they have unbreakable. It also doesnt help at all if someone runs strait into a locker in front of you, knowing you cant hit them and leave them on the ground. In that case, unless you want to stare at a locker for 60 seconds, you either gotta eat the DS or leave.
Biggest problem I currently see with the current iteration of DS though is the things survivors can generally get away with because of the 60 second safety window. If the perk is meant to protect someone from being downed again right off the hook, why is it still protecting them if they choose to rush an unhook themselves afterward, break a totem, work on a gen, ect.
TBH, i wouldnt mind it if they removed the timer all together and allowed it to stay on indefinitely until the survivor either heals up or does any action other than healing (such as working on a gen). Id be interested in hearing thoughts on this and either your reasoning for either being for or against it.
@LordGlint survivors would abuse this by running around injured. Just as they do with the Plague.

You have to agree that it's way more balanced than the previous DS tho.
@NMCKE it is, but it still feels like a crutch.

I learned in my French class that some beaches in France where you can actually go naked. However, there's an age restriction on people going, but still, it's crazy!
@NMCKE we have nudist camping areas around here. Inside that camping area you can go fully naked with the exception of the service area like the restaurant. No age restrictions at all. Though, people usually don't go around while being sexually aroused.

Where did he say embarrassed mother in what you quoted?
He didnt. It was a third random example to help those who cant use context figure out a baseline. Not the legal min/max allowable.
He stated if you cant wear in public (their base in NA) it's probably nude.
You could use context, comprehension, and a little common sense to know he meant based on the laws or rules followed in the location he or the company is.
You wanted to nit pick about legality in a DIFFERENT country.
So I assumed you had no knowledge of geography. As EU and NA are in complete different locations, but you're acting like the laws are for the same area.
Dont try and change arguments up mid way through again hon. It looks about as good as your feedback while "not playing".
;)
He literally said it in his last phrase: "or if it would be really embarrassing to wear in front of your mother, it's probably not okay"
Talking about nitpicking...
You really seem to take this whole nudity thing way to serious. My apologies, if our free nipples make you uncomfortable.
-

Well then I guess it's a good thing the company is based IN North America. So for the sake of legality they have to follow NA laws.
You obviously dont know geography.
Or comprehension as he did in fact state, "legal or not".
@Carpemortum and where did he say anything about laws? He talked about embarrassing the own mother.
Why shouldn't I know geography?

@Peanits said:
Basically the same as nudity in real life. If you couldn't wear it in public, it probably counts as nudity. Using the existing cosmetics as a baseline is a good way to tell.
@Peanits you obviously don't know the nude beaches of Europe. Whole families go there. No piece of clothing covering anything. No embarrassment in front of the parents.
Oh and the nudity advice disclaimer is only necessary in NA. We don't have pixelated nipples in Europe.
-
Ah yes, the good old times.
Killers had moris back then, that required no hooks. Iron Grip was actually a good perk, lighting was better (even though we had darkest moonlight offerings).
Face camping was actually a thing. Ranking up was easier. Etc.
The game went through a lot of changes. Some made it better, some worse.

I feel the reason people dislike NoED more is because it usually rewards bad play for killers, as they fail their objective but get a one shot for end game. With adrenaline, the survivors (usually) worked to stay alive the entire match, with one dead perk, so imo i think adrenaline is more fair.
@Mew why is everyone saying that it rewards bad killer plays?!
Killer has still to find, chase and hit the survivors.
Killer is bad if he let the survivors get to endgame? So basically he's bad if he doesn't tunnel, and kills as fast as possible (mori).
Fast matches punish the killer pip wise.
So what is it now?
-
@Vancold survivors wanted a secondary objective. They got totems. Which are totally optional and can remove a whole killer perk before it has even the chance to work.
A perk that is useless during the whole match and only works during the endgame and only when the survivors were to lazy to cleanse totems. A perk that reduces the amount of required hits by 50%.
Basically the killer version of Adrenaline.
-
@DarkGGhost that's why survivors would complain about camping.
-
@DarkGGhost that would be like a killer going for the unhooking survivor instead of the unhooked one.
In other words, the survivors would spend a lot of time waiting for the killer to leave, before they'd even consider touching a new gen.
-
@Arroz Excellent point, my friend!
Survivors get 60 seconds of protection for failing. That's what this whole thread is about.
Thank you, for agreeing!
-
@DarkGGhost when the killer kicks a gen, survivors would be under pressure to get back to it. If he stays, he's a gen camper

Spotted the killer main. BBQ and WGLF aren't supposed to be the same but they are sister perks in a way they do a similar thing. I run WGLF a lot because survivor points are petty but I wish it would receive a buff. I liked the killer aura reading as it would help prevent tunnelling and makes sense in the perk > you unhook see the killer is coming back so no to take a hit or stop healing ect.
@Black_Fence survivor points are only a petty if you don't interact with the killer. If you repair, unhook, heal, and get chased. Then you'll earn 50k+ points per match with WGLF.
Or at least, that's what I make regularly as survivor.

Hey I had another idea too! A new survivor perk that stop killer from check generators
"Once the survivor starts repairing a gen, the killer can not pass in a radius of 16 meters"
Seems balanced!1!1!1
It shall be called "Decisive gen"
So you get a perfectly safe gen repair simulator. Since the killer can never stop a gen. Would you like to play against Freddy who doesn't uses his power?
Want some rice? @Arroz
-
I just had a revelation! A new killer perk to stop survivors from tunneling gens!
"Once the killer kicks a gen, no survivor can repair it for 60 seconds"
What do you guys think?
It shall be called "Decisive Kick"
-
Sure, why not fusion DS, SC and Mom into a single handy perk. This way, survivors can finally use some other perks too.
/S
-
I can already see the camping complaints. XD

@Tsulan even the survivors at green ranks (I'm not actually R1 :P) are learning to gen rush, making ruin a needed bandaid fix. I have played powerless Freddy though.
@TreemanXD then survivors argue that if ruin is so bad, why is everyone using it.
-
@TreemanXD I get flamed when I do this. Gen rush is only fun, if the killer is actively trying to stop it.
-
@GrootDude said:
Killers are OP. I play leatherface a R1 without perks or add ons. Disregard this, I was in a downvote competition.
@TreemanXD I play Freddy on rank 1 without addons and perks.
-
He's totally viable on rank 15-20.
Since the devs balance around those ranks, I'd say pretty good job.

@Tsulan so reasonable killer mains can't downvote this?
Almost every point the OP made was wrong. Except for Ghostface being trash and survivors being stronger.
The examples he used were unrealistic and obviously he doesn't have in depth knowledge. So as a killer main, I'm still downvoting this.
@Poweas I can understand the OPs frustration.
Gen rush has been a problem for a very long time. Killers feel pressured during the whole match.
Survivors only feel that pressure once there are only 2 alive. Injured survivors can run and jump without any problems, while killers get slowed down by a hit.
Some killer powers are borderline useless.
I might not support the way he expresses himself, but I understand the problem.
Killers should be in the power role, BUT since the majority of players would then play killer, the queues would be unbearable. So I understand, that survivors need to be in a certain power role.
Best solution is right now, to play both sides and choose the side with the shorter queue.
-
Judging from the comments and downvotes, I'd say that "the forum is a echo chamber for killer mains" is a myth.
-
@Mister_xD said:
there is an upcoming banwave for those players.
also, with dedicated servers they said they would introduce a new DC penality that wont work with the current system, so stay hyped!
just save those add ons / offerings for the date dedicated servers drop and you shoudl get a lot less DCs / they get punished for DCing.
@Mister_xD if you think dedicated servers will solve those problems, then you gonna have a bad time.
Dedicated servers will solve some problems, but create a ton of new ones.
-
Terrible idea. It's disrespectful towards the victims and their families.
And it's not only that...
Best case scenario: it attracts the wrong kind of people.
Worst case scenario: it forces the game to shut down.

That's definelty not normal, u will never see so much toxic behavior in every single game outside of the PTB against Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Huntress etc (as long as the player beeing the killer is decent).
@HavelmomDaS1 wrong!
You clearly haven't seen the bullying noob nurses have had to endure.
Once a SWF group recognizes that the nurse misses every blink, they'll turn that match into a nightmare for the nurse player.
-
I mostly play solo and I hate the hatch to the point where I'd prefer they just removed it. Simply because so many games are like this.
Survivors escaping with 9000 points through the hatch. Them explaining that they deserved that escape. All while they didn't move a finger through the whole match.
-
The end is neigh
-
In before the "lobbies are bugged, I can't find a match at red ranks!" Threads start.
A nurse nerf WILL backfire.
-
RIP Freddy.
When everyone thought they would buff him, they behaviord him again.

They won't get anything if they tear each other apart because it only works on safe unhooks.
@NMCKE BT got them covered. They'll happily farm with it.
-
Sure, give survivors the 200% bonus back.
I'm sure they learned their lesson and won't tear each other apart, like they did the last time.
Otherwise I'll be enjoying the show.

I always proposed a penalty / ban for Killers who dodges lobbies, I never dodge lobbies myself
I proposed this idea several times, everyone is so against it
Why only killers? Survivors dodge all the time.

@Mc_Harty you’re telling me to let the killer have me so I can use my perk? That really isn’t a good idea and I often only get protection hits while I’m on the hook or the killer is carrying someone.
@Tsulan the counter to noed is cleansing dull totems.
That shouldn't be to much work...
Oh wait, it actually is.
-
Nurse could actually use a QoL change.
The rare addon that lets you see where teleport lands, should be grey. Since it would help new players.
-
How about removing the protection hits requirement and make it work just when the exit gates are powered? A direct counter to NOED.
