Now as someone who's been playing since the game came out I can attest to having put up with a lot of abuse from this game. But much like someone in an abusive relationship I think I've finally had enough. I've dealt with all the terrible parts of dbd over the years on both sides. And I still played when dead hard was hands down the best perk in the game for years . I still played when there3 comments 131 views last activity

The title, partly because the vault "nerf" where survivors can just break the laws of physics, walk through you, and vault before you can do anything about it sucks. But also because people are so convinced you can't do anything against ghoul (despite that you can, just walk around the rock or don't vault right in front of them or vault back while theyre trying to do so among other things) that i8 comments 182 views last activity

I both love and hate the perk because it's a crutch. As killer its annoying to be taken perfectly to every window and pallet without the survivor needing any effort on their part to think on their feet. (Especially since it doesn't have a cooldown like it used to for some godforsaken reason) However bringing blindness makes it absolutely hilarious. (Side note, can we get some more blindness per50 comments 831 views last activity

AAs the title says the perk is terrible. Now I often enjoy using a bad perk to use because its funny (and it catches survivors/killers off guard) And I have gotten value out of it in some very rare cases, but for the most part the killer has almost no reason to be around completed gens. (Save for the off chance its inbetween a patrol) I mean you could teleport as freddy to a completed gen or3 comments 151 views last activity

Now if you want to nerf the blight thats fine but I feel that its going the wrong way. Making him a 4.4 killer is an... interesting decision but not the issue I have. My issue is the charges being drained when you break a pallet. Now I do understand the ghoul having her power put on cooldown after breaking a pallet because I can just grab you right after. But the blight still needs to bounce off2 comments 61 views last activity

It's been 10ish years since this game came out and people have wanted vc for survivors since then. The only reason I can see why not is because it would cost money to implement and moderate. Because "it's not the intended way to play the game" doesn't really hold when you can just get on discord with a swf. (if it wasn't intended to be played that way then they'd have to remove swf entirely. And14 comments 181 views last activity

So the deathslinger has two addons, the gold creek whiskey and wanted poster, that reduce his terror radius while ads. If you bring those with monitor and abuse how does it calculate that? (live servers, not diminishing returns) Does it (32-12)0.75 = 15m or 32×.75-12 =12m?3 comments 62 views last activity

So I've been saying since the ghoul came out that there is counterplay and if you think there is a lack of it then it is a skill issue. And I stand by this despite them letting survivors phase through your collision mesh and also everyone saying there is no counterplay. I've been playing this game since it came out, I've played a large amount of nurse and I'm here to have you consider something.10 comments 222 views last activity

Now the point tech has been in the game since it came out, and recently I filed a bug report about it. Only for the devs (Or as I am convinced an ai they have handle bug reports because of the cookie cutter responses) to say this "feature" was "working as intended". So when do killers get a point tech equvilent? let me cancel my hit animation early, seems fair, no?0 comments 61 views last activity

Ok so I read the patch notes and they were kind of vague about what exactly diminishing returns effects. So I assume if I stack pwyf and batteries included that is effected. But what if I bring pwyf and windstorm for wraith? Or two trap setting speed addons for hag? Does it effect if I bring 4 window vault speed perks? (Is 4 of them good? no, but it is funny) If so I don't really know how to feel2 comments 91 views last activity

Now everyone is mad about the ghoul and weve nerfed her ability to vault since survivors can now walk through your collision mesh. Give me back my vaulting auto attack and in return you the ghoul gets bumped down to 4.4. Thoughts?2 comments 111 views last activity

You know I've been thinking about the ghoul vault changes and I think I'd be ok with them if I could walk through survivors with endurance. After all its the same thing, its a free hit for the other survivor and is thereby unfair.3 comments 62 views last activity

Survivors being able to walk through goul vaults is terrible since it actively punishes me for using my power in chase. Whether intended or not. I dislike it so ai am going to keep making noise about it until it is fixed.6 comments 111 views last activity

First things first: After seeing the recent changes they're planning to make I'm confused. Let's just cut out the middle man and add voice chat for the survivors, then people can stop complaining about solo q and we don't have to do the weird roundabout letting you see what killer it is mid match thing. Speaking of cutting things out, remove the basekit unhook endurance/haste. People want to co2 comments 81 views last activity

So I was checking the mailbox in dead by daylight and saw the mail trying to bribe me with 4.5k iri shards to make a bhvr account so they can spam my email with targeted ads. And while I'm not surprised that they want to do that, I'm just kind of flabbergasted that they were actually honest about what they were doing. So I hadn't played ghoul in awhile and was playing them today and had to go read the patch notes. Why, to reiterate, why in gods name does the ghoul no longer indur survivors after a power vault. Survivors can literally just run through you and vault back over the pallet, though not windows it seems, before you can even attack. so you end up just wasting your own time at that point. So I was looking at the pick rate/escape rate/ etc. post bhvr made and looking at the comments I decided to chime in on the forums since I've no idea if they actually read the steam comments (or the forums I suppose) I feel that the survivor stats are irrelevant honestly all the survivors are identical in function other than teachable perks. But moving to killer rates I find that it also doesn't3 comments 251 views last activity

So an idea I've had for awhile, and definitely wasn't stolen form a game that had a similar concept I swear, is windows that you can break the base of to make a doorway. There are several ideas I've had for implimentation of this, that could be mixed and matched. One: some windows have a chance to be a breakable window that the killer can just rock up to and break (perhaps a little slower than a2 comments 11 views last activity

So since the basekit endurance from unhooks was added I've noticed that I actually end up "tunneling" more often. Since we've got it survivors are very eager to get the save on a hooked survivor to the extent that often I won't even have enough time to walk away from the hook before someone saves them. This is further compounded by the fact that you can't grab survivors off the hook save anymore.6 comments 122 views last activity

So the idea of of the perk, regressing exit gate switch progress, is a good idea on paper. The problem is that it ends up being a worse version of terminus. So in my experience using terminus (I do enjoy the perk) you get only a little value out if everyone being broken, the main value is to force the exit gates open and begin the collapse timer. Haywire, on paper, will buy you time to down a sur2 comments 91 views last activity

So I'm a big fan of endgame builds (ex: no way out, none are free, remember me, terminus) and even when I'm not running an end game build I tend to run no way out pretty often. Now something I've noticed is that, regardless of if survivors are swf (to the best of my knowledge, it happens consistently and not every game will be a swf statistically) or not, ≈85% of the time survivors will be waitin8 comments 92 views last activity

So I can't speak to the other killers because I havent been in that exact sotuation before with them. However as the ghoul if you leap on someone, injuring or not, then hit them to down them they still get out scott free if they emote so they dont get flung from being hit. Simply because the attack cooldown takes ever so slightly longer than the exit gate blocking. So my proposal is to just exten5 comments 31 views last activity

So the animatronic has some terrible add-ons. This is mainly, but not exclusively, the two addons that increase the speed of everyone within the axe/imbedded survivors range. Making the survivor faster is terrible for you as it means theyl get to the next window/pallet faster instead ofbeing stuck in a dead zone. Plus foxy's hookwill 80% of the time just give them extra distance when you miss. Ju3 comments 61 views last activity

So normally the flame turrets are mostly fine and a mild annoyance. but if you go against a full swf they'll just keep setting them up to the next loop for their friends and its literally impossible to catch them.4 comments 82 views last activity

So I've recently come back to dbd and some of the changes just seem strange to me. Mainly the anti camping, anti tunnel, and anti slugging patches. Now I'm not one to camp, because it gives free gens, and im not one to tunnel because im usually busy doing something other than eaiting for someone to be unhooked and I'm usually not one to slug unless people are just running around a downed survivor2 comments 41 views last activity

So I've been playig a lot of ghoul (with the rize skin because my man screams too much and too loud) and while everything is mostly fine there is one issue. So sometimes I'll grab someone (a non deep wounded survivor) right in the other side of a pallet to proc my fast vault but instead itll just hit them. same thing with low loop walls (usually just trying to proc the 40sec countdown from a "f6 comments 141 views last activity

So what I mean is that its lore reads like its 'The Thing' from john carpenters "The Thing" but then its abilities seem completely unrelated to the lore. plus if it can shapeshift as needed why does it look all twisted (other than the obvios body horror angle they were going for) wouldn't it be smarter for it to look more human to "trick" survivors? So I haven't played dbd since the 7th anniversary? I yhink last I played the alien was out for like a week. Since they added base kit bt, and the little speed boost, after unhook. The unhooked survivir tends to block fo their savior who is usually full health. I know some people dont like that fact and I di think its a bit odd and an unintended consequence of attemting antitunneling mechanics. The only issue, which isn't really an issue as it tends to lead to free wins, that arises is if a unhooked sur53 comments 852 views last activity

I just wanted to put out a thank you to all the survivors who desperately want the killers attention. As a killer you are my mvp. Personally I love when a survivor wants my attention so bad that they keep following me, spam vaulting, etc. I just ignore them as, I'll be honest, about 70% of them are good loopers and time wasters. However by ignoring them they're actively being a detriment to their12 comments 271 views last activity

Dead by daylight is almost akin to a living being, as many games are. While it sounds odd just hear me out. dbd gets updates, changes, etc. from the dev team, which creates these ideas and changes. The community around dbd talks, or yells and screams, about their thoughts and ideas on changes to the game. And over time with the devs and the community the game, and the latter, evolve and grow. I enjoy hag quite a bit, the mind games and set up are very fun. However ever since made for this has come out it feels awful to play hag. For most killers who are 115 or even those who are 110 with ranged attacks or speedy abilities the 3% isn't really a big deal, I'd even go so far as to say its next to if not useless. however for hag it seems so hard to catch anyone who is injured with this pe3 comments 71 views last activity

So I mainly play killer and I am curious as to what other killers think about the "fair" way to play the game. Im discussing tactics not perks. So personally I never go out if my way to tunnel someone but if they got unhooked and its a choice between a healthy survivor or a injured one I'm going to go after the injured one (Unless the healthy one body blocks, in which case I'll just switch to the10 comments 322 views last activity

Ok so when you place your guard sometimes for a frame or two you can see survivors, however the real exploit is that when you order a guard to break a generator when a survivor is repairing it you can somehow bend the laws of time space to grab them off it cross map. I haven't read anywhere that this is intended so I assume its a bug.5 comments 211 views last activity

Now I know you've heard every killer complain about the hatch, but honestly I think it is more detrimental to survivors than anything. If a team is doing poorly against a killer a lot of immersed gamers will just wait around for their team that is actually trying to die so they can get the hatch/door escape. I think having this system in place is an encouragement to not work as a team. I feel lik104 comments 2,041 views last activity

I really like playing sadako I just find it ridiculous that right after releasing sadako they came out with a better version of her. Sure the dredge's teleport is slower across map but it is also less telegraphed and dredge has anti loop. It just makes me sad, don't get me wrong I like dredge too.9 comments 321 views last activity

Ok so I don't think I can name them because that's against the rules of the forum but there is a player who has a youtube and records/streams them hacking and ruining the game for others. even though you can't use the perk for distance, you still can. What I mean is that since you get a warning before the killer hits you you can still wait for the swing and possibly get to a pallet or force the killer to give you a speed boost. Seems like it works pretty much the same if you don't waste it and wait for the killer to swing.8 comments 171 views last activity

I feel like if you are trying to blind someone they actually have to see the light. So I feel like a flashlight should only blind if its in the killers fov. Side blinds don't make much sense.6 comments 161 views last activity

I am not proposing anything major just lessen the speed penalty for shocking with doctor. with madness being less useful due to it reverting to tier 1 (a decision I still disagree with) you lean more into the action stun. I don't think they should remove the penalty entirely (Though I sure would like it) just tweak it a bit so you are not punished for using your ability. I think survivors should only hear chase music while in a killers terror radius. I have had my surprises spoiled because a survivor just happens to be running in my fov. It's pretty frustrating.0 comments 31 views last activity

As a killer I hate when survivors finish a generator right in my face, or get off it to get hit rather than grabbed and finish it. Thankfully merciless storm can mitigate that to some degree but it doesn't help if you're walking to it when it pops with no time for a smack. My idea is basically to make a perk that triggers when a generator is completed. any survivor within 10 meters of the generat2 comments 41 views last activity

Franklins demise should effect ALL items on the ground (with chest items being unaffected until picked up and put down again.) As it is very common for people to drop their items so they don't get drained thereby countering the perk with not much downside. I rarely run the perk myself but I feel it is a big oversight.14 comments 212 views last activity

So the idea is to have a killer that is blind, and it would work something like the "dogs" from scp secret laboratory. Basically the "dogs" are blind and only see black with a white outline of the surrounding environment, so they aren't running into walls the entire game. However they can't see the human players they want to kill unless they make noise, walking, running, shooting, talking, etc.,0 comments 51 views last activity

In essence my idea is simple, you can only cleanly stich a wound a few times before it gets ragged and becomes harder to fix. I think the healing system should work on an exponential increase. So when yiu get wounded for the second time it takes a little longer to heal and after the tenth time it take a good deal longer to heal. Even with the coh nerf healing is still extremely fast. If a survivor slow vaults/interacts or jumps in a locker and you grab them out decisive shouldn't work. (You don't get grabs that often it just seems to go with locker territory.) I get decisive being anti tunneling and I am fine with it that way but when someone who has it up deliberately gets your attention because they have it, it is no longer an anti tunnel. Then they'll just jump in a locker8 comments 131 views last activity
