Trash perk suddenly is meta and everyone using it, claims his innocence.
Yeah, no one would touch this perk with a stick, if it wasn't for the bug.
Exploiters should be banned.
-
Pasting this from another thread.
The survivors objective is to escape. Some people think that once the gates are powered, they deserve to escape. But the match isn't over until you see the point screen.
A killer who sacrificed his perk slots for Blood Warden, NOED and Remember Me. Shouldn't be considered a killer who failed his objective. He prepared for the endgame.
Which is honestly the best way for both sides:
All players earned their points. Everyone will probably pip, no one will leave with 2k points and complain that he got tunneled.
But somehow, I get the impression, that people want killers to tunnel and kill survivors fast with no one earning more than 2k points.
Just because everything else is considered a failure. Please make up your mind on what you want. A match where everyone "wins" point and emblem wise, or a match where the killer ruins the survivors fun by killing them as fast as possible. Imagine Iridescent head + mori. Terribly efficient, but ruins the match for everyone else.
-
I think it would help, if we could see the reason why that person got banned.
This would reduce speculation.
Just saying.
-
@Peanits @not_Queen could we get a official statement on this? Are there some changes planned? Some skin sales? Anything?
Do you understand this as games as a service?
-
Since they are basically the mirrored version of each other, I think both are fine.
-
There's music?

This is exactly how it works.
@Redd quote of the wikipedia article:
"Microtransactions represent low-cost purchases, compared to the cost of a full game or a large expansion pack, that provide some form of additional content to the purchaser."
In video gaming, games as a service (GaaS) represents providing video games or game content on a continuing revenue model, similar to software as a service. Games as a service are ways to monetize video games either after their initial sale, or to support a free-to-play model. So no, this is not how games as a service works.
No one would complain if the skins would cost something between 1 and 3$/€/£ but 10?

"I think that I should be able to get everything for free because I'm entitled and don't understand how capitalism and games as a service work!"
@her_boytoy having expensive skins on a f2p game is one thing. But this is a full price game + paid dlc + overpriced skins.
This is not how games as a service works.

@Jonathanskilz I think this screenshot speaks for itself.
-
@AetherBytes i know, it should be the opposite. I really miss the old times, when i actually hat to pay attention to know if the survivor was downed by NOED or not. Or that some killer perk is affecting me. Now i get a big red sign...
-
@Akuma i assume you haven´t read all the thread, and especially the last comment on page 3.
TL/DR: Would survivors prefer Iridiscent head + Ebony mori matches? Since those are over fast. I mean, i have 19 Iridiscent heads and 12 Ebony´s on my Huntress...

the EQUIVALENT LOL
Where is Adrenaline the eq of NOED?
To trigger you have to do all 5 gens and you have to survive until then. Noed is just: Im afk for 5 minutes and get a insta down + movement speed.
Adrenaline requieres that you did everything as survivor, noed nothing. Adrenalines counterplay is it to kill survivors before they win. That's the trick ;)
Noeds counterplay is "survivor have to do another objective, 5 times"
Sorry mate but you can leave now because obviously your opinion is crap at this point. Sry for that <3

@MegsAreEvil said:
NOED shouldnt exist as a reward for doing nothing. Thats the point why killers always complain about new survivors perk to get them trashed (like MoM or DS). Double standards on high level.
@MegsAreEvil what´s really funny, are survivors double standards.
Hatch = totally fair and deserved.
NOED = a reward for doing nothing.
/facepalm
-
@AetherBytes but the devs aim towards giving solo survivors the same information overflow SWF has.
-
@CarterMcGee2003 a map layout for both sides. Showing gens to the survivors and totem spots to the killer, where he can choose where to place his hex totems.
-
@TRB124 just read the last post on page 3.
-
Killer issue...
So don´t expect anything soon.
Just like the soundbug that took them Months.
-
@PotEtU that's probably because of the free weekend.
People want to test the game/killers.
-
https://youtu.be/MK6TXMsvgQg
I agree. They should also change the intro music:
-
There´s also a free weekend right now. Which might affect killer lobbies.
-
Survivors have more ways to escape. But since running in circles is so braindead easy, and nurse counters exactly that. They think she's OP.
Just yesterday I had a really long and exciting chase against a God nurse. Only died, because I tried to pick up another survivor who was about to bleed out.
-
Okay I ended up playing 25+ matches and only saw those 2 Ghostfaces. Tons of Spirits and nurses. Some Billy's, huntress, even a Freddy.
That hype died REALLY fast.
I assume he'll get his mains. But the majority will stay with Billy, Nurse and Spirit.
What a shame.
-
@thrawn3054 the survivors objective is to escape. Some people think that once the gates are powered, they deserve to escape. But the match isn't over until you see the point screen.
According to the emblems, the killer has to keep the game going for as long as possible. If he kills everyone quickly, he won't pip.
Here lies a problem. The devs want to force certain playstyles on us. Which then creates wrong expectations.

Adrenaline is completely null vs NOED. It's ignorant to claim that it's equivalent to NOED.
If you are wounded and adrenaline pops, good you're healthy, if you get hit once your dying.
If you are healthy and NOED pops, if you get hit once, your dying...
Wait, I thought Adrenaline countered NOED?....
If you're hooked and adrenaline pops, then you are unhooked, you, oh wait, there's a second before you can move and if the killer hits you you go back to dying....
The only counselation is if you can find all 5 secondary objectives (totems) and destroy them before the 5th generator, it will not proc.
@HURRI_KAIN could you point out where exactly i said, that Adrenaline counters NOED?
I said it is the survivor Equivalent of NOED.
Equivalent doens´t mean counter.
-
@TWiXT I missed the upcoming nerfs. Wasn´t he supposed to get buffed again?
-
@Milo but he´s not even 4 days old!
That hype died FAST!
-
The Devs also said: "No Clowns!"

@RoKrueger said:
Did he/she left already? One less crybaby player. How many to go? ;-)
@RoKrueger only 30k+ left to go 😜

It was actually buffed several times.
@Ihatelife last time it was changed was in patch 1.8.1
I consider this a long time.

@jeyers said:
counter it and deal with it are the same thing and both means very little against noed
either u waste time looking for all totems = killer win
or
you do gens and if u live to all 5 are done u get 1 shot = killer win
and only killer can have perks that make an impact on the game like that because using m1 one more time is just not fun yes
@jeyers you DO realize, that all 5 gens can be completed in 3-4 Minutes... yes?
And that a killer has to find, chase, down and hook every survivor 3 times.
Please show me killers that perform 12 hooks in 3-4 minutes.

Adrenaline rewards you for doing your objective. Surviving, at least until all gens are powered.
NOED rewards you for not completing your objective, sacrificing. At least up until the gates are powered.
Pretty subpar comparison, but I don’t care about NOED.
If most Survivor players ran Small Game NOED would be extinct.
@altruistic Subpar comparision?
- activate once the gates are powered
- give a speed bonus
- alter the amount of hits required to down a survivor
Both perks are literally the same!
So yes, use Small Game and cleanse those totems.
Oh wait, now people will complain, that they shouldn´t be forced to use certain builds, just to counter a perk...
-
You can BUY those perks with ingame currency when they come out on the weekly shrine.
Hex perks can be PERMANENTLY removed by survivors. Imagine the cryout survivors would have, if one of their perks got permanently removed, because someone held M1 for 30 seconds.
-
could you... name those strong killer perks that work all the time?
-
@jeyers Huh? Survivors are not allowed to have strong perks?
Are we playing the same game?
-
Survivors: Devs give us a secondary objective. Only gens is boring!
Also Survivors: nerf NOED!
-
As far as i´m aware, the survivor equivalent of NOED has been untouched for a long time: Adrenaline.
-
Doctor... who?
-
-
Garbage perk that no one would have touched with a stick, suddenly becomes meta...
I would find it hilarious if the devs started throwing out bans, and everyone claims to be innocent.
-
Yes, it's the combination of event + new killer.
Everyone wants to test the new killer. That's why it takes longer. Events have the same effect, since people somehow are under the wrong impression that killers get more points.
-
@Jack11803 all the bonus bloodpoint perks need a rework. The bonus should be applied after the match, just like it's the case with WGLF and BBQ.
There need to be more ways to get BBQ stacks as killer and WGLF stacks should be less competitive, so it doesn't turn into hunger games.
-
@Dehitay said:

Oh, I was unaware that flashlight and pallet saves gave you WGLF stacks. When did they add that? I totally missed the update notes.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/538238#Comment_538238
If you're consistently getting 4 WGLF stacks, I have to ask, how exactly are you playing? Do you race to the attacked survivor every time they go down or are about to go down? I'll admit that you can significantly increase your odds of getting WGLF if you abandon your standard objectives for them, but that would end up decreasing the amount of base bloodpoints you get that get multiplied post game.
@Dehitay when someone gets downed, depending on the distance, I run straight to that spot. Hide inside the terror radius and depending on the killer I either unhook when he leaves or switch places on the hook if he camps, but I already maxed out objective points.
I use WGLF, BT, Proof Thyself and Lithe or We'll make it.
Proof Thyself maxes my objective points in no time, when I repair with someone else.
-
@indieeden7 I think he tried to say that the gens take less than 5 minutes to repair.
-
@weirdkid5 to each one his own fetish...
-
New killer released. Everyone is testing the new killer. That's why they queues are longer
-
Well the devs said there are no double pallets anymore. But there still are. So...
As long as they keep balancing around rank 15-20, we won't have real balance.
-
Red ranks are just toxic. People can't rank up any further, so they get bored of playing normal and start to play toxic.
-
Ok I give up. Everyone is telling me WGLF stacks are hard, while the ONLY reason I'll leave a match without full stacks, is when I get tunneled and camped.
I usually get 2 stacks for a not so save unhook with BT.
-
@Dehitay things that give WGLF stacks:
- safe unhooks
- getting hit next to a injured survivor
- getting hit while blocking the killer with a survivor on his shoulder
- flashlight saves
- pallet saves
Things that give BBQ stacks:
- hooking a survivor for the first time
End of list.
There are way more possibilities to get WGLF stacks.
-
@Jack11803 as you said, it's a bug. Not a permanent change. Bugs get usually fixed.
OP wants a permanent buff.
WGLF stacks are easier to get than BBQ stacks IF the perks work like they should.
