Survivor Ques take like 5 minutes at night, and during the day like 2 minutes. But my solo Q matches are pretty much the same before this MMR system got enacted. Half of my matches I get placed with mindless teammates. And the other half with more or less, survivors who actually have a functioning brain. But I genuinely am not interested in having a need to escape each round, so I don't get mad at not escaping. But that explains why my teammates make simple mistakes often, since I'm at a casual MMR in the survivor side, since I don't escape often believe it or not. But what frustrates me about solo Q is the simple mistakes, I'm not expecting a sweat squad. Just a team that has people who actually can think. Because after playing for 1000+ hours, I even to this day still get shocked at the plays some survivors make. So as others have said it's not really the killers, it's really the mindless solo Q teammates. Sure at high MMR solo Q survivors perform better, but I'm not putting the effort to get to high MMR in solo Q LMAO. Now on the killer side, it's the complete opposite 😂. It's super easy to get to high MMR all you have to do is get 4 sacrifices for like 5 matches and boom. Next thing I know I'm getting placed vs. sweat squads, which is not my cup of tea since I'm not playing to sweat.

Thanks for the heads up.
Would anyone happen to know, does this only affect pc players?
Are console players safe?
-
I highly doubt he will get a full power rework, as the closest thing we every got to a killer getting a rework was freedy. But if he ever did, his power should be something related to a form of trickery.
-
This is honestly a decent idea.
-
I mean, if I remember correctly when the latest kill-stats were revealed it showed trickster had the second lowest kill rate. I think it was 47%, or something like that. But anyhow I don't think he is "OP" as some have claimed. Now is he annoying in certain scenarios... Yes he is annoying to face in certain maps. But I don't think he is this overpowered unfair machine that gets 4 sacrifices each round. If anything the kill-rate shows he gets an average of 0 sacrifices in 53% of the matches.

Keys are pretty much useless now.
-
Name checks out. Legion is gunna get hurt by circle of healing.

So would you rather have survivors loop you or hold W? Make up your mind.
They always ignore this. One day some of them complain about survivors running, but when survivors know how to loop some of them call it "abusing loops".
-
I do think circle of healing will become a commonly used perk. Since the perk is an upgraded self-healing, so decent SWFS will run it.
-
Did the survivor have resilience?
-
Hey they're proud that they won in a 4 vs. 1 handicapped, asymmetrical and RGN based game. Anyway this is why I don't bring any cakes at the high MMR since matches go by quickly. At high level MMR the game is mostly a gen simulator 2000. This is why a survive mode is probably for the best at this point, the goal would be to survive for 15 minutes so no gens only pure chases.
-
A decent SWF, pinhead is solo Q destroyer. But wait for the chains to attack and try to make sure pinhead is far away so he does not come and down you, and or interrupt you. And solve it behind an object so the chains don't grab you.
-
Again... Game has, and probably always will be survivors sided. Just because due to how video games works. The side with more numbers usually has the upper hand. Just due to the fact that it's a 4 vs. 1. I asked this once and I will keep asking, how many games does the team with less players win? Not many that I know personally. Now unless ALL the killers get buffed to a point where they are OP, survivors will always have the natural advantage simply due to the number games.

I would just want an option to disable end-game chat completely, so there's no chat icon and there's no possibility of it re-opening.
It already is an option on console.

I know it can be frustrating if you are waiting for the hatch to open and the killer finds you and can just close it on you. But this should be less of an issue with the ptb changes since the hatch won't spawn until there is only one survivor left.
Otherwise I don't see a problem with the killer having priority because at the point where hatch is the option to escape (without key) then your team has already lost.
Might cause more slugging. Since those sweats that wanna get the 4 scarifies might slug more since they can't find the hatch anymore.
-
Without spine chill the game can be scary.

Welcome to ego city, where people like to boast about how good they are in a 4 vs. 1 asymmetrical game, in other words a handicapped game. Anyway this is why a survival mode sounds perfect getting rid of the most boring part of the game, aka gens. All both roles have to focus on is surviving, were there is a 15 minute timer and the survivors have to do is outplay the killer long enough or hide. So it would be a pure chase mode.
-
LOL people acting as if survivors crossing a gate in a video game is a "power role" XD With that, the killer IS the power role. Since the survivors can't fight back. It's matter of survivors having the ability to outplay a killer long enough to avoid getting downed.

This is the DBD paradox. This game is just not meant to be played competitively yet many people seem to treat it like high level League of Legends or something. Like, jesus christ man, chill, how is repairing all gens in 5 minutes fun at all?
Honestly this a trend I been noticing in the past couple of 4 years. Every single online multiplayer game is becoming a sweat show. Everyone in every multiplayer game is playing like if they are going to win a million dollars, it's crazy. I used to remember a time when most multiplayer games were chill. I think it's an increase of players wanting to play like them famous cats.
-
I don't understand, how people don't see it's nearly impossible to have a 50% balance in 4 vs. 1 asymmetrical game. Just by it's core nature something of that scale can't be balanced in a video game. It's just a number game usually the team with more people wins the majority of the time in video games. I don't know many games were the team with less players wins. Usually the team with more players have the upper hand just due to the number game.
-
I feel like the killer role gains MMR to easily. That might be an issue since getting high MMR for survivor is actually hard. So there are killers get to high MMR easily, and they might not be on the same skill level as high MMR survivors. Since high MMR survivors actually do tend have more skill in the game, since it's actually harder to get to high MMR as survivors but for solo Q survivors that is.
-
Stop caring about getting the 4 sacrifices each round. And stop caring about having the need to escape each round, or caring about getting a 4 survivor escape. Overall have no expectation on how the game will end, "win" or "lose", try to enjoy the game based on the gameplay elements. At least that is my mentality on what I view as fun. Don't sweat just accept things and let them play out for each round.
-
That key is the most useless thing in the game. They might as well makes keys have another ability so that key can be used for something.
-
Plague can completely destroy teams, or get destroyed herself. But she has a little bit of everything in her kit, she counters iron will plus she can sort of can counter people playing stealthy, and she also essentially can have survivors exposed at all time and has a ranged ability. And I think a lot of people already know hag is strong, it's just that a lot of people don't play her. But the same thing with plague she is rarely played, and she counters healing/med-kits, no killer has this much built in kit as her.

There is no individual per killer mmr in all honesty. Killers also can't really lose mmr so no matter what happens eventually you're getting capped at 1900 and doomed to the boredom of high mmr till the season ends.
Not really as long as you are not sweating to get 4 sacrifices each round you should fluctuate. For example I'm at a lower to medium MMR since I lose a lot meaning I don't get 4 sacrifices, sometimes I get zero and that's cool for me, because I don't try-hard at killer. Since I don't wanna get to a higher MMR to then have to face those sweat squads.
-
Honestly not everyone is going to play sweaty at all times. But yep that is why solo survivor is the hardest role in this game. Solo>Killer>SWF.

I think it's possible to get the achievement even if one survivors disconnects. As long as you hook the said survivor 2 times.

No because it does not seem feasible at the moment.
How would a skill check while vaulting a window work?

Lmao what hes no where near huntress nurse current spirit blight or hag hell hes worse then most of the bottom of the barrel killers aside from pig
I agree that he is worse than hag, without his special build. AKA engineer fang, with hoarder and franklin's. That build is the best non gen slowdown in the game. And it is due to the fact that a good pinhead will be able to know if someone picks the box, and gets a quick injure and chases them down. And boom there you have it, he is able to easily activate the box and place pressure. And with engineer fang decent pinhead users can injure a team in a matter of seconds. So yeah this build makes pinhead the 4th strongest killer in my opinion. But even then he is still at the top without the build, even the kill-rate stats showed pinhead was at the top of the food chain, but I guess he's trash.
-
AHHH the good old "split the player base" pretext.
Even tho that no longer makes sense today. Since there are games with smaller player bases that have have multiple game modes. That excuse made sense 3 years ago. But now a day since the active player base is larger than it's ever been, and with cross-play. Naw that does not make sense nowadays.
A pure survive game mode would be fun. In that mode the killer and the survivors just have to focus on chases. So no more focusing on gens, or trying to complete gens. The survivors have to survive for 10 minutes. Which would be a lot more fun than doing gens, or focusing on defending gens.

In terms of viability, he just seems trash.
LOL he is one the top 5 killers in this game easily. A decent pinhead is a solo q destroyer. But when a decent pinhead goes up against a competent SWF he struggles like most. I honesty would say he is like hag a strong solo Q destroyer, but a decent SWF makes the game hard for him.
-
Yeah at least 2 of her perks are S+ tier for competent SWF.
-
Everyone that keeps saying dead hard has never played survivor for an extended amount of time 😂
The perk does not even work 30% of the time. Ever heard the saying "exhausted on the ground". Because I can confirm that is definitely a thing lol. And most people that play this game don't even use the perk strongly. In my opinion DH is easily the most overrated survivor perk. Now if most survivors were to use SP y'all would want SP nerfed. Because that perk would actually get used in a effective manner by most players, and it would work 100% of the time.
-
You can't change the heart of some people. Even if you were to add new game modes you would still have those bad people playing the new game modes. I have to say in the past 2 to 5 years there has been just in increase in players turning online games into sweat fest now. A lot of players take any online games in general too seriously now a days. Everyone that is playing online seems to wanna win whatever game now a days at all cost, some even are playing as if they are going to win a million dollars.
-
Don't allow random people comment on the profile, that is the only way to avoid those no lives commenting on ones profile. Which is why I have my profile on private. I don't allow any comments from anyone.

Depends on what killer I'm playing. If it's a mobile killer I go all out which mean pop, plus eruption. And top it out... I add surge :) depending on if the killer is purely and M1 killer, so 3 on mobile killers. On slower killers I like to with ruin and with deadlock or pop. But I don't always run slowdowns, it depends on how I feel.
-
Nope people will still run hex perks. As long as ruin exist.
-
I play chill. I mostly play killer when I feel like playing, or with my friends. I don't sweat at all, If I get 0 sacrifices it is what it is, if I get a couple of sacrifices then it's the same thing. I only play SWF, have not touched solo in weeks. I play with whatever type of builds which is non meta combos.
-
Fun is subjective OP. Anyway NOED is arguably the ultimate second chance perk in the game, since it can turn a 1 hook game in a 4 sacrifices game.
-
Never saw him as weak. I could tell he was a strong killer. He is easily one of the top 5. He can be annoying depending on the how he gets played.
-
No more easy escapes or easy sacrifices, that simple. I'm going to assume since I don't watch people play live.

I think it should be much harder to escape than it currently is. When my team is escaping with 1-3 hooks between us regularly, there’s a problem. To answer your question though, the game should definitely be balanced more towards a 4K than a 4 escape.
Now, it shouldn’t be ridiculously oppressive for survivors, but there’s way too many second chances in the current state.
So in other words you believe the game should be balanced around killers getting 4 sacrifices in most of their games?
So how would you balanced it in a way to let killers consistently get 4 sacrifices?
-

So you’d prefer 8 hooks and 0 kills over 7 hooks and 2 kills? Interesting.
Back to the OP, the balance should be 3 kills (preferably at least 9 hooks) and 1 escape TBH. Killer is supposed to be the power role and survivors should be scared of the killer. This may be an unpopular opinion, but escaping so be a thrilling experience because you outlasted a horrifying situation, not basically a guarantee if you have a good team. Instead we have t-baggers at the exit gates clicking flashlights. Playing survivor doesn’t feel like I’m playing a “survivor”, it feels like I’m playing Pallet Loop Simulator.
So what should this game be balanced around?
Do you think the game should be balanced around 4 survivors escaping, or the killer getting 4 sacrifices each round?
-
I don't play solo survivor anymore. I have the opposite view that you posted OP. Solo survivor is not really that fun, it's not stressful but it's frustrating to get constantly placed with people who seem to have half a working brain. Which is now often ever since Mr. X got put into the game. But I now find the other role less frustrating, I used to think what you posted OP survivor was more fun, and stress free. But overall for the other role to become fun you have to get off this 'I have to get 4 sacrifices mentality'. I used to get stress because I wanted the 4 sacrifices, but since I no longer have that as my goal I have lot more fun. Because It allows me to get off the meta builds and try out fun builds, and I have all the control so when I get zero sacrifices it's because of me. And not some empty-minded person as solo que has often become full of now...

Yeah because this killer - especially with this build is even less fun to play against than Thana Legion on a small map with green button addon.
Also sorry for interrupting the killer main circle-jerk in here with my non biased post!
Yeah basically pinhead is a solo que casual destroyer. Meaning the build works great vs. most decent to average solo q teams, but when it's against a competent SWF the build is not that good. So as usual strong build vs. solos, but not SWF. But still some people say pinhead is "weak".

Umm... Could be that you are not that good at tracking?
If you hear gens that have been worked on then search the area, that could be a good starting point for new players. Juts look around corners and behind walls or crates etc, or in bushes depending on the map.
