Wait so is it basically a ptb for console now?
No It's more or less, a way so they can test smaller features. All the bigger things like new killers/survivors and map, will still only be testable on the PTB. That is based on how it was explained to me.
-
No more breaking ones control analog stick, or keyboard letters.
-
Honestly probably the maps. I actually miss the older maps. Not the unbalanced loops of the old maps, but the actual feeling they gave. And yeah without hawkins it feels like the game is missing a part of it's heart. However the old realms that I miss the most are the old coldwind farm maps, the atmosphere just felt better for me in older maps.
-
Will beta's replace PTB's?
-
Yeah the status icon won't really do much tbh. I would rather every survivor have the obsession claw, since it would be more helpful to know if someone is on getting chased. But ultimately what would really close the gap is having a pre-made chat system like in the battlefield games.
-
Plague overall, since as long as you are a decent killer you should do fine. But the artist is arguably stronger, but requires some practice. And plague has other things to offer as well, since she lowkey counters iron will, and can somewhat become a anti-loop killer with her vile purge.

While I agree with the general sentiment expressed in the title, except for the word 'abused', that's not how you play a killer-sided map like Suffo.
You pick one side of the map and you lock it down.
Which brings me to the next point. Just as a map shouldn't have such strong area for survivors, it shouldn't also spawn with two 3-gens, one of which is often a 4-gen even.
Bad map design goes both ways.
The other day when I was playing plague 5 gens spawned on one side of the map... so agreed
-
SB is actually is stronger than DH though. I been playing a lot of killer lately, and the better survivors tend to use SB more. Also you do realize sprint burst can counter every killer in a way. And even in a three gen scenario smart survivors just run away with SB when you get close to the gen. But people will still complain, since it's just human nature to complain about everything. Now if DH gets nerfed badly which it's looking like it probably will. You guys will see SP more often since it's the best exhaustion perk in the game, and then you will see that people will start complaining about SP.
-
When there is a hatch challenge SWF is the way to complete it :-)
-
The game is honestly too divided. You got two sides of the extreme verge, they can't look past anything they view as one side getting an "advantage". You got people who exclusively care only about survivors, and will only care about their "side". Now on the other side you got people who only care about killer, and will only care about the killer issues. So basically it leads to people who one-side, to only care about their "side's" issues. And basically will lead them to have no sympathy for the issues of the opposite "side". So this just creates a bad environment since it leads people having no sympathy for the other role.
-
I been playing her a lot lately. And cleansing strategically can actually be good. Since it will reset her ability. Cleanse as far as possible till you guys get close to the location she is at.
-
Well there goes the artist fame and glory lol. Kind of reminds me of what they did to the trickster... Like a couple of weeks later they announced that the resident evil chapter was going to get released. But I actually think the artist lost her fame even more quickly than the trickster, like she was popular on the day she got released, but pretty much everyone has forgotten about her. Despite her not being weak.

Boons should only works for owners. Period.
Honestly this is the best way to fix the perks without directly nerfing boon. Just make it so the effect only apply to the user, not the whole squad. That way boon totems can still be good.
-
Funny how times have changed. Because there used to be people in this same forum who would write "being injured does not matter". Now everyone is realizing survivors being injured does add pressure to the game.
-
I love the map for both sides. I guess I'm crazy.

Just for survivors? I played against a nurse that let us escape because she said she love snowmans. When I have played killer I let a survivor escape being a snowman as well. It's hilarious to watch and also to be a snowman yourself.
It is but, you know some will never be satisfied. Even though this is a limited timed event that going to be gone in 2 weeks, and may never return.
-
Can they not add a limited timed event without some folks taking it too seriously? It's not a huge deal, enjoy the limited timed event.

I guess here's my question: How screwed up does an event have to be before "just have fun with the limited time event" is not a reasonable excuse anymore? Sure there has to be a breaking point.
It's reasonable because it's a limited timed event. It's not a big deal, just have fun and enjoy the event 🎅. People need to be more supportive for them trying new things. I'm happy since it's the first time in years since got an actual Christmas event, and it's just funny to see survivors running around as a snowman.
-
Some people take this game too seriously 🤣 Just have fun and enjoy the limited time event. This is why they don't try anything new, since there is always these grumblers who always find something to complain about.
-
Nice job guys for adding a creative fun event. 100% credit 👍️.

Eh, Main Event sucks in almost every situation. The only times where it's actually beneficial to use are:
1. You are running out of knives and the survivor is close by and not behind a wall.
2. You run literally right into a survivor in a deadzone/away from a pallet, wall or window while the power activation window is up.
3. You're camping, or a survivor unhooks next to you.
In all other situations Main Event is so slow-moving that you can completely negate it by going behind a single wall. Or even a rock! I remember this time I outlasted Main Event on a Z Wall, of all loops. I'm completely unintimidated by it, and as Trickster, I pretty much just use it in the 1st case where I'm running out of blades. Pretty sad for an "ultimate ability" that has a limited window, fatigue, and you can only get like 2 or 3 times a game at max.
I agree main event is pretty trash in most cases. But that is what I'm saying if a trickster is camping don't attempt to rescue in front of his face, don't try to body block either, because main event can shred survivors. Trust me I done it multiple times, a lot of people seem to underestimate the main event at close range. I downed 3 survivors multiple times using main event when they they attempt to be hero's. But yes as a whole it's a trash ability in-itself for the most part, unfortunately it's great at promoting camping tho.
-
So many people sleep on plague lol. She has so much going for her. I been playing her a lot lately and she is super fun.
-
Because his power is actually easy to counter. If you really want to avoid a tricksters, as someone who plays him a decent amount, just avoid getting out positioned. His power is easily countered by high wall tiles. And another thing I noticed is that a lot of people underestimate his main event, don't try to rescue if he is camping, his main event can actually down and entire squad and eat BT like nothing.

Definitely not with the 5 second victor stun, blown up way out of proportion. Oni and Bubba will slug you more with no drawbacks.
It's called solo Q my friend. The few twins I faced have play in such a manner. Way more than any oni or bubba I have faced. No one likes to get slugged. Camping Is acceptable since one has the option to freely leave. With slugging one has to sit there and do nothing, but wait the 4 minutes.
-
Yeah some people can't stand "losing" , so they may play in the most unfun way for both sides tbh. For example camping right of the bat is not fun for anyone, unless it's an insidious bubba 😂.
-
Overrated perk that requires certain perks/conditions for it to be useful. Such as the fact that it can only be used one time if one does not get healed. At it's best it's a downgraded sprint burst.
-
The twins at their best are a slugging machine which is worse than getting camped, which is why bubba is not as hated. That is why a lot of people don't like them. And a lot of people usually won't play what they don't like tbh.
-
8 hooks on average still equal 2 sacrifices at the end of the day lol. Just be honest you want killers to get an average of 4 sacrifices each game. I mean that is what I'm getting from this.

I started playing in 4.7.0 and i feel like there's too many killers to make a tier list but i definitely believe trickster was THE worst. Especially with this add-on.

Cannot believe how much worse he was on the PTB gameplay. I am happy with how he is right now though.
Yeah he was 100% the weakest killer at that time. In his released PTB state he was was weaker than even on his full released. I legit remember I never lost to a PTB trickster, because he was much slower when aiming. And counted were the times I lost to a trickster before his got his new buff. I only lost to fewer than 5 times to pre-buffed trickster. Which is why I made this account to complain about how weak he was 😂
-
Brainless teammates are usually what causes frustration when playing survivor tbh, although it's mostly in solo q. So if you get teammates with a brain you should be set, if you don't it can get annoying. But yeah playing survivor is more chill in general, since when playing killer it can become a sweatfest pretty fast.
-
Most still stick to the meta combos, so it's not like it matters. Anyway SWF negates so many survivor, and killer perks as well, not saying It should not be a thing. As I play with my friends to from time to time. But point being so many perks get negated overall by many factors, but that does not mean they should change anything. Anyway run what you want bro, you paid for the game so you can use whatever you want 🌚
-
I say this, if a killer is gonna camp, or proxy camp me, go in all the way. Because at that point the game is basically over for me if I'm in a solo team.
-
NOED 👀
BT for survivor.
-
Not letting it stack with other heal perks would be unnecessary. I agree the perk is somewhat a bit much. But the way to nerf it correctly, and boon totems in general. Would be to make it so the perk only applies to the original users. So that way only the person who runs the perk gets any use of it. So they the one user would get to use an upgraded self-heal, but with a high risk of it being found.
-
Depends on what game I feel like playing. Some days I don't touch the game, when I do play it's usually less than 5 matches.
-
I mean I don't blame people, as running as far away from her while she plants her crows is the best way to counter her ability. I can say that with certainly as that is the best tactic that people used when I was playing as, and vs. her. That's her counter 1000%. But you can also the crows to attempt to damage if they run, and also bait the crows and hit them while if they attempt to leave the loop. So it's not like she this weak thing now.
-
This is the only exhaustion perk that has a 100% viability regardless of the situations. Meaning you don't need a pre-requirement to use it, thus allowing one to escape every type of situation, such as a insta-down killer etc.
-
Underrated solo Q destroyer killer \./
-
Maybe she crouched naw? It kind of looks like it to me, unless I'm blind. She could have been looking sideways.

Those perks arent useless, theyre just heavily outshined by the strongest perks
Nerf all meta perks to the level of the 'average' perk and all of a sudden theres a lot less useless/niche perks
So should ruin get nerfed?
Should balance landing get nerfed?
Do you think perks such as gearhead are good? But to be fair every perk can technically be useful in certain builds. So most perks are niche.
-
Everyone always is asking to nerf perks, when we should be asking to buff the 70% of useless/niche perks. We already have a limited number of useful perks, why ask to nerf the decent perks. Where is this energy when it comes to asking to buff perks???? Anyhow this perk is very is easily countered by looking sideways, if you suspect someone has it. And regardless people can't see why where the killer is coming from.
-
@GrayEyes said:
Jeez i wonder why
Couldn't possibly have anything to do with nerfs to already bad killers or the introduction of these busted boon totems nah couldn't be
People should love playing killer and shouldn't be able to get enough of it totally
Honestly I don't blame them. I played killer, and as of lately the game has become a total sweat fest for killers. Which is why I don't play killer a whole lot, since I'm not interested in playing sweaty non-stop.
-
The que times where actually good when this MMR systems got enacted upon us. But as of lately they been getting worse.
-
Yeah holding it could promote even more camping. Which something less experienced trickster users tend to do. I used to think that holding his main event would be perfect, but then I realized it would promote camping in a bad way. So I agree with what others have said, if does not get used it would reset to maybe 75% of it's power.

Than why not buff the other exhaustion perks and nerf dead hard also don’t forget overcome that is problematic I’ll be deffo use that too on survivor the distance you get on that is insane
The only nerf dead hard needs is the immunity it gives survivors from getting directly hit by an M2 attack, such as huntress hatches etc. And going through trapper traps. But other than that the perk is A ok. The distance is the point of the perk. And sprint burst is still stronger than dead hard, and overcome. Since it can 100% be useful in every scenario.

He can be on large maps or indoor maps where it is easy to insta break chains. If you understand the box spawns he can be agony to go against and i have made many survivors DC or point at the hook while playing him which is why his kill rate is so high (LOOK AT THE CONTEXT INSTEAD OF THE NUMBERS DEVS FFS!)
His kill rate should go down a little after they destroy time addons.
Honestly in the majority my solo Q matches that I played vs. pinhead. I noticed that in the majority of my solo Q matches other survivors outright refused to solve the box. Like they would not even look for the box till the chain hunt began. If I was not actively going out of my way to solve the box, the survivors would not even bother till it was too late. So I think that explain pinhead high kill-rate, in other words solo Q survivors. But big maps are bad for basically ever killer, and yes even nurse.

I do t know what killers you be looking at bbq is awful now because of shadow step… also the killers have to go with them perks is because the gens are flying with efficient players. Dead hard is insane I use it all the time when I play survivor it’s kind of annoying that it’s so popular now even with the buff it’s even more popular from my last three days of playing killer I only seen one sprint burst and three lithe everything else was dead hard the perks need to be nerfed in some way 🤷🏻♂️
Why nerf a perk that is not broken/useless? That would further limit the decent perks available.
The people should be asking for weak/useless, niche perks to get buffed instead. So that way it incentivizes people to run varied builds, and not the meta combos.
-
Perk is okay. It's better to have the unnecessary stridor nerf reverted. And to have niche/useless perks buffed.
-
Make new game modes.
-
Pinhead as whole seems to be underrated. I seen people claim he is "weak".
