  • Man YES I hope they consider adding him in the future. Now that we got Pyramid Head, Springtrap is the killer I hope for the most :(

I assume they meant auric cells. Which sounds like a good idea to be honest, especially for in the future if your friends are on different platforms

Omg then yes, I wish it was a thing!

  • Where is Steve?!?!

    Bald Dwight best Dwight

  • Being blinded while breaking a pallet has never affected my chases unless the flashlight was equipped with those thingies to extend the time the blindness lasts, which is rare, so...

  • Dwight's perks are all useful. In fact it's the perks I run the most.

  • I always call her Heather :P

  • I play two male survivors (Steve and Dwight) and a female one (Jane) so yeah

  • Out from this list, Doc. But I'd actually delete Deathslinger without the shadow of a doubt nor remorse of any ######### kind.

  • I like the Silent Hill map because it's Silent Hill (and because it's full of Silent Hill easter eggs that I love).

Other than that I absolutely despise all indoor maps, both as survivor and as killer.

  • DC penalty is fine but Behavior needs to work on disconnection errors asap. Some friends of mine have reached 15 minutes DC penalties solely from being kicked out of matches due to game errors and stuff ---not from ragequitting, not from a bad internet connection. That shows you how frequently these errors are happening.

DC penalty as a mechanic to punish quitters is a good concept, but this game is WAY too full of stupid errors that kick you out from games for it to work properly right now.

And idk about you guys but I've noticed these errors have become way more common since that mid-chapter update we had some time ago. Ever since then the game has been so damn buggy.

Editing to add that earlier today a friend of mine who was playing as survivor got a penalty after the KILLER disconnected. She has a screenshot and everything. That's how buggy this thing is, lol.

  • Man I hope they bring him into the game at some point. With the Robbie the Rabbit Legion skins, there's no excuse not to tbh. Springtrap is way spookier than those.

  • I'd murder god for an Eileen skin, but Maria would be awesome too.

  • I swear people keep insisting that "Spine Chill is OP because the killer has to change their playstyle to counter it" like it's a bad thing. That is literally the point of perks. Giving the people who run them some sort of advantage, and the people who face them a disadvantage that forces them to play in different ways.

And this applies to killer perks too, needless to say. I could name countless killer perks that force a different playstyle from survivors. Infectious Fright forces survivors to stay away from whoever is in chase. BBQ forces survivors to hide in some way each time a teammate is about to get hooked. Discordance makes it so that 2 survivors working on the same gen at the same time becomes risky. Any decent Hex perk forces survivors to spend time (sometimes A LOT of time) looking for its Hex totem. Lightborn pretty much disables flashlights.

I could go on and on but I think my point is clear. And don't get me wrong: it's fine that these perks work like this. They are what makes the game a bit more diverse and interesting ---and thus makes it more fun. The idea that a perk changing the opposing side's playstyle is a bad thing is... quite harmful, in my opinion. Perks SHOULD have an impact on the game.

  • I feel like Clown is a bit like Nurse in a sense. Absolutely deadly when in the right hands, completely useless when not. Except that Nurse is an extremely good killer with difficult to master mechanics, whereas Clown is... honestly a bad killer but since there are not many people who play him at all, you never get to practice going against him. And thus when you face a God Clown main he completely obliterates you.

Idk, I feel like all my games against Clown have been either extemely easy or absolutely terrifying. There's no in-between.

  • Robbie the Rabbit is canonically pink so.

  • I can't see ######### with the deep wound status, it's extremely annoying imo and should be fixed so that you see it's there but you can also see your surroundings.

  • She looks too skinny to me if that makes sense? Like there's nothing wrong with that but the actual SH character doesn't look that skinny imo. I think it's the most noticeable on her face. But then again as a SH fan I'm just glad she's here.

  • I am not technically color blind because I have never been tested for it or anything but I used to struggle with seeing some colors in other games I used to play (mostly Overwatch) and the alternative color choices helped me a lot back then.

I feel like having different color options for things that the player should definitely be able to see (ehem unlike Blendettes) is a must nowadays. I hope the devs take this into consideration :(

  • All of them look great but that Ace has such strong Ace vibes oh my god.

  • I don't think he needs a nerf at all. However, judging a killer on their very first day of release feels a bit awkward to say the least. Killer players need some time to master him first, and survivor players also need some time to adjust to his game style so we can properly judge how powerful he truly is.

For me it's still a nope, though.

  • Omg I completely forgot Tapp's existence, that shows how often I see him.

Also I find it crazy that some of y'all rarely see Laurie??? I see her every two or three games. Probably the DLC character I see the most minus perhaps Feng Min. I wonDer why that iS.

  • Pyramid Head's definitely, Akira Yamaoka never disappoints me. Hell as a hardcore SH fan I couldn't be happier that he got to work on those themes!

As for the older killers, Demogorgon and Myers. Both resemble their franchises pretty well. I mean, duh, Myers' chase theme came straight from the movies. But I don't remember Demogorgon's being in the show, and yet it still has this cool Stranger Things vibe that I love.

  • I run Bond most games so I can tell you this game is filled with survivors who mindlessly run around the map without doing anything. No matter the rank. It drives me crazy.

  • I never see Jeff, Adam nor Quentin. Ace and Ash are also very rare but not as much as those three. Then probably come Zarina and Jane but they're way more frequent.

  • Now that I have made my serious input, I'll say that if it comes with a nerf to BBQ and to Deathslinger's bullshit TR I will accept whichever Spine Chill nerf you all want no questions asked.

  • I've read this whole thing (yeah even those guys arguing about ranks for some reason) and my answer is still a no.

You can moonwalk/whatever if you don't want it to be triggered. Which yeah means that the killer has to change their entire way of playing blah blah. You can also not do that and focus on finding the survivors quickly if you know they're there for whatever reason (Discordance, BBQ, etc). "But the killer loses time they could spend chasing!!!" Yeah so what? Perks are supposed to be useful and have some impact on the game. Spine Chill's impact is that: it gives a small heads-up to the survivor so that they can look around and try to hide/get away from that place/whatever. Most killers will find you anyway, unless they're mediocre. Don't forget that killers can also run information-giving (?) perks like Whispers that will assure them the survivor is still there and that they should look more thoroughly.

Also, survivors have to adjust the way they play based on the killer they're facing, the add-ons and the perks that the killer is running. If a killer is running BBQ for example you waste a bunch of time hiding from it. You can't play against a Doctor the same way you play against Plague, nor against Nurse. You need to do different things for every killer and that is fine. Survivors only have their perks to rely on, so if you have to change your playstyle a bit because of whatever perks they're running, then that's fine too.

What is Spine Chill even good for? The speed boost isn't that huge, and it requires the killer to be looking at you, so you're at risk most of the time it's working. It can be good during chase when you combine it with Resilience, which only works if the survivor is injured btw, so that's a combination of /two/ perks that can be easily countered by any good insta-down killer. It's kinda useless against TR killers (casting the speed bost aside) because they have their TR for you to know that they're coming for you, you don't need Spine Chill for that. And yes, it is strong against stealthy killers, but it's not like it completely stops them. They can still approach you, you still have to find out where tf they're coming from (Pig and Ghost Face can be tough to spot on many maps, I sometimes have to look around like crazy to find out WHERE in hell they're looking at me from exactly). Most of them can still do their thing and find you minus perhaps Ghost Face who will have it a bit more difficult than the rest? Idk because I don't play him but anyway. At the end of the day Spine Chill will only be truly useful against stealthy killers and may /occasionally/ save you with its speed boost. There are 4 stealth killers in the game (5 if you count Deathslinger's bullshit M&A terror radius), and none of them is even in the meta right now as far as I know. So at best you will face these guys 1 in every 4 matches?

Idk I typed so much I already got confused by my own post but my point here is that the fact that a perk counters some killers... a bit? doesn't mean it's OP. If anything it's one of the few perks that encourages the original intent of hide and seek this game used to have, instead of endless pallet looping. And overall I feel that the game has much more worse problems than Spine Chill. Those stealthy killers you mention could even get some buffs instead, specially Myers.

  • I've faced some insanely skilled Huntress players that could nail their hatchets from across the map. So yeah.

  • I'm really bad at it though, and the laggy af South American servers do not help.

  • It IS stale. Every killer I face runs the same perks that work the best for that killer. All my survivor teammates run the same handful of meta perks. I try to play around with the perks I have and try different things, but sometimes I'll just retort to the perks that work the best for me (Dwight perks + Spine Chill) because otherwise I fall back compared to the rest of my team & the killer. This game doesn't encourage many different playstyles sadly.

  • Blinding the killer when they are carrying a survivor is so satisfying.

Also that loud noise when you cleanse a hex totem... unless it's Haunted Ground of course :'D

And when you're looping a killer and they miss their hit by 1 cm and you hear this little noise their weapon makes when it hits the window/pallet.

Oh and stunning the Pig/hitting Feng Mig because both make the cutest noises #########

  • If you don't care why do you make a wholeass post about it. Just move on. It's not even gonna be "shoved down your throat" it will only be mentioned in the lore lmao

  • Inner Strength + Head On + DS

Healing in lockers :D Even if the killer is tunneling you :D

That's part of the game. Again; do you log into PUB and complain if you die first? You did not get to 'play at all'. But it's part of the game.

If you can't accept that sometimes you are the first hooked; this game ain't for you.

Even if you played good; your teammates played better, and you were first hooked. And 90% of all 'Buuuh! Camping is EVIL' complaints are when Survivors swarm the hook & expect the Killer to faff off for a free unhook.

I can't believe people can't accept that losing is part of the game. And that's all these complaints are; complaints that you lost first, or quickly.

It happens. It's the nature of a PvP game; someone always has to lose. Stop thinking you're owed any sort of time limit before you can be hooked. That's childish to the extreme.

It's not about being hooked first oh my god. It's about being hooked and camped to the point that all you can do is just stay there looking at the killer's face until your timer runs out. How hard is that to understand? Now we can't complain about anything that you find ######### or unbalanced because it automatically means that we are "complaining about losing". Idgaf if I lose I just want to play the goddamn game.

Also, I repeat: if we go by your "that's just how the game is" logic, it means that we can't complain about anything nor ask for any changes at all.

And "your teammates played better" lol if you're the first to be chased and the killer just face-camps you afterwards it says nothing about your teammates playing better but whatever, you know what? I'm not even gonna bother anymore because you evidently don't understand anything I am saying.

Good job? It's inane. 'The killer should not be allowed to kill me because I bought the game and deserve to play until I decide I've played enough. THEN he can kill me'. *Facepalm*

This is not about "playing enough". It's about not being able to play at all, lmao. If you can't see why this strategy is scummy and totally ruins the experience for the survivor on the hook, I can't help you pal. I can't believe there are people actually defending face-camping, lol.

  • Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Balanced Landing (there are barely any maps with highground so), Dead Hard because ~dedicated servers~

  • The fact that you can counter face-camping killers simply by doing gens doesn't make face-camping ok. The game becomes literally unplayable for the person on the hook. This has happened to me many times and each time I have encouraged my friends to just genrush and escape while I was on the hook, but that doesn't erase the fact that I'm just waiting for time to pass while I'm hanging there, being denied the chance to play during the entire match. This is scummy, much more than slugging or tunneling or any other strategy because here the person who got hooked can do pretty much nothing about it.

"That's just how the game is, if you don't like it play another game" according to this logic we shouldn't even be asking for buffs or nerfs then lmao. Dislike DS? Play another game. Dislike the gen speed? Play another game. You want killers to get buffed bc they're in a bad state right now (Clown, Leatherface)? Play another game. Lmao.

  • I feel like playing around with perks and trying different things makes the game a lot more fun, because if you always run the same perks then you're playing the exact same way every match and at some point it becomes monotonous. I actually have a healer build I sometimes run which is similar to yours, using We'll Make It and Botany Knowledge, and go around the map playing paramedics with a purple medkit, lol.

Sometimes you need to relax a bit and not try so hard.

The totem one is such a good idea, Idk if you have it but detectives hunch would be a huge help to run for a while to familiarise yourself

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1343838#Comment_1343838

Can relate on a spiritual level with the mindgame cringe. Have tried to fake breaking a pallet only to have th survivor keep standing on the other side completly unconvinced more times than I'd like to admit 😂

That is a great idea actually, thank you for the tip :D

  • We'll Make It, I don't know if it's underrated but I never see anyone running it. I feel that speeding up the healing process helps you A LOT to survive.

Also Prove Thyself, generators go nyoom.

  • Legion is fine.

BBQ is so annoying to play against oh my god.

  • I want to get better at looping and I also want to learn all the totem spawn locations by heart so it's easier to get rid of them.

  • The same exact thing happens to me and my friends lmao it's as if people preferred to play killer during the day and survivor during the night for some reason

it's not very low at all, I've done it MANY times. especially since there's 2 keys that can appear to be used for a free escape. and let's note that the probablity of finding a Mori during a game is 0%.

    Maybe I'm just unlucky :P

Having read the bible that the guy wrote up here though I must agree that the key add-ons should be nerfed a bit. Specially those that grant you not losing the key after the match.

I agree with what u say 100%. The issue is that u get the penalty for anything (as i said in the original post) even when the game forces u to leave a bug or it just kicks u out doesn't matter, they need to fix the penalties and make them so if u lose connection u don't get penalized for it or if the game just kicks u out. But ye the entitled killer mains that cry about anything survivors have made it into a ######### hole. But my friend for example had bad connection the other day and kept getting kicked out (we were still talking on discord fine so idk why the game was doing that) and his dc timer got to 15 mins. Which ye wasn't fun for him

You're absolutely right here, the game is so buggy and DC penalty sometimes penalizes players for things that are honestly not our fault (nor our internet connection's fault, before anyone can "if you have a bad connection then don't play bc you're ruining the game for others blah blah blah" me). The being randomly kicked out thing has been happening to my friends too. Lately it has happened a LOT, and we were still talking on Discord as well so it wasn't their internet connection failing. It has even happened that two of them get kicked out from the match at the same time, so... unless both their connections failed at the same time...

  • I will murder God for a Robin skin for Nancy.

  • DC penalty is fine as it is.

People should not be forced to continue playing a game if they don't want to. If a game is no longer fun to you, you should not be forced to keep playing it. I understand why people disconnect. Some of you act like people who disconnect are murdering your firstborn when doing so. They're not. It's a game.

You're, however, ruining that match for the other people who are playing (at least a bit). So the punishment of not receiving BP and having the time penalty applied to you is honestly fair. As long as you don't do it very often, it will only be 5 minutes. If it's longer than that, then you're disconnecting too much, thus being a little #########, and you deserve the punishment (I would know, look at my username :P).

Here, however, I am not taking into account network errors ---and most importantly, random game errors. People being punished because the game is buggy and sometimes kicks you out from matches should be fixed asap. But this is not what this post is about, it seems.

  • I only use it for extra BP. The only perk I actually got from the shrine is Hex: Ruin. But then again, I play this game everyday, hence I have unlocked all my characters' perks through their bloodwebs.

  • Dead by Daylight is not scary, lol. Maybe the first times you play, but after a little while??? No way. Maybe a little disturbing but that's all.

I would love for Springtrap to get added into the game. His design is creepy looking enough, and his backstory fits perfectly for a new killer.

Those saying that the animatronics aren't scary looking are not considering Springtrap (among a few others that are creepy af but mostly him), and are also failing to consider some of the ingame skins, like the elephant skin for clown which looks as silly as most animatronics.

  • Just here to say that "Dwight the Brave is actively destroying the game" is the most hilarious topic title I will ever read in this forum holy #########
