screw em play toxic. They don't care about your fun stop giving a hoot about their fun.
-
I don't have an issue with this on either side of things.
-
We can't have nice things. Tinkerer makes it fun near the end of a gen! I don't run it enough
-
I'd take that salt and put it in a little grinder and save it for only the finest of meals. 3 Lights and meta perks out the wazoo. That puts pink sea salt to shame. Save that screenshot.

Everything is usually a bit flashy for my liking so whatever it is it's very low.

I'd love to just be able to sell the items I don't want for half the cost.

I'm still wishing that we had some kind of BP buyback system. Even if I got half the purchase price of all these stupid fog offerings and flashlight parts I'd still be in the millions. It drives me insane to have to keep wasting the rewards of so many matches just to forge my way through items that I will absolutely 100 percent not use.

Pinhead is better.

once is a fluke. worry if it happens again. change your shorts. relax.

it'll be OMG PINHEAD for awhile instead of ZOMG stuff gone.
I can't wait for people to start asking why they can't have demo

There is probably a non-compete clause if they chose to make a game of their own and games these days can hang around forever. I wouldn't think it's likely to return.
It being just a map is kind of odd IMO but who knows what hoops were laid out to get the content to begin with.
-
I don't dislike any map we have. The more the better. They just require different play the same as different killers do.
-
Well that's a lot. Not used to MANY replies.
It seemed backwards for me. Survivor matches were a seesaw of very good or depressing teammates. Killer matches I got sweatfests on killers I don't play and goldfish on the standby's.
Been a bit frustrating. I like being able to reason with the scoreboard as to where it went wrong.

ruin plus lazy campers = hate SG
REALLLLLLLY SIMPLE

I haven't drank in years and I'm further through a 12'er and the few shots i began with than I have left by a couple and even I'm LOL'ing.
Appreciate the thought though bud.

sorry but I don't mind being that guy. I don't like having to assume what a person means without reading further.

If your teammates are as bad as you’re saying, then the killer will also be very bad and you should be able to loop them for a long time, or survive long enough to outlast your teammates and get hatch/gates if you’re really as good as you think you are.
There is a difference between being able to at least string some loops together and make a tough save that seemed necessary and not having a team that is competent enough to unhook you.
I'm better than my mostly meaningless rank because I nearly entirely stopped solo queue and the one person I play with isn't as good. Their lower rank makes the rest lower rank, it seems, most of the time. I can take the killer most of the way around the map without throwing all the pallets and then they give up for awhile. I'll bust some gens and whatever totems I find and save who I'm able only to wind up hooked late with a team that isn't able or is afraid(possibly unwilling) to save me on my first hook without my being camped.
I've tried the route of getting the attention sooner so I can help every way possible later one and increase the likelihood of 3 or 4 escapes and for my trouble I get camped and tunneled when I do get saved.
Damned no matter what unless I play with a squad of people I don't know. The last time I added a person I played with they got hooked first and went afk as the first hook of the game. I know because I saved them they stood there. I thought okay maybe they want to chance the killer not returning and have me heal under hook and I said alright I'll try to accommodate my new friend. They were downed under and died on that same hook.
Solo play should have slightly different metrics for skill assessment than squad play.
-
There've been reports of people streaming hacking and bragging about it without a care in the world.
WE NEED BETTER HACK DETECTION THAN EAC OFFERS. It shouldn't RELY on players recording every single match they play.
It'll be a lot of math and a lot of programming but it should be possible for them to see for instance a person downed and healed several times in as many seconds. Are they self unhooking without deliverance or slippery and luck addons to the point that it seems impossible. Did they head on without the perk equipped? How long did they spend at 150% or greater speed vs whats possible for the length of the match?
If they really are tracking in game actions for SBMM these sort of things can be added and sent to another table to check them against. Then just a little upkeep if notes are kept is all that's needed when perks are added or adjusted.

Now try killer. And get squads that act like they're practicing for the next eSports tournament.
Tons of fun being sent to springwood. Getting gen rushed. Getting 3 hooks in maybe 4 minutes and having the game be over. Then the group acting like toxic ######### bags and acting like they were actually good 🤷
WHATABOUT this other thing isn't an argument against something it's a distraction by someone offended without a rebuttal.
IF I solo queue instead of play with my less interested in trying friend you've got to impress me for me to take a risk. It's become common for me as well to, according to given endgame metrics, perform the best despite not escaping because I did some of everything and nobody would take the chance because 5k BP.
It's survivors vs survivors vs the killer. It's a garbage way to have to play. Often some of the most fun are the late game saves and selfish behavior is really discouraging. NOW we can't see if the person was just selfish or likely so new they weren't aware how to go about it. Human nature leaves us assuming the worst unless we've seen someone play so horribly we know they don't have 10 hours in the game.

Even when crouching, Hag can just come back to the hook.
It's just too slow.
Well if you just ran UE every game you wouldn't be slow squatting like a dog. If you play solo you'd better run kindred. Get a lot of people camping you better bring a medkit with styptic and borrowed time. Now that we have an almost fair feeling game we have one perk to choose for a little variety.
We all play a broken game. You want variety get rekt! Play meta or be bored hiding or suffer!
We having fun yet?

But TC is asking for a search function.
either or both would be a nice addition. we'll be on 7 pages of perks soon enough.
It would also be nice for the times you pick someone else to have a loadout for what they have unlocked. With the number of crap games playing solo with people that clearly don't get the basics anything to shave some time off the inbetween would be welcomed by many.

It would be unnecessary to focus on, and they have better things to do. Choose your loadout before readying up. Or just memorize it.
Just because you don't play enough doesn't mean that the game needs something specifically catering to you.
I generally do figure it out first but you don't know what the other randos you have will come in looking like they are ready for. If I'm running my unhook build solo and I get a couple few megs pop into the lobby with lights I'm going to assume they'll probably be trying for saves or getting the attention enough I can prep for totems and gens more over altruism.
You're right though they haven't had a functional game on every platform in years so I'm asking for a miracle if I think it wouldn't erase my disconnected hdds

Preset Loadouts would be nice.
But how are you going to search for a perk that you don't remember the name of?
reading the description and making the loadout then not having to recall its name
-
ya gotta do whatcha gotta do
-
Just because they are in order don't mean you remember the name when you want to. You can misremember names or not know the icon offhand. I think it would be nice to allow presets. Say I want to change from my red herring/unhook build to my disappear under their nose build because two bills popped into the lobby. With no consistent length of time to queue it would be much easier to swap a loadout than find 4 perks you don't use as often.
I don't play as much as I once did and I play other things. It doesn't seem like that awful of a task and it could help everyone out. Just because you all play a bunch and don't have the issue don't mean it wouldn't be a nice QoL addition to a game that others not on the forums would enjoy a good deal.
@CornHub said:
But they're all in alphabetical order tho
@SimpingForKyoraku said:
It's not difficult to find perks. I can pick a loadout, change it three times, and still have 30 seconds left in the lobby. Just memorize it, it's only six pages.
@Seraphor said:
There's only like, 6 pages, and they're in alphabetical order.
It takes about 10 seconds to find the right page, then up to 15 seconds max to find the perk itself if you don't immediately recognise it's icon.
-
The game can get stale. You try to use off meta perks and just get frustrated because you NEED anti tunneling perks. This game can be BRUTAL for solo queue and people who play with a tater. I know my rank should be higher but I've stopped playing solo because you should have someone you can rely on the way a 3 man will just leave you on hook but so often I'm the ONLY person that can string a few loops together.
-
The fun moments are outwitting the killer. Pallet stun after a few good loops and managing to disappear on them is a good feeling. Pulling off a save with a pallet or flashlight. Saving someone as a team from a late camper. The most fun is getting the killer to quit because they keep finding you and getting a hit but not downing you. Say you have a gen at 95% and huntress comes up on you and you run her around a bit and get a pallet stun and manage to get back to the gen and get it to 98 or 99% before taking a first hit and running her around some more and getting back to it again to finish it in her face. She'll down you but she'll hate you for what you've done in her face.
Then you can play with other people and there are a bunch of "wacky" combos you can pull off. I only play survivor with a Mr. Potato Head buddy but I've watched a bit for ideas.
Don't tie your fun to escaping.
-
it's hide and seek in a clothing store. Play more than a few hours a week after you know whats going on and going to happen it gets boring FAST
-
cry more. its crap but they have the right just like the lowest common denominator killers tunneling the first person out so they don't hurt their smooth brains. I just came from wraith match where 2 people did that after the first was tunneled despite at least 3 proc hits GIVEN and I still feel this way. You need softer TP.
-
it seems even less consistent than before
-
@Hex_Llama said:
I actually have a theory about the sweaty killer thing, after my matches today.
In normal times, I match with such sweaty survivors that I have to play as hard as I can just to get a few hooks before I lose. Now that SBMM is turned on, I think what's happening with some of my games is that I'm matching with people who are potatoes like me, but because I'm used to having to play at maximum effort, I am now the sweatiest person in the match.
I think MMR is designed to sort that out after you play a few matches, so we'll see if it goes away over the rest of the week.
I COULD be wrong but I recall it being said before that they were collecting data for a considerable length of time so it could hit the ground running. It hit the porcelain not the ground.
-
It's totally screwed. A match is either a bloodbath or just boring.
Games have gotten to be garbage. updates break everything. patch after updates ruin things you wouldn't find a reason to have been altered. Balance issues are solved with a new DLC perk. Please just quit for new years and do something else. it'll never improve on the whole and the seesaw of better here and worse there is always weighted so it's in overall decline.
-
3 bnp and prove thyself so whats the question again?

So the solution is just to become toxic yourself? Lol
If you aren't nice by entitled survivor standards you don't have to deal with it nearly as much. It doesn't sound nice and it isn't but it's about the only recourse we have besides just take it and like it. Good for the goose good for the gander.

ive honestly never seen survivors giving the killer a kill or being nice on purpose but yet somehow a killer is expected to be that way. ive had multiple matches that i couldve easily won but i gave survivors another chance. well they mostly end up with the survs tbagging at the exit gate and giving the typical gg ez in the endgame chat. Its baffling to me how the "Killer" has to be the nice person while survs can do what they want.
I've refused the gimmie hatch and gate a number of times. I felt I played like garbage and they were decent and tried to let me go but I felt they deserved it and had a decent enough run lately I wasn't hurting for points

Not me. I bounce between Mikey and Trap now. I play others but they've become my regulars. After they castrated Freddy the torture became less enjoyable.

All they are good for is making an excuse for yourself and I miss that :) I'm usually more unhappy with my choices but I don't solo queue with kindred anymore. Knowing is a mixed bag

I never understood the argument that people don't like getting tunneled. Like, if you aren't being chased by the killer, you get to hold m1 on something. The chase is the fun part of the game. I'm glad if i get tunneled, means i pissed them off enough to chase me out of the game and i get to play the best part of the game.
It's fun but without a chance to heal and get to different tiles and maybe earn some other points isn't asking a lot. I hope everyone you tunnel quits

Its insanely hard to be nice with how snowbally the game is.
I mean I have just recently had a game where I had someone always hooked and/or slugged(Clearly a brand new survivor so slugging instead of death hooking to give them a chance) at all times and still nearly lost because it was badham springwood.
I do feel really bad with how many survivors and killers are being thrown in way over their head against me on both sides but at the same time its really hard to play nice.
You can't always guess right if they just don't know what to do yet or if they're caught off guard. Just off them. They'll learn quicker or stop polluting matches with no BT hook trades while injured
-
I swore off being nice. Every chance I get to slow them down or remove them I'm taking. As a rule I don't set out to slug or tunnel but I'm not going to give a free pass because they made a dumb play. If I see you and think I'll get you I will hook you.
no add on or gen slowdown trapper sent to hawkins and two people quit and the others don't want to do gens.
Games full of this dumb stuff. If they earn it i'll reconsider but being nice JUST to be nice. Nah man I'm through with that.

yeah I don't really understand what he means by cake when its their offering not mine
You ended the game so fast when someone brought cake it makes a person feel like they shouldn't have brought the cake. Happens enough times then people become reluctant about bringing cake. It isn't hard to just be oppressive and It isn't fun for others most of the time. Showem youre hanging dong and go for the 32k BP game.

The question isn't should they. The question is if they did how much worse would it get.

Deep Wounds pauses while running, and you need to Mend to remove it. The purpose of running is to delay any potential malicious use of the status, as this is primarily used for gameplay purposes where the Survivor was already in a weakened state. and the Killer is right there.
Burning could require a Survivor to run to put it out before they get damaged, and be applied in scenarios where the Killer is elsewhere (so the Survivor needs to sprint and throw down scratch marks), or at the start of a chase to prevent easily walking/LoS out of a chase.
Essentially:
When a Survivor suffers from the Burning status, a tug-of-war meter appears
Burned------------------||-----------------Smothered
Performing rushed actions, and Sprinting shifts the meter towards Smothered, which removes the Burning status.
Burned---------------------------||--------Smothered
While not Sprinting, it decays towards Burned, which will damage a Survivor if reached and resets the Burning tug-of-war.
Burned---------||-------------------------Smothered
Outside of a Killer using it as a primary component of their Power (being able to decay the meter themselves with something such as a flamethrower) it would mainly be a tracking/disruptor status.
If you wanted to make it an even more interesting disruptor tool/troll status, let Survivors spread Burning to other Survivors they bump into.
goes in the face of stop drop and roll though. Running feeds any decent inferno more oxygen and I'm assuming there will be an accelerant not just Bill falling asleep smoking while wearing his sweater. Human fat candle WOOHOO but gameplay would suffer.
-
It was dumb to have it RIGHT AFTER cakes.
-
Having someone follow me for a whole game pointing me out to a billy I was causing to hit trees and then laughing because he got more points than I while the other two did gens was enough to always be ready to save a replay. We find someone like that and report them they should pay us for doing their job

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/269272/dont-be-selfish-hoard-cakes-again-please
I mean, I hoarded cakes during the entire event while using cakes too. And no, I will not use my cakes. In fact, I have 100+ cakes left from last year that I refuse to use untill survivor BP is better. Once survivors can get 20k BP even if they are being camped on the hook(this can be doable by simply making all survivor catagories a global pool), then I will gladly use up 99% of the cakes I own on survivors. I dont really see the reason in using a cake if I end up getting 6k BP(30k with the cake multiplier) because I was tunneled/camped out. While if I play killer, I can get 200k+ BP in just the average match.
On killers, I have used one every single match.
I don't play jane really at all but I had a cake. I invested some BP and was running blast mine. I brought the sole cake and managed to apply the BM and got grabbed because I was greedy about using it. Rank 20 doc with bought cosmetics, same ones I use, never took a step back after hooking me. Unhooker who didn't touch a gen got me off of there late second stage and was downed and quit before being hooked. 4500 with a cake and bloodhunt and 4 gens to go when i said screw it and stood still. He knew how to play and chose to be fun sucking on purpose. down 1 on last hook being tunneled by doc and 4 to go didn't feel worth the effort.
Nearly every time I bring a cake I get those kind of killers.
If they stay close enough to hook for the models to actually be able to do so why can't we fight back?
1 meter range 45 degrees from center either direction. Let us kick them in the face and unhook.

I don’t know if I’m particularly qualified to give tips but but something I found helped was, you don’t always have to use your blood channel to teleport. You can use it to spook people working on and make’em scatter.
When you spook them and they turn right into you is almost as nice as herding into a bear trap
