Releasing old rift outfits for sale in the store belittles the accomplishment and devotion of the players who were around and worked for them. Of all the things rolled with in dbd over the years, this in particular angers me on another level. Why do I spend money on the rift and put in the effort to complete these sometimes ridiculously hard challenges just so someone with a few extra bucks can just get the rewards with zero effort? Its a slap in the face. Please just stop it.

You get all of those outfits for free if you have active rift pass and not spending Auric Cells to anything else. People who wants those outfits needs to pay or use shards to get those.

-You invested 10$ to get rift pass, got huge amount of outfits to different characters. People who wants same outfit needs to pay 10$ to get that single outfit.

Let's take Hillbilly for example. That outfit you got when Billy was Highlighted in pass costs 10$ to anyone who wants it now. It costed you 10$ then and you had gotten different outfits to different survivors/killers after that.

I dont see any problem if people are willing to pay 10$ for outfits which I got for free months ago. I invested just 10€ to second pass and have gotten everything for free after that. All that costs hundreds of Euros or dollars to someone who wants it afterwards.

As I said, I have 1600 hours played in this game. It was alright for maybe the first few hundred hours but at this point I'm just sick of it. The problem I brought up in my OP is receiving a penalty for something you shouldn't when you're technically already eliminated from the match. I'm not in favor of the leaver penalty to begin with. If you don't want to play a match you shouldn't be penalized for leaving it. In this case its receiving the penalty after you've been eliminated all because you didn't wait for a death animation I've seen a million times.

To be clear, you aren't sacrificed until the animation is over and once it is done, you go immediately to tally screen. You must be most impatient person I've seen. Also there is a reason why it isn't allowed because survivors would use it to give their teammate instant hatch and have killer to have any chance to prevent that. Well hatch is going to be reworked but still... I have over 4000 hours and I've seen that same animation thousands of times. Just do something else for those 10 seconds. I guarantee that you are only one to have this issue.

lol ds is still op, you just not good. How can you counter ds at egc? Camping and tunneling? Just don’t get hooked, you acting like you spawn on the hook, killer actually have to go out his way to hook someone to camp. Meanwhile swf can end the game faster then 2 minutes without even trying lol.

Getting genrushed? Just prevent them doing gens, you acting like there is 5 gens done at the start of the trial, survivors actually have to go out and find a gen to escape. Meanwhile top 3 killers just hooks survivors in 20 seconds.

    Get a grip man.

No i wouldn't because i play with it and against it all the time, and ive downed people in the middle of one when they don't go at the right time

So 90% of Survivors play with Dead Hard but you still play "all the time against Sprint Burst"? Does that mean that Some of them uses both of those perks?

  • Hmm. Badham school doors, Groaning Storehouse, and Saloon upstairs door. Storehouse and Saloon doors you need always break and survivors usually run in school and intentionally go down at the bottom floor so it's irritating to carry someone outside when one protection hit let's wiggling survivor to escape.

  • If you didn't get it,it's called Alert. Feng's teachable.

  • @Triadequinaxor said:

Do you remember how bad wraith was before windstorm? stop complaining when survivors can get BNP's and finish gens in 20 seconds

You mean finish ONE gen in 20 seconds. Tbh, Wraith is fine tho. Survivors should just adapt rather than complain about him.

Did you know that there are vaults above the upper floor on Léry's? I discovered that recently.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QVVOAJ4PQOGD/20210904110955-1.png

Those are prop windows which becomes active when the gen in that room is finished. Reason why those are high up there is because they are not suppose to be in the scene yet but they always are there ready to drop to the upper floor making two vaults more.

Fun fact: On its release, Fire Up was so weak, that people thought the perk was bugged. It hasn´t significanly improved since then.

Making it basekit wouldn´t change much. Since its so weak.

Rancor: i suspect that Rancor (or something similar) will be the planned change to moris. Since the devs want it to be something that feels natural and that the killer has to work towards to.

NOED: this could end in a hostage situation when the killer just stands in front of the last totem and goes afk.

That's what I was thinking. They should make key spawn in chest basekit too which hurts balance even more.

Would be fun until you find 2 gens at the basement as a survivor😁.

Only one of them was on death hook.

I would personally save when I not only know where NOED is, but the survivor is also close to the gate and the killer far away.

Okay, one of them was on death hook. NOED in solo ques is warning to get out as soon as possible. Sure right thing to do was to save you but same thing had happened to me hundreds of times at my 2000 solo que hours and I've been saved 3-5 times so I always expect to die at that point. NOED is easily counterable and I prefer to look for totems if you have at least 3 gens done with 1 or 2 hooks. I made a test couple of months ago where I went without any totem aura reading perks for 5 games. At 2 games it took only 1.5 minutes to find all 5 totems, 2 games it took little bit over 2 minutes and in one game one totem was at perfect hiding spot. My main point still is to not blame killer for bringing perk when there is 2 survivors who would easily rescue you but rather they take their 5k escape points than risking their lives to get you out.

  • @Sweet_Tour said:

Seems like more of a Solo Q selfish teammates problem than a Noed problem.

Exactly what I was thinking. Those survivors would leave you on hook even when there is NOED in play. Also OP had 5 saves so they both were on deadhook and no one in normal solo que goes to save in that situation. Just bad luck and I would rather blame teammates than NOED.

  • @bm33 said:

I thought "crawling gens" was going to be about the gens crawling around the map while you try to work on them. 😂

Same here. I thought OP wants gen to move slowly around a map unless there is someone working on that gen.

  • I have this weird habit to crouch exactly 2 times just to say "thank you" if game was close and fun.

I just think do killers misunderstand me? Of course I don't keep waiting at the gate to do that but if killer is chasing me there.

  • Santa Clown for sure. Saw it once in last Christmas but never again.

Next one would be Greek skin for Oni. Same thing, seen once and then only original skin Oni's.

Last one is hard but I need to go with The Birch skin for Hag. After Crypt TV skins were included, I've played just 2 games against a Hag and neither of them used that skin.

  • Same thing happens to me. You just lose your pressure what you would get by letting them find that right box. By playing right, you have always one survivor finding boxes, one being chased/hooked, one going for a save and one repairing. Tunneling the one who have mask on, gives rest of the survivors more time to do gens. Well, people play how they want, I'm not here to judge them.

  • Billy is most fun to go against. It gets even better if there is player who handles him good and give more pressure than casual players.

After Billy there is Bubba and Demo (Well when Demo uses shred attack it makes my game drop frames so at now he isn't that fun to go against)

  • I just laugh at them and really don't care if someone wants to t-bag after a stun. That extra 3 seconds would give them even greater distance so it really isn't that much of a problem. Also some people do it to make you angry so you lose your concentration and play poorly. I've had games in the past where survivor did go under my skin and game went horribly wrong after that. So many missed attacks and I just lost my focus to that game. That was when I changed and just ignored it to keep my focus on a game rather than go "rage mode".

That will never gonna change in pvp games. I suggest to ingore them or don't care about them or just simply take a break from the game.

  • Think about it. Old Billy with better movement and no downside to bumping into objects and can down multiple survivors at once. Oni is top 5 killers at now in my books so there's no reason to even think about giving him this.

  • Because now you can see their aura when being close to dull totems and before it was being close at hex totems. There is huge different to see auras of survivors cleansing dull totems than seeing them to cleanse hex totem. It made "protecting" hex totems way too easy unless there was swf with coms and cleansing bot hexes at same time. That's why people complained about aura reading. Undying should be as it was before and it should keep dull totem aura reading as well imo.

  • @Tsulan said:

Went over some older threads and noticed how people complained about the old Undying. How survivors had to sacrifice 1 perk slot (Small Game or Detectives Hunch) to counter 2 killer perks (Undying + Ruin) and how unfair that was. Asking them to switch 1 perk...

Fast forward to now, and i see streamers come up with gen slowdown builds that contain 4 slowdown perks. Nothing else. No chase, tracking, anti heal or endgame perks. Just gen slowdown.

    Weird how things shifted.

Only problem with old Undying was that killers got to see survivors who were close to Hex totems which made it almost impossible to cleanse totems against Mint Rag Hag as a solo survivor. I would keep the dull totem aura reading and buff Undying to be as it was. It made Thrill of the Hunt completely useless.

  • I do it sometimes as a killer like Clown's yellow bottle challenge or Plagu's corrupt purge challenge.

As a survivor, unhook challenges are timeconsuming because I rarely pick up BT just for that challenge. Still I try to umhook as safe as possible or take hit and start chase with killer to save them.

I do not see usually survivors throw game away for challenges tho. I see more killers to do that.

  • I would say Oni just because he is large character with armor or Pyramid Head with that long sword which can cut half most of the killers in roster with one swing.

  • It depends

    Low rank: Killer sided

    High ranked: Survivor sided

    Solo team: Killer Sided

    Swf team: Survivors sided

Rng is heavily involved too. Good map for killer and good totem spots = killer sided, good map for survivor and good gen/totem spawns = survivor sided.

Generally this game is balanced when there has been buffs to killer vault speed/pickup speed.

I don't have a answer is this survivor/killer sided because rng and rank is huge thing when comparing things like this

Okay that's is at the same time hilarious as it is tragic for the Dwight XD

I was super lucky at that moment and thank you Dwight for saving me. That was fun indeed and tragic

  • I had a game yesterday where killer had rancor and I was obsession and super careful when there was 2 gens left. Had a plan to hop in locker before last gen gets done. Well we got 1 gen done and killer decided to go chase me. Then there comes this Dwight out of nowhere doing clicky clicky while injured, killer downs him and picks him up, he uses DS and 5 seconds later last gen pops. I was just laughing at the exit gate watching Dwight get moried. He had no clue that killer have Rancor until gens were done.

  • @TheDappaScrappa said:

What in your opinion is tunneling and when is tunneling okay to you and when it isn't?

I've seen survivors unhook somebody right in front of the killer and the killer downs them again then chases after the unhooker and the person downed says the killer is tunneling, to me that's not tunneling but I just want to see other people's definition of tunneling

To me tunneling is if killer comes straight back to hook and goes chase injured one even then when he sees them both and does it two times while refusing to go chase someone else. Bad unhooks goes for survivors but killer chasing only one survivor until their dead is tunneling

You can destroy undying before haunted. I had it happen the other day running a build with haunted undying. You have a 66% percent chance of popping haunted though.

Never happened to me. I run haunted and undying on my Doctor and everytime first hex activates haunted and disables undying. I've had 50+ games as him and never been situation where they cleanse just undying.

  • @lagosta said:

@Torsti56 According to the official Wiki the hex transfer only happens when another hex totem is destroyed:

When another Perk's Hex Totem is cleansed, its Hex is transferred to the Hex: Undying Totem, including any accumulated Tokens, disabling Hex: Undying instead.

We can do some rounds to check

And that already says it, if you have ruin + undying. Hex totem they cleanse is ruin but ruin transfers to undying hex disabling undying.

If you have haunted + undying. First hex totem is 100% haunted, no matter which one of these 3 hex totems they cleanse but it still transfers to another totem disabling undying again.

If it's Grim Pantry the hatch always spawns on one of the two main buildings. I've never seen it spawn somewhere else. Every other map is RNG, but a rule of thumb is that it never spawns on the edges of the map (except on Swamp).

To me it always spawns to the edge of the map. Im not even trying to find it, just waiting to wake up activate and gtfo of there.

I mean, I had one game where we had 2 haunted ground triggers already, meaning Undying was obviously not cleansed.

I was on the hook, just got in second stage. My friend had BT, he could have easily unhooked me, tank a hit and then rush to the exit.

But in comes Adam, who notices a burning totem in the corner of his eyes, and decides to cleanse it, knowing fully well that it had a 2/3rd chance of being Haunted.

Guess who died on his first hook that round?

There was 100% chance it to be haunted if there is haunted + undying.

Is that perk really that confusing?

  • @lagosta said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2392280#Comment_2392280

Yep. The match starts with 2 Haunted + 1 Undying. If Undying is cleansed, no one is exposed. If Haunted is cleansed, the remaining lit Haunted remains, the Haunted hex is transferred to Undying, and everyone is exposed.

When cleansing the first totem under those circumstances 2 out of 3 times the killer gets 2 activations.

There is no way to cleanse undying only so no one isn't exposed, this is how it works.

3 hex totems, 2 haunted + 1 undying. First totem which survivors cleanse is haunted activating it but undying transfers to that totem swapping that haunted to the place where undying was.

Same with every other hex perks. First totem is always the other than undying but undying switches that place to there where undying was previously deactivating undying.

There isn't way to cleanse just undying.

  • Tbagging isn't toxic, neither is flashlight clicking

  • I would say Bubba: fun killer to play as and easy to learn.

Huntress: if you can land hit with hatchets, she will be good killer to give pressure and get fast downs.

Doctor: Lot of points even when you play poorly and you have power which can be play flashlights off.

Yeah every game it has happened...I played doc wraith and trapper yesterday and happens with all killers.

The scratch mark situation happens if you lose Los in smaller levels even quicker like lerys or hawkins🙄

There was a point not long ago when killers could hit even when pallet was completely down and it took 1,5 months to fix. When it happened, killers in here just laughed but now when pallet hits are better than last 5 years it's not fun anymore.

Now I understand that this game is played on 6 different platforms. But based on MY expereince in playing the last couple of days, I'm noticing I'm getting paired up with a lot more steam users than what I usually get paired up. In a lot of my matches in the past week I been getting paired up with whole full steam squads which is rare ever since cross-play was introduce. So why am I'm not seeing as much people from different platforms, or maybe I'm just getting paired up with more steams players than usual. But has anyone else noticed?

I think it's because console is unplayable. Everytime killer uses power or survivor uses dead hard it lags out and it's annoying to play when you get these lag spikes and framedrops 15 to 40 times in one match.

  • I haven't seen anyone complain infinite T3 Myers. It's a weak add-on which takes time to activate and when it is activated, gens are almost done unless you play against bad survivors.

Also this add-on can't be compared to Bubba & Billy which needs some skill to play as, well Bubba not so much but Billy takes time to learn.

Tombstone is only add-on which is annoying. Killers always gives these tips ("just hop in locker"), the thing is that you don't know does he have tombstone and they 99's T3 so when T3 is active, Myers is on your butt already. Usually it's first chase and you end up with 2k points which I call kind of bullshit.

So T3 Myers is not OP, neither is tombstone Myers which is annoying still.

  • Inner of course. Just play normally and cleanse totem. Easy to find when you look potential spots and looking for right gen to repair gives you even more time.

You probably need to heal twice in a game and if you heal more than 5 times you play horribly and waste just time.

  • Do: the best you can do

    Don't: be a douchebag

  • Autodidact

    Botany Knowledge

    Bond

    Were Gonna Live Forever

Always when there is healing challenge in archives, this is the build I run. Bond is only perk which can be switched and I sometimes run Alert or Adrenaline.

Well make it isn't good perk for this because you heal too quick and end up 2 or 3 tokens on autodidact. Ususally I end 4+ tokens with this.

  • @Kaitsja said:

All this nonsense about survivors just wanting an escape handed to them is ridiculous.

I'm a Rank 5 Killer main, and rank 7 as Survivor. I play Survivor casually with my friends to have fun. I'm largely unconcerned with winning, and more concerned with having fun. For me, having fun means being able to do my objective to a degree and testing my skill against the killer.

Tunneling may very well be a strategy, but it's a strategy that involves zero skill on the killer's part. It's not fun for the survivor being tunneled, and the other three survivors are free to focus on gens without worry.

No one haven't say that they want "free escapes", what are you even talking about?

  • To me it's Hag or Doctor. Most of them slug second last and goes searching last one. It doens't help either that Doctors usually camp second last survivor afyer finding hatch and uses blast everytime it's ready. Hags just put traps all over the place and stays at the hatch waiting.

  • Survivor have easier master challenges but what makes normal challenges boring is how many times you need play.

    Example:

    Killer: "damage generator 15 times"

Survivor: "repair total amount of 15 generators"

Killer challenge is easily done in two games but survivor challenge takes you 4 games if you just sit on gens and 8 games if you play normally.

Killer: "Hit survivor 20 times with basic attack"

Survivor: "Unhook survivor safely or take protection hit 20 times"

Again killer challenge is done in 2 games max, even in one game if you just go for it but survivor challenge takes atleast 4 games and probably 7 games to complete.

Then there is master challenges which are much easier to survivors where killers have challenges like

Legion: Hit survivors 5 times with a single use of feral frenzy which is all luck based because they need to be close to each other or in perfect distance to achieve that

Plague: Hit 2 survivors at the same time with 1 corrupt purge attack, do this 2 times in 1 game, again you must be luckiest killer in the world to do that when theres never 2 survivors close to each other when you use corrupt purge and camping hook is probably the best way to complete that.

Survivor master challenges are much easier when there is challenges like: "Stun the Killer 4 times" where you have pallets, Head On, DS, Flashlight save which stuns killer or Unhook 2 survivors, Cleanse 2 totems and finish 2 generators as Ace Visconti" which means that play normal game and challenge is done.

Well maybe it should be that way that other side have easier normal but harder master challenges and so on.

Btw, Legion challenge is only ome I haven't done. I even struggled with 4 hits and haven't even try to complete that last challenge. Maybe I should try it.

1 2 3 4 5
