Which is better, Inner Strength or Self-Care?
Both perks allow you to heal yourself without a Med-Kit. Which can be really strong in my opinion if used correctly. But personally, I think Self-Care is the better perk, and I have a couple of reasons why I think that way.
The first reason is that you can only use Inner Strength 5 times if you're lucky. Because it requires you to find a totem, cleans the totem, find a locker, and wait inside it for 8 seconds. There are really no ways to speed up that process, maybe if you use Small Game, Counter Force or Detective's Hunch to find the totems a bit faster. But using more perks to make another perk work better, but only a few times is not worth it in my opinion.
Another reason is that Self-Care can be used as many times as you want and wherever you want. And you can use it in more ways than to heal yourself. It makes your Med-Kit last longer and if your Med-Kit runs out, Self-Care will allow you to finish the heal. Self-Care can also be paired up with other perks to make the healing faster. But the perks that speed up Self-Care will also benefit your teammates. Because you will also heal them faster.
Sure, Self-Care can be completely destroyed by perks like Sloppy Butcher, which is a fairly common perk. Which Inner Strenght won't be affected by. But if you're using Self-Care in an efficient way, you'll probably pair it with a Med-Kit often. That's at least how I use it from time to time.
What are your thoughts? Which do you think is better? :)

Inner Strength by a massive, massive margin. Mariana Trench-sized margin.
You're not gonna need to heal that many times in a trial, and self-care wastes HALF A GENERATOR of time
Almost every self-care user I see ends the game with 7-10k BP because they waste half the game
By themselves Inner Strength. With a build Self-Care
Inner Strength in every way. It serves multiple purposes and is much more efficient.
Self-Care only serves to annoy your teammates.
Self-Care. It will always be reliable to have it in your back pocket.
Inner can be nice but there is a greater chance you could find yourself in a situation where healing could save you or help save someone else but you’re all out of totems.
Unless I’m playing a specific build where inner fits in nicely… I’m taking SC the other 9 times out of 10.
Inner of course. Just play normally and cleanse totem. Easy to find when you look potential spots and looking for right gen to repair gives you even more time.
You probably need to heal twice in a game and if you heal more than 5 times you play horribly and waste just time.
Inner, isn't affected by killer perks, faster, gets rid of totems, cant be seen by nurses, less likely to be spotted, can work with DS etc.no contest really
Neither is better then the other as both are used for different purposes at different stages of the game.
IS wastes more time for a single heal overall (finding a totem = x seconds + cleansing totem = 14s + finding a locker = x seconds + actually healing = 8s is overall a really long time sink for 1 heal) but the speed of the actual healing is very fast.
The main advanatage is that with a build you can use this to regain health state in a chase or use it at a critical time where you need to do gen fast but also need to be healthy quickly otherwise killer might snowball into a win.
SC spares you a lot of time actually (the moment chase ends, just 32s of 1 person healing which is more efficient then having a teammate instantly next to you = 2 people healing for 16s + the travel time and the fact that both are off gens compared to IS's 22s + all the running around to activate it) but can be often misused for healing whenever injured which can hurt the team in the end.
As long as one doesn't trade hits for free and understands game's pacing, it's the most efficient way of healing in DBD.
Overall, both are good perks with weaknesses. Neither is superior as they're both more or less useful in different scenarios.
Inner Strength most of the time. Its not affected by Sloppy Butcher, Dying Light, Thano, or Nurses calling. Small Game has a totem counter so you can know how many IS you have left. You can pair it with Head On, Deception, Q&Q, Small Game, Detrctives Hunch, Flashbang, DS, etc.)
As a killer I'll find people SC in corners wasting time. However if they are using SC to heal other teammates then its a good perk. I do see that sometimes but with soloq most of the time your team isn't doing totems and is self caring in a corner.
Self Care can be every killer's 5th perk lol
