Survivors have smaller hitboxes than killers. This is intentional, and learning to hug an object as tight as possible without getting stuck is a skill for survivors.
It isn't really a skill all the walls in the entity's realm are buttered up, Talbot can attest to that, and it isn't the hitbox's that cause this so much as it is the pov difference. if killers had a third person view looping would be much less of an issue because the killer would also be able to grate their face into a wall while chasing. (not that I am suggesting to do that I am just saying).

I feel something has to be done because in the movies the whole ordeal is to NOT want to be asleep because its bad, though they do try to fight him when he is asleep so maybe make it so he can't be flashlighted or stunned if you aren't asleep. Though there needs to be some pressing issue while being asleep, I am partial to the slowdown but there are other options. It doesn't have to be a direct consequence to the survivors either. It could be something like the more survivors asleep the faster he is and the faster he breaks pallets, I don't really know I am just throwing Ideas out because it needs to be something.

I wouldn't say survivors are supposed to be 'normal humans', they can run nonstop without needing to catch their breath, they all somehow know how to repair generators (I guess you kinda learn to do that after a while), most of them have perks of seeing auras and other 'psychic' stuff. Also lets not forget that they can be hit by a chainsaw, put on a meathook and then get better by having their back rubbed.
In regards to running you would be surprised how far someone can push themselves when faced with death. The aura thing I will give you but the back rubs is just lazy game design.
-
I agree, give my man some love. After all we paid money for him only to be disappointed. I feel there needs to be more incentive to not be asleep other than diet clown snares and ok fake pallets.

Yes, I personally think all the killers should be buffed. Also she's the best chaser but blight has better map pressure on most maps.

I only do it to someone teabagging etc, and that's if I'm not playing ghostface because then I can just do it back(Though even then I only do it if they're the last survivor, Im not about to waste time. and if its a map with breakable walls or a killer who can use their power to farm points then I do that instead). If its unjustified, as in you aren't being toxic so you dont deserve the treatment back, It's just them being childish like teabagging at the exit gate.

I love playing hag, I would say she's one of my mains (in that I never play games and have one "main" ive got 2 or 3 who I play a lot and consider my main) I agree that she is very underrated.

For clarify some things: Yes, I know that survivors are boring the majority of times, don't get me wrong. Im a killer main, I know that is so frustrating and boring going against the same 6 perks all the matches, and that's why I try different perks and things in both sides: I don't run DH or DS or even CoH (only exception being BT, because I don't want my teammates to die in hooks), because those perks are super annoying to face against. I like Tenacity, Distorsion, those kind of things
Im not talking bad about Blight players as an "Entitled survivor main", but I have been playing survivor to complete some rift challenges and that's why I started to noticing the Blight thing. I know that a lot of Blight players are super good at the game, but the majority of those Blight players have the same things and I just noticed it
Im also confused because the devs nerfed twins addons because some pros were super with them, ignoring the low and medium mmr players. So...why Blight didn't? I saw some people talking about this much before I did, so it was a problem to a lot of people that they still didn't changed, wich just makes me confused lol
But after that, I aprecciate all your responses, it helps me a lot tbh, and maybe I should try meta perks and addons maybe (nah Im kidding lol, I like to play addonless)
Hope you all of you the best! :D
I see, I get it. I am a killer main as well and every time I used to play survivor it was spirit before the nerf. I really feel that the meta for everyone is stagnant. It's so fun when a killer or survivors have some oddball perks and want to have fun. Survivors memeing is fairly common when playing against demo I've found. The problem arises that the way the game is made the killers have limited options if they want an assured way to win often. A good team of survivors on coms can with a little challenge still beat a killer with no perks. But a lot of killers who haven't given up on winning and are just having fun can still win without perks but it is tenfold more difficult compared to survivors on coms. solo q is a different story because your teammates usually hide in corners across the map.I think the game itself is stagnant.

-
High mmr survivors are good, but they're all the same.
Gone against high mmr survivors for awhile now and they all use the same pool of like 8 perks. As well as there almost always being the bnp or styptic.
I would fall down dead of a heart attack if I had match without dead hard. It isn't a broken perk but its boring when everyone uses it.
etc.
etc.
etc.
I don't see a difference between your grievances and the above ones. It is still a valid point, but is a double edges sword as well. Most, if not all, every grievance of monotony or pure meta builds can be said for survivors as well.
(Though for the record I play blight and usually bring meme builds because the game is no longer fun if you try to win so I just have fun.)

killers already have so much stuff basekit
a weapon
a power
most are faster than survivors(from what i know)
they get help from the entity making the window get blocked after 3 vaults
they get bloodlust if they spend too much time trying to catch someone...
and of course... the Killer version Dead Hard that allows every killer to dash forward and attack
like? isn't that already enough? do all of them really need to be even faster than they already are?
i think maybe only some of them might need a speed boost if they struggling too much but not all of them
killers already have so much stuff to their basekit and survivors have to use perk slots to do even the most basic things ever or to counter really stupid things killers can do without needing perks
if survivors could do more stuff in theirs basekit you wouldn't see them just running all the time
unfortunately that's all a survivor can do sometimes... "hold W"
(also why don't you just say "running" instead of "holding W"? that happens so much in this community "oh just pressing E, oh just holding W"
you can do the same with killers, just holding W and holding M1 a lot of the time, that's called using the controls the game gives you)
I say "holding w" because it has a different affect than saying "running". When I say "holding w" it elicits a more disdainful response from people who play killer and survivors, for example, indignation at the phrase. Also "running" doesn't fit as a proper descriptor considering you also run at loops. I'd have to say "running forward" or "running directly away from the killer" both of which are longer. Or I could just say the universally understood "hold w" Short, sweet, and to the point.

@fulltonon said:
I think more like survivors should get something like stamina system, which heals quickly while not sprinting but don't have much, so they has to do more looping instead of shift+w.
I concede that that's probably a better idea than mine. though there's no way either idea will happen due to the community.

@Superyoshiegg said:
No.
There's already a noticeable difference in the 5% between 110 and 115. Making them even faster is an unnecessary flat Killer buff, and would make Killers like Trickster, Clown, Blight and Nemesis unbearable to go against.
Focus on buffing individual underperforming Killers instead of giving the entire role a flat buff that would just cause problems amongst the roster.
Have you played against a blight? lol. For the most part he isn't relying on his normal speed, provided he knows how to use his power, rather the rush which wouldn't be affected by 5% that much considering the second rush with a crow is 236% (rather than the 230% base kit) As well as trickster wouldn't be unbearable considering he gets countered by looping still. It'd just make him tougher to play against. Nemesis is a 3 health state killer, and with out speed add ons (may favorite) his zombies are a mild nuisance. 5% wouldn't make him a monster. I don't really have anything to say about clown, he's clown haven't played against one in like 7 months.

The game is more of an action horror game. Depending on how you play it. Those kind of games stop being scary after so long. Play any modern resident evil game and it's the exact same effect. Spooky at first but once you learn to defend yourself you start having more fun doing that and it loses its fear factor.
I have to disagree, not with your overall point I think it holds some weight but with resident evil being scary at all. Those games had a nice atmosphere but I never thought they were scary. The scariest thing was getting poisoned lol.

And getting gen grabbed by Ghostface made me still jump sometimes.
I think that the worst for me is playing against double speed add on pwyf blight with undetectable to just turn the camera and have not time to react to the bullet train headed your way lol.

To clarify, being Broken for 80 seconds is a strong effect. In fact in a way it’s a stronger version of Exposed because a Broken survivor is guaranteed to be downed on any damage, not just basic attacks, so being Broken is like making the survivor Exposed+ for 80 seconds.
The main hitch is the trigger condition can be tricky against solo survivors who don’t interact much with each other when you’re around. If survivors ignore each other except to unhook while you’re in a chase then you probably won’t get any Protection hits. So the perk is definitely aimed at groups that like to Bodyblock or use Borrowed Time for hook trades when you’re nearby. Fortunately there’s no shortage of players like that, so I’ve found it actually does trigger more often than I thought it would.
The main threat really though is because survivors don’t even have the option to heal that means they’ll do gens because what else are they going to do? So while on the one hand being Broken negates Circle of Healing, for example, it also loses that indirect slowdown effect from the survivor taking time to heal. Therefore in order to work well you have to be a killer player who is able to follow up and down injured survivors relatively efficiently to make up for the fact that you are forcing them to just sit and do gens all game. So if you’re a killer player who finds themselves running into survivors who you can never catch even though they’re injured, the fact they didn’t heal won’t help. You have to be fairly good at catching good runners to be able to fully capitalize on this perk.
Finally that all leads to the question of does the perk need a buff? Hard to say since you’d really need to drill into the data on matches with and without the perk to compare the difference. It’s quite possible this is a perk that average players don’t get much benefit from since they can’t down injured survivors efficiently enough, but stronger players can do well with and it could work especially well on particular killers. If it did need a buff it would probably be easing the trigger condition versus making the effect last longer since it’s the trigger that’s the main weak point, not the duration or the Broken effect itself.
You make some good points however I disagree to some degree. I used to run a meme build; forced penance, thanataphobia, sloppy, and a wildcard having to do with being injured like blood echo, hysteria, etc. It worked ok but required my entire build to be around it, obviously not meta. I disagree that it's better than exposed because while I agree that you get to find injured survivors better, injured survivors get access to the infamous dead hard as well as other related perks like resilience, felix's perk that I can't remember (to heal others not themselves obviously) or this is not happening (though thats not a big worry considering no one uses it)

Yes, the really old maps had a way better feeling. They looked better and had more atmosphäre.
However, I dont think that Moon Offerings should make a comeback. Moon Offerings meant that Developers had to keep different lightnings in mind all the time. E.g. they were not able to make a really dark map, because an Offering for darkest moonlight might make it too dark. Same the other way around.
However, the current maps are more bright than Maps back in the day with brightest Moonlight:
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Moonlight
Looking at the picture with the Full Moon Bouquet, this is way darker than current Maps. And this was brightest moonlight back then...
A few years ago I was already joking that it feels more like "Dead in Daylight" and not like "Dead by Daylight", because the Maps are so bright. Then they released Dead Dawg Saloon, which is really bright. Coldwind, which is in Daylight... And the newest Map is also super-bright.
I would really enjoy having more dark Maps, however, the Devs are against it for some reason.
I hate how bright it is. I actually have a few bouquets on some characters still, they arey most prized possession.

As someone who has pre ordered the game but only got into it right before huntress was released, I will grant that the moon offerings did give the matches a variant of different type of atmosphere. With that said however, i sometimes thought it could get too dark sometimes to see anything on the maps plus darkest moon offering helped hiding darken bear traps, so that could be annoying when that happened.
Also I never found the old base atmosphere of the maps to be that great, mainly I found the tint to be unappealing to look at, especially on autohaven, Springwood and macmillan. So I'm perfectly fine with a shift away from the old atmosphere and look in exchanged for what we have now.
The only thing I do miss is the old father campbell's church map, I liked the brightly colored light from clown's area and the color tone inside the church itself.
I loved the tinted color palettes they were my favorite thing about the maps, rip blue macmillan.

That was all before my time, but I am still quite scared from time to time in game. Maybe I am just a sweet innocent flower who takes it too seriously. Because when I am in challenge mode, let's be real, ain't nobody got time to be scared.

You would die a lot more. The current state of the game isn't balanced for hide and seek, it's balanced for chases. Being unable to look around corners, or look around you while working on gens, is extremely dangerous.

Looking at DBD’s wiki the flashlight and crouching Hag counters were not how she originally released, they were patched In later because of survivors complaining she was too OP. 😑 so i doubt they’ll go back on that decision after so long.
As annoying as clicky clicky flashlights squads are there are ways around it.
never placing your traps in front of them.
placing traps in hard to see locations like grassy areas or corners of doorways. The trap radius is big enough that you don’t have to place them in a direct view of a path (also trap radius outlines are visible after placing them).
adapting play style away from insta teleporting to every tripped traps (good survivors know how to annoy you by tripping traps to get Agro away from teammates)
never chase as Hag when it means leaving your trapped area.
I love Hag, as my main her counters are annoying but create a unique and fun challenge when dealing with survivors who know how to counter her. My issue is mainly with many of her addons, which do very little to aid her. Some of which are completely debilitating to her power.
I was there when she was first released and honestly I prefer her now, oh boy those addons. I used to main hag, till I got tired of bring looped, I still play her with regularity because she is one of the few killers with good originality in her power and she is super fun. Like I said

But then I have to adapt my build which is ok I guess but then I can't meme build as effectively, and last minute switches prevent that but I've never been one to dodge. I never really had a problem with the mechanic until stuff like that happened.
I don't on a regular basis have any reservations on the counter because it's rather niche but when you can't set up or use her ability it is unfun, not that you can't work around or still kill them it's just very arduous.

Pyramid head
x2 range (I mean what other addons would you use?)
Sloppy
Forced penance
Thanataphobia
Nurse's or some other healing related perk for the slot (sometimes I switch out sloppy too)
It is by no means a meta op 4k every game perk but I enjoy it. Basically it's just built around forced penance.
