Not really, I don't see actually good PHs to using his cages much, as they are such a waste of pressure.

You can't lag switch on dedicated servers.

Congrats on rank 1 😊
Believe it or not i kind of prefer solo, or maybe i need to play with different people. I hate the constant bitching in my ear that I hear. Its fun sometimes but i prefer going in alone with no items and using whatever i can find.
Same, its why I don't like to swf with randoms.

None in the past week, one if you count the past month. Legion game on the swamp, with two OoO.

Ok, I've seen a lot of people saying rank means nothing, but in my experience, yellow and grey ranks are usually noobs, not everyone, I get it some people de rank to troll or just cause they stopped playing for a whyle, but MOST of those rank colors are done for if they face me...
Now, green ranks are average, purple ranks are usually nice and good players who know what they're doing, and red ranks are usually people who think they are so experienced they are toxic or show off their skills to the other role.
Please notice I'M GENERALIZING based on experience and what MOSTLY happens, this is not a rule, there are exceptions, I'm a rank 1 killer who will never camp or tunnel but will obliterate a 4 men SWF, I'm also a rank 1 survivor who escapes 7/10 games (I like playing hero even when I shouldn't and that's why I don't escape more) and can loop the killer for 2+ gens regardless of rank but will never teabag you unless you teabagged me as GF.
Question: If you are one of the people who think "rank means nothing", ask yourself "have I ever complained about a 4 men RED RANKS SWF?", cause if you have, notice I just wrote "RED RANKS" inside of the question.
I think the only ranks that rank doesn't matter in is red ranks, as there is a huge disparity in skill. In the lower ranks people are similarly skilled, even with people de-ranking.
-
I mean I would use a green key ig I wanted to use any of the keys addons. as the keys I feel like are more geared towards opening hatch rather than using addons on them.
-
I mean when I do some of the archive challenges, I feel like I have to thorw the game just to get them done in a timely manner. Even when I'm doing those challenges I usually only switch out one perk for a perk that I need.

Basically, yeah.
That or exactly what I said tie some reward to it.
Two different approaches - fix the problem, or get rid of the problem completely. Either way, something should be done about it.
But its not a problem? It's meaningless as it doesn't do much but how is it a problem, like just because people want it to do something doesn't make it a problem.
-
Yes, I mean compared to the other higher ranked killers she is pretty easy to pick up and do well with. I would know qs I got to red ranks ( for the first time ) with her almost about a year ago.
-
On console the only problem I've encountered while playing him, is the animation of him stopping his saw manually or running into to walls is off, but thats abour it.
-
The new ranking system that they brought in made it significantly easier to reach red ranks because the game would only boot you down one rank set. Like if im in rank 1-4 I only go down to rank 5 after rank reset.

That's amazing! Exactly what everyone wants! I can't wait to express my devotion for this game by equipping another useless little doohickey to my survivor's waist!
Yeah, after tome 1 was finished I just forgot about charms and didn't bother equiping any them.

So out of sheer curiosity I started running second wind and honestly its not that bad. Everyone always says its so bad or one of the worser perks but its really not. I've been having consistent use and activation of it (in red ranks for anyone who might say its cause im going against bad killers/survivors) and I've been having lots of fun in general running it. As long as you're good at looping its a pretty decent perk so how come no one likes it?
I've had similar experience with it. Ever since I got steve and unlocked it on my Dwight it has become part of my build. I don't really get why everyone seems to think healing someone is something that is really hard to do, like I usually get to work most of my games just by unhooking a teammate and healing them at the hook. The situation, that Nurgling7 brought up, of your teammate using self-care is pretty rare. I'd say it is a good off meta perk.

Not your "fault" if the survivor the killer is currently chasing is a very good looper either, but you still benefit from it. Why is it OK for you to benefit from your team's skills, but never be hindered by their failures?
I never said that you shouldn't be hindered by your teammates, its just that when using a mori your teammates are gonna be your biggest enemy. Most the time a killer uses a mori its on one of my teammates not me, but this still massively punishes me even though I couldn't realistically do much about.

??? Keys literally cut the amount of gens that need to be done by 2. I definitely get SWF groups that swap to a map and a key at 6 seconds before the game starts, and then they offer springwood / haddo or some other busted map.
That means to win and pip you need to 3-4k before 3 gens are done? And at high ranks if you are not playing an S tier killer your first hook will usually cost you the first gen. So you get 2 gens to get a 3k which pretty much means your only option is going to be to slug/tunnel/camp hardcore into the usual BT/DS/Unbreakable combos.
No they don't? The hatch spawns based on the amount of survivors + 1. The time the hatch spawns has no connection to keys, so your point is invalid.

Yes, it's called a "consequence for screwing up".
Yeah but its not my fault when I run the killer for quite a while just to get teammates who DC, kill themselves on hook, or don't do gens. Like a mori cuts off about half the time a survivor will be in game for, last time I checked my game wasn't ended that prematurely because of a key.

Did you actually just say that moris aren't fair because they lead to a survivor loss?
I mean yeah, when its almost a guaranteed lost after that, its pretty unfair.
-
I don't think it is fair use a mori, as eliminating a survivor, even just one will mostly likely lead the survivors to losing, if the killer is good. I usually don't use a mori unless I have a daily. I usually only mori on the last hook.

I recently prestiged demogorgon (my main as of now) and I realized just how bad he is without perks to synergize his play style. I keep getting useless perks like monstrous shrine and hex third seal. Prestiging is an even bigger problem if you grinded to unlock every killer or survivor perk in the game. Before survivor mains comment on this post saying " just be good at the game and you won't have a problem" 1. This problem affects survivors too 2. Try removing all the perks most survivors run (DS, Adrenaline, DH, etc) and see how your games go 3. Killer is much more stressful than survivor, making it more necessary for a killer, especially a lower tier one, to have to use perks to keep up with survivors 4. I have played pretty much every killer and usually get a 4k or 3k depending on hatch spawns or how good the survivors are that I face. That being said, I believe a change is necessary to the Prestiging system. The following will be suggestions/my opinion:
1. Make it an xp leveling up system rather than spending blood points on prestiging. It would require the player to actually play the character they wish to rank up rather than spending their time on other characters to earn bloodpoints because that character has the perks and others don't. The blood web can still be used to get perks and add-ons, but not for prestiging and unlocking the skins for the character.
2. Make it a kill or escape count achievement. This will actually show how good the killer or survivor you are facing is. This would also provide the player with an achievement for playing and being good at the game. An example would be: 100: 300: 500 kills for killer skins and 50: 100: 200 escapes for the survivor skins. This achievement would be for each killer/survivor. You would earn BP along the way to unlock perks and add ons to unlock in the blood web, rather than spending the few blood points you earn to restart your progression.
3. Make it a games played achievement. This one may not be too popular, but it shows dedication to the game. Play a killer or survivor 50: 150: 250 times you unlock the bloody skin.
All these suggestions would encourage the player to continue to use their favorite characters, and try out new ones. It adds a sense of accomplishment rather than just grinding for blood points.
Let me know your thoughts or any other changes you would implement in the comments :) have a good day!
I do like the second idea of gaining skins at a certain amount kills or escapes, but maybe not the prestige skins. I personally really like to prestige my characters as it gives me something to work for, though I do see how rough it is for m1 killers to do well with crap perks.
-
A lot of these seem like desync issues. Are you sure its the game and not your internet? The only issue I've had is the survivor teleporting a couple feet after downing them. The other issues are honestly really luck based.
-
The default characters for both sides would win by a landslide. As they are first in the game and the first characters you are gonna use when new.
-
No, as I rarely even look at who I'm playing against and what they bringing.
-
Aftercare, run on pretty all my builds.
-
I mean dbd is a horror game, but I don't think the devs want to go that far with the mori.
-
I usually just work on the gen nearest to me. I usually don't try and stealth around the gen if the killer comes mostly because most my enjoyment of this game comes from the killer and survivor interactions.

I mean honestly spirit. I've only played against her once this past 2 weeks but I can say it was the least fun experience I have had in those 2 weeks. Like even the game before, which was a legion with an ebony mori, was still quite fun.

Same reason some survivors get salty if killers step back and watch a survivor 360 then hit them.
But who gets mad at that?

Well I mean yeah, this advice works for pretty much any game. Nobody wants to admit that they are trash.

No, unless they had a recent change it shouldn't hide them.

I just had a game of solo that was horrible.
I'm a rank 1 survivor, the killer is also rank 1. My team consists of a rank 7, 15 and 20. For the love of all that is holy fix matchmaking and bring the ranks in lobby back. I'm literally playing for no reason at this point as all games are ending the same way. I get hooked and my whole team dies. I've had 5 games now where I've died on 1st hook.
This is ridiculous
EDIT: I also forgot to mention that your solution to this is hiding ranks at the end of the game at the scoreboard. What a pathetic way to hide your problems
I think they were probably a SWF, which even still is absurd, as the lowest rank was 7.

Why do you think dying is a punishment? Survivors still pip when they die.
Killers need all their hooks.
I don't consider pipping winning.

Except it's a hex perk it won't do anything and after 3 gens pop in the first chase it goes straight to late game or it'll pop in the first 30 seconds
Besides both those situations not being realistic, I should have said mid game, as that were the killer would have most the pressure, in most cases.

It's amazing how you only think of it from the survivors point of view. Literally - the killer has killed 3 people before the gens were done...and all you're going on about is "well not it's unfair for the 1 survivor left". No, it's not. Their team lost. Their teamwork failed.
I don't think it's fair to judge a player based off their team. If one good person gets teamed up with 3 bad players they are gonna lose as most of their team weren't being productive, but that isn't the good players fault, so why punish the good player?
-
"Supposedly." Either way I think they are likely to remove the hex portion of ruin so it doesn't depend on other perks to be good.
-
It's quite likely, as it would solve a very important issue, matchmaking. Also dedicated servers are being implemented which are the framework for cross-platform.

I mean he has to hit 2 survivors and absorb blood orbs or harass a injured survivor for a minute while gens are still getting done its a different story when he gets his power depending on the map but he's still as affected in the beginning as other m1 killers
That would be true, but the new ruin is supposedly for the late game, so technically he wouldn't be affected by his power much.
-
It's not a bug, the view button on the control inverts the controls.

Yeeeeeeaaah while there is a killer streamer called fungoose who got 116 streak of 4ks as plague without ruin if he can do it so are you
Im pretty sure Fungoose has like 5k+ hours in this game, so I guess I just need to play for thousands of hours.
-
Play like usual, honestly the ruin change by itself isn't that bad, it's just that have to play killer 24/7 because survivor que times are uber long. Playing killer gets really stale after playing so many games in a row.

His "zap" doesn't works in a chase anymore, according to the notes, and this is intended: "The idea behind the design of Static Blast is to make it powerful as a location tool, but very difficult to use while in a chase, hence the limitations on its use." -Notes
At least Clown has his bottles.
"As Shock Therapy and Static Blast are now linked to separate inputs, we've removed the different Treatment and Punishment stances to improve the gameplay flow. The Doctor's base movement speed is still 4.6 m/s (the "regular" movement speed for most Killers), but he can now use Shock Therapy more easily as he doesn't have to switch stances to gain access to it. So we've added a brief pause after using Shock Therapy before he can attack or use another ability."
There is still shock therapy, its was just changed, so you don't have to be in treatment mode.
-
Cause its easier to type "Rift." That and you know what they are talking about either way so doesn't much matter to me.

Learn to hit greats imo, not nerfing one of the few perks that a killer need to use to counter gen rushing.
It is a nerf though. I use Ruin a lot on my killers and it usually lasts much longer than 30 seconds. I'd rather take my gamble on it being a totem than have it deactivate after 30 seconds into the game.

How does that effect anything? You still got outplayed. You just didn't expect it.

Solo, my friends don't really like the game, and I'd say like 50% of that reason stems from that fact that I can't help them, as I'm in red ranks and they obviously don't want to play against red rank killers.

Not that I know of, but I've been playing a lot less legion lately.

I camped his teammate bud, he just so happened to be a hook over within 10 meters.
Still agree with the survivor, that's like survivors being toxic to a killer because they used infectious fright and slugged. Like that's the point of the perk.
-
I kinda agree with the survivor, I mean camping me cause my teammate was using head on? That's kinda a harsh punishment.
