I still haven't met a single console toxic survivor. Most of them are actually kind of sweet

So lucky. I ran into a bunch of them going clicky clicky with their lanterns. Slaughtered them all as Wraith so you can imagine how skilled they actually were :/

  • Anna would crush that dumb cowboy in the blink of an eye.

  • Almost every Huntress I've run into who ran iri head threw her hatchets from pretty much melee distance (kudos to those who actually didn't and still slaughtered me). 1 iri head hatchet is balanced in theory but still op in practice. I'd rather they had more hatchets (maybe 2/3?) but they only insta-downed you from above a certain range (it doesn't even have to be that big of a range tbh).

  • No one, tbh? For example, I'm not interested in Xenomorph or Candyman being added into the game, but since I'm not a little baby I won't throw a tantrum if they are. Honestly anything that people hype is ok for me, even if I'm not particularly interested in it.

  • Aesthetically I love it. Gameplay wise??? I hate it. On both sides. I feel it /is/ more killer sided. Until you face a SWF with an OoO player. Then it's GG good bye killer.

  • Idk why people are so angry about this post, I'm all in for diversity, I won't throw a tantrum if we don't get it though. Some people here seem to be throwing a tantrum at the mere idea of more diverse characters??? I feel the game is pretty good in that sense already, but asking for more (key word: asking) is a harmless thing to do.

The thing that I actually want to point out is the following: the balance team & the people who fix bugs in the game ARE NOT THE SAME as the people who design characters and their lore. Stop asking that you'd rather BHVR focused on bugs/balance/etc because both things are done by entirely different people in BHVR.

  • I agree with this and would also like to add that I would love to get more Latin American characters, too... There are Latin American POC so they could create a character like that :D

  • I think it would depend on my mood to be honest? I feel like I would probably end up playing against SWF for a couple of matches then I would get tired and opt out of facing SWF. It would also depend on the killer I'm playing as. Not to mention that no-SWF queues would be long as #########.

  • I love stats. Anything involving more stats is a yes from me.

Pls don't talk about balance if you think thana is a good perk

Editing bc honestly idgaf. If that's all you gonna say I won't even waste my time.

This is territorial imperative bubba, and has a strat: protect gens in a certain area of the map, not insidious Bubba, ok? Did you even watch the video and the post?

I have read every reply in this post, my opinion doesn't change. There's a difference between "huh look at this strategy it has worked nicely for me" and "hehe let's make survivors rage quit lol 😈".

  • We don't really know that though? I have a friend who sometimes is that laggy and she's not using VPN or anything lol. Just a bad internet provider.

  • Among these I'd rather we got Pennywise. I'm a Springtrap in DBD supporter though, that is the killer I want the most. I'd also like Tyrant from Resident Evil, or an Outlast, The Evil Within or Until Dawn DLC.

To be honest I got everything I could possible ever dream of with Pyramid Head. I'd love it if we got the ones I mentioned above but with the Silent Hill DLC I'm already satisfied.

  • Grave of Glenvale. Not only it's visually stunning, I just LOVE playing in that map, as both sides. It also has the greatest totem spawns in my opinion: not crazily hidden to the point that unless you're running Detective's Hunch they are impossible to find, but also not as obvious and easy to spot as in most of the "original" maps (see: Coldwind, Macmillan, Autohaven).

I know it's an extremely unpopular opinion but I will die on this hill (literally).

  • I know that SWF can be very toxic sometimes, but you need to stop assuming that EVERYTHING SWF do is some kind of machiavelic play to piss off the killer. I sometimes run meme builds with my friends just to play around and have some fun, and killers get so upset. I once got heavily flamed by a Huntress solely because all of us were playing as Steve. Fun fact: we didn't even get to play that match because one of my friends' internet connection failed in the loading screen and the match got cancelled before even happening. We still got insane ammounts of hate from that person, for some reason (including slurs, hate speech, the good ol' combo you know). Of course we reported them but we were like ??? because we weren't even going full tryhard, we just think Steve is funny and his screams sound extremely dumb so we decided to play as him. In fact we faced quite a few killers after that, all of us playing Steve, and most times we all got killed or got a 1/2 man escape.

SWF can be VERY toxic but I feel that people sometimes bark at the wrong tree tbh. Regarding this specific situation, yeah you can camp if you want, you're the killer and if you feel it's worth it suit yourself. Idk why you got so fired up about it though.

i just saw a video titled infinite head on where these two cucks go around head on trolling w/purple flashlights

    that's better?

You can say Ayrun, it's ok.

I agree with you though. I mean OP is clearly ill-intentioned if their objective is "to make survivors salty and ragequit 😈" but I have watched that video and that was... painful to watch, too.

  • Leader has been in the shrine three times this year already (weeks of 14/01, 12/05, and this week). A somewhat useful perk that comes with one of the free characters.

So has No Mither (weeks of 14/01, 04/02, 30/06). A... terrible perk, unless you're a god at looping, that also comes with one of the free characters.

So has Discordance (weeks of 14/01, 01/04, and 26/05). A very useful perk (in my opinion, Legion main here), that comes with a character that can be bought with shards.

So has Boil Over (weeks of 01/04, 26/05, and 21/07). A pretty much useless perk that comes with a character that can also be bought with shards.

One could argue "well, many of these were necessary for the archives challenges". And while that's true, you would think that putting them out there ONCE while that particular archives tome is the current one would be enough.

Barbecue hasn't been in the shrine since the week of 20/08/19.

Decisive Strike since the week of 03/12/19.

If you think these are purely coincidental... idk what to tell you lol.

Also, you can check all the dates I've written here in the DBD official Twitter account, since they post a tweet every time the shrine is updated.

  • Because they are perks in the game and survivors are allowed to run perks? Lol

Y'all complain about DS happening without the survivor earning it, then also complain about Adrenaline despite it happening when all gens are completed (thus rewarding survivors for doing their objective). It's unbelievable lol.

At the end of the day, people will run whatever they want. Killers run NOED, BBQ, Pop, Thanatophobia because they are strong perks. Survivors run DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard & etc because they are strong perks too. There is counterplay to all of this, for example NOED in particular gives me a headache so I've become a professional bones doer to counter it.

If anything, you should be asking for nerfs for these perks/buffs for other underpowered perks (because I believe part of the reason why people run these perks is that the game is filled with many situational, mostly useless perks; surely the DS + UB combo is strong and that's the main reason why people run it, but I don't think we can dismiss the fact that most of the newer perks are extremely situational and thus weaker). Crying about "why do people run these perks they are so mean!!!" will lead you to nowhere. The sooner you understand this the better you will become at the game in my opinion.

Also, the counter to UB is not "not to slug". It's not leaving the area in which you have slugged someone. If people have DS + UB the best choice is either eating up the DS in the early game so you don't have to confront it later, or remaining close-ish to the area where you have downed the survivor so that if they get up with UB you can down them again. Or maybe look for someone else instead of constantly chasing the same survivor. I do agree that DS needs some tweaks though.

EDIT: to correct a typo and also to mention that I had completely forgotten about the skill check thingy that shows up when DS activates. Someone brought it up and I think it's relevant because I've seen countless people miss that skill check ---yep, even myself! So it's not like the survivor hasn't earned it at least /a bit/. And also to clarify that I sometimes run DS, but I never run UB because I simply don't like it lol. I'd rather spend that perk slot on something else. Before y'all come at me with that "hurr durr you're a toxic Steve who runs the DS + UB combo" nonsense.

  • I hate this new MMR system, everyone is like "give it time" it's been over a week already and nothing has changed. I have played countless matches and so has my brother, who is on brown ranks as killer, struggles against most players he is matched against, and keeps being matched against red/purple ranks. You would think that since they've been tracking the MMR since before the update it would be less clunky by now but nope. Also there's literally NO reason to match a COMPLETELY NEW acc against red ranks. No reason. No matter how "bad" those red ranks are (most times they are not), it's not possible that they are as bad as someone who just bought the game and has under 10 hours in it.

That's the other thing I hate about this new system. Many people are like "well ranks don't matter anymore :)", and while there might be cases where that is true, most times it's not. "Ranks are not very important" is a valid statement when you have an extremely good survivor player who doesn't play very often (thus being in for example green ranks) matched against a red rank killer who plays everyday. Or viceversa. It is not, by ANY means, a valid statement to make when you have a completely brand new player be matched against red ranks. There is no way for that to be logical. At all. Stop excusing ######### lobbies with "well but it doesn't take rank into account anymore" because yeah that is very clear darling but I wonder what the hell IS being taken into account because it doesn't seem to be skill nor "MMR" either. And it's been a week. After MONTHS of MMR data being created during every match we play.

I also hated the previous system though. So I wouldn't say I'd rather go back. MMR is actually a good idea, it's just so poorly implemented that I can't stop wondering if it has been implemented at all, or if it's bugged, or if there's something broken that the devs haven't been able to fix yet. Who knows.

  • The matchmaking sucks right now and it's not fair that new players are being matched against red ranks. "Rank means very little" is a delicate thing to say in my opinion. There's no situation in which a new player should be facing red ranks. There are situations in which ranks don't really matter but dismissing every situation like this one by saying that is ridiculous imo.

  • I don't know tbh? I think he's male but tbh I never even thought about it.

  • @Gay Myers (Luzi) said:

Huntress hands down is my forever babe. She can crush me with her thighs any day she wants to.

This is such a big mood oh my god.

Plague is a close second for me though.

  • Killer is more challenging for me because I get so damn tilted so quickly skfjdkf. I would argue that it's easier to play killer until you reach rank ~10 though, after that playing survivor becomes easier.

  • Frank has this dark aura around him that just makes him so interesting.

  • As a survivor I'm not very fond of exhaustion perks so I'll go for demoboi's thingy because I love him.

  • For me it's a strong tie between Ruin and Lullaby. The thing is that by the time Lullaby starts being actually useful, my totem has already been found and destroyed so... Ruin seems more consistently useful. At least as much as a hex perk can be.

  • He's really strongs with certain add-ons....... but very weak without them imo.

    He is hot though.

  • I think it's gonna be the Clown. I wish they reworked the Legion or Wraith though.

  • I wish it was FNAF but it will probably be Candyman.

  • @yobuddd said:

I’m sure you guys saw the flurry of posts a few days ago, but I fully support the idea of the totem counter being 5 lit candles in the basement. One burns out each time a totem is cleansed. It completely fits the atmosphere and theme if the game, and introduces some risk in order to access the info.

Literally this. I agree that having them displayed on the HUD would be too much, like a constant reminder if that makes sense. But THIS is perfect.

  • I firmly believe they chose Midwich because it's the second most iconic location in the games, with the first being Alchemilla Hospital, but that map would've been too similar to Lery's.

I wish we had gotten the very streets of Silent Hill as a map instead. But it would have been hard to adapt because you either make it REALLY big or put a single house per block which would look stupid tbh. And probably kinda similar to Haddonfield/Springwood.

  • I hate when ppl are toxic with ppl who are clearly new in the game or just aren't very good. What even is the point? Like I can get teabagging or bragging if you faced a very strong player and somehow managed to win but when it's a killer that got very few or no hooks at all and had a hard time at loops...

My brother has started to play recently and he's mostly interested in playing killer, particularly the Legion and Ghostface. He has had very tough matches because matchmaking sucks right now (always has but now it's even worse), and I've also noticed he makes some mistakes because he has never played as survivor and doesn't think like one, thus failing miserably at predicting what survivors will do. That being said, he has faced quite a bunch of toxic survivors who kept going clicky clicky with their flashlights, or teabagging at every pallet, or waiting until the very last second to simply leave through the exit gates (waiting for him there so that they can teabag a bit more) and while I know the general tendency here is to be like "suck it up lol it's not that horrible grow some skin" ---why? Yeah surely no one is going to die from a little butt dancing but honestly idk why we can't be nicer as a community, specially with those that are clearly less skilled at the game and just want to have a fun time.

  • This has happened to me so many times in that map and it's so ridiculous lmao it always happens in the same end of the main street also.

  • I don't really know what to think about this but I'm always in for the traps to be removable only after they've been activated because the amount of times my teammates have decided to completely disregard the gens until their still-not-activated head trap is removed (sometimes even with that add on that makes the machine thingies invisible!!!) and that has led to not a single gen being done for the rest of the match... People freak out TOO MUCH when they have the lil hat on and that's why I hate going against Pig. The only killer I hate facing not bc of the way they play, but the way some of my teammates play when facing them.

  • I have always faced more or less the same killers each day. Lately the one I've seen the most is the Hag due to the Archives challenges. But I have some days when I face a trillion Freddys, some days when everyone seems to be playing Legion for some reason, some days when it's plagued with the Plague, and etc. It has always been like this for me.

i haven't been on steam all day but is it just dead by daylight or any steam games?

I'm having the same problem with Blasphemous and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The rest of my games are available.

  • Everything is frowned upon in this community idk what you are talking about

  • Both me and my gf are having the same problem. At first I could open the game but a bunch of DLCs were missing despite me owning all of them. Now when I try to open the game it leads me to the Steam shop page as if I didn't own the gamd already. My gf has the same exact problem. I have over 600 hours in the game so... I hope this gets fixed soon.

  • With my friends we call Spine Chill "the kitten" or "the cat" (el gatito/el gato since Spanish). When it's on we say "the kitten/cat is lit" (se prendió el gato/gatito LMAO).

Lowkey unrelated but we have lots of funny names for things in the game lmao Legion juice (juguito de Legión) for Feral Frenzy, tiny hat (sombrerito) for the Pig head trap thingies, chispitas for the Doctor's power idk how to translate that.

  • People in these forums complain about FNaF being "childish" (it's not) and "12 year olds asking for it being added into the game" then proceed to act childishly and like 12 year olds refusing to read any of the points made and just spamming "no" "lol 12 year olds" etc. Y'all are the real children LMAO.

  • I'm on PC and she looks like that as well lol

  • I believe the DC penalty should be there. I also believe Behavior should fix their damn game so that you're not randomly kicked out of matches by it and STILL get penalized. Which has happened to me and my friends. Multiple. Times.

However, if your game is plagued with people disconnecting, maybe consider that there's a reason for that? I'm not talking about the general "the killer found me and hooked me first so time to ragequit". I'm talking about massive amounts of people disconnecting when they find out that they're going against a specific thing. Because if people used to quit against the old moonwalk-abusing Legion, there was a legitimate reason for that and honestly? can't blame them.

  • No lmao. His speed when he's using his chainsaw has been increased.

  • I never see no damn keys in the lobby because they're so tiny and hard to spot ffs. /s

To be completely honest I either leave the lobby (usually, when they're also bringing a map) or I just play normally. I'm too lazy to change my whole build just to counter a key tbh.

  • Freddy is the safest choice because he's strong even in the hands of a mediocre player. But I must mention that Huntress mains with god-like aim and one trick Hag players with a quadrillion hours on her are much scarier than any Freddy I have ever faced.

  • I love the points y'all have made about the Legion's mori! I find Ghost Face's to be the coolest one, but Legion, Plague and Pyramid Head are also among my faves. And a honourable mention to Demogorgon because he om nom noms you head in a very sweet manner.

  • I don't think an asymmetrical game can ever be competitive. And definitely not one with as much RNG as DBD.

People play like it is, though.

  • I think he's more or less okay now but god damn he moves fast with his chainsaw now. It will take some time to adjust I think.

  • I don't think Billy has suffered as much as people thought he would from the changes, but in exhange for a Spirit nerf??? Hell yeah revert Billy back to how he used to be.

Seriously though, wraith suffers from the old problem with Freddy and Doctor, where your ability to attack is in conflict with, or entirely reliant upon, your power.

    God damn. Well played LMAO
