I've got reported once because a new player jumped in a locker in front of me and I took them out of it. They said I was hacking.
Imagine being banned because you played the game... Because someone didn't know jumping in a locker makes a noise notification and also... I'm not blind, if you do it in front of me, I see you.

I'm a huge Silent Hill fan since I'm a teenager. So, as I started to play DBD after the Silent Hill chapter release (and as my partner gifted it to me pretty quickly), I always have been a Cheryl main.
Also, Cheryl (who will always be Heather to me) is my favorite character. I discovered Silent Hill when I was a teenager. I think I was like 17. I went into a group of French content creators. One of them was making a Silent Hill 3 playthrough.
I watched Silent Hill 1 and 2 after that. I played them a bit, but I was too scared to finish them.
The reason I main Cheryl!

You have to wait for it to be implemented to the game. AFAIK, we have no release date yet.

You're 100% right. I tried to include that in the original post. The way I analysed this was to remove any chase time gained predropping pallets comparing to the previous survivor. This survivor had very good micro regardless given it's a spirit 1v1.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2213002#Comment_2213002
Not sure if you mean motion sickness cos of his camera management but understand it's how he takes good pathing while also keeping vision of the killer.
Yeah I kind of wish people were conservative with map resources in a 1v1 because you're right to say 40 seconds in each of his chases were bought regardless of his skill predropping pallets. This post was a reflection that he was lasting the same amount of time as the previous contender even though he is evidently good at survivor which I tried to dot point some techniques he was doing above.
I think they meant stretched resolution and filters.

Didn't the devs say the DLC would release in June?
I think there is a tweet about it. I'll edit to add it if I find it.

It's fine for me, even on Nurse. I never had a real issue while playing against a Killer who had Starstruck.
-
I hesitate between Twins and Hag. I very rarely saw Twins until recently, where I've met a few of them the last two weeks. I was amazed. I like Twins, but I think it's because I've met only the ones who don't camp.
Slugging, a bit, but it was never a real issue as we most of the time were able to recover. ("We", I mean, I'm solo, but against Twins, I'm always with good Survivors...).
Hag, I rarely see her and I'm not unhappy at all about it. I don't like Hag. I've been playing for enough long for not being scared anymore by the game... But man, her traps always got me. Some maps, they are hard to see, and I don't always have a flashlight with me. The only time I wanna run Urban Evasion. 😹
-
When Survivors and Killer have a nice discussion in the end, no matter the results. Like: wow, you did well! GG! Ah, thank you, you all played well too.
I love when players give compliments and advice in the end. It sounds like we all had fun.
-
Feng: I hate her voice... And I see her so often that I don't know, I just can't handle her anymore.
Meg: I have a big issue with Meg. It happened more than I would expect... I got hooked, two Survivors are on the opposite side of the map, and Meg is coming for... Ah, nevermind. She comes my way to repair the generator near my hook. Time one of the two others start to understand I need help, I have a few second left before dying. And it was my first hook. Each time. I feel Meg has something against me.
Jane: I'm as biased as for Meg. One refused to heal me and followed me the whole map to teabag me... OK, waste your time if you want, I'm repairing a generator. And another one pointed me several time to tell the Killer where I was. I loved to run Bound then... I don't know. Since, I'm suspicious when I see a Jane.

Hag or legion
Same for me. I hate with a passion Hag and Legion.
(And I know it sounds weird, but I love being against Nurse. If it's a super good one, I'm dead, but an average one is fun to go against as I'm an average Survivor. The mind games are fun to me, and I feel it was super close when I got caught.)
-
Don't start a match if you know you have to go soon?
-
Bond, Open-Handed, Prove Thyself. You know where's your teammates are, so you can join them to repair a generator.
Fourth perk can be Fast Track or Stakeout. Or Kindred if you wanna take advantage of Open-Handed to see the Killer's aura.
-
I'm always excited for new stuff.

We need a new map.

Yeah, the arms on the hook thing is really inconsistent. Since it's the only thing you can do on the hook, it basically just means "I'm trying to communicate something" which is about as vague as you can get. I think I've seen it used for both the cases you mentioned, not sure if there's a real agreed upon usage.
Oh, I see. I would like a way to let know people when no one comes... When I'm on the opposite side and I know I'm kind of alone, I do hope my teammates go for it. If I'm near, I'm trying to get the save but sometimes we are like the whole squad coming for the rescue. 😹
-
I only played RE4, and it was like a decade ago. I don't even remember the villain at the end. (Sorry, I'm not a RE fan.) But I would like Leon as a Survivor, he's the only one I know. XD
I expect two Survivors (one female and one male) with legendary skins (so we can play more than one character, like Lisa and Cybil for Silent Hill).
I think I'll get a notification from YouTube when the live starts, but someone can reminds me the time? I do hope it's in the morning, as it would mean it'd be in the end of the afternoon in my country so after I've done my missions of the day.
-
When you crouch under the hook right after being unhooked or right after finishing a generator, it means: "Can you heal me, please?"
When a Killer hit the air while carrying me, I understand they want me to stop wiggling because they want to bring me somewhere. I had a Bubba who wanted to hook me in the basement. He hit the air two or three times before I stopped wiggling, as I eventually understood what he was asking for. I was the last Survivor alive, so I saw no reason to not let him hooking where he wanted to. (He got the three others in the basement, so I thought he had a challenge to be done.)
But there is one I still don't know what it means, and I hope I don't use it the wrong way. I shake my arms when I'm hooked to let people know that no one is coming for me. As soon as I see someone coming my way, I stop. I've heard it means the Killer is camping, but each time someone did that in my lobby, the Killer wasn't camping at all, so I thought it was to say: "Come save me, please!"
(I mean, it was what you asked for? English is not my native language, sorry if I misunderstood a word from your message.)

So, I just checked her latest video on Youtube and she's only Devotion 12. For someone with that many hours Devotion 12 is pretty low, so she definitely leaves the game open for A LOT of time without actually playing it. Why? Idk.
Latest, but when did she publish it? I guess not that long ago...

How do you find those stats? That has me curious.
Anyway, I can't imagine playing DBD to that extent. That implies you don't have a job, or leave the house, and at no point did you ever get bored. There has to be farmed hours in there.
If you type "Dead By Daylight most hours" in Google, you'll find out she's not the only one apparently, and 23k hours is not even the most played time.

Who would let DBD run 13 hours a day for 5 years.
You said she's streaming... Did you see on her profile if she seems to stream a dozen hours a day or something? Like, her VOD, are they 12-13 hours long?
It could be a first hint.

But why does it have to be the norm? Why cant we talk about actual problems instead of useless arguing?
I want people to discuss bugs, optimization, actual problems instead of the 5th "Camping/DS bad me angy" thread of the day.
Camping and DS and whatever are the "actual problems" for the ones who do the thread.
I'm not saying I agree or I disagree with these "actual problems". But what you think is fine could be a real problem to discuss for someone else.

@[Deleted User] said:
That's almost 1000 days of pure DBD. Considering the game has a bit less than 5 years of released (1825 days), that averages around 13 hours a day playing.
#########?
I played an MMO for 10 hours a day during a month I had to stay at home, years ago, with nothing more to do.
It was only a month, but playing a dozen hours a day is possible. We don't know, they could have let the game run on the back while doing something else to boost their hours.
I sometimes let DBD runs in the lobby screen (the one you have to click on Ready to find a match) because I'm doing something quick like feeding the cat or washing something. I probably have one or two hours of me doing nothing.
-
I'm... I have to say it. I'm disappointed they still miss three achievements.

But the problem is, its every day. I love this game but i have to dig to find any interesting discussions because everything else is just the same regurgitated nonsense.
Don't you like to read the same things about camping or Dead Hard?
(I'm kidding. But as someone said, create your own threads! At least, you're sure to discuss about what you want.)

I love how people are complaining about Dead Hard but yet Smash Hit (a perk that literally ends any chase) no ones complained about yet.
How many times did you see it?
Outside of the very first day of the All-Kill chapter release, where people did Adept on Yun-Jin, I never see Smash Hit in my lobbies.

It depends. If they cheat to obtain an achievement, I could feel a bit upset against them. Just a bit, being like: "You didn't even work for it." I'm someone who loves to learn and improve, even if most of the time, I feel I'm bad and I will never get it. So, seeing someone getting a hard-to-get achievement by cheating...
I could feel a bit upset but I won't hate them nor telling them bad things because of it. After all, it's a single player game. I will forget about it soon.
If we play a co-op game where there is no competition with other players, I'll still be upset about cheating and I will refuse to play. As I said, I want to get the achievement by myself, because of my effort.
I think I'm in a 50/50 here. I don't get the reason for cheating, but I won't try to convince people to stop doing it. I will say I don't get it, and I will let them do what they want unless it affects my own gameplay.

Il y a un skin dans le Rift, mais c'est un recolor.
@ImmersedNurse Ton français est plutôt bon ! Il y a des fautes, mais ça reste compréhensible. (Your French is kinda fine! There are grammar mistakes, but we can still understand what you say.)
-
I'm back to rank 4 since the reset, but I'm usually rank 3-2.
I don't even know how, as my running skill are more rank 8-7 to me. I'm acting like a red rank, but I have the skill of a purple.
-
I've been tunneled once as Bill, but that's all. I don't play him a lot, not yet. (Doing P3 on all my characters, it takes time, and Bill's P1.)
In a dozen of matches, happened once. I think you just got unlucky. 😿
-
I don't get it.
-
I don't teabag, but Deathslinger would be the last one I would teabag.
I've seen many of my random teammates feeling like pro players teabagging a Deathslinger at the gates for getting shot.
I'm not even sorry for just leaving them after they teabagged.

I think to buff it they should increase the odds of getting a skill check
Like they've done recently with the toolboxes. It'd be a great buff.

This happens all the time for me as well. I do sometimes get an even match, but usually mismatched as far as ranks go. I've kind of just gotten used to it. The lack of high rank killers, I feel, really hurts the matchmaking. I'm hoping MMR fixes this, but it probably won't because the issue is that killers are a scarcity in general.
Your first screenshot is my experience as a rank 20-18 Killer.
I give up each time I reached rank 18, which is the moment I have only red.
-
MMR. I'm tired of ranking up because a teammate carried us the whole game. They deserve to rank up, not me. I'm not good enough to run the Killer to be red rank...
I consider myself being top green/low purple. The game likes to see me suffering at red rank.

More people want to play survivor than killer. Waaaay more people.
I'm wondering if we have more solo than SWF...
-
People will complain even if you run the most popular perks. Don't listen.
I've got insulted after trying to save a bully-squad who got downed together near the basement by a Bubba. The three of them were doing the generator in the shack, Bubba came and downed them.
I save them three with BT, I got downed. They teabagged me, got hit with BT, got hit again, and it was my fault.
You see, don't listen to people. They will be mean if they wanna be mean. It's real easy to feel superior because we're hidden behind a screen.
-
I always feel it's either well hidden and impossible to find or in the middle of nowhere and spotted in 10 seconds.
-
Completing a challenge first try. I rarely play Killer because I can't meet people of my rank, so doing that hard challenge first try... It makes me happy.
-
I hate Meg's new hair. They look weird.
-
I don't mind, actually. If you do it once, I think it's for the scream. If you do it more than once, you're wasting your time, which is my goal.
(But the Killer hitting me more than once is rare. They know each second is precious.)

On the other hand, Legion and Plague.
Tough one.
-
🤷🏻♀️
-
The game starts. I walk one meter and I hear the terror radius. Bubba comes to me. I loop him for 30 seconds without dropping the pallet (as he expected I would do, I think).
He disconnects.
(I never teabag, click flashlight, etc. It's not even like I've made everything to upset him. And we were both red rank. I didn't understand the reason he gave up so fast. Maybe he actually had an emergency IRL and it came right at this moment. 🤷🏻♀️)
-
I think Survivors are considered more toxic because it's easier to insult the other side when you have three people behind you to agree. Or three people to insult as well, because it's always the other's fault.
Don't listen to them. The rare time I play Killer, I just close the chat and move on. I've been called a hacker because someone jumped into a locker in front of me and I found them. I've been called a tunneler because someone was always coming in front of me, no matter if I went away from the hook and didn't come back when they got hooked....
It's sometimes hard to understand the other side point of view. And I guess people let their frustration speaks for them most of the time.
-
I hope it is. I've got stuck on rocks and trees as both Survivor and Killer. I want it to be reworked. 😭
