I personally dont lose often when i get gideon. As killer survivor waste pallets so badly and as survivor killer give up the chase, sometimes they give up the match.
So why is it so different? Simply bc most survivor are bad and this map highlights it. They wait at pallets, try to stun and are in panic mode. A red rank survivor shouldnt wait at the god pallets next to the bathroom and take a hit when i lunge around the corner. This survivor shouldnt panic vault the pallet above the bathroom 5 times in a row and vault into me. (I didnt get the hit, but it was close) And a red rank survivor should chain the entire map and not use every pallet as waiting point.

Well I am both survivor and killer player. While I agree solo can be quiet a problem just because a SWF groups have some advantages does not mean that Solo should be buffed. The game is actually designed to play as solo mode. Yes SWF have advantages and yes at solo you cant choose your teammates, they can leave you on hooks and etc... but the buff would not solve this problems and I think that it will even do worse in some contest.
I was playing solo quiet a lot time and then during my solo matches I watched some survivors and ask the good ones to team up with me. We dont use any comms or dont know each other perks. I only know them as good solo survivors and we made quiet a team with them. Just play solo, find nice survivors and team up with them is my best advice.
Solo does not need any buff. Some SWF gain advantage yes but they gain that advantage by using 3rd party softwares such as comms which is considered out of the game mechanic and you should not be using ( However people will which is normal and obv).
And thats were you are wrong. Why shouldnt you use something when the devs allow it? Its not a gray area like stretched resolution, the devs clearly said that they are ok when people communicate.
So when they are ok with it, they can give it to solos, too.
-
Depends on how many gens are left.
-
If this would have been a nurse, it would be different. But a survivor knows that he is exposed and he goes down against a killer who cant use his power? He had enough time to get to a strong loop.
-
I played only against two trickster. One gave up and the other tried to defend his one hook in the egc but everyone got out.
But what does scummy even mean?
-
I played only one game. After two minute one survivor was on deadhook against a bubba. I took the aggro, looped him until he left me bc all gens were almost done. Found me again after all gens were done and downed me with noed. My teammates left and i was frustrated, but then i kobe'd with the last attempt and left.
It was fun but it was 4 red ranks against a rank 9 killer. Matchmaking as usual.

The event addons don't get disabled until the next patch drops.
Right now I don't believe bhvr has a way to disable addons or perks without a patch. They can disable maps because the check is on their end so they don't need to send out a patch to everyone to disable a map.
But then they could have used the hotfix to disable it.

I just don't know why the devs have never considering figuring out how to disable gamebreakingly bugged perks/addons. Since they need to be able to do so without putting out a patch.
@Aneurysm said:
It's actually ridiculous that after this has happened before they still haven't implemented a way to disable perks and add-ons until they eventually fix it. Alongside making it clear that there'll be no consequence for using bugged perks the message might as well be "don't worry, go have some fun with it while you can"
They have atleast a way to disable addons. They disabled some event-addons.

I did! Every single survivor team I go against at night, which are usually SWF, all know how to perfectly counter Huntress. Never vault a window unsafely, always the perfect mix of crouching and running at the few loops you can throw over, always being predictable in moving left and right and then moving unpredictably as soon as you let go. Plus gEn RuSh iSn'T rEaL apparently.
You have to understand also: I'm not a wind-up add-on user. Those add-ons are unbelievably crutch, moreso than iridescent head, because they eliminate one of her few weaknesses: the mindgame at loops. If you didn't preemptive the hatchet, that's fine because babushka just let's you react in time anyway. The way I play Huntress is the way she's supposed to be played, instead of abusing 1 or 2 broken add-ons.
And just because I'm not the best with Huntress doesn't mean I'm a garbage player or a garbage killer. It's 1 of many killers I play. But even so, I feel like I'm playing a nerfed version of her simply because I'm on console.
Im not the best with here, too. Im a good killer, but playing with trickster showed me again that you need to use your power with a 110% killer. And like i said she is weaker on console. But not that weak that you need iridescent head to make up for it (or do you only use this addon without infantry belt?) I personally use shaft (cooldown) and the brown exhaustion addon. Im not good with huntress compared to other killer, but she is a average killer on console.

like 3 seconds of that I was still above him swinging my weapon and as I walked away there was no noise as if someone was healing him
You can see in the hud when somebody heals him. His bleedout timer stops. I cannot see it in your video bc i have only 360p.
-
Stomping new player is no fun in dbd. Its just boring. So this matches are for nobody fun.
-
If someone healed him the entire 15 seconds its possible.

There is a rumor saying that they will reduce the grind but its just speculation.
Yh but i heard this rumor over three months ago. How hard can it be to reduce the grind? On the other hand they needed years to disable the iridescent head/infantry belt combo. So i shouldnt be surprised.
-
If you know you would get a normal hit, dont shoot. Reloading costs you distance and when you hit with a basic attack you can follow-up with a shot sometimes.
-
When they would finally fix keys, it would be not that bad. If it would be a valid strategy to first search chests and then do gens faster with a decent toolbox, the game would be more interactive.
-
Or they could just disable that perk like they did with red forest. I dont understand why they dont do that.
-
Huntress is harder on console. But lets be honest: if you need iridescent head on her to even the playing field you are not good.
Its nothing special to get destroyed against a good team and you will have a hard time to do some shots on console, but when you do only basic shots (Pallet/window, charge the hatchet at one point and wait til the survivor moves to this position ) you should win with one-shots easily.
I dont believe that you got only the 1% which let you struggle with iridescent head.
-
Trickster buffs are in the live game (Wednesday patch)
-
You can fake your shred with demo and when the survivor doesnt drop the pallet, you get a hit. If the survivor reacts to the mindgame and you get stunned, enduring helps.
-
I at the other hand have many matches were i need to do three gens and sometimes even that is not enough. Or i start a gen at the start of the match and another survivor joins me after 1 minute and i need to ask me: what did he do this entire minute and why does he need to come to my gen when there are 7 available.
But enough ranting. The real problem is not survivor being efficient. The first problem is that at the start of the match you have zero pressure. This needs to be solved with a game mechanic. Then when you have one down, chase one and one rescues, only one survivor does gens. But theres the second problem. Many maps make it impossible for the majority of the killer to down good survivor fast enough to maintain this pressure. So we need map reworks.
-
I think they will probably use legendary cosmetics to bring more characters into the game.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
To avoid this, you have to run No Mither as well. You will be surprised how many Survivors want to heal you then.
Yh apparently many dont know what broken means. Its the same when i play with For the people.
-
I think thats the first time i heard that complaint and i read many forum posts.
-
90 on killer, 60 on survivor

Any and all perks are safe to use, and hooks broken by Breakdown (the Jeff perk) only stay broken for 3 minutes, then they respawn.
So you know that Breakdown got fixed and the hooks respawn after three minutes?
-
Its hard to say. I dont know how good red rank player would be. Current red rank is easy as almost every killer and survivor, but there are matches where i need my mains to keep up with the survivor. Im probably around top 15%, but i cant say for sure.

Are a lot of people getting Kindred confused with Bond? Bond, you can see others,, Kindred you can only see the hook and killer's position in relation to the hook, you cant see other survivors unless they are within that radius.
No, if someone is hooked you can see all survivor on the entire map and the same goes for the other survivor when you are hooked.
-
There is no crossprogression and no information whether it will come in the future.
-
I prefer to unhook someone with no mither. You dont need to heal them.
I see people lose two health states in 10 seconds, so i have no expectations for my teammates.
-
L1 i think. I played him today, but i cant say for sure.
-
Discordance can give you good info where to use your red puke. With infectious you can snowball. As gen defense i use ruin/undying.
First i infect everybody. I only infect someone fully when i can bodyblock them. When they start cleansing you need to end chases fast. There are some videos how to use your red puke effective (for example Orzdarva 100 winstreak) Try to use fountains when they are on your way, ignore them when they are far away.

Just trying to be helping bruh. How about you reccomend something and not be a debby downer.
Its hard for a new player to level up many killers. So dont let them waste many bloodpoints. Your other recommendations were correct.
For op: watch this video https://youtu.be/40LMS3Sktcs

Theres nothing to add here.
-
Overcharge is most of the time useless against decent survivor.

This is wrong. Shrine cost 2000 shards. Killers cost 8000
Killer cost 9000.
-
It enables new ways to loop and there are places where it almost guarantees a escape from the killer.
But its map dependent.
-
@Dabihwow said:
Can I say that is one helluva grind, that is impressive as hell dude
Do i miss something? 22000 shards are only barely more than you need for a new chapter (18000). So its normal to get them in the three months between chapter release. Dont get me wrong its really bad to lose it, but it is nothing really special to have that many.
-
Im play only solo and most of the time i enjoy it. But not always. Yes, it is boring to have a good team against an average killer and its more fun to carry a team. But when i get a match where people dont do gens or play so bad that there is no way of winning its no fun. Then i can forget the match and just do my rift challenge.
So the fun for me in DbD are matches where both sides can win. It doesnt matter whether its again a good killer with a good team or against a bad killer with a bad team. Or a 1vs1 against a bad killer who wants to tunnel me. It only needs to be a fair matchup.
-
The time DH buys you depends on how strong the loop is you reach. So not DH is the problem, the problem is the strong loops which buy a survivor so much time.
With less strong loops DH would be a lot weaker.
-
There are two ways to make her phasing weaker: give spirit less information where the survivor is or give the survivor more information where spirit is.
I think the second option would make the gameplay more interesting.
-
Old Bt was to 95% a guaranteed unhook, too. The other 5% were most of the time bc someone wanted to force a ds or gave up and that will not change with the update.
-
Every killer has some addons which dont get used. So having one addon which gives you a handicap is not that bad. There are enough other addons.
-

If you are good, then you don´t need iri hatchets. Red addons are supposed to make killers stronger. Not weaker.
So an iridescent addon should be a crutch for bad killers?
It would make a good huntress stronger in most cases.

Not exactly an exploit.
Red addons are meant to be strong. Not... meh.
Both her red addons are now... meh.
You can play a reload build and if you are good you need to hook the survivor after one hatchet anyway.
-
It can be worth it. Sometimes the tunneled survivor knows what hes doing and would loop the killer far longer, but you never know in solo que. So taking the down for him is the safest way.
-
What do you mean?
Edit: saw the Twitter post

Is a fifth perk slot really enough? I dont think one perk more changes that much.
Buffing solo and then buffing killers is the far better solution.
-
Your teammates need to be smart and do all other gens first. The killer cant stop 4 survivor, even with a 3 gen. But solo que is pure luck.

Because buffing solo q has been making the rounds now more than ever. Youtubers are even talking about it again and most posts are about buffing solo q. I’m just betting it will happen soon.
I hope that it happens, but im not optimistic.
