Any counter to Whispers would give survivors a way to hold killers hostage by stealthing around with no way for killers to find them.
Whispers doesn't pinpoint the survivor's location, it just gives the killer a general idea of the area. It can be strong during the end game, yeah, but it can still require some luck depending on hatch and exit gate placements. Survivors have still managed to escape just because the exit gate they went to was on the other side of the map.
Giving survivors an automatic 100% counter to Whispers would be bad. I swear every time I don't run Whispers I get survivors who'd rather hide than touch gens.

Laura's always been my favorite. She's my first pick. I'd love a spider-like killer in the game, though I doubt the devs want to do the necessary animations.
The Keeper would've been my second choice after Laura, and he seems the most likely given his human movements. If Pyramid Head weren't in DbD, I would've thought The Keeper would be the most likely to come over, but their appearances are so similar I think it'd be a waste.
Visually, Ruvik is the least interesting thing in Evil Within. If we can look outside bosses, I'd go for the Trauma. It's more humanish (no extra limbs) than Laura and definitely visually distinctive, though it might be too big.
(I haven't played the second game, though the creature designs are definitely less human and more Silent Hill, which while I love that I doubt the devs would want to animate those just like they wouldn't do Laura. But damn I'd love to play as Laura.)
I remember hiding in a closet from Ruvik in the mansion and actually feeling the tension, worried he'd know I was in there. That was an intense hide-and-seek moment. Too bad DbD really can't emulate that. The scene at the beginning of Evil WIthin where you have to hide in a locker was way better than any moment in a locker in a DbD match. Looking through the little slots having that very limited view is so much more effective than a third-person I-can-spin-around-the-locker-weeeee!!! view.
Hmmm, guess I went off-topic. Meh, no harm (I hope), I like The Evil Within. It had some really good atmosphere, and a glitch that actually kinda scared the crap outta me (I wasn't expecting any enemies to be walking around the village after killing the Sadist.... I still remember jumping out of my skin for that).

If this counts as tunneling, then I'm not even sure how to play killer anymore.

The first guy with the video makes a good point, and Endorb made a few good points of it can cause problems with hitboxes which are already broken and more bugs. Also, all survivors and killers are made off a base model already; the female one is Meg Thomas, i can't remember what the male one is (Jake or Dwight) and then Killer i believe is Trapper.
This can also cause problems with lockers and hooks.
Damn, yeah. The lockers are super prohibitive about how large the survivors can be. If the survivor's too big, they'd clip right through it. And the devs are not going to redo lockers (changing their size would mean a lot of work on each map) just to create a larger character model that's going to be a pain in their ass in terms of hitboxes and animations and all that.
Jane was actually glitchy when she came out, and she's just "thick" apparently. I can't imagine the problems that would come with a larger character.

I wish that was true, I've done it to, well tried it, and everytime I dh towards the killer I was just stopped by him.
And it's not as he was far away or anything, he was just waiting for the dh on my ass.
I did the animation but just against the killer like as if you dh while running against the wall, didn't move from my spot
Really? Survivors ran through me all the time when they used DH. At least, I think they did. Or they've at least run by very close to me using Dead Hard. It's difficult to tell with the 1st person POV camera, really.
I've also had latency and frame drops where I wasn't sure if the survivor Dead Harded or not. I'll turn to my friend and be like, "Was that a Dead Hard?" and he often can't tell, either.

I don't have any of these issues on PS4 my frames are great. Maybe your internet isn't that great or it's being used on different devices when your playing causing it not to run optimally. Maybe the players are just more experienced causing them to be able to spin you, I don't get spun very often but when I do I just understand that they likely have more hours and experience than me after all there's always players out there better than how I or anyone else plays.
Huge difference between frames dropping and survivors spinning. When survivors spin, they're moving and I'm moving and the world is animated. When frames drop, nothing is moving, controls don't respond, and then suddenly the view is different and things are moving again. Huge difference between an in-game move and a complete lack of movement due to frame drops.
My internet is fine. I even use a cable rather than relying on wifi like a dolt. This is the only game that has problems. Red Dead Online and Battlefront II play great. In DbD, there are a lot of in-game actions that cause frames to drop. Opening a chest is one of them. Other players can perform the action and it still causes frame drops for me.
DbD is poorly optimized. Not everyone is going to have the same issues, but a lot of console players experience these problems. Just because they don't happen to you doesn't mean they don't happen. Be happy you're one of the lucky ones.

What he's saying is that on ps5 the new Xbox and oc, the game runs at at least 60 fps while on ps4 and the old Xbox it runs at 30 fps if lucky.
It might run a little bit better at the pro versions but not by much.
I play killer to and can confirm that they are able to phase trough you due to the latency.
Yesterday i had a guy who ran into a corner when he realised that, he turned around and dh in a straith line towards me and went through me.
And i play the ps4 version on the ps5.
Yeah i know it sounds weird but that has to do with the long waiting times and the micro hud
When a survivor uses Dead Hard, they lose collision, so they can pass through the killer. Just like the way a survivor can run through a killer after the killer hits them.
-
I die accidentally all the time because I mess up the rhythm button mashing. Second state is terrible and should've been fixed a long time ago.
-
Or maybe the Medic or the Sneak.
Then again, right now I'm playing a game where I'm grinding for items I don't necessarily even need because I'm a hoarder, so whether I mean to or not I'll probably fall into the Collector role. "What, you need half a medkit to craft a tourniquet? I dunno, man, I only have thirty of these, not sure I can spare one for your little scratch." (said as bones stick every which way out of Dwight's arm)

I'm on PS4 that's not true
With the lower fps, poor optimization, frame drops, and suboptimal controls, yeah, it's true.
I'm on PS4 Pro and every time Bloodlust tiers up I lose enough frames that any attempted hit misses and sometimes the survivor outright disappears.

No thanks, I don’t want to sit around for 2 minutes waiting for some survivor to die so they can get 500 points.
The change to instantly kill everyone when the game was over was one of the best ones in a while.
He's not saying the survivor should get to play out struggle state. He's just saying that when the survivor dies, the struggle points he would've gotten if the game hadn't forced his death should be rewarded to the survivor. Which would be nice, since that's out of survivors' hands.

A killer tunneling is the equivalent of all four survivors working on one generator at a time, which is less efficient than if they split up and each work on a different gen.
Anyway, if everyone in this game were an NPC or bot or whatever, then sure, we could compare survivors to generators. But I don't think it's healthy for either side to treat the other like they're NPCs. And when survivors get their first gen done, it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. That last gen or two is where the pressure is on because the killer has a smaller area of the map to patrol. But when killers get one survivor out, that can severely swings things in the killer's favor (unless the killer camped and tunneled so hard that the survivors got all five gens done in the meantime).

actually i have some some survivor perks that question as well. like Resilience and Its not happening. both are needed to be injured. its not only killer perks.
Lots of perks have overlap, it gives players options and lets them use the one that best suits their playstyle. There are too many perks in the game for them not to overlap, but they each have strengths and weaknesses that make them unique.
Also, you don't want to nerf BBQ on downed survivors. Killers will still slug, but at the end of the match the survivor's going to be spending four minutes bleeding out instead of getting hooked and moving on.
-
This is DbD, full of some of the pettiest most spiteful people you'll ever come across. If you do one thing they don't like, they'll report you for whatever they can come up with.
-
Yup.
-
I would really like it if they implemented some way to sell unwanted items/add-ons/offerings back or gave us something else to do with them (can I trade in a Haddonfield and a Swamp offering for one The Game map offering?).

I'm sure some people are a bit more unlucky than others, but I'm also sure some people are simply more susceptible to negativity bias than others. To some one bad game can practically delete the memory of 20 "normal" games before it, no matter what that means to them. Others might get annoyed during the bad game, but they've already pretty much forgotten it by the time they're loading into another game.
This is almost unavoidable due to negativity bias. It's pretty much built in to the human species.
I will say, I often get a lot of bad matches in a row, both as survivor and killer. I'll have match after match getting tunneled and camped. Or I'll have match after match of just miserable-to-play-against survivors. But then other days I'll have lots of good matches. It's one of those things.
-
Dull key should let one survivor escape. Skeleton key should let multiple survivors escape. Or both only allow one survivor to escape and an iridescent add-on (so no finding it in a chest) allows multiple survivors to escape.
Also change the hatch to only spawn when one survivor is left (in which case it will spawn open) or when all five gens are done. No more multiple survivors escaping without finishing all the gens. No more hatch campers. DCing to give someone the hatch becomes a lot less viable. There's no good reason for the hatch to spawn when the number of gens done = number of survivors left + 1. It just encourages unhealthy gameplay.
But when are the devs actually going to change keys? We have no idea, and I doubt they'll tell us early.
-
Oh, is that what they've been saying? I could never tell, none of them seemed to speak English, just gibberish like "usuk tunnlr reportd lol" Thank you for the translation (and here's an upvote).
-
I've let killers kill me. I often offer it to farming killers, and they'll usually turn it down. If a killer played really nicely and didn't tunnel, I might "screw up" so that they kill me (rather than possibly insult them by pointing at a hook like I'm taking pity on them). I've memed with baby Nurses and what not during the EGC so that the entity kills me. Things like that.
Every once in a while as killer a survivor offers to let me kill them or stays behind and dies to the EGC. Usually after a farming match, but sometimes for other reasons. It's pretty rare, though.
-
I've done it. Hell, against obvious newbie killers who were seriously struggling and I realized pretty quickly the matchmaking had screwed them, I'd give myself up and then they'd tunnel me right off the hook, anyway. So, I don't do it. Keep the chase going or juke them.
-
I'm always negative on every survey. I mean, not just negative to be negative, I'm being honest, and it's always constructive criticism. I'm a horror enthusiast, so for some things (like lore) I can point out why it doesn't work and how to fix it. Doesn't matter, though, they don't seem to understand game balance, horror, or how to write for digital media.
-
Where's "other"?
Taunting to get the killer to chase you is a tactic, I don't necessarily consider that toxic. Even I've tried to do it to get the attention of a tunneling killer.
Usually what I find toxic are survivors who treat a nice killer like trash. If I was extremely nice and didn't tunnel or slug the survivor off the hook, running between me and the person I'm chasing and trying to trick me into eating the DS is a dick move. I mean, if they don't like killers who play nice, then I guess fine, message received? Whenever survivors do that kind of stuff, that's it, I don't care if there are still 5 gens life, I'm going afk at the exit gate. Maybe they prefer a diehard killer to a nice killer, but I always wonder if they prefer a no killer gen-repair sim to a nice killer, too, since that's what they get.
I will say I hate it when survivors finish gens in my face, but to be honest I do that when I play survivor, too, so... it's just part of the game. But I do hate it.
-
Hellraiser should get its own game. It'll be like Operation (the board game) but as a video game where you torture the ever-loving crap out of people dumb enough to solve the box.
I think it'd be laughable to see Pinhead walking through a cornfield, so I'd rather not see him in DbD. Now Candyman, he'd fit into the world of DbD just fine.
-
Even with Plunderer's Instinct, I often get a lot of crappy items.
What I'd like to see is, with both Plunderer's and Appraisal equipped, the survivor can see the aura of any open chest they haven't rummaged through if they still have tokens left. Sucks to have Appraisal and I can't find the last chest to rummage through just because it's open.
As killer, I'm cool with survivors running a synergistic chest-looting build. That's two or three perk slots dedicated to wasting time rummaging in chests. That's perk slots they're not using for way more annoying perks. And they're guaranteed to be spending lots of time looking for and looting chests, time during which they're not repairing gens.
Some items need fixing, but the chest looting is fine. If they're running those three perks they're practically (if not totally) meme-ing.

What I have been saying for a long time now, we do like mori's, they represent the source material, they are awesome but they have to be fair to a certain extend.
I dont want to equipe items or perks to get access to a mori animation, that is boring af.
Just make it so that when 1 survivor is remaining and all the gens are done, the killer can mori that survivor (no matter the hooks), if you down them they are dead anyway so why not go out with a bang?
^ This. The Cypress Mori is a terrible offering but as part of regular gameplay it'd be cool.
There also need to be more mori animations. Some of the older ones are very boring, and all animations get stale after a while considering each killer only has the one.

My absolute favorite movie is John Carpenter's The Thing. That stands above everything else.
My other favorites (in no particular order) are
- Alien
- Aliens
- The Birds
- Battle Royale
- Inception
- Die Hard with a Vengeance
- The Dark Knight
- The Empire Strikes Back
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

I used to main Spirit, but I've always had trouble tracking via sound in this game, so I relied mostly on scratch marks and collision. The audio keeps getting worse and she no longer has collision. I barely ever touch her anymore.
I haven't seen Spirit much when I play survivor, either.
Edit: I forgot to mention that scratch marks often act kinda weird, too, especially since dedicated servers. Sometimes they show up super late. Plus, scratch marks have always been difficult to see on some maps, like Ormond.
-
Some of us just plateau. I can't seem to get better at looping. I just can't. I've watched videos on how to play tiles and when I'm in the middle of a match it's all just forgotten. Sometimes I manage to juke during a chase, but unless I'm against a rank 20 I go down quickly if I try to loop.
I don't blame the game, though. It's on me. Different games have different things I just can't seem to get better at, and for DbD it's been looping.

@TripleSteal said:
According to the information you provided, you lost the match and your rank was adjusted accordingly.
Escape =/= victory. Hatch BP reward is an RNG consolation prize and it doesn't change the fact that the match is lost. In your case, you didn't contribute enough to your team's performance, too.
I really wish the devs would do something to make the hatch seem less like a win and more like the consolation prize it is. Like, if all the gens haven't been completed, the hatch leads to a tunnel full of thorns so on the end-game screen the survivor is bloody and crawling instead of running to freedom.
Half the time when I get the hatch, the killer gives it to me. Literally carries me to it and drops me on the thing. That's not a survivor win.
-
Gonna be honest, can't watch the clip at the moment, but I want to say that I kinda understand that while making the entire game colorblind-player-friendly might be difficult, they should at least make sure the HUD is fine for colorblind players. That's super simple, especially since it's colorblind-friendly right now. If the PTB HUD goes live, colorblind players should raise a huge stink about it. It's one thing for a game to have trouble taking a step forward and another for it to take a step backward.

NOED is always a terrible choice as a killer because you never want to be getting to endgame in the first place.
And with the amount of keys flying around these days you are not even guaranteed to have any endgame to play with anyways.
Oh no, NOED isn't a good choice unless you're specifically running an end-game build, and if you want to make absolute sure you make it to the end game then you have to get each survivor on death hook while making sure no one dies. That's such a pain (I did it for Tome challenges).

So a survivor should make it easy to catch them at end game? Like it's a good counter for No end. Honestly survivors feel way bout BBQ&Chili and nurses call but I have only seen them complain about NOED
As killer, it does suck to be in the middle of a chase and the injured survivor suddenly gets a heal and Sprint Burst. Or a survivor is immediately healthy upon being unhooked. Adrenaline also encourages survivors to double down on gens and not heal. I know that's how I play when I run Adrenaline, just focus on the gen 'cause I'll get healed automatically.
And to clarify something, NOED is the counter to Adrenaline. Adrenaline heals a survivor one health state and gives them a burst of speed. NOED makes the killer permanently faster and gives them an insta-down, negating Adrenaline's heal. NOED has to exist because Adrenaline exists.

lol it ain't enough any more, not event he 1.5 is enoughf or some people either probably. The next patch it won't be anyways. Just see if they can port the bots from mobile, they don't need to make em for survivors, only for killers and to replace the killers that dc too maybe. That's a lot less work thatw ay, and they would only have to focus the AI on one role and they could fine tune it to the survivor rulebook even for great justice/
Nope, 1.5x BP is not enough.
Hmmm, I wonder if they'll ever implement bots. It'd be easier for them to at least try bribery first, but they really want to keep a stranglehold on their Bloodpoint economy. And they really don't seem to like giving out shards.
I've seen one of the mods say their killer queues are longer than their survivor queues and therefore the long survivor queues are an isolated issue and not a most-players issue. I'm sure queue times are affected by region and time, but I'm curious to know how it is in the major regions (especially at peak times).

lol if that happened I would load up on wraith for rift xp and take every swf lobby I suspected, maybe even look for some, hoping for at least one party streamer just to dc right as soon as the map fully loaded just to waste their streamer lmfao. I would rotate back and forth between steam and psn while watching tv to work around the dc timers until they got long enough to call it a day and try again in 24 hours until it came time to skip a day and let it reset early. they're killing their own game with their entitlements.
I would never condone this. Also, you'd have to give it a minute or so before disconnecting, because if you do it too quickly I think it counts as "match canceled" and will give them back their offering. I've had the game "match canceled" me after cleansing a totem and going on to start a gen.

BBQ is discussed a lot because new survivors like to target it as being OP. I'm not sure if survivors really believe that, though, as I just saw another thread where a survivor was saying Bloody Party Streamers and other Bloodpoint offerings shouldn't apply to killers, but all killer BP offerings should apply to survivors. It's kind of looking like survivors just want to take Bloodpoints away from killers out of spite, because I guess the killer queues are so overflowing with players that it wouldn't matter if there's even less incentive to play.
Is this thread really happen?

Big words from someone who thinks keys (used to end a match early) are okay but BBQ (used to help killers interact with all 4 survivors and play the game while earning much needed Bloodpoints) is overpowered.
I used to mostly play survivor. Now I can't really play anything other than killer because queues are too long. That burns out quick. It's not fun to be stuck playing one role constantly. So, right now, I'm playing a different game entirely.
Maybe you haven't read the forums enough, but a lot of the people here play both roles or mostly survivor because survivor is the more laid back role, and a lot of us don't feel like sweating it out trying to juggle four survivors constantly. Even memeing as killer gets stale after a while.
-
I put on Brutal Strength, Surveillance, Discordance, and possibly Enduring for this challenge. Surveillance was the big winner in the bunch, but they're all useful towards getting it. Just get to a gen, kick it, see it turn yellow three seconds after you start walking away, go back and kick it again, repeat ad nauseam. Breaking pallets when you can is good, too, but I think I focused as much as I could on kicking gens. Too many survivors would try to loop instead of just throwing the damn pallet down, and if they did that then screw 'em, I'm done with them for the match. (I was already obviously throwing the game by focusing on kicking gens.)
-
After the mori nerf, a lot of killers saw a huge uptick in the number of keys in their lobbies. So, they started equipping Franklin's. Before the mori nerf, I very rarely went up against Franklin's when playing survivor.
This isn't killers' fault, this is happening because moris and keys weren't nerfed at the same time. Killers used to counter keys with moris, now they're countering keys with Franklin's. Maybe they're continuing to use Franklin's even without keys in their lobbies because they find Franklin's amusing, but I almost never saw it on any killer other than Bubba before the mori nerf because in most cases it's a wasted perk slot.

Why is it such a killer crutch? Just take it away for a patch cycle. See what happens. Sure there will be grief campers who will get gen down. Sorry but seems like a very viable perk. Hook one, know where others are. The bonus points claim is flimsy. It’s discussed a lot and it sure as heck shows up a LOT....
Not using BBQ means killers' loadouts will be freed up for a much more useful perk. Perhaps something more annoying like Ruin, or more deadly like Devour Hope. Or, they could replace it with one of the much better tracking perks.
A Nurse's Calling to see when survivors are healing. That one's especially annoying on killer's with a small TR, it's difficult to know when it's safe to heal. Bitter Murmur shows the auras of survivors next to a gen each time a gen is completed, and it shows all the survivors' auras when the final gen pops. (At least BBQ rewards the killer for doing their job. Bitter Murmur rewards the killer with info for survivors doing their job.) Deerstalker for slugged survivors, which means the killer's going to slug the crap outta everyone. I hate those matches as survivor, they are infinitely boring. I'm All Ears, which can really prevent survivors from juking killers during a chase. Finally there are the gen perks, Discordance shows when 2+ survivors are working on a gen and Surveillance shows when survivors start work on a regressing generator.
Of all those, BBQ is almost the weakest tracking perk, only outdone possibly by Deerstalker which requires a slugging strat to be useful. BBQ requires the killer to do their job and hook survivors to get use out of it. It requires more effort to use than any of those other tracking perks and it has more counters.
They goofed with 1.5x when it should have been straight double bloodpoints, a few more might have pulled themselves out of survivor queue an dloaded up bbq in that case. I'm honestly surprised the situation is so bad that even a bp event isn't easing up on survivor queue time by the sound of it.
I'm one of those people that plays whichever role has a shorter queue (which lately is usually killer), but I've been taking a break for a while... the 1.5x BP event has not enticed me to return to the game. My break continues. Not sure I'd bother for double BP, either, but I'm definitely not bothering for 1.5.
-
I've had some fun moments from survivors who refuse to leave.
I open an exit gate, then I go stand at the other one and guard it. It's my exit gate. You will be surprised the number of survivors who will come over and try to open it.
Don't leave the gate. If you grab someone off, just drop them, don't let their friends use it as an opportunity to open it. I've had many survivors die to the EGC either slugged at the closed gate or as they try to run back to the other gate.
You can also put on Bloodwarden for extra effect. Wait until the EGC timer is down to like 1/3 or 1/4, then hook someone. Let them make the rescue, don't slug or hook anyone else. Doesn't even matter if they open that second gate, they're not leaving through it. 😈
I never do anything toxic, but survivors so often refuse to leave until the last second. I refuse to go to their gate, and if they come to mine then at least it's entertaining.

Yep, it's boring and not needed in early game. Any killer who relies on slugging early on needs to to take a long shower to wash off some of the sweat. Hopped on Survivor today and it's a bunch of BM'ing sweaty killers. Like the blood hunt is going on and obviously that Nea is a new player thrown into a high rank match, you don't need to 4 man slug and make the game as boring as it possibly can be. Also there seems to be no such thing as chill Spriits or Huntresses. They always smell a mile away.
Dumb for killers to slug during a BP event. You get BP for hooking and not a damn thing for slugging. And matches should be long enough for the killer to get lots of chase points (and if you're me, running Distressing, you max out Deviousness by pointlessly spamming Spirit's or Blight's power, which due to cooldowns requires time).
Killers can get 29k base without killing anyone and fewer than 10k Bloodpoints when playing sweaty. Chill matches can get soooo much more BP.

Whilst this is true, doing that wouldn't stop people from forcing the killer to take the DS by body blocking and taunting and the like. With UB, the notorious combo which I'm sure someone will be annoyed at me for bringing up, ignoring the DS after moving them out the way is still problematic as it wastes the killers time because of one perk completely undoing up to about 30-40 seconds of the killers work, which is massive
If someone's body blocking, they're not doing gens, and while they're annoying they can be slugged. If they brought UB and pick themselves back up, then they're wasting their UB. If the survivor throws themself in front of you and you down them, then you didn't waste much time.
I mean, I've had that kind of thing happen. Like once when I was playing nice, and I was chasing someone as they went for an unhook. I didn't slug the person who just got unhooked, I just continued the chase... so the unhooked person ran over and inserted themselves in the chase, vaulting over a pallet back and forth back and forth hoping I'd accidentally grab them. If there was the chase activation requirement, I imagine they would've just run around for a few seconds before they began repeatedly vaulting the pallet to make sure their DS activated.
The problem is, killers would be able to get around the DS activation requirement of being in a chase. And playing solo survivor, given how few people run BT (I'm the only one who ever runs BT in my matches, so I always get to die because of unsafe unhooks, yay), DS is their only safeguard against getting farmed off the hook. Solo survivor already sucks, making it more miserable by giving survivors no way to help themselves if their teammates decide to farm them would be hurting people who are already having miserable matches 90% of the time.
Stealth killers already counter BT while camping the hook, and this change would allow them to counter DS while still tunneling. The devs would have to introduce a new perk if they don't want every solo survivor to just auto-suicide against Wraith.

I would love this change, but I am pretty sure it will affect solo experience in a very negative way. Some individuals will not work on a gen since doing so will leave them vulnerable, and instead they will run around killers, ruining games for players of both sides.
Survivors already do that. As killer, I'd much rather see survivors not do gens than deal with survivors who hop right back on the gen immediately after getting unhooked, and when I go to slug them it instead makes a grab (I lunged dammit, I lunged!) and they get to DS me and pop the gen in my face. As a survivor, I feel bad for killers when I'm playing survivor and see other survivors pull that crap. The killer gets punished for doing exactly what they need to be doing. I always hope those survivors get tunneled out when I see it happen.

Sounds like something the killer could try to get around/abuse. Deep Wounds used to be affected by chase, but killers found a way around that and now Deep Wounds doesn't go down as long as the survivor is running.
DS should just deactivate if the survivor does anything like touch a gen or go for a hook save. If they're furthering the objective, they're not being tunneled, and if they're making an unsafe hook save then the killer should be able to punish it. This would put the deactivation of DS in the survivor's hands, just like the Deep Wounds timer is in the survivor's hands.

No one's gonna stop you from tunneling. It's not fun for the survivors, and the survivor(s) who get tunneled out that match just become more likely to equip DS in their next matches. But there are no actual rules against tunneling.

Tbh, I want friday the 13th the game with DBD characters. Imagine every killer having more then one special move.
I want environmental kills! Hooking is suuuuper boring, the EGC death animation is way better. Not even all the mori animations are that interesting, the EGC death beats a bunch of them.

If it’s not OP why is it heavily used. Why is it heavily discussed. Not buying the BP bonus. Use kindred and watch killer scan after a hook and hone in. Not fun playing a ONi or Hilly illy with this Iwin perk. Pretty much have to play assuming they are using it and like poster said position near a locker, climb in count to 5 while they are on the hook and climb out. If it’s not OP why is it used soooooooo much. Looks damm OP to me. Play without it then. Seems like almost a crutch for far too many killer mains.
But without it my BP build is crap. What's the point of running Beast of Prey and Distressing and not BBQ? I'll end with like 25k BP at most, which is not worth the time it takes to play a full match.
Killer doesn't reward enough BP for the amount of effort required. Tell the devs to have BBQ's BP bonus be basekit instead and I'll stop running it.
